Fantastic service. Convenient location. Clean shop. Fair pricing. Many choices. Easy scheduling. Quick communication. I'm new to Silver Spring and was looking for a new salon. I'd heard great things about a place in the mall from a neighbor, and while they definitely had great bling nail game, the place was dirty, loud, had long wait times, and poor service. So, I did what I should have done in the first place: check Yelp. I found Loveaux Nails around 9am on a Saturday morning. After scanning reviews I felt comfortable enough to try it out, so I booked an appointment through Christina's online scheduler - super easy to follow the steps, select services, and add comements. TIP: you'll need a credit card to book time. I actually ended up booking her that morning, and was her first appointment. I made sure to text Christina before my appointment to make sure I made it onto her radar (again, booked a little over an hour before the appointment). She responded within minutes to confirm. I did get messed up with the directions a bit (new to MD) and looked up the address incorrectly; I could have walked but ended up taking an odd Lyft ride to an incorrect place. This isn't the normal experience. Her confirmation e-mail clearly states that she's within Sola Salon and also gives a landmark of a nearby apartment building. I ended up being 10 minutes late, but I was texting her as soon as I knew I'd done wrong. Again, quick response and she was so understanding. TIP: If you take a Lyft, enter "Sola Salon" and not the actual street address to avoid my mistake. When I got to the salon I followed Christina's easy instructions from the confirmation e-mail. Her studio is tucked into a corner down a long hallway. She greeted me immediately and we started the appointment. She took my coat, we chatted briefly about the type of pedicure I wanted, and I grabbed a seat in her chair while she made preparations. As others have stated, everything is new and many items are opened for single use. My pedicure was great. I love her attention to detail and how she adjusted her movements if something was uncomfortable (I'm ticklish!) or on certain problem areas I had. And the entire time, we had a GREAT conversation. She was telling me about local spots she likes, how to find small businesses (I told her I like to support local business), and she told me her story about how she went out on her own with her own space. About halfway through, someone stopped by the shop. Christina checked in with me beforehand to make sure this way okay. She'd made an appointment with someone to talk about her business, and since I'd scheduled same-day I told her I had no problems. She was very clear about her client-first policy, which I really appreciated. She kept the disruption to a minimum and made she to talk business outside of the shop while my feet were wrapped for a foot mask. She did everything to minimize the disruption to my service. I will absolutely book Christina again - for nails, because I know she does a good job, and probably for wax, too - especially after seeing so many positive testimonials! read more

I am here every two weeks faithfully. I am off on Fridays and I use that time to pamper myself. First, Chrissy is AMAZING!!!! Super friendly, professional, and kind. I really can't sing her praises enough. Second, I'm am a germaphaob. Chrissy's studio is always clean, she is always wearing gloves, sanitizing you hands etc. Before the stay at home order she was deep cleaning her studio and taking extra care for us and herself. I got a gel manicure and standard pedi from Christina and was very pleased with my experience! It was my first time working with her and I really don't plan on it being my last. The facility is clean and cozy. Prices may be a little more than typical places, but this isn't necessarily a typical place. It's comforting to work with just one person, build trust, and know that the materials being used are sterile and the work being done is top notch. I searched Yelp for a nail salon near my home and found the great ratings for Christina at Loveaux. The salon is right next door and quite convenient. Christina is very nice and fun and easy to talk to. I only got a manicure and made the reservation online with no issues. The manicure was $20 which is more than I typically pay. But like I said, the place is right next door and I could walk there. I'm saving on gas, right? As she was doing my nails, Christina explained how she does waterless manicures because the process of your water soaked nails drying under nail polish is what leads to the polish chipping. She also mentioned that she doesn't water down her polishes like some salons do, which can also lead to chipping. I admit, at first I was dubious and was thinking, yeah, yeah, we'll see how long this lasts. Well, it has been 7 days and except for the growth at the base of my nails, the manicure looks new. There is no chipping at all. It actually looks like a gel manicure and this was just regular manicure with OPI polish. I am SO impressed! I love the online scheduling. Sure, walk ups are not really possible but being able to pick and choose your time online is great for me. Not to mention the nails!
