came once for a pedicure. I have never had ingrown nails or infections from any shop until I came here. After my first pedicure appointment my big toes were in pain on all sides after a few days, I got to a DR and I'm told I've got to wait for the infection to clear then take nails out. 2 months of antibiotics and it's clear but it was painful. The same service ended with the tech going over my pinky toe knuckle and buffing off my skin and making me bleed. The tech then giggled and rubbed my toe repeatedly stating, "it's ok, I'm sorry". I came back only to get a manicure 1 month later. THE SHOP WAS EMPTY. I was the only person in the morning. The tech rushed for some reason...(I was in desperate need anyway so I can't choose) gave the tech an inspo pic and I thought it was simple... I asked for acrylic and was told she couldn't. Didn't prep my nails/ just warm water, light buff, base, color, top. The dotting tool used had nail polish from previous use and she used a buffing block to clean it? I'm not sure if this is normal.... The picture is same day. Cons; 1.Got multiple ingrown toe nails and infections (this has never happened before) 2. Couldn't do acrylic (didn't tell me why) 3. Rushed 4. Not like inspo pic. Pros; 1. Fast ? literally rushed. 2. The color match is pretty great. 3. The tech is so nice, is an angel tbh. 4. They accept multiple methods of payment

Not even 1 week and theyre already coming off and popping off, i knew this was wrong didnt fully file and prep my nails before doing the acrylic. No wonder place was empty and the lady was still rushing! Very disappointed!!

Her service was really bad she use the same filler in hands that she use in my feet she also made feel rushed n didn't say thank you she did my nails uneven I went home sad it was my birthday nails that was not nice of her

Kuromi Toes Frenchies Wendy and Vicky did a wonderful job!

Wendy and Vicky were so sweet and polite!! Vicky helped me pick the color and charm. Wendy did a real nice French tip I will definitely come back again come down and see all the designs ladies so much to choose from!

I had good service the first time I went I loved my set.. but the second time I feel like it was rushed. I had my appointment at 10 today, and everything was going fine until some girl kept rushing my nail tech saying she's in a rush, and then she started hurrying my nails up a bit. I didn't really like the end of the set they're too bulky and chunky and she didn't cut my cuticles so they kind of hurt and are bleeding a bit.. I feel like I want to go back and fix but now i don't know. Overall paid $50 for the fill which was the price of my original full set

Nice little hidden nail shop very friendly workers. They take their time doing their work. They are very kind. Jay and Hanna did a great job.

This is a small place and we walked in for the first time yesterday and we were greeted so friendly l. Please bring buisness here they are the friendliest people and so considerate they triple check to make sure you are happy with there work. my daughter picked a color and didn't end up liking it and the Hanna took it off and helped her choose another color and the man Jay kept asking my daughter if she was ok and like the nails so far They did and amazing job and are wonderful people.

I love getting my nails done by Jay! They came out super cute and really caters to your what would suit you the best. Great attention to detail, would recommend and come here again!!

We hadn't came for a while due to covid crisis but nonetheless once we found out they opened and was by appointment only we had to get in here and again this my second time here just know I'm walking out feeling good I needed my nails cleaned and they did a good job ! Thanks again you guys !

I called an hour before closing and gladly took me in for a mani and pedi.. They were so nice and I then said only Mani because I felt bad they weren't going to finish on time to close and go home; but they said it was no problem to do my pedi as well... GREAT!! I couldn't go another day with 1 month old manicured and chipped nails...I wasn't even rushed out the door they took their time... Thanks so much!! read more

Gave this place a shot and was deeply disappointed. I was charged 20 for my fill and I didn't even get gel, cut down, or shaping! The pictures are taken exactly one week after. They began to lift a few days after I walked out and I had to file them down myself because I haven't had time to go back to get them fixed. I originally went because of reviews; I'm wondering if this place has changed ownership? Now I will have to pay more to go somewhere else to fix this! read more

I was told Lovely Nails and Spa is offering eyelash extensions. I was skeptical to try, but Nancy did an amazing job. I'm absolutely obsessed! For first time customers they have a $65 special, normally they charge $80. In the past I've paid $100 - 120. I can't speak about the other estheticians, but if you want beautiful long eyelashes please book with Nancy. i couldn't be more PLEASED and HAPPY with my eyelashes!!!! read more

This is my go to nail salon! I've been going to Helen and Derrick for over 10 years. Even though Helen and Derrick relocated, I dont mind driving far to go to them. They are very detail oriented and always do a thorough job. The prices are super reasonable and the service they provide is always top notch. Derrick does an amazing job on eyebrow waxing! They have great help reviews but i wasn't too impressed. My nails look okay. Im not impressed. They are cheaper-but i guess you get what you pay for. The man cut my finger and after i complained about the stinging i thought he would avoid that finger but he didn't. The pain continued. My niece also got a mani and was also cut. She experienced the same thing. One of the employees had her child there and he was running around doing whatever he wanted. At some point he also went to my nieces freshly polished nails and touched them. Yes touched the wet polish and the employee did nothing. Pigeons went in and were eating stuff off the floor. Idk what that was about but one tried to fly out and hit the window 2-3 times. It was so sad!!! Yet the workers were laughing. Wow. (He eventually got out, left injured. ) So i highly doubt that i will be returning to this place. read more

Came in today for a full set, wanted to try something new so I tried the pink glitter mixed with the arcylic powder... Worst idea ever not worth $5 more that's for sure.. As she was filing my nails square she consistently kept cutting the side of my skin.. Also as for a pedicure??? Really they have to bring tubs over full of water... Very dissapoinyed never again read more

Decided to come here due to the reviews but I doubt I will be back due to the cheap nail polish they use. Came on Saturday and my French tip manicure chipped by Monday! Now I know why the guy insisted I get gel for $10 more which I refused, he 3x he tried to upsell me. The service was great and my Mani & pedi were too, but I'm unhappy with my polish results. Monday one finger was chipped and by midweek most of the other nails were too : ( read more

This little shop is very sketchy looking... However the service was phenomenal!! I went in at 6:50 after calling and finding out they closed at 7. I called multiple shops around the area and they said it was too late. Upon my arrival the ladies were so sweet!! They weren't even irritated that I made them stay open for an additional 40minutes. My nails came out nice and it was very affordable! read more

When looking for new places and things yelp is my go to place. I read some of the bad reviews but the good reviews helped me make up my mind. Helen and Derrick did a great job on my nails and pedicure, each time he took my feet out of the water he cleaned under my toe nails after he was finished my feet looked and felt very neat and clean. Helen made sure my nails were perfect. My daughter and I called around 6:35 and they closed at 7, Helen told me to come right on. Most salons will tell you to come back tomorrow. She was even willing to stay open for a young lady who came around 7. I will be going back. read more

I wish I could give them a higher rating. They're really nice, take their time with your nails and are reasonably priced. However, from what I observed they don't practice proper sanitation procedures when it comes to their tools and that alone is enough for me to go elsewhere. The technique that was used to remove the old gel from my nails was also not to my liking. They soaked my whole hand in acetone multiple times instead of the acetone foil wraps other salons use. My quest to find a reasonably priced and clean nail salon continues! read more

Horrible! During my pedicure the guy tried to use the pumice on my toes and ripped the skin on two of my toes. No apology, no nothing! So now I have two scraps on the top of my toes, not cute. I also had a full set of nails put on. They came out fat, wide and bumpy. I had to ask the lady to file the bumps and fix the uneven shape. Now I just noticed she didn't even glue the nail down and there is a gap between my nail and the nail tip she applied. I thought it was only on one nail but it appears she left a gap on 6 out of the 10. Seriously WTH!! Never been to any place worse than this one. Totally regret it! read more

I came here for the first time because it had good reviews. The place is a bit small but I loved that they had spa chairs. I came for a regular manicure with clear nail polish. The place was empty when I walked in here. I was in and out. I left as a happy customer. I will return for a pedi!! :) read more

Too many mediocure experiences...just came from there, and they were kind of rude. The woman that did my nails didnt take direction well, every color i picked for my design she said no. Did my eyebrows and one was thinner at the end than the other one.sat on the table checking them out and the guy was rude asked me why i was still there. Never going back. read more

I absolutely love it here! I have been coming here since 2006 and have not been disappointed yet. I won't let anyone beside Derrick do my eyebrows. He was the fist to do them and no one has yet to do a better job that I know of. Helen and Derrick are kind and patient. They take the is time and do a good job. They recently moved from long beach to downy but I still commute to get my nails done the way I like them ! I come here for every occasion and big event. Love it read more

I patiently waited and after 35 minutes (manager Vivi was no where to be seen as she was in the back and didn't peek her head out). I walked out, at this point i was not going to give them my money and business. Also the place inside is dirty, poor air circulation, rug floor has stains. No one checks in with you to update you. I would give it no stars if I could. There are other cleaner and better organized places than this one. This place is horrible and takes the cake. Don't waste your time and money.

Glad i did. The owner was a nice man who was present and engaging with customers and the employees. I went on a Tuesday for my birthday and i was surprised how busy they were for being a Tuesday early afternoon! The shop was clean and well lit and I didn't see if they had wifi connection but you had good signal nonetheless. There were TVs but they weren't on but they had music on and it wasn't over powering. I liked there was plenty of parking too! They didn't have much selection for colors so maybe bring your own if you have your heart set on a certain color especially if it's an obscure one. I didn't do my hands (only because I don't ever do my hands) The pedicure chair was comfy and roomy and my pedicure was great! They accept cards as payments, but please bring cash for a tip! I'm definitely going back. And wear your Mexico jersey for a discount! (I only grabbed two pictures!) ETA I took off a star for lack of color choices and it was pretty warm in there. I heard the ac come on as i was leaving. To be a little bit fair, I'm hot flashing so everywhere is always extra freaking hot for me.

Instead of aggressively drilling down or yanking my old set off, he removed them with so much care, which I really appreciated. He gave me the exact shape I asked for, and although my design was simple, the execution was flawless. The quality of his work speaks for itself. Safe to say, I've found my new nail tech and will be leaving my old salon behind. I can't wait to come back!

What upset me the most was how my concerns were handled. When I told Annie that I wasn't happy with how my nails turned out, instead of trying to fix the issue or offering any solution, she told me there was nothing she could do. She came across as rude, had an attitude, and made me feel like my concerns didn't matter. As a paying customer, I expected at least an effort to address the problem, not to be dismissed. Customer service is just as important as the quality of the work, and unfortunately, this experience fell short on both. I left feeling disappointed and won't be returning.

********DONT GET LOST******** Google Maps has the address incorrect. It took my gf about 10 minutes to find the place because of Google Maps. It is on a strip to the side of the 99c store sort of along some apartment buildings. Like a previous reviewer, my gf and I followed them from their previous location. TBH, it worked out better... since my gf lives in north Long Beach and it was closer. Well, better for my gf. I prefer not to go with her and do this stuff. But w/e. She pays for it and my dignity is only surrendered temporarily. Again, the biggest appeal to this place is that it's cheap and clean. I noticed a billion other nail places and hair/nail salons in the area. But this one seemed to be very clean relatively to the other places in the area. At least from the outside of those stores. I guess their prices are super low because they need to undercut the other businesses... works out better for the consumers I guess. The owners are nice. They try to speak to me in Vietnamese when finding out that I'm vietnamese. But my Vietnamese is poor so yeah. They have a bunch of massage chairs. That's something new that wasn't in the new location. There's also a TV. This is the one spot my gf can drag me to for nails. It's cheap, efficient, and I leave without feeling too much of a girl.
