I purchased a fridge and washer/dryer and delivery took over a week. When the order arrived the fridge was damaged and they gave me the wrong cords for the washer/dryer . That's fine things happen , the issue was there was no communication from the store . The delivery driver told me the store was going to call me in 30 min after they left to figure out rescheduling options . That never happened . Ok , I understand they might be busy no problem , I'll call them . When I called the associate told me for damaged items they wouldn't be able to reschedule the delivery until the items were returned to the store ...hmm ok . I asked if the item was back in the store . The associate didn't know and told me to call in the next morning . I then asked if he could check. (At this point I was just inquiring I didnt even give him my order number yet ) . He told me the delivery guys weren't back yet so there was no point in giving him my order number ..weird because I thought you didn't know if it was back yet ? Anywaysss I called in the morning . The associate still didn't know what happened , so I had to wait until she reached out to the delivery guys to see if the item was back in the store (it was) . Rescheduling was easy and quick . I asked if I could be partially refunded a discount or a gift card since I had to take another day off of work to be there to receive the order . The manager told me to call when I received the order to discuss options . I did. She wasn't there when I called . I called the next day . Same thing she wasn't there ...and when I asked the associate to leave a note for the Manager to call me back the associate refused and told me to "try again tomorrow " . All dodging me ? There are some hand sanitizers available for customers to use. This place is open and available with limited capacity. They are not sanitizing in between customers. COVID-19 Vaccination Proof: This establishment currently does not require proof of vaccination. While I was grabbing some supplies from this establishment several days ago, I asked if they had any special offers and they weren't offering any at the moment. They also do not allow pets in their establishment. Parking: The parking lot for this establishment is pretty big. Plenty of parking available for you to choose from. The parking spots are also decent. I had to come here after my unsuccessful supplies hunt at Home Depot. I actually found the stuff that I needed for my renovation here. Yay! The store itself is very neat, clean, organized, and tidy. Everything is placed in a way that makes sense and easy to find. The bathrooms are also very clean too. I have used this Lowe's Pico Rivera for the replacement of all my windows, plantation shutters, two blinds, one door and two security doors. I use Lowe's because of the guarantees and the flexible financing which is very helpful. It's a big business so they won't disappear off of the face of the earth and when doing these projects, there are contracts involved. I love all of this. But what I absolutely abhor is the in-store customer service. This is a big box store. There are never enough associates to assist. I find it incredibly perplexing. And essentially at this point, everything needs to be done online. It's ridiculous. You should be able to get your services either online or in person. But I get why. The in-store associates are untrained. They know absolutely nothing. Every once in a while you'll win the lottery and find someone with knowledge. I find the whole experience incredibly frustrating. One of the doors I had installed was left with a huge gap on the bottom. There was no one to go to so it could be fixed. You can't ask in store, you can't find the contractors, it's a Catch-22. Wish my review could be on the delivery part. Went in on a Monday and purchased a washer and dryer. The agreed upon delivery day is for Friday between 10am and 2pm. In store experience good, lady who helped was excellent, the delivery part... HORRIBLE! Took the day off of work to await my delivery. The whole week receiving emails and texts about my delivery and confirmation. The morning of the delivery I receive a text message: Good news! Your order #xxxxxxxxxxxxxxx is out for delivery today and arriving between 10:00 AM - 02:00 PM. You're stop number 7: Well 2:30 comes and my delivery never came. Call the number to speak to a rep and apparently the girl states "oh! seems like you called in and canceled". Which I tell her that I never canceled, I took today off of work for the sole purpose of waiting for the delivery. Then she switches to oh looks like it's because your email wasn't on file. Then I ask "the email that you guys have been sending me the receipt and confirmation and all of a sudden not on file?" Then I ask "ok now which is it? You claim I called and canceled and that's not true and now you're stating it's over an email which I have received emails and text messages all week from you guys" then she gives me the unfortunate "sorry but the delivery guys have moved on already, I can reschedule for tomorrow or Sunday". I'm like wait... I scheduled an appointment, you text and email me all week about the delivery, even sent me a text notification at 7:55am about my delivery coming today and now no notification that the delivery is canceled or even raise a concern about it? I asked to speak to the manager and the manager doesn't want to come to the phone. I even mentioned that your trucks still have my items on their truck and yet can't come bring me my items due to whatever reasoning you guys are claiming. There was never any cancelation on my behalf and yet no one makes me aware of any changes or cancellations. So now I have to wait yet another day for my items in hopes that they actually arrive yet again. If my items aren't delivered on the newly scheduled date and time because of whatever they can't explain then I might as well get my refund and go to Home Depot which is what I should've done in the first place... Moral of the story, don't buy items from Lowe's if you're going to need them delivered. Go somewhere else. An optimistic trip to Lowe's turned into an absolute disaster proving this store does not have any customer service and does not honor veteran discounts. I have never been so disrespected by the employees and the store managers (Georgia and Juan Gasca) who refused to speak with me in regards to my veterans discount being withheld. I presented my VA card multiple times with the response we do not honor military discounts, only online. It was embarrassing having to plead my case as the checkout line was growing to 8+ people behind me giving me looks as I was trying to figure out what the issue was. I also explained to them I have completed the online application at Lowe's for military. At the end, and almost 40min later, I finally received my discount from the obviously frustrated associate. If you are a Veteran, or honor veterans who have sacrificed so much for this country - I would think twice about supporting this store or any Lowe's for that matter. They mostly have the things I need. If you're thinking about the curbside forget it. This is the fourth time I've tried to curbside something and have waited over 15 minutes, while giving them plenty of time j was on my way, and the store not being busy by any means with no other cars in the curbside parking spaces. I go inside after about 15 minutes of waiting and there's people in the return and pickup counter just talking. This is ridiculous, fix this problem, and don't offer curbside if you can't follow through. Disappointed and the store manager should take a note of this with a solution to fix as this is the only location that this happens to that I've been to. read more

I can't complain about this Lowe's, but I'm not going to gush over it, either. Driving to Pico Rivera from Arcadia/Temple City feels a lot farther away than the 9-10 mile trip it is... whether you take the freeway or Rosemead, you're gonna probably need to dedicate some time. Not the store's fault, but considering so many Lowe's stores shuttered in 2020, it was here, Industry, or Covina. Everything's a hike from wherever you are. The store is expansive, in an even more expansive shopping center with several "anchor tenants" holding up the walls for smaller stores like Five Below and a few small restaurant/bakery-type places. After side-stepping a poor fellow in the parking lot screaming at the top of his lungs at someone named "Andreas" who, ostensibly, only he could see... I got into the store which was relatively empty. The large signs for "departments" are a good start, but you may need to ask an employee to direct you to your final item(s). This is the real trick in a big-box store, as sometimes you can find someone quickly, and other times, you're probably looking for someone during what must be the same time as a "floor staff meeting" in the lunch room. Either way, a little self-reliance is helpful at Lowe's. Today, I walked out of Lowe's with a vanity top, a vanity light, and a large mirror... yep, working on a bathroom. I found all my items, and despite the worry that I would pay more pound-for-pound than Orange Depot, the prices for all items were comparable. I thought about hitting the garden area to grab Mrs. Picante an azalea, but wanted to get going. Nice lady at the front rung me up, wearing mask, gloves, and behind the sneeze guard thing. COVID game strong. Yeah, I'll go back again... but considering it's eleven times farther way than my nearest Orange Depot, it'll only be because my first stop doesn't stock something I need. read more

Poor customer service. I ordered an item online at Lowe's.com. The wrong item was delivered so I immediately started the return process. At Lowe's.com there's an option to return to store. So I went to this store to return the item. I was treated very poorly by Cecilia at the customer service return line. Cecilia was being ver nasty towards me for no reason. The store doesn't take any items ordered online. I was trying to explain to her that if that's the case, then why is there an option online to return to store. There's clearly a disconnect between the stores and online. So don't try returning any item to the stores that you ordered online. And try to avoid dealing with Cecilia. read more

I came back from a vacation and found that my 5-year-old refrigerator needed to be replaced. My mother suggested Lowe's and so I went and found a wide selection of refrigerators to choose from. I got it delivered in two days and it turns out that one of the plastic shelves were cracked. Not only that, but the rubber lining also that surrounds the door was loose and the glue was starting to come apart. I didn't take a picture of the crack but I did take a picture of the white rubber lining that shows it separating from the actual door. This was a bummer because I had paid each delivery man $20 bucks for their hard work on bringing it up to my apartment on the second floor. I had a doctor appointment that I was already late for, so I didn't have time to inspect it once they delivered it until after my appointment upon getting back home. Apparently, you cannot get help from the actual store that you bought the appliance from so I had to deal with customer service call centers. Yeah, you heard that right (cringe). They were the worst! After getting the run-a-round they finally swapped the appliance and of course I tipped the two guys again because they truly do work hard and it's not their fault that I am having a bad experience with Lowe's. So now I am out a total of $80 which is my problem as this was my decision to tip them and is not a requirement. When they brought the refrigerator, I inspected it this time and noticed that the freezer section was missing the upper right hand corner plate! See the picture. This is how I got it. I could not believe it! The guys looked just as shocked, and they agreed to just take the plate from the previous refrigerator and apply it to the new one. I wasn't too happy about that, but I was over the whole thing and just wanted an appliance that worked so that I can stop wasting so much money eating out. We are a family of three! The refrigerator was plugged, and I bought some groceries and placed them inside. Yes, they did say it could take up to 4 hours for it to fully get cold but my previous refrigerator from them got cold in about 1 hour so I didn't really think too much about this. Well, 4 hours later, the refrigerator is not cold at all and doesn't work... It was such a letdown that I decided to call Lowe's and just have them refund me completely for the appliance. I didn't want to go through this a third time. Again, I got the run-a-round, apparently you have to deal with a third-party department called XDT (all which are red flags btw). Now they are supposed to pick up my appliance tomorrow as of this writing and only when they get the appliance back in their warehouse will they then provide me with a full refund. Understood. BUT...I have to spend more money eating out as I do not have a refrigerator for two days and I went and bought a new one from Best Buy which they cannot deliver until Lowe's picks up their piece of junk from my apartment! Not to mention how bad I felt having to toss all my food in the trash as a result of the refrigeration not cooling as it was supposed to. If you purchase their protection plan, Lowe's is supposed to cover up to $300 worth of food spoilage, but you have to submit a claim online and provide pictures of your receipts. This is exactly what I did and it is pending so far but even if they did reimburse me for my groceries, it was still such a pain to take time off work to deal with this mess and wait on the phone only to be told a manager will call me back, etc. TIP: whenever you buy a refrigerator, you might want to wait a day before buying groceries, just in case it stops working within 24 hours. Also, Lowe's only allows you to get a full refund if you report any issues with the appliance within 48 hours! If you pass the 48-hour mark, you are stuck with dealing with the protection plan nonsense and weird customer service. All in all, I have never bought anything from Lowe's before and I will not ever buy from them again in the future. Perhaps I was just unlucky and hopefully third time is the charm over at Best Buy. And btw, the brand I got from Lowe's is frigidaire refrigerator. read more

Well, things didn't go well, I was first told that I could not purchase a floor model, then, after speaking with "C" I was directed to employee "J" who lied to my face saying he never spoke with me, he also said it was promised to "someone" else, just not me. Ordered a counter top on June 8th and was told it would be delivered in 3 days. On the 11th I was told it was damaged and would come on the 17th. On the 17th I was told again it was damaged and would come on July 8th. After calling and complaining it was to be delivered again today. And yes again today I got a call it was damaged. I called customer service again and they found another store that would deliver tomorrow. So 4 days of hiring a contractor to come out 4 time with no counter top to put I i paid out $480. for the cancelled installation. Lowes used to be a good store they have uncopentent people working in their stores and don't care if you had to pay out money for their mistakes. I was told on the 17th that they were ordering strait from the manufacturer and that is why it was pushed for a delivery today. They don't know what they are doing and as an improvement store they need to think about what they are doing to their customers. I still have no counter top see what happens tomorrow. But seriously this store is the worst for service or compentency. I am so upset and they laugh and don't care. I paid more to a contractor because he showed up that that stupid counter top. I will never shop at Lowes again and this pico store is the worst! When are they going to allow negative stars because they don't even deserve one star. read more

Not a lot of products available, empty messy shelves that nobody cleans or accommodates. I found used wipes inside boxes probably full of coronavirus. The biggest issue is the VETERANS OR MILITARY DISCOUNT. You need to be signed up with Lowe's to be able to use it whereas Home Depot does not require all these hurdles. Very disappointing visit. My man & I are genuinely starting to like Lowe's. We went to Home Depot first but the line outside to get inside was ridiculous! We came here & there was no line to get inside. The only line we dealt with was at check out but that went by fast as there was only 3 customers ahead of us when we got in line. We got the supplies we needed for the remodeling we're doing on his families new home & I'm happy that we were in & out quickly. In the time we got our paint mixed, looked for our items I'm sure we would've still been stuck outside of Home Depot waiting. Lowe's really is a gem & we're glad that we have come to realize this. Aaron the manager from store #1591 did not understand customer service or keeping business for the company. I went in Tuesday bought lumber had for my project. I so wish I got the Supervisors name he was so nice. He listened to what my project was about and gave me advice on top of "project cutting" my lumber. So happy customer me went back to buy more lumber the cashier let me know they are loading and can take a while. No worries I get it. I will come back in 3 hours. When I got back the wood was there where I parked it. An employee was like "we cant" but like the workers that are kicking it. So he called his manager over because he wasnt going to waste his time explaining. NOW I am told by Aaron that lowes does NOT do "project cuts" He then said if I pick it up later that evening. he will have it done as a courtesy. "He can only have project cuts done by 2 people" he instructed me to go leave my name and number with the cashier. I did. Still happy customer at this time. So this morning I call first. And of course not done, the employee on the phone has no idea. So no communication between Aaron a manager and staff. Not even a post it note. So she asks around and Aaron happens to be there. But he tell her to tell me : "He can only have project cuts done by 2 people" so he can have it done if I want to pick it up later. Absolutely not, when dealing with this situation a lie cannot be used back to back. So if lowes does not help with DIYs. If I went in and asked for then to cut the wood into heart shapes than I would be in the wrong. But wasn't the case neither did he give me the option to pay for the service. read more

I was here a while and throughout my time here someone on the PA kept asking hardware to pick up their damn phone and they never did! This proves beyond a doubt that they do not answer phones anywhere in this Home Depot wannabe store! The masonry isle was temporary closed throughout my visit even though no one was working there. I can give them the benefit of the doubt but I also saw an employee hiding in a different isle on their phone for a large part of my visit so yeah. As a whole, the employees aren't nearly as nice or friendly or as helpful as the big HD. As if all of that weren't bad enough, and it's pretty bad tbh, when I got to the register the cashier charged me for an item I just wanted a price check on and when I saw it come up on the screen I told her it was still on there and she dismissed it. Like the fool I am for even coming here, I still swiped and on my receipt there was the price checked item that supposedly wasn't there! Now the cashier believed me! She started a return, and mind you, she wasn't trained on returns so she had to call someone for help and guess what, they didn't pick up the phone! I think she then called from her personal cell and only then did things progress. She was nice enough but there was a lot of opportunity for comedy there that was just not utilized. So yeah, this place still blows oh so much. Even though Home Depot has too much orange in their stores and branding in general, they're good at what they do and that's what really counts. What a whirlwind of a disaster. The gas company said either "repair your cooktop or get a new one." I never liked the cheap Ikea one that was installed in this house, so we sought the assistance of Lowe's. We knew in our guts it was going to be special order, but this place and their delivery service can't seem to get it together. At one point someone told me my order was canceled. WTF, right? This is a SPECIAL ORDER. Three weeks to arrive at the store. Why? I don't know. Other stores get theirs much sooner, but I decided to be a pain in the ass and go with Lowe's. The first time I called the actual store to find out just what was happening, I was transferred to 5 different people. FIVE. When I feel like I finally get a straight answer from the operator who looked up my account after a second call, my husband replied, "No, it sounds like they recreated the order today and it's another 10 days until it gets here. And then they came up with that bullshit story they just fed you. I used to work retail, babe." Usually I enjoy shopping at this particular Lowe's. It's clean. Organized. They have good sales for the locals. The lumber is better quality than, say, Home Depot. But they keep getting my hopes up. Calling me to let me know my cooktop is in. Wait in customer service for nearly an hour just to learn they put my name on a special order window. Meanwhile the husband is searching for an alternative because he wants to cancel the order. Absolutely avoid this store and the workers there if you could. I lost about $300 because of their misleading returns policy and the rudeness of the woman at the returns counter. Whole story: I brought in some planters that were purchased for me through a third party to see if I could get a refund in cash or gift card. The woman who helped me was discourteous and spoke with a sarcastic tone of voice when I tried to make small talk, but she brushed me off. After taking my receipt, she immediately refunded it to the 3rd party's card without communicating a word to me that it was what she was doing. I read the policy at the counter multiple times and it stated that there are multiple options to getting a refund, but nowhere did it say that it can ONLY be refunded to the original payment method. I was waiting for her to just look up the order in the system, but instead she processes it without asking if it's what I wanted. Just a single confirmation or asking "card?" would've helped to avoid this issue, because I would've said no to the refund since it wasn't my card. I spoke to the store manager Rochelle, and she gave me the same excuse that "other stores do the same thing." What does it matter what other stores do? I'm talking to you because your employee didn't communicate properly and made an irreversible 300$ charge that I can no longer get back, and that the 3rd party is not responsible for. Even though this happened, I spoke to multiple people at this store politely because I know that being rude to customer service gets you nowhere. I was still given horrible attitude by all the upper management employees when I was just desperate for some assistance. Go to any other home improvement store but this one. read more

My freezer (in a side-by-side refrigerator) was no longer keeping stuff frozen solid, so we needed a new refrigerator urgently. We had already researching refrigerators, and Lowe's had one in-stock and ready to ship the next day (last week). I saw the poor ratings here on Yelp, but I thought, "What could wrong w/ a straightfoward fridge install?" SO.MUCH.WENT.WRONG. The first installation team couldn't find the shut off valve for the water line (it's literally in the same room about 6 ft away from the fridge). So they left the new and old fridge and said for us to contact them when we found the valve (which took less than an 1 hr). They came back 2 days later to install, and it was a different set of people this time around. That was when the disaster started. The delivery guy tried to deliver ANOTHER fridge. Huh? No, we already have a fridge. Then he told us that the existing water line needs a connector (to be installed by a plumber) for the new hose. Interesting, the other delivery person didn't mention that at all. Then he shoehorned the new fridge (which is all of 1/4" wider and 1.5" taller than the old one which fit very easily into the space) into the cabinet. He didn't bother to level it, and so the fridge is crooked and rubbing against the cabinet veneer. When we confronted him about the lack of leveling, he said that fridge couldn't be leveled b/c the floor is uneven (uh, that's why it has leveling feet) and b/c there's only leveling ft on the front. We don't expect it to be perfectly level, but shouldn't you make some attempt? I guess not, if you're Lowe's delivery company. The fridge is so tightly tightly jammed into the fridge that we don't feel comfortable pulling it out ourselves (meaning we can't get a plumber in to check the line). The delivery guy also initially refused to haul away the old fridge, saying it haul away wasn't ordered. Uh, yes, it is and IT'S EVEN WRITTEN ON YOUR ORDER SHEET. As he was hauling out the old fridge, there was a crashing noise. He gouged a door on his way out. So we need so to fridge to be leveled and for Lowe's to pay to repair the door. We contacted the store that day to get a resolution and were told by an employee to send an e-mail (that was on 08/12). We've sent 3-4 e-mails to them since to follow up. NO response from the local store. So we've called the national customer-service number FOUR times (and even have 2 case numbers) in less than a week to get the local store to respond. The national customer service people said that the store is allowed 48 hours to respond initially and then only 24 hours after that. Still no response as of today. And the customer-care agent from today's call informed that the local store had closed out the case, stating they were in communication w/ us. To put it generously, that's a misinterpretation of the situation. We've filed a dispute with our credit card company (since installation is included in the cost of the fridge). That should cover the cost of hiring someone to help us level the fridge and repair the door. DO NOT PURCHASE FROM THIS STORE. read more

One of my favorite places to get my daily essentials for my garden and indoor plants. Never once have I had a negative encounter with the customers, much less the employees. As I was making my way through the store, a young man asked me if I needed any assistance and reassured me that I could ask him any questions if I had any! This is what makes this Lowe's like no other. The customer service and the attention here is what makes it my favorite store. Best deals and prices on pretty much everything. I went to purchase a few small items and it was all self check out,no open registers . But there was three giggly young women standing by the exit doors wishing me to have a nice day.
