I absolutely love that this place is open until 9 PM! Very often I have to squeeze in a mani / pedi after I'm done tucking my kids in at night, and this is the only place I can go to after 7 in the area. The lighting is relaxing, I like all the special touches and my nail tech did a solid job. Got a great (non gel) manicure almost a week ago and it's still on. Usually I pick it off in a few days but this color is too lovely and well done. They are open later than most on Sundays (7 I think). Very clean place with classical music. I've been to most of the places in the area and this is the best. I got the dip manicure done and 3 of them peeled off within a week I went and and said I would like the whole thing redone. First I had to wait a year for someone to be able to actually take me then they told me they would only be able to take 15% off which was outrageous to me. Part of the frustration and my 3 star rating is when you make an appointment, show up on time, they often don't take you until 20-30 minutes past your appointment time. Michelle is amazing! I came here yesterday for a full set and spa pedicure. It was by far the best I've ever had. The pedicure was well worth the money and my feet have never been softer. If I could give this place ZERO stars I would!! Let us start off by saying that making an appointment for this place is POINTLESS. I made a 6:30 appointment and didn't get started till almost 7:30 and didn't get out of there till 9. A refill and pedicure DO NOT take that long. Other reasons I COMPLETELY disliked this place: 1. Too clustered. I felt like I was sitting on top of the lady next to me while doing my pedicure and my nails. I do not want to see someone else's cuticles being scrapped off as if I am the one doing them. Also, while getting my refill another customer next to me was coughing because of the acrylic powder and was complaining about it. That is how close she was to me! Needs more space! 2. The nail tech was EXTREMELY pushy and charging extra for every single thing. It was annoying!!! She even had to ask the manager to tell me to not cut my nails shorter and to keep them the length I have them now because she would have to refile them! I thought that was rude because If I want my nails shorter than do it! Don't tell me I can't because YOU are behind. 3. That being said, she was rushing my nails because there were 10 others who also made an appointment, waiting. That shouldn't be my issue. 4. Since she was rushing she forced me to get a gel color as opposed to doing a regular manicure so it can dry faster since the store was closing. I did not like that at all. I didn't ask for a gel but because she was rushing she felt the need to sell me on why I should get a gel so I can leave faster 5. She also overshaped my nails and my nails on my left hand looks totally different from my right hand. 6. OVERCHARGED. A refill and pedicure SHOULD not be $86! I came here yesterday in search of a new nail salon, and I was so happy I did. It was a nice salon and seems very well managed. There were a lot of nail techs staffed so they could handle the high volume. It was a very relaxing atmosphere and the nail techs were very professional and skilled. First off, it's immaculate, which tells you a lot about the owner's commitment to maintaining a safe, sanitary environment. And the girls are both personable and professional -- friendly and polite but also fast and efficient. The receptionist, who's there from Thursday to Sunday, goes out of her way to try and get you in, even when it's busy. Pedicures are a particular treat, with comfy massage chairs, soft lighting and relaxing music. Walk-ins are welcome, but I strongly recommend calling ahead on weekends - they fill up fast (although they're open till 8 p.m., which is great if you're a night owl like me). This place just opened a few weeks ago and I decided to try it out. I went in for a pedicure and gel manicure... They had a good color selection and I didn't have to wait long even though I did not have an appointment. The Spa Pedicure was amazing. It was relaxing and not rushed she even managed to get all the callus off my heels. The polish came out just OK. She did a good job on my gel manicure, the polish came out better then on my feet. Overall the atmosphere is relaxing and everything is clean. My only complaint is when I looked at their pricing online it varies from their current pricing in the brochure. They should update the website as to avoid surprised customers. On the bright side of pricing... They are currently offering 15% off all services in celebration of their grand opening. Not great. I've been to other Lovely Nails establishments. I got my nails done for prom and they were rude and aggressive with every customer. They were really aggressive with my nails. I was being really nice and respectful, but I always felt attacked. I even said to my mom (who was across the room, in fact every time we get our nails done we r separated) basically I screamed that I wanted a sparkle tip that fades out and that I would show her. I did the style I want at Lovely Nails in Needham (much better) and they put a clear and sparkle overcoat. I explained that is what I wanted before hand and when I yelled across the room I was getting my nails clipped(she could hear me). Anyway I showed her the picture and she yelled at me and was like "U need to say it at the beginning and I can't do that. It's not possible!". 1) I said it at the beginning 2) I told her what to do. She put regular clear polish on. I didn't want a dip or any thing. Eventually she gave a sigh and did the powdered glitter and it is not showing up. She barely talked to me except to scold me. One woman asked to have her nails cut the same length and the employees yelled at her about it. They yelled at her because the couldn't do their job I guess. The woman was also really aggressive with my hands. And it took a REALLY long time! One of the people i was with was late and was finished before I was close to done. At least they didn't make me bleed this time (which had happened a previous time). When they did make me bleed manhandling my hands it wouldn't stop bleeding. Even when I cut myself shaving it stops before this cut stopped. Basically I was treated like some dumb girl which I'm not. I have seen similar comments. If u want a good nail experience with Lovely Nails, go to the one in Needham. This should be a last resort. It should be relaxing and it was NOT AT ALL! read more

I have been coming to Lovely Nails and Spa over a year now regularly and LOVE it here. I have both come in as a walk in and have made appointments and have encountered a pleasant experience every time. I do not go to "any" one particular person which just emphasizes how great everyone is there and I can be quite particular about my nails!! Besides a gel mani, I get their spa pedicure which is to die for and they do a great eyebrow wax and prices are reasonable. The environment is peaceful and relaxing. I was a walk in on a Thursday around 7 pm and they took me right away for a gel manicure. It was $30 a good price. The gel manicure was excellent and does not chip off, it's shiny and has already lasted 5 days and counting, and I wash my hands a lot. The staff was very friendly and the salon is beautiful, calming and clean. The staff was cleaning often while I was in there. The nail tools came from a sealed and sterilized package. I was recommended this place by my mother, who always told me service was good and her nails always looked good. I called days in advance to make an appointment. The receptionist was very nice. So the day of my appointment comes and I get there 15 min prior to my appointment, figuring that would give me time to pick my color. The receptionist said they were about 10 min behind. No big deal. As I'm sitting and waiting I watch as a couple people walk in and are serviced immediately. Annoying, but I was getting a full set put on and I know that takes a while so i figured they were getting much simpler work done. My friend came with me and got her eyebrows waxed as well as her nails done. They did a good job with her brows, but what wasn't good was when they made a comment about my friend (who is a big girl), sitting carefully because she could break the table. Rude. Finally, were seated and getting our nails done (45 min AFTER my appointment time). To make a long story short, it was busy in the salon and they rushed through my nails. Barely any time was spent filing, or drilling my nails. Despite the shape and color being nice, I now have globs of acrylic stuck to the side of my nail and my actual skin. My natural nail underneath the tip has been filed down to the point where they are brittle and cracking, and some of my nails stick up more than others. It has been one week and I can already feel the artificial nail lifting. I called the salon to complain and the receptionist said to send her photos and she would talk to her manager. I did, and it's been days and I haven't received any response. I will never go here again, and I will never recommend this place to anyone. I paid an extra $10 for my coffin shape, gave the tech a $10 tip and am left with a sub-par job. I'll be going to much more reputable nail salons in the future. Don't go when it's busy or they'll rush through your nails, ruin them and never get back to you! Update: I went to another nail salon to have my acrylics removed and the nail technician there asked me if I'd done them myself! I have never had such a horrible experience with any nail salon ever. So I had an interesting first experience here on 7/26. I walked in without an appointment, behind 3 other people unfortunately, and ended up having to wait an hour and a half. I was originally quoted 45 mins, which I thought seemed long for 4:15 on a Thursday, so I was getting pretty antsy by the time 90 mins rolled around. This put a bit of a bad taste in my mouth, especially since I hadn't treated myself to a mani/pedi in almost 2 years and was really looking forward to it. My mani/pedi was very relaxing...but I was a little grossed out when the girl pulled a brush out of her drawer, used it to clean the oil off my toenails, then proceeded to scrub the spa tub drain with the same brush and put it back in the drawer. However, all of the tools are single-use, so I felt a bit better about that, though I didn't pay attention to where the files came from. The regular pedicure included a hot stone massage and paraffin treatment, which was a pleasant surprise. When it was time to check out, I mentioned that I had seen a 30% off coupon online that didn't have an expiration date listed, so I wanted to use it. I was told that the owner hadn't had a chance to update the website yet, but that it was no longer valid. I kind of felt that they should've honored it, being that I was a first time customer who had to wait 90 mins, but I brushed it off. I'll definitely give this place another shot since I just bought their Yelp deal, and I'll DEFINITELY be making an appointment next time.
