Twice in last 2 weeks there were issues. Placed order online rec'd email that was ready. Went to pickup hadn't even pulled order. Drove 35 miles back home and called customer service and lady said that normal people don't place orders online. Was very rude. Placed 2nd order online, rec'd email 2 days later saying there was systematic error and order not completed. I have had reason to go there a few times here lately, and I am very disappointed at how they treat me when I am there as a single woman. The representatives I've asked to help me have looked at me like I had no idea what I was talking about and have also talked to me as if they were annoyed by my questions - like they were dumb questions. And maybe they were! I don't know. But no customer should be treated as if they are an idiot, even a woman by herself in a hardware store. Do not go to Lowes for appliances. It has been 7 weeks since I've gone there to get a new cooktop, oven and microwave and I'm still waiting. They promised me my items would be coming in but still nothing. They do not follow up and are impossible to get in contact with. They told the installer my items were in and was going to have it installed last Friday. The poor guy got there only to find the cooktop was not in yet. Wasted his time and now 7 weeks of my life. I had over 1000 ft.² of carpet installed by Lowe's. The seams were not done correctly and I had a large seam appear across my entire master bedroom eight months after the installation. The installation was under warranty for a year. After six months of trying to get assistance and at least four visits to my house by different inspectors, Lowes now says there's nothing they can do despite the fact that we have areas that are missing padding, padding is bunched up in doorways, and a large seam is visible in the master bedroom and all hall doorways, Would recommend strongly against using Lowe's flooring installation. read more

They used to be great. Since COVID-19, terrible experience. Two separate occasions within a one month period. One product delivered with dents and late. The other not delivered at all with no information provided. A large company like this has enough intelligent brass and employees to develop a smooth delivery process, but they drastically failed. This specific Lowe's (Carmel Indiana) has the poorest customer service I've seen from any reputable business. If you can get something on your own, go for it but if you would need to solicit information or delivery stay far away. The delivery manager is non-existent. No department will answer their phones. I am now forced to go into the store to first complain, then second get the stuff that's been "ready for delivery" for over a week. read more

Went to my local Lowe's to see about getting new flooring for my kitchen. Picked out a floor I liked and was given an estimate. Two days later, a guy came out to measure the room and give me a final estimate, which I was told to take to Lowe's to set everything up. Paid for everything and was told they had to order the bull nose for the steps, which would take less than 5 days (something I should have been told on my first visit). Six days later, I hadn't heard from them so I called and was told it wouldn't arrive at their store for a couple of more days. Once it arrives, I have to wait 2 more days for the contractor to contact me to schedule an appointment to drop off the materials. Then I have to be put on their installation schedule. Mind you, I paid in full for the job a week ago. Lowe's refuses to do anything to expedite matters. I'll be lucky if I get the new floor by February. Too much hassle, not enough hustle. I made an online delivery order for a fridge from this store on the 21st of June for the 23rd of June. My order was delayed the next day to the 27th of June. On the 25th I recieved a call saying the stock of the fridge was really backed up. I called on the 26th trying to figure out when i could get this fridge. One of the employees said on the phone helped me out and said they could deliver it on July 1st. On June 30th I recieved another call saying that they dont have it in stock but theu do have it in stock at Dale City Lowe's for pickup. I told them I dont want pick up I want it delivered. They said just call them to do that. I asked why do I have to do it can't you this has been delayed twice now and I don't understand why I have to do it. They then hung up on me. Terrible customer service. They kept dragging me along and I never recieved my fridge. Do not order anything delivery from Lowes the same issue exist at the Dale City location and the corporate customer service was unable to help me as well. When I called the Dale City Location they told they did not have any of the fridges in stock. I then called the corporate customer service number and the rep was very helpful and was able to get me a fridge from Dale City to be delivered on the 4th of July. On the 3rd of July I received a call from the delivery company and found at the service rep put down the incorrect address and forgot to mention my order was a haul away order as well. I managed to change the address with the delivery company then called the store which was an hour long phone conversation which I was on hold for 50 minutes of that time. They were finally able to change the address but they had to push back the delivery to the 5th of July. On the 4th i received an email saying my fridge was delivered. It was not. I tried calling the store and was on hold for 30 minutes and my call was dropped without talking to anyone. I then called the corporate customer service and they were able to look at everything and talk to the delivery company. When they changed my address they did it manually and so they email just went out as regular but delivery was still good for the 5th. Then later on the 4th I received another call from Lowes saying my fridge was damaged and they could not deliver it and it will be heavily delayed. I said fine keep that. I then went to talk to the corporate support line and immediately asked to speak to a supervisor. I explained my order has now been delayed multiple times, I still don't have a fridge, I keep on getting led on, I want a fridge this week. He said that i should talk to the local store I said no. Im done talking to the local stores and going on these goose chases. Can you get me a fridge? He said there is one in Massachusetts. I said im in Virginia. Can you get me a fridge? He said he could not so I said I wanted my money back and he said it would take 3-7 business days. At least that will be quicker than their fridge deliveries. This was one of the most frustrating business experiences I have ever gone through. The lack of communication, inability to help me, and the inability of corporate to make things happen between stores was shocking. I strongly recommend you take your business elsewhere because this company truly does not care. read more

Lowe's Store Review#0720 Timonium, MD I ordered flooring last week and received an email for pick-up last night with the wrong name on the order. I called today and waited for 25 minutes with no resolution, and I had to call again and finally talk to Paul and explain the issue. He said the only way to correct the order is to go back to the store and reorder the flooring. While Paul and Ben were so professional and kind trying to fix the issue. The lady Name Erica, who impose herself as a store manager instead of Larry Coldiron (who walked by and whispered with Erica without acknowledging the issue when I was asking to see the store manager), jumped in the middle of my conversation with a loud voice that scared my 8 years old daughter and insists we can't fix the issue and you have to call the headquarter. I asked them to cancel the order and replace it with the correct name. She said they can't do that, as Paul could do it and reorder the flooring supplies. So sad to see such an unprofessional person in a great store like Lowes. Paul fixed the issue in the store and placed the order. Erica made sure we have to wait for the supply to get in the store when it was already available for pickup, as she still insists that she is the store manager. If so, Lowes needs to reconsider their management in this store. We were insulted, and my kid was traumatized with horrible yelling and screening from this woman. read more

I ordered moving boxes and only received email stating they were preparing my order. The expected delivery date was 11 days after order date so I tried to cancel. Their customer service says it's shipped but I haven't received any email. I contacted Fed Ex with the package number provided and Fed Ex says only a label was created. My wife and I just relocated to Fishers Indiana from Chicago area. We bought a higher end washer and dryer from the Lowes Carmel store. They stated we would have installation by the 18th and now we will not get till the 28th. We ordered on the 12th, and almost no communication. Terrible experience at this Lowe's location. My husband and I went in needing assistance with an entire home project. We are doing a remodel of our rental property in order to sell it. We are replacing counter tops, lighting fixtures, hardware, toilets, and today really wanted to choose Flooring. Not having any home remodel experience we were overwhelmed and hoping for a knowledgeable sales staff to guide and recommend. The staff here could not have been less helpful. Absolutely zero interest in educating us on options. We even already had someone come out to measure. I was just really hoping to have someone make an effort to actually sell us something. No luck. No less than 5 men that work there were standing around the Flooring hub just having a great time while we kept asking for help. So frustrating and I ended up calling Empire while I stood there waiting for assistance. I guess it's good I realized how badly they suck before I got in too deep on our project. Even after walking around to the other parts of the store it was as if the staff couldn't be bothered to commit to helping. I left angry and will avoid this store in the future. read more

I shop at Lowes often. Since we are dealing with Covid-19, I have been especially disappointed with Lowes and how they are dealing with this. Right now we should be wearing face coverings to protect others. I have been in Lowes many times recently to purchase supplies for projects I am working on. I find that most customers are not wearing face masks and many of the employees are not either. I have been to Menards where the are requiring customers to wear a facemask that they bring with them, or buy one for $1.00. I applauded this approach. They are taking a stand to stop transmission of the virus in their stores where it seems that Lowes doesn't care. For now if I have a choice, I will shop at Menards based on their response to the Pandemic and how to improve public health. read more

I have been, but now very much unlikely make any appliances purchases from this store again. The short and not so sweet is I purchased a GE refrigerator and Lowe's was to deliver it. As of now, I have waited/wasted two weekend days for them to show up despite being given delivery time windows. The first day no call no delivery. Now a week later and after being told it would be deliver in the AM, 12 hours later no refrigerator. Multiple phone calls to the manager and being assured it is being delivered there has not been a call. Plain and simple. Service from this store is unacceptable, and the lack of anyone being accountable to provide an agreed upon delivery demonstrates they have no respect for me. We are in the middle of a global pandemic due to COVID-19, but Lowes has the 5 gallon primo water exchange (which is essential for our well being as a family). We put masks and gloves on to go into the store to make the exchange because that's what we are being asked to do. Upon entering the store, we notice that, not only is it business as usual, but people are standing within 3 feet of one another in the customer service line as well as check out lines. Plus, there is no curbside pick up like other stores, forcing us to enter a congested area like the check out area. Seems that Lowes cares more about making money than keeping people safe. We have loved this store for years, but it's time they do better. read more

I ordered a fridge from Lowes. It was to be delivered by Lowes using a company called Retail Direct. They gave me a four-hour time window, so I got everything ready and waited. When the delivery truck arrived, I greeted one of the men, invited him in and showed him where the fridge was to be placed. He proceeded to walk out the front door, get in the truck and drive away. I don't understand it, the meeting was cordial and there weren't any issues. A few minutes later, when the Retail Direct dispatch contacted the delivery team, they lied and said I wasn't home. Honestly, the whole experience was kind of creepy. All Lowes did was reschedule the delivery. I usually shop at Home Depot and have always had great service. Lowe's has the worst customer service and I would have to agree with other people who've had bad experiences with them. I ordered a garage storage unit in July and knew it would be delayed till October but I was willing to wait since I got it on sale. However, I received an email that my order was cancelled so I called customer service. They told me that they sent out an email on July 8th that the order was delayed and I had to respond to accept the delay but it was an email I've never received. I checked my inbox, deleted, and spam box and no emails. They wouldn't even let me repurchase it again at the price I had paid which was over $100 savings. They did offer a 5% discount which was ridiculous. I rather take my business elsewhere. I can see why Home Depot outperforms Lowe's at every level. I love Lowes. However, I will not use their installed services any longer. I had a bare kitchen and contracted them for cabinets, counters, and flooring. We started the project in June 2015 and it's still not 100% complete. The managers were good at fixing items at first but now they have slacked off because every contractor has messed up. Cabinets had to be done 2 times. Counters also had to be done twice. Floor just sucks but they tried polishing it up. I learned Lowes does not have "hold backs" which is the customer holding half the money up front. Since you pay everything you don't have leverage if they don't finish. I then tried to purchase the tables and the Lowe's site kept closing out on me. Fast forward to today 10/03/2021. I looked back on the Lowe's website again to purchase the tables and the tables were full price. I spoke to a manager in the call center name Dana who's ID# is 1675432 . I asked Dana if she could honor yesterdays price of the tables because the system was acting up on me. Dana was extremely rude and told me no she would not give me the price of yesterday's sale even though it wasn't my fault that the system was not working. I spend a lot of money at Lowe's and my husband even has a Lowe's credit card. I will no longer be shopping at Lowe's and my husband will close his Lowe's card today. Lowe's does not appreciate my business and I can't support a place that had rude management and not willing to help that customer. The manager Dana could've offered me anything put yet she was rude and nasty and now it's costing Lowe's my business as well as all my family members. I would not recommend Lowes services to anyone. My husband & I contracted Lowes in September of 2017 to complete a roof and gutter replacement. The job is still not completed as of November 2018 - over one year later. We will NEVER contract with Lowes again. It has been, and continues to be, by far the worst customer service either of us have ever received. The initial installation did not pass inspection and Lowes did not proactively address the situation. We have had to drive towards resolution with Lowes dragging their feet. In at least one occasion over the past year, we have threatened legal action before receiving a definitive response. I believe this is not an issue of one bad customer representative, but rather a systemic issue with the way Lowes as a corporation fails to empower representatives, coordinate with installers, and respect customers. I ordered and scheduled a flooring install through Lowe's May 26, 2021. My flooring was delivered 2 weeks prior to my install on June 28, 2021. I was on the install schedule for a Monday-Friday, July 12-16, 2021, and on Wednesday the 14th they were going to be able to finish, however the installers found that some of the product they needed to do the stairs was not at my house. Lowe's did not answer their phones, so I drove to the store where I was told "Oh, I found that in the back earlier today." No one had called me stating that they found my product in the back room, 2 weeks after it was supposed to have been delivered. I took the product home with me and requested that they inform the install company that I had the product on site so they could come back and finish. This was not done. I called Lowe's the next day and was told that they were unable to get ahold of the install company, and have no control over the installers schedule. I called again 2 days later and was informed that they would put in a work order. I was never contacted to get back on the schedule. A week later I called again, and was given $450 of the over $10k I spent on this project, and was still not given any more install information. Now, 2 days after that I received an email from Lowe's stating that my project is completed. My stairs are still bare with no flooring. I have two small children who are running around on unfinished flooring with nails in it, and Lowe's has been less than helpful. I will not be using Lowe's for any further home improvement projects or supplies, and I will be telling everyone I know to avoid Lowe's as well. read more

Went to Lowe's to get new countertops. Got scheduled for there installer to call within three days to the schedule the measurement. After three days no one had called. I called Lowe's and the were to call the installer and would contact me the next day. Did not get a call. Called Lowe's again and there were to call me back that day. Did not get a call so I went to Lowe's the next day and was told the installer had the wrong number. Seems there an easy quick resolution to that. Finally get the measurement made several days later. Order the countertop and pay for it, including the installation. The next call was supposed to be from the installer... The Marble Shop. After not hearing anything I called Lowe's and began a series of several calls just to get an answer. Basically every time I was told I would get a call back I never did. After a series of calls with Lowe's and the installer each blaming each other I had confidence the material was actually ordered. I got a call form the Marble Shop with an installation date, I doubled checked the date since I had to take a days vacation. About mid- morning if that date I called to see if they knew the time and was informed it was scheduled for the next day and I was mistaken about the date, this nightmare continues. Installer come the next day and all is good until the end, no clips put on the sink only secured by the silicone and a weight to hold it down.
