Front porch tea is so good! Good chips and guacamole and fish tacos. Still a reasonably priced place to get drinks and snacks! Good service and great atmosphere with upstairs/rooftop seating too!

Such a good brunch spot!! My boyfriend just moved to a new apartment called Shelby ranch, and it has a lot of cute little restaurants and such around it so we're excited to start trying some of them. One of them which is walking distance, is called lower 48 and has great brunch/breakfast. My boyfriend got a breakfast sandwich that looks more like a breakfast burger but was so delicious and he loved it! I got a Moroccan dish with eggs and it was super amazing I really really liked it!! We will for sure be coming back. They also have an updates where they play the Austin FC games and have a bar etc. our waitress was SUPER nice even though the latte took long, she was super apologetic. Definitely recommend!

This place just opened but you can tell it's going to be a popular spot. They have a large outdoor area with tables and some outdoor games. They also do live music every once in a while. The food was good. I got a brunch burger and fries and it was really tasty. I'm not sure what the white sauce was that came with the fries but it was unique and really good. My waitress was super kind and helpful. She was happy to help with substitutions and answer my questions. It was overall a nice experience.

Denver omelette, roasted red potatoes, good quality

Re-opened as of 12/13/2025 Got a chance to stop in for some samples Had a Denver omelette, a brunch cheeseburger, fries, and the chicken and waffles! This place has loads of potential! Love the ambience and atmosphere. Food prices are fair, portion size is acceptable, and quality of food very good. Not crazy about the chicken and waffles though other people at our table like them quite a bit thought my Denver omelette was well cooked. Love the flavors. Had the roasted red potatoes, which were great! Burger looked a little overdone, but was still tasty! Overall, I'd like to try it a few more times. I think they have a good start and this place could be a real winner.

I went for happy hour and had the mussels, onion rings and Brussel sprouts!! I also took Home the SW burger and the chicken and waffles!! All were a hit and would go again!! Drinks were nice sized, and $2 off select cocktails during happy hour. I think apps were $1 off. They have an upstairs area which is really nice but can't serve there yet due to ADA compliance. Hopefully in the next few moths tho bc it was a nice set-up. Only downfall was is it located in a busy cross street, so it can get a little noisy from the vehicles. They plan to set up a band area which should take away from that. They're still going thru some growing pains and aren't ready to handle a huge crowd but that is easy to iron out. The owner gave me a free drink bc he said they were busy but I honestly didn't wait more than 4 minutes or so. Very wonderful staff and extremely accommodating. Will definitely go back!! Onion rings were a little salty but not overpowering. I'd love to see them do beer battered onion ring, but they were fresh and still very delicious!! Brussel sprouts could've used a little less balsamic but I didn't have an issue with that personally. Mussels were fabulous and super tasty. The maple syrup dressing for the waffles and fried chicken were to die for. Yummm

Wanted to check this place out and well hmm...let me start with the good, the shashito peppers and the view/atmosphere are nice. The burger I ordered was the "sophisticated " burger which was supposed to have had Gruyère, smoked bacon, crispy shallots and truffle aioli. I should have been nervous when the waitress didn't ask how I wanted it cooked. Sadly there was nothing sophisticated about this meal. The burger was so dry I had to order a second drink to wash it down (which a $14 glass of mediocre wine made that a bit painful) there was no flavor the one shallot Infound was barely cooked and had green in the center and the fries were cooked in old oil or at least that is what they tasted like. Will I go back? Possible for the shishitos and the view. Service was meh and slow (except for the food runner, he was great)

We came here about a week ago and had a fantastic visit! We were able to order immediately and grab a table outside with no wait, right around dinner time. The food was delicious! The brussel sprouts were a solid appetizer. The burger and fries also was on point. I liked the crab & avocado toast as well. Plus, their staff was friendly too. Gene took our order at the bar and he was helpful. I think it was Heather who brought our food out and she was nice too. We will be back for sure!

Finally got to try this new spot! It was a beautiful day so we sat on the patio which had plenty of space and seats. The interior decor is GORGEOUS! Really inviting and beautiful. We ordered drinks and shared the smash burger and a side of Brussels sprouts. The sprouts were awesome! The smash burger was good, too. It came with fries but not very many. A friend ordered the pickled veggies and another friend ordered the Austin salad, and he gave it a 3/5 (said the steak was overcooked). We went to the upstairs and didn't stick around -- it's beautiful too but without a bar up there seemed like just more space. Might be a good area to host events! Lastly, the bartender wasn't super friendly. I wouldn't let it keep me from returning but just something to point out.

Finally saw the "now open" sign and was super excited for this new place! Great seating options inside, outside and upstairs. They have TV's around playing football so it's an easy place to go and just watch the game. Ordered a smash burger, wings and the shishito peppers. All of it was good- however the blistered shishitos were not very "blistered" and the burger was not "smashed" in any way. Burger and wings had great flavor and I would order again! Lots of drink options and the bartenders were very friendly! Also it's very easy parking with plenty of spots. Worth checking out, I will be back!

So happy to have this great restaurant + bar on Mechanca! We've been here for brunch and dinner and the food and service has been exceptional every time. Order at the bar and they'll bring your order out, but we've also had someone come out to check on us and get us beverage refills. I've had the burger at both brunch and dinner and it is top notch. The home fries are great too, and they'll bring you some Cholula if you like. I love that they have an open patio seating arrangement and a covered patio upstairs for when the blazing heat becomes too much. I'm hoping they'll add a little more South Austin flair to the covered patio upstairs. They also make a solid Old Fashioned, and hopefully they'll maybe eventually carry THC seltzers too. This is becoming one of our go-to spots after playing pickleball across the street.

12/25: New Cocktail menu and Regular Menu

Reopened to new management about a week ago. We went last night and nothing much has changed... The seating inside has increased and the menu has changed. The smash burgers have been replaced and while we didn't order the new burger, it looks delicious. We ordered the mussels and onion rings and both were incredible. Beer selection is almost, if not identical to before they reopened. Really hope they do well because we love this spot.

Ya'll...this is one of the best burgers in Austin hands down. I've eaten here multiple times and have never been disappointed by the food (I do always get the burger). Thrilled to have a solid brunch spot in South Austin. Staff is solid...fast, friendly. Dog friendly patio. I do wish they would spruce up the upstairs with a mural. Good parking.

It's open . This place is going to be popping soon . A real comfortable place to bring families and friends. Perfect for weddings upstairs.

I ordered the migas, and the amount of onions in the dish was overwhelming--so much so that it felt like I had ordered a plate of onions rather than migas. The masa cakes were definitely the standout item and were absolutely delicious. However, the rest of the dish fell short. The sauce was extremely rich, making it difficult to enjoy or finish the meal. That said, the restaurant itself is adorable, and our waiter was fantastic. The service and atmosphere were both great. While this breakfast wasn't a hit for me, I'll still return and stick with favorites like the fried green tomatoes and taquito salad, which were excellent during my previous visit.

Their burger is easily one of the best I've had in Austin, especially paired with their thin, crispy fries. It's my go-to order almost every time. One thing I love is that they switch up the steak portion of the menu a few times a year, and it never disappoints. Right now they have the steak au poivre, which is incredible, although I'm still craving their steak frites and hoping it makes a comeback. The escargot and French onion soup are also favorites of mine. At this point, June's has become a staple in our house--usually with a couple of Diet Cokes and either the burger or whatever steak they're featuring. A few of my friends swear by the chicken sandwich (fair warning: it can get a little messy!), the half roasted chicken, and the tuna crudo, so you really can't go wrong no matter what you order. On top of the amazing food, the staff is always incredibly kind and welcoming, which keeps us coming back. I definitely recommend making a reservation since it tends to get pretty busy, especially during peak hours.

You have to scan a QR code upon arrival to get in line, thought that was weird that the host didn't just add you to the list- anywho. The wait was about 15 min , we walked out to the patio and discovered lots of neat plants, and the mimosa bar. Patio was covered for the most part with ac units and fans to cool you off. We were sat inside. Our waitress was a older pescatarian lady which was cool since i'm pescatarian too. She provided great suggestions and was very personable. We ordered the prima dora omelet which would have used more filling but it was over all good, the black beans we ordered in the side , we possible the best black beans i've had. We also ordered a veggie benidict off the seasonal menu. The hollandaise sauce was a bit bland but I used the yellow bird habenero salsa and it kicked up the flavor profile- Overall we really enjoyed the food, service & vibes!

It's a small space, with only around eight tables and a tiny kitchen behind the counter. It's a bit hard to locate from outside. There's no big sign on the window indicating the restaurant's name, just a plastic A-frame sign outside the building's doors. When I got there, four of the eight tables were empty but the dirty dishes had not yet been cleared. It took close to 10 minutes for the tables to be bused. Because the kitchen is so small, I'd recommend going up to the counter to order as soon as you get there. I believe you can also place your order online using the QR code on the table, but I didn't try that method. I ordered the lox n found, a toasted croissant roll with smoked salmon, avocado, dill ricotta, arugula, onion, and capers.
