Came into Lowe's on a slow Friday evening (May 15th around 6:30 PM) needing 18 pieces of 1-in x 4-in x 8-ft Spruce Pine Fir furring strips cut for a bed slat project. I even brought one of the original slats from home as a reference to make the measurements simple and quick. After sorting through multiple moldy and poor-quality boards to find usable pieces, I loaded everything onto my cart and went looking for assistance because there were no employees around in the lumber yard. As I walked toward the front, I noticed two young associates standing around smoking, joking, and on their phones. I asked one associate, Nick, if he could help cut the wood. Before I could even explain the cuts or the project, he immediately responded with, "I can only cut 5 pieces," followed by an awkward explanation about how I could just buy a saw from the store because "it's easy." There was zero effort to understand what I needed, no customer service, and no willingness to help. He seemed far more interested in getting back to his phone than assisting a paying customer. I explained that I had the sample slat with me to make the measurements easy, but he continued repeating the "5 pieces only" statement. When I asked if that was actually store policy, he simply said "yeah." At that point, I thanked him for his "help" and left without causing a scene in front of my pregnant wife and 1-year-old daughter. As a disabled veteran, I don't expect special treatment, but I do expect basic customer service and professionalism. I called Home Depot on Power Rd and Germann Rd and asked if they had a cutting limit. The associate immediately said no, asked about my project, what kind of wood I needed, and told me to come in because they would take care of me. That's exactly what they did. The Home Depot associates went above and beyond. They helped me choose better wood options, explained cost differences, recommended a more efficient solution instead of individual slats, cut every piece I needed, and even helped me pick the correct screws for the project. I left there feeling valued as a customer. Unfortunately, Lowe's lost my business that night. Lowe's used to be my go-to store for plants, cleaning supplies, and lumber, but after this experience, I now know which company actually values customer service. If "I don't know, I just work here" was a person, Nick would be the face of it. Do better, Lowe's.

    My receipt from Lowe's.

Dear Lowe's Management Team, I am writing to formally express my deep disappointment regarding a recent purchase and the subsequent failure of your delivery and installation service. As a loyal, long-term Lowe's customer, I have always held your store in high regard; however, my recent experience has been entirely unacceptable. On December 19, I purchased a microwave along with professional installation services scheduled for December 29. On the day of the appointment, the third-party installer contacted me to state they could not fulfill the request because the microwave was missing from their inventory. When I visited the store seeking a resolution, I was told that no assistance could be provided until a manager returned from a break. Following a subsequent call to your corporate office, I was assured that a manager would contact me the next day to resolve the matter. It has now been three days since that promise was made. I have received no follow-up, no solution, and I remain without a functioning appliance. The lack of communication and the breakdown in your supply chain management are frustrating, but the lack of accountability from the store leadership is what I find most disheartening. I chose Lowe's because of a perceived commitment to customer service--a commitment that has been absent throughout this ordeal. I am requesting an immediate update on the status of my order and a definitive timeline for delivery and installation. I trust that, given my history with the company, you will prioritize resolving this matter and restoring my confidence in your brand. I look forward to your prompt response

Door I ordered that they installed at my friends house a few years ago.

Lowe's will steal your money. They literally will take your money and not give you what they sold you. Back in October 2025 I paid nearly $5,000 to have my back door replaced. It still has not been done. They give me excuse after excuse on why the door has not yet arrived for install. I've been scheduled twice for a I've been scheduled twice for an actual install, and the installer goes to the store and tells me the door was the wrong one or the door wasnt there at all. They tell me they will call with an update and do not call. The store manager, Carla assured me she would check on this and follow up on Friday, she didn't call. I called today (Saturday), was told she was there and they attempted to transfer, she didn't answer, A regular store member got back on the phone and told me after the fact that she was unavailable, I left a message with them, still no call. The assistant manager, Alex, told me Lowe's has zero responsibility regarding the install/door they sold me beyond collecting my money! This is unbelievable and absolutely the worst customer service I've ever heard of from any kind of sale or service. I go into the store to talk to them and they throw up their hands and tell me there's nothing they can do because even though I paid in full to Lowe's, they are not responsible for the door delay, nor are they responsible for installation nor are they responsible for making sure that the door arrives from the manufacturer. They offer me my money back but unfortunately because I've delayed this project by five months I cannot find a price that that's anywhere in the vicinity of $5000 anymore since prices have gone up astronomically in that time frame. The only thing I can do is warn you not to go to this Lowe's (or any Lowe's since I've also spoken with the regional install manager Kelly Luffman - whom was actually rude to me when I asked what to do) and definitely do not ever do a project with them of any kind for home improvement. Buyers beware. They are thieves! Here's a picture of my friend's door that I ordered because I liked it, may never get it.

I'm happy with this Lowe's. It's close to our house and the customer services always good. If we ever need to find something, they are very helpful about leading us in the right direction.

The best section for cleaning products are located as soon as you walk in which is a huge plus

The store has everything you need - but unlike Home Depot, things are organized intuitively. The options are pared down to things you may actually need if you're looking for the basics - no more wandering aisles like a lost puppy! The prices for the items we purchased were comparable to Home Depot - no markups! And again, the environment is much less intimidating. Extra points because they have a cute lazy shop cat who prefers to be respected LOL

The 2 notable ones are Tracy and Dennis. Let me start with Dennis first. They remodeled their store and now the fasteners/nuts/bolts area has been expanded and I love this. Most of the time I come it's because I need some fitting that broke or something with something I have and I don't need 100 of them, just 1 or a few. All the Ace Hardwares are perfect for this and I've never NOT found what I needed. Dennis has helped me most of the time when I come, which isn't too frequent, but maybe a few times a year. He is always very patient. Sometimes it's with a project and he offers suggestions. Thank you, Dennis. Tracy is a newer person for me from the past year. I don't remember why I came in, but he was the person to help me. He's retired from his career and just wanted to still work, but not in a high pressured career. We've had some really great conversations. He is very personable and super, super helpful. I needed to fix my dripping shower faucet and asked him for suggestions. He gave me lots of sound advice, which all of them really helped me. Unfortunately this Ace did not have the parts I needed for my particular showers, but the advice he gave was invaluable and saved me hundreds of dollars. I was able to change out the shower spout, handle, shower heads with new stuff and all by myself. This turned out to be fairly easy, so I thought why not to tackle my master bath, that had similar shower fixtures. The master bath was a little trickier, and took a bit longer, but I was able to change all the shower fixtures minus the drains all by myself without incident and everything is working great. I did this back over 3 months ago and everything still works fantastically. Tracy did advise that replacing the drains was a bit more difficult. He didn't say don't do this, but the thought of having to perhaps replace plumbing and the showers did not appeal to me. So, the drains remained. I also wanted to change out the sink faucet in the first bathroom. He talked about the hard water deposits we have and how to replace the faucet. He showed me a tool, a sink wrench, to help me loosen and get into tight spaces. My husband really was the one that went under the sink to do all this. I am grateful. This was a bit more difficult than we had hoped because whomever installed the prior faucet really glued EVERYTHING down well, which required my husband to use a DeWalt cutting tool to get the parts out. Since the first bathroom turned out well, we also did the Master Baths both faucets - replacing them. Thank you, Tracy, for your guidance and direction in this, for caring enough to be specific to empower me/us to do these repairs to our home and saving hundreds in labor and not needing to call out a plumber to do all this. Both Dennis & Tracy are true assets to this Ace Hardware location. Thank you for caring about your customers and going above and beyond every time. God bless you and the rest of the employees here.

Here it goes: Their sheds are supposed to come with vents--it's stated on the website, and when you begin designing your shed, the vents appear on the visual model throughout the entire configuration process. We paid over $6,100 for our shed, and it was built today with NO VENTS. The crew that installed it even said, "That's weird, it should have them," and told us to contact Tuff Shed about it. My husband called and spoke with Zack, who claimed we would have to pay over $300 for them to come install vents because "we didn't pay for them." I'm furious because vents are standard. They automatically show up on the model, and since we added a window, I clearly remember choosing a smaller window size to make sure it didn't interfere with the vent placement on the side of the shed. The vents were always displayed, and there was never an option to remove or upgrade them like other features. I called and asked for a manager because this situation and what was relayed to my husband is insane--especially in Arizona, where temperatures exceed 120° in summer. Apparently, Zack is the manager. He repeatedly put me on mute while I was talking and clearly had no interest in customer satisfaction or doing the right thing. This company deceives customers by showing features online, then delivering something different. Even Zack agreed that sheds are supposed to come with vents. So why would I comb through the invoice looking for them? Standard features don't appear on invoices--only specification upgrades did. His excuse was that we were "credited" for removing the vents. No, we weren't. There is no credit line for vents anywhere on our invoice. If there had been, I would have questioned it immediately and not pay or sign anything. The invoice does show a "Credit for Removal of Default Door" (because we upgraded it), but nothing at all about vents. This is dishonest, and the company is taking advantage of customers. Who spends this kind of money and pays for upgrades just to knowingly remove a standard free feature like vents--especially when the design platform doesn't even offer an option to remove them? This feels like a complete scam: removing free standard features and then demanding customers pay a ridiculous amount to add them back. I've filed a complaint with the BBB and disputing the transaction on my card. We are Arizona natives--we know the dangers of a shed with no ventilation. This is our second shed, and our first one absolutely came with vents in our old house. Lack of ventilation is a serious health and safety risk. My grandparents live in the casita and will be using this shed. I also have a three-year-old who could wander inside and not be able to get out, and we might not hear him or anyone inside yell for help. The consequences of not having vents are serious, and that's exactly why they're standard. I'm furious with how this company handled the situation and with the lies we were told over the phone. They refuse to fix a problem they caused. We never elected to remove vents--this was their mistake. At this point, we want the shed removed from our property and a full refund. This is shady business, and we will take our money elsewhere and buy a custom shed from a honest company. Zack repeatedly stated that all sheds come with vents and that ours "were removed," and that we "should have noticed," and that we were "credited" for it--again, we absolutely were not credited and we never removed them!!! This entire situation is unacceptable!
