Omg! I received a $41.00 LED RGB Bethlehem star tree top for Christmas. It was broken when I took it out of the box. I brought it back on December 30. It was purchased December 11. They refuse to give me my money back because they said they do not return any Christmas items after Christmas. I brought up the Lowe's return policy showing them. There was nothing that indicated Christmas gifts are exempt from returns. The smug manager pointed to assign on the wall that said it's listed here! They refused to give me a credit they refuse to even discuss it. This is the worst customer service I have ever received from any place. I called their customer support and they weren't able to help me either. I will never go to lowes again or any of my family members. If it's written in their policy, they need to honor the return for a broken item, not on a sign on the wall that no one reads. read more

I bought a microwave hood combination on Thanksgiving week on sale. Didn't get a chance to try and install until this weekend. Microwave is too large and does not fit. Took it back to Lowe's to find out their return policy, if you don't use the Lowe's credit card, is 48 hours for major appliances. First I heard of the return policy. Wished Lowe's had made me aware of the policy before today. In any event, if you buy from Lowe's make sure to check the return policy on their website before buying. Needed to pick up a few items. Oil for a Chainsaw and some day lily plants. I'm in the baseball mood. "The" American Sport. Hit singles: + wide parking spaces + wide aisles + they had what I needed Double play! OUT!): Found the general area of the chainsaw oil. Aisle blocked off for restocking. No Lowe's workers around a good 10 mins. There was a customer waiting for assistance nearby at the gas grills. We looked at each other and gave the I'm not waiting any longer look. He left. I took down the barrier and snatched my oil. Double over the right fielders head: Next on the list- Day lily plants. Found them with ease. Plants were in great condition. The cashier at the Garden section was nice. She even chased me down because I left a plant on the counter. Lowe's scores 2.5 stars rounded up to 3. A win...but not by much. read more

Not sure why this place has such low reviews. I've come here a few times, mostly with my parents because they live nearby, and usually when I need something home-related. This time I needed a very specific lightbulb for my kitchen light fixture and one of the employees spent about 10 minutes with us trying to find the correct bulb. I used the restroom while here as well and it was clean. Unrelated, they're trying to be like Home Depot and offer hot dogs for sale, but for some reason they offer them near the exit rather than near the entrance. No issues with this Lowe's from me, so disregard the bad reviews and shop here. read more

It's fantastic that the tops of my premium fence, which I paid ~$7,000 for, get blown off with little wind... I complained to the central office about store #1814 and exterior project lead, Dan Doggett's inability to respond to my post-install issues, to no avail. I encourage you all to avoid any kind of exterior service from the Commerce Lowe's store, unless you want a shoddy job done, for you dollar, without recourse!!... Hardware, lumber, appliances, plants, decorations, tools, etc. To counter the number of negative reviews, it's worth noting that your average visit to grab a few screws or a new plant won't prompt any frustrations. I wouldn't expect a retail employee to be able to magically know the tool you need for your specific project. As for the ones who do, I appreciate your effort and support. read more

First let me say that Lowe's has always been my go to place for home improvements. Last year we had a whole home generator installed with no issues whatsoever. We have had a completely different experience this year. Wanted to have our front door replaced and went in to the store and got an appointment set up for Dan from installations to come to the house. Dan came out on time and we picked out a roughly $5000 new front door. Next step was to have the contractor come measure. Again, everything happened on time. However, since the measurements were taken, Dan has disappeared. He won't return calls or texts at this point. I called the store to speak to someone and the person who answered the phone laughed at me when I asked if I could speak to a manager about my issue. At this point I think this is the last project I ever do with this store. read more

First, let me say that I'm grateful that this store exists just because of the fact that we need the inventory locally but oh my gosh. Every single employee besides 3 at this location hate their job. 10,000 steps, 1 hour and 4 people later pointing in the direction of the one object I was looking for is absolutely ridiculous. The customer service at Lowes should require employees to walk with a customer at least somewhere near the general vicinity of the object they are looking for. Not run a mile the other way while they fend for themselves now stranded alone with no one in sight 10-12 aisles away. No one could help until I found someone willing. It's a Lowe's. So keep your expectations Lowe's (Low). As for the other Lowe's I've visited this one is pretty decent. We just purchased some appliances, they are set to be delivered so I'll keep my criticisms to a minimum till they arrive. I'm a genius with tools, and very humble as you can tell, so I typically don't want/need help or information at such a place. I did want to purchase a washer, dryer, and fridge. In order to do that someone has to be in appliances to facilitate that. There wasn't anyone around. This was on the last day of the memorial day sale mind you, during normal business hours. So I mosied on over to customer service and had them draw up the invoice. They were a great help. If they properly staff departments, they could improve. What corporation wants to do that though?! I've been a loyal customer...Large Appliances (Several), mower, snow blower, flooring...... virtually all hardware purchases the past 5 + years. I'm doing new floors. 900 - 1500 sq. ft. that would add up to $4000 - $8000. I picked out the carpet and hardwood and they scheduled a measurement. The person who came to do the measurement must have been having a bad day and argued with me about what was being measured. OK, fine if you don't have time to measure 2 floors when you thought you were doing 1. At least do the 1. It was $35 worth of work and she walked out without doing any measurements. Now Lowe's says they can't sell me carpet or hardwood because of this independent contractor they use. This multi billion $ corporation is walking away from my business because they can't get a $35 measurement done because a surly sub contractor was having a bad day. I think their name is Apex. Outrageously poor customer service, not to mention fiscally irresponsible. If I were a stock holder, I'd rethink my investment that they so readily turn away business from a loyal customer. I esclated to the store manager she says she can't do anything about. A happy customer will tell 2 and an unhappy will tell 14 studies show. I'd give zer stars if I could, but I'll pass the word instead. read more

I could NOT speak out about the experience we had with Lowe's regarding the purchase, scheduling and installation of carpet. The Carpet Department at this location has to be one of thee most unprofessional departments we've ever had to deal with. They drop the ball in communication between department personnel and management, communication between department and installation personnel that's an outside source, follow ups from department to customer, blaming each other regarding who's responsible for the problem, lack of leadership and accountability for finding a clear cut solution to fixing the problem and not showing care nor concern about the inconvenience that has been placed upon us on do to their mistakes made in the process from the start. Moving all the furniture the first time(a week ago) to moving it back then moving again last night and this morning to be ready for today. Was told by installers it would be done by 4pm But that has been pushed back to 6/6:30 pm because miscommunication on where the carpet was supposed to be picked up priori they coming to our home. This whole process started 8wks ago with full payment done 7/11/18 and it's been a NIGHTMARE of a process. We will not recommend nor will we return to have our basement done like we previously had planned on doing. The installers were GREAT can't blame them for anything. Folks should think twice, three maybe four times before choosing carpet from Lowe's, trust me!!! The kicker in all this is that once the installation started we realized they were installing the wrong carpet. I can't make this stuff up!!! NEVER AGAIN!!! We have yet to hear how they are going to make this situation better. TERRIBLE!!! read more

You can return just about anything without a receipt and if you used your credit card they can refund right back to your card. On day three of trying to get an undamaged refrigerator delivered. I was told it was store policy to deliver damaged but working appliances with the understanding that the store would offer a discount. Even after I told them that the side damage would show, and after they ensured me they inspected the next delivery the refrigerator still showed up damaged. This is after the delivery person told the store that we had the same issue the previous delivery so it shouldn't be delivered. An additional bonus was the rude appliance department calls on Monday though they later played nice. I guess once the sale is made you don't matter. Also having to work with the delivery company on Tuesday only to find that they didn't put the refrigerator on the truck was extra special. So far I've been lucky enough this week to have someone else hang around the house for delivery but that will no longer be an option next week. I'm in the store now and they asked if a different refrigerator in stock would work. I found the cheapest with the same specs. They physically verified it was in stock, said they would ensure it was delivered tomorrow and then when everything seemed fine asked for more money. Really? 15+ phone calls, having to come to the store twice to deal with the issue. Having someone hang out at my house waiting. Etc, etc... So disappointed. ----- After hearing the full story on Thursday the store manager made things right. They sent a different brand refrigerator as they couldn't find one that wasn't damaged. The new one does have a dent on the right hand side but it'll be hidden so it's fine. read more

His patience in these trying times is greatly appreciated. He is one of the reasons I go out of my way to shop at this location. This is going to be one of the worst reviews I have ever left in my life. Do not and I repeat do not ever use Lowe's for their installation services. I have never been treated so poorly before. The lack of communication is a huge factor and you will wait all day only to find out that they won't be there to do a job that money has been collected for. Neither the store or the contractors call and you will be forced to return to the store for a refund with no apology or acknowledgement of the situation. I am sure Lowe's doesn't care that I am leaving a terrible review but this may save someone else from going through what I did. This place sucks. I went here for a simple dryer part. Walked into plumbing and someone took me to appliances. I told the appliance guy what I needed and he insisted on selling me a $30 kit which had me spending $29 more than I needed to. I kept asking specific questions and he just said this kit would do what I needed it to. I was in a serious time pinch and just bought the kit. After the job we were on I took the same part I brought with me to Home Depot on Haggerty and they found me the exact part I needed. $1.39. This time I started in Appliances and they called Plumbing. Exact opposite. Exact right thing to do. Hey Dude working in the Appliance Dept around 4pm Sept. 7. Try actually helping people. You could have called Plumbing and asked someone to help me. Nah. You couldn't be bothered. No wonder your store gets consistently Lowe ratings(get it?). Name fits perfectly! I will never set foot in another Lowes again. Enjoy your $30. read more

Unbelievably rude cashier, head cashier, and store manager, Jeff. They act like a gang. I picked two items, one being a wrong price because it was placed with a whole bunch of the same items, and I was okay with that, but the other item had a sale tag on the shelf, but still rang at full price. I was asked to go check the price on one item and they sent an employee to check the price ok the other item. While I verified one item, the employee never went all the way to check the other item, so I went to verify it by myself, and I took a picture of the tag so they can verify my price. I felt as if I were being accused of playing with the prices. After the cashier was being rude, the head cashier was being rude as well, a store manager by the name of Jeff came and apparently was already fed by the head cashier about what was happening, he was even being more rude, and hardly payed attention to whatever I say, so when I asked him if we could talk on the side, away from the cashiers. With his arms on his waist, he said, here is fine. As I proceeded with the story of what happened, he would say, Yeah, I heard that already. He was as rude as hell to a customer that just spent three $3,000+ recently on a riding lawnmower, over $3,000 on blinds, and over $11,500 on building materials while remodeling my home to have a dispute over five dollars. I am sorry for skipping two Home Depot's to get to such a low-class Lowe's. I will be contacting Headquarters about this with my video. read more

Bait & Switch Ordered granite countertop at Lowe's. I took the measurements of the existing countertop to the store, the salesman (Gordon) gave me a quote, we agreed to it and had to pay for the entire project right there in the store. We then had to drive 30 miles to pick up the slab ( lost a morning) and had to be home for supplier to take final measurements (another half a day). A couple days later the sales guy from Lowe's calls to inform us that our measurements were "wrong" and it would be another $250. I am a mechanical engineer, with 20+ years of field experience. My measurements are seldom wrong. I re-took every measurement and photographed it this time. Went to Lowe's and asked manager (Michael) to show me exactly which measurement was wrong.. After 20 min waiting for him while he was discussing this with somebody on the phone, he came back and told me that all of my measurements were exact, but that Lowe's "miscalculated" the amount of material required and had to "adjust" the quote. I told him that since they made me pay for it even before installation, this was not a "quote" but a contract, and since I did not change anything and this was their admitted mistake, they were responsible for it. In the end, I just canceled the entire project and got the refund. Most likely, contractually I could force them to honor the price I already paid for the work that didn't change, but at this point, I have zero trust in them and am sure that they would try and find a way to screw me over. This is a classic bait and switch. Do not fall for it. Shop elsewhere.They are dishonest. read more

Nobody who values professionalism, quality products, and great customer experience should never do any home improvement project with Lowe's in Commerce Township, Michigan. My husband went to the store for information on home improvement in December 2017. Jeanette McFarland provided him with information on home improvement and emphasized to him how the company pays her. She told him that she needed to meet the quota for the year and she needed to have few home improvement contracts to meet the quota. My husband got home and refused to go to other home improvement business because he had this grand idea that he needed to help "Jeanette meet the quota." We went into home improvement contract agreement with Lowe's in Commencer township in January 2018. This was the biggest mistake of my life. Jeanette walked my husband and I to the cash register and requested full payment up front. We made the full payment on a credit card. According to the contract, the small master bathroom and the children's bathroom project was to be completed by February 2018. Today is May 31, 2019 and both have not been completed. The air vent in the children's bathroom was paid for and never install. Some additional payments Jeanette and John Hofmeister asked us to make upfront for the design we asked for the children's bathroom, which was the previous design that was there, was never done even though we paid for it. We requested money back and it was never given to us since 2018. This past Memorial Day weekend, I went and bought the toilet paper holder and towel holder that were removed by Lowe's people in my children's bathroom and installed them. We had to buy a shower curtain at Target for our master's bathroom shower instead of the custom-made glass door that we paid for. I started emailing Lowe's "Customer Care" in August 2018 to report all the lack of professionalism and delay in the house project. I sent pictures and videos. Megan, a staff came to our house, took notes, and listened to my complaints, and nothing was done. It got even worse. We started using the master's bathroom shower not even 5 months ago and the bench installed already fell apart. The tiles and tiles work are of poor quality and durability. Chloe Scurlark is the supervisor assigned and she seldom calls to update us. On multiple occasions what we selected in store and paid for were not brought to our home. Instead cheap and low-quality products were delivered. Steve Ware was the contractor in-charge of the house project. He would come in and out on behalf of Lowe's. Multiple times, while we are in the house, Steve would start talking in a demeaning and unprofessional ways about other customers. These are the people who contracted jobs to his company and paid his company. I called Lowes' customer service and mentioned this unprofessionalism instead I was perceived as an unprofessional person. These are some of the bad business behaviors and unprofessionalism my family and I have been enduring for over a year now for a home project that was paid for in full. DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH LOWES' IN COMMERCE TOWNSHIP IF YOU WANT PEACE OF MIND! read more
