I swear I'd never step foot into a Lowe's again, but I was up in Carmel and I thought hey maybe it's just a keystone store that sucks. Boy was I ever wrong first of all you can walk around that store all day and not be asked if you need something unless it's some small girl trying to push a Gutter system on you. They were two old guys in the tool section. They would go out of their way not to make eye contact with you and if you tried to flag them down, they would deliberately turn away and walk. I finally get everything I need and I go to ring it up in the garden center I asked for eight bags of black mulch. The lady behind the counter, Kate, who is very nice informed me that they were all out of the inexpensive one. I asked what the price difference was, and she didn't know. She told me she was subbing in there while someone took a break so even though there was a line, she finally went to another counter. Got a sheet with some UPC's on it and figure it out. It was a dollar more. So I went ahead and bought it. I drove to the side of the store to pick it up and I told the guy I have eight bags of black mulch and he asked me which kind I want and I said they told me upfront that they only had one kind. He said no that's weird. We have both kinds. So I tell him I want the less expensive one and I have to go back up to the counter to get a refund. I get back to the counter and Kate tells me that I have to go inside and go to the customer service counter to get a refund because she can't do that. I say to call the manager she calls a manager and then tells me that I can't have the black mulch that I want they're not allowed to sell it, so I asked to speak to the manager. A fairly heavyset tall redhead comes out and explains to me that she will give me a refund and I say I don't really need a refund. I just need a credit for the eight dollar difference and she says she can't sell me that mulch. I tell her it's already loaded in my car and she replies that that's not her problem. Her bosses policy and her corporate policy is they can't sell that mulch. The attitude here is you have to do what we want you to do and screw you so long and the short of it is I got the most I wanted I paid for the mulch I didn't want which was more expensive and the employees and management at Lowe's could not care less. I wish I could give them zero stars instead of one. The only thing that amazes me is that the rating is as high as it is I'm guessing they have their employees fill out the yelp reviews.

Surprisingly nice selection of perineals! And they are all surviving... thank you! We will be returning!

We recently completed a whole house remodel and purchased Lowes flooring, cabinets, quartz countertops and appliances. Aspects of the project went smoothly, but I want other potential buyers (and Lowes) to be aware of some major snags. 1] They wouldn't even try to take our money by check (a manager could have verified funds with a local bank but chose not to), and because we had a new Lowes credit card they limited our ability to purchase for a month until the first bill was paid. Plan accordingly. 2] We paid for appliance installation and with EVERY single delivery of a new item we were told "oh no, I don't install." If you are not confident about wiring a stove or putting a bracket in for a wall mount microwave, or buying the parts to hook up your ice maker that didn't come with the delivery--do not pay for installation--find a contractor with good reviews. 3] Lastly, the counter installation company is paid by a middle man called "Installation Made Easy" and they too, failed to complete or communicate attaching the dishwasher to the counter--so the whole thing flew out at us when we tried to use it. No credit, no accountability and their reviews across the board are scathing. Lowes would be wise to reconsider their relationship with them.

The only plastic they had was one piece for a carpet so we tried to cover the front of cabinets not the granite or sinks

Customer service was HORRIBLE! Never again. Install was HORRIBLE- Lowe's had to call a private flooring co. To correct what their"ultimate Home Service"did. HORRIBLE- NEVER AGAIN!

Today's experience gets a zero in my book. The woman at the CUSTOMER SERVICE desk right now is VERY rude! Don't wear a vest that says ask me anything and then 1) ignore them when they say excuse me and try to ask a question, 2) look at them with an attitude (she liked at me like she was disgusted) when the customer repeats their self and 3) not know the answer to the very simple question! Quit your job if you hate it!

Had some really great trips to this Lowe's location this weekend. Staff in lumber helped direct me to the right products for my project, and when the time came to pick up the lumber, an associate quickly and carefully cut down the pieces for me--for free! (2 cuts/board) Made transport home ready, and saved me a ton of time. Took advantage of their spring mulch deal while I was there to get a jump on the next project. Pickup around the side of the building made loading easy. Thanks so much; see you again soon!

Lowes is a wonderful hardware store that has excellent attentive customer service staff. They are experts and can help you with anything and everything that you need for your home. I came here to pick up some supplies for my move, and was able to access everything I needed in a matter of time. The staff were wonderful and very helpful in making sure I had everything I needed before I left the store. I would keep coming back to Lowe's for my hardware needs, because the selection is great and I know I will get great service from the staff. It is my #1 hardware store.

Well, that was easy. Bought lots of sh!t. Literally 10 cubit feet of cow manure. Glad that it was easy to pick up (unlike nearby Menards). Walked in to garden center, got checked out within 2 minutes, and had everything loaded in the car for me. What I am doing next? Probably buying lots of air fresheners.

Me on hold for almost 20 minutes.

Many shelves were empty as I assume they are preparing for spring inventory. Many items were on clearance including Yetis so there are some great deals. In the entry alcove is a fascinating history of the hardware store's evolution. The history dates back to at least 1889 when the store was located at 110 West Main Street in Carmel. The store has been owned by four families start with O. W. Nutt prior to 1889. Steve White bought the store in 1984 and built the current location on Rangeline Road in 1989. You can only enter or exit going north in Rangeline, but the roundabouts make going in the right direction easy.

While they do offer plenty of bargains on general merchandise storewide, the seasonal items can be a bit pricey in comparison. I tend to wait until after the holidays when those things go on sale and save them for the following year. Inventory said they had some in stock but they were not the scents I was looking for and when I did finally find some they were all combined in a box upstairs from last year with the old leftovers mixing pine with pumpkin spice so I will wait until they get some fresh ones. They were still full price but definitely from last season. Menards is a bit of a hassle with the rebate form that I always end up forgetting to fill out. I recently did so, expecting to save time and gain convenience, but was sorely disappointed. I placed an order online for a 5-gallon, food-grade pail, lid and lid opener. The instructions that accompanied my order confirmation were to enter the store and follow the signs for in-store pick-up. I did so, and was led from the front door, straight-through to the back of the store, and then to the furthest corner of the store from where I had entered. Surely, I had passed all of the items ordered during this trek. The store is massive, and if you are not familiar with the layout, online ordering would seem like a good, time-saving option, but that turned out to not be the case. Not to mention (as I mention), the "convenience fee" that I was charged to do so. This might be a good option for larger orders, but for the 3 item order that I placed, I would not suggest this.

That was a bit over a year ago, and I haven't had even the slightest "buyers remorse". Sure, it was a lot more than one of the other brands at a big box store, but wow does it do a great job. The heat is so even, and all of the controls just feel sturdy. On top of that most of the internals are made from stainless steel and should last a LONG time. Ace is a great asset to western Noblesville. As this town has grown, we've gotten all of the big box stores, but with those comes traffic and customer service that is mediocre at best. It's definitely nice to have a locally owned store where I can go pick up the things I need without having to drive across town.
