I have never physically been to this Lowe's but I felt compelled to write a positive review for the delivery service. My truck has been in the shop for over a month and gardening season is fast approaching. I wasn't able to load up my rental so I have used the delivery service 3 times in approximately a week (there is a weight limit). Delivery is free for members up to a certain weight. The delivery is same day if you order before 2 pm and I can't say enough about how nice the delivery staff has been. I had a very positive experience at Lowe's, starting with a return. The associate who helped me was friendly and welcoming, and the return process was easy and pleasant. I left that interaction feeling genuinely good. Afterward, I stayed to look for a specific type of paint. I asked an associate who was standing in the aisle for help. She took a moment to look at the product on my phone, found it on her device, and told me exactly where to find it. When I went to the aisle and row she directed me to, another associate walked by, asked if I needed help, and immediately pointed out the item I was looking for. I'll be honest--this level of helpfulness felt new. In the past, my experiences at Lowe's haven't always been this supportive. That said, this visit felt like a real shift. I came into this location 3 different Times and paid $2,000 in materials and on the last trip 2 females employees and one male employee tried to say me and my buddy were stealing because we got the wrong type of boards and even threatened us by saying they would call security when we never refused to take them back,I dare them to show camera footage of us refusing to take the material back inside or us trying to run off with it,you would think you would get treated a little better when your spending that type of money in their store read more

My service today was terrible. This morning I was told I can get 20% off if I open a commercial pro account and I declined. Lady insisted and that I can get 20% off anytime I use that card so I caved in. Biggest mistake I came again in the afternoon and wanted to use that 20% but another employee told me you only get 5%. So I practically got the same discount as I would with my regular pro account... I brought it up to management but she brushed it off saying she can't do anything about it. I feel very deceived and I hope this can be resolved. This store has had many issues with how employees treat customers. Very poor service. read more

I recently went in to buy some plants and encountered Maria and the manager of the garden center. I asked him where the plants were that were on the big sign in the front that were three for $12 and neither one of them knew or could find them. The manager wandered off to a meeting and was never available for me. Maria had no clue as to where the plants were what they were how much they costed it was a real boondoggle, and I was very disappointed with the service. I finally encountered four people hiding in the back of the garden center, and when I asked one of them where the plants were, none of them seem to know, and they all scattered and there I was standing alone again. I hope the manager of the Bowie Lowes reads this and does something about the Customer Service. PS-I might also add that I tried to return a $12 faucet pipe the other day and I didn't have my receipt and now if you don't have your receipt at Lowe's, you basically can't return anything. Well, I don't keep all my receipts when I'm doing a large home project And thought I could use my credit card for reference but they said nope can't do that so they started looking it up day by day for the past 30 days I must've spent 30 minutes waiting for the lady too try and look it up, but she never found it. But because of this, I am no longer buying things for large projects at Lowe's. Uncle ordered the bricks 8-in x 3-in x 4-in and days later they delivered the wrong kind of bricks which were 7in x 3 x 3. We called the customer service HQ, and they sent the message to the store customer service remedy this issue. The store was requested to contact me regarding to set a schedule to replace bricks to the correct one. We haven't heard from the store for over one week. So I called the customer service, and it took them so long to answer the phone. I explained the situation, they laughed and apparently it didn't concern them. This makes me wondering why do the managers and HR hire those people who do not serve a customer right and can't even read the order details. We regretted that we ordered a stuff from Lowe's. I wish to be clear. I shop at Lowe's because I have a disdain for the political leanings of the ownership of the competition and I want to support the employment of my county neighbors. I will now go to whomever provides the best experience and right now, it's not this location. Once upon a time if an item was out of stock the sales associate might call another store to see if they had inventory regardless of the computer tally to allow for adjustments. That didn't happen and I drove 40 minutes on faith to Bowie. Sales was easy enough. The sales associate was great, unfortunately he is now on leave for 10 days and those left behind don't know squat. I took pictures and had a plumber look at our setup and he said that it should not be an install issue. I called the store to be sure that installation was included taking nothing for granted. Call was taken by an associate who did not fully listen to my question, told me I needed to come to the store to complete the request (40 minutes away) to arrive and be told that the trip was unnecessary. SO - Although I have a dedicated water line it's copper (and Lowe's won't touch copper, I was told?) I may or may not receive install tomorrow and NO ******* body can tell me for sure. Still don't have a delivery time - and who can get a plumber last minute and not pay a mint? Why cut Veteran discounts on appliances then put thank you for your service on the receipt? This review pains me to write. I worked at this very store when it first opened and have been a loyal customer by ordering all my appliances from here when I bought my house almost 20 years ago. Back in November I purchased a dryer and dishwasher online and selected installation and haul away of the old appliances. The dryer was was installed no problem, but the dishwasher was not as that would require a service agreement that had to be purchased in store only even though it wasn't clear on the website that it had to be done that way. I must add that I was advised by 2 people not to buy appliances from Lowe's because of issues they had with their orders. I shrugged off their warnings thinking my order is coming from a different store and I never had any problems in the past. So I purchased the service contract to have my dishwasher installed at the Bowie location even though my order was delivered from the Severn store. My installation day arrives and the installers are about 1 hour late past the quoted delivery window. He unboxes the unit and it is dented. He calls customer service right away and arranges for the damaged dishwasher to be handled away. It's picked up a couple days later but I need to call the Severn store to see about getting a new dishwasher even though I wanted the same model I originally ordered which is a standard model. I called the Severn store and guy I should have wrote his name could not tell me if the same dishwasher was in stock. He was not helpful or knowledgeable about any of the dishwashers or the return policy and the process of getting an even exchange which was what I wanted. He advised me to go to his store and get a refund. So I drive to the Lowe's in Severn and they refund my dishwasher but not the service contract because that was from Bowie. I decide then the next dishwasher is coming from another company, but Lowe,s poor customer service is not over yet. Later on the weekend before Christmas I go to the Bowie store to get the service installation contract refunded. This is now the 3rd time I have had to go to a Lowe's about this online order. Other stores do not require you to physically visit the store to get your dishwasher installed.The gentleman working the refund desk does not how to process my refund and Phyllis comes to assist. She immediately in an impolite and mean tone says you can't get refunds on installs without us verifying that the install didn't happen and it's Sunday and they can't do it. I'm perplexed on why that would be the case as my dishwasher has been picked up and returned to the store and credited to me. I have receipts for all the transactions and proof of pickup and the voided work order for installation. I politely say why a call was needed for this and no one at the Severn store mentioned when I got my damaged dishwasher refunded. I do not want to make a 4th visit to get my refund completed.Phyllis then rolls her eyes and says "Jesus Christ it's not like your money is going to go back on your card today." That reply is super offensive and unprofessional. I left the store and filed a complaint with Lowe's customer service. A few hours that same day which was Christmas Eve, Phyllis calls to say she had confirmed that the dishwasher was not installed with the Severn store and that my refund had been processed. Based on this experience I will not step foot in any Lowe's store and advise everyone to not order appliances or any installed sales from them. read more

We came to pay for carpeting that Lowes did a measurement for us. In the flooring department there was no "specialist" available or in the store. He hadn't showed up yet. We went to customer service and she got a supervisor to help. At that very moment the "specialist " comes in! What does the supervisor do? He tells us to give him a few minutes to get settled in. What? You call this customer service? So we wait for him and it turns out he can't help us. He's not the "specialist" he's an apprentice. To his credit he did try helping and he called the supervisor, who didn't bother to pickup because he knew it was about us. The supervisor is Matt and he disappeared! I initially planned to give this place, three stars however, as our visit progressed, the decline was steady and nearly rapid. I was initially, surprisingly pleased by the attentive greeter that welcomed me and my husband into the store. This was a warm change, compared to my experiences at the Largo location. Additionally, Mr. Mike was very attentive and helpful and helping us find the wood we were in search of. However, the decline began when we walked back to the cutter, to get the wood cut for a project and discovered that it was out of order. My husband had just called the location to ensure that the machine was in operating order before making the journey, and we were assured that it was functional. We were then escorted to customer service where the woman "assisted" us by listening to the dilemma and responding by asking "ok what do you want, to see the manager?" After waiting 15 minutes for a manager to no avail and requesting that they contact a sister store to check for a functional machine and being given a list of store numbers instead we chose to leave. read more

I am looking to replace all the appliances (refrigerator, double wall oven, downdraft cooktop and dishwasher) in the home I am moving into on Saturday. After extensive research, I picked out products that I wanted and proceeded to Lowe's on June 29, 2020. I wanted to make sure I had enough time to take advantage of the sale and promotion that they had going on. I spoke first with salesman Glendon who set me up for the premeasure (they call it detail), paid my $35 and was told someone from Mega Plumbing will call me to schedule. Glendon never asked me what products I was thinking of. Mega Plumbing contacted me the next day and they scheduled the detail on July 1, 2020. On July 3, 2020, I go back to Lowe's and this time I worked with Martin. Martin informed me that I should have given Glendon the model number of the items I wanted, to confirm they would fit in the spaces. He said he would have to send the model numbers of the wall oven and cooktop to Mega Plumbing to make sure they were compatible. He printed out the items, put them in a folder with my name on it, and said he would get it to Mega Plumbing. He said that it probably wouldn't happen until Monday because of the holiday, so he told me to return on Wednesday before 5. I was a little frustrated with the delay, but i understood. July 6, 2020, I received a call from Lowes asking me what were the model numbers for wall oven and cooktop. I provided it. July 8, 2020, the last day of the promotion and sale, I return to Lowe's and asked for Martin. I arrived to the store at approximate 4:03pm. I was informed that Martin was gone for the day. I am now working with Nebyou. I explained my situation and had to start the process almost completely over. Nebyou informed me that the detail for the cooktop was never performed. It was only done for the wall oven. He called his manager Joe over and Joe informed me that if I ordered the appliances that I could preserve the sale and promotion price and that if the cooktop didn't fit, he would swap it out for another item, same price within reason. I was annoyed that I wasn't truly offered anything for my inconvenience, but all I truly want is appliances. I am now working with Nebyou and I inform him I needed to be gone by 5:15 pm...it was now 4:43 pm. Nebyou said no problem. I provided him with all the model numbers and he started the order. The friend I had with me was asking questions about the products, installation and delivery and he was very dismissive. I brought her along because she was more knowledgeable than I am. We asked when the items would be available, we never received a response. At 5:15 pm, the order still wasn't complete. I asked if I could complete it over the phone and he handed me his business card and told me that I could call back to pay for everything. As I was driving away, I started thinking about how Lowe's just didn't seem to truly want my business. I never called back to the store and no one contacted me. My husband decided to go up there in person to finish the order. After waiting nearly 30 minutes, he finds out that everything isn't correct. They were in the process of ordering me 2 cooktops and both were gas. The paperwork I received from Lowe's clearly states all appliances should be electric. At this point, my husband wants the measurements or a refund of the $35. He was told by Nebyou that he couldn't get the measurements and the $35 detail cost is nonrefundable. No document we received stated that. In addition, we paid for a service we never received. So, after speaking with Joe, my husband was told he would receive the refund, but he has to come back today to get it. So, after a total of 5 visits, we will be back to square one. Terrible experience ordering a washer and dryer. I was supposed to get a call from the delivery service the night before giving me a time frame - didn't happen. When I called Lowe's, they said they had no access to delivery info and gave me the delivery service's #. Called them, no record of my order. Called Lowe's back, but it was getting close to closing so they wouldn't talk to me - they told me the manager would be in at 5am the following morning. Delivery day: I called Lowes at 5am and the manager was late so I tried two more time closer to 6am - no answer, so I went to the store. Customer service miraculously pulled out a sheet with all the delivery info, including mine but with different contact info than I gave them. They proceeded to blame me for giving them the wrong info. Fixed that and all seemed well, until I got a call saying they didn't have everything I ordered and wanted to reschedule - and yes, I had taken the day off work because their delivery dates weren't flexible. I refused to reschedule, yelled, complained, asked for my money back, and they somehow showed up with all the parts without rescheduling... and the delivery was almost an hour earlier than the window Lowe's told me. Normally early isn't bad, but I was literally walking out the door to go to the grocery story when the truck pulled up - could have missed them entirely, so just expect to spend the whole day at home regardless of the delivery window. Icing on the cake was that the delivery guy wouldn't hook up the washing machine because he didn't know where the drain pipe was. I showed him, but he didn't believe that was it and refused to hook it up. It's an older house... build in the 60s, but the same exactly design as most of my county. So yeah, instead, I have to spend at least $100 more to have a plumber come do it (or blindly trust youtube). read more

Never again will I order anything from this store. I order a simple drop in gas cooktop, thought I had paid for installation, at least that's what the site said(guess not). The delivery of the appliance was fine, the guys were nice/professional. The trouble started when trying to get this installed. I called numerous people over two days, being placed on hold, transferred, etc. Then I was told I needed to come in to sign a contract! Is this not 2022??!! WTH? My next trip I am bringing a ninja to see if they can find someone faster. When you do find someone, they move so slow that you can physically see them getting older while waiting to checkout. Oh the woes of living on your own. Adulting led me here and sanity will keep me out. This review isn't about a product, but the staff and their obvious lack of desire to actually interact with customers. I walked in, past a greeter who didn't actually greet. He just stares at you as you walk in. I was fairly sure I'd be able to find what I needed without assistance. Turns out, I was wrong. I searched for someone to help and finally saw a woman who didn't have on a Lowe's apron, but had just gotten off a phone behind a register. When I asked her if she worked there, she appeared confused and said "yeah?" with a certain curiosity. Her facial expression indicated a clear disinterest in helping me. I asked her if she had a moment and she said "sure" sarcastically. Disturbed, I told her what I was looking for and she pointed me to the correct aisle. While she had pointed me in the right direction, I was still having trouble finding exactly what I needed. As I sifted through items, a staff member walked by and I politely said "excuse me" and be said "yeah" very begrudgingly. He actually wouldn't come closer to where I was so I could show him what I was confused about. Finally... when I said "well, can I show you" he reluctantly came near. I got my cootie shot sir. Anyway, he didn't know what I was asking which is fine, but instead of calling for help.. he picked up a random item and said "here, you can try this". He was not at all confident in his suggestion and seemed like a generally confused person. I ended up finding an item that seemed more reasonable for my needs. Then, I needed one more thing and found a staff member who used a handheld device to look up "microfiber mop", he told me they didn't carry them in the store, only microfiber towels. I decided to walk back and look at the cleaning supplies to see what I could find. As soon as I got in the aisle... guess what I see?!! You guessed it.. several microfiber mops and sweepers. Not only are the staff interesting, the handheld devices DO NOT WORK. I hope to not have to come back here, the staff members are all really odd in their presentation. It's a friendly Lowes and fairly large. The location is convenient off of Route 50 near Bowie. It is the closest and only store to Annapolis - which is disappointing. It's not that far but far enough to make it an effort to get to. They have a huge outdoor area and appliance section. There always seems to be someone nearby to assist. I was there the other night and it was so empty but when I went to check out, only one register was open at the time and a huge line. That frustrates me. But they immediately opened up the customer service and moved the people through. They were very friendly. One thing to note is there is no "Self Check Out" as there are at all the other Home Depot Stores. That can be a good thing or bad thing depending on your preferences. read more

The 1st two times I stood at the "Pickup" table in the Entrance way, for over 10 minutes. No one ever came. Finally, both times, I was told by an employee that I needed to go inside and wait in A huge "returns" line inside that offered no chance of "social distancing". Today, there was a couple standing in front of the "Pickup" table that said they had been waiting over 10 minutes. So, I went straight to the "returns" line inside. After standing in line for 15 minutes, I got to the front of the line only to be told by the associate, I had to go wait outside in the "Pickup" line. I went a back out to find the same couple still standing at the front of the line and now about 10 people standing behind them, again in no way social distanced. Shame on Lowe's! read more

In fact, 3 other customers showed up while we were there and ended up going to grab their own online orders from the store since their orders hadn't been filled either. * Management does not answer the phones. * Poor customer service. You can make due if you go to shop in the store yourself and not require any assistance. However, customer service is important and this location lacks it. read more

They will lie and shrug when you come back. And now and I have a dead plant with a receipt just weeks outside of the *new* 90 day return policy they're now pointing to to deny the return. I'll stick with Home Depot for my home & plant needs and urge others to do the same. Lowe's and garden manager Ryanne, do better. Bowie Lowe's is the most unhelpful home improvement retailer I have been to in the last ten years. The employees are rude and incompetent in my experience. I have been trying to rent some equipment, and it's been one big headache. First they tell you they will call to let you know if the equipment is available, but they never call. When you call, they don't pick up the phone. If they do, they put you on hold for an hour. One person tells you the equipment is available, and another that it's broken. I was in the store twice over the last week, once to help my parents buy a new washer and dryer then two days later as the dryer was faulty. We first dealt with Sasha the Asst Manager, who was wonderful in getting us to the right person to facilitate an exchange. He brought us to Francis who was so extremely helpful in getting the pickup of the faulty machine and the delivery of the new one on the same day!! Rose then assisted us with all the paperwork. Lowes can improve on their answering the phones, as well as proper training given to phone receptionist, as she is the first person customers talk to. Of all the Lowe's (and other home improvement stores in Bowie) this is by far the worst staffed of all. With precious few exceptions, the staff is not helpful, are discourteous, and are not very knowledgeable. The real travesty is the order fulfillment department. I've tried to remain loyal to Lowe's but over the past few years the quality of support from order fulfillment has reached new lows. On several occasions I've been notified that an order is ready to pick up. Upon arriving at the store, the customer support desk then tells me that they will get someone to pull the items from the shelves and I wait for an hour or more. What is the point of being told that the order is ready to pick up? Order delivery is just as bad, or if possible it is even worse than picking up in the store. Incomplete order delivery, wrong items being delivered, and more issues plague the order fulfillment department. Just this week I made a significant order from the store. I was given a specific date for delivery when the order was entered and the payment was made. I received a delivery notice from the delivery partner, Spirit Delivery Service for the day indicated on the order. I took the day off to be home to receive the delivery. After the delivery time passed I contacted Spirit only to be told that the delivery was scheduled for the next day. I contacted the store and was told the same thing, that the order was never scheduled for the day which they confirmed and sent notice for. DO NOT ORDER APPLIANCES FROM THIS STORE! Whoever is in charge of logistics and customer service should no longer be employed. As a veteran and a long time customer of Lowes everywhere I've traveled it's unfortunate to have to post this review. Multiple delivery no-shows, random rescheduling, changing my order to delivery complete and absolutely no way of reaching a human on the phone. The sales for kitchen suites are great but buyer beware delivery and installation will take the sweetness out of the deal. read more
