After moving downtown, I needed a new go-to nail salon for my once-in-a-blue-moon mani-pedi treat. Through yelp, I decided on LP. It's by the LA Fitness so parking sucks, get there early if you have an appointment. I was greeted immediately and brought to a pedicure station. I had called and made an appointment but while i was there, multiple walk-ins come by and each was accommodated without a wait. Gerry was my nail tech. And he was amazing! I needed to soak off my SNS nails and another tech wrapped my nails while Gerry got started on my Hot Stone Pedicure. (Definitely worth the extra cost) My pedicure was about an hour long and my feet feel amazing. The chairs are massage chairs so I was super relaxed and enjoyed reading my book. Onto my nails, I wanted a gel manicure after having SNS and tips on for 6 weeks. Gerry cleaned up my nails taking extra time as I had told him I was a mail biter and was excited to have my natural nails long now. The result is flawless nails are! Based on the good reviews and photos I decided to try somewhere new for the first time in years. LP offers a full range of nail, wax, massage and other beauty treatments. Prices seemed fair for all. We opted for the LP Signature Pedicure for $45. I would consider this the deluxe pedi option as it includes exfoliation, scrub, mask, hot towels, massage, and paraffin treatment. Toe polish of your choice included. Hubs got the same pedi minus the polish. Most places skip on the message but our girls did not! Leg and foot massage was wonderful. Best I have had while getting a pedicure. My toenail service and polish turned out wonderful as well. No bleeding or cuts to close. Neatly trimmed and buffed. Great polish job with smooth paint and no left behind marks on my skin. My guy's toes came out the best I have ever seen them. Nice and clean! I found a new place and close to home. Soooo I used to love this nail salon a couple years back when my guy used to work there - he went back home to Vietnam tho :( I tried out a couple diff ladies and I couldn't get someone consistent so I started going over to a salon in winter springs called xo nails and I see "me" currently. Well I had a big trip coming up so I decided to go here again bc it's closer to my house and was last minute (bad mistake on my part.) I called asked if they had an availability for a dip manicure. This is some thing I get done every 2 to 3 weeks usually. Anyways, they said that they could take me and I drove up to the store and walked in and was barely greeted by what I guess is the owner and he brought me over to a table and started with a nail file on the top surface of the dip but I could tell he barely even filed through the top coat. Anyways he raps my nails with foil and cotton rolls with acetone. About seven or eight minutes later another lady came over started looking at my nails and again just put the cotton ball back on with the tinfoil (I think this is the part owner too). I then wait another 5 to 10 minutes and then get moved to a completely different chair with a completely different nail tech. She started takeoff the foils and noticed that it wasn't filed down enough so she filed at more put them back on again... I swear I waited for 20 to 30 minutes to takeoff my Dip mani. It has never taken this long!!! The nail tech was sitting at the third row all the way to the left I think. She was sweet but she didn't really talk to me very much which is fine since there is a plexiglass between you and your nail tech (hers was covered in powder - not cleaned between her previous client and me, probably because I was shoved off into her chair.) She only asked if I liked the length of my nails which I said was fine she continue to do the entire dip manicure and a few of them, the shape was off but I was completely fine with that but when she got to the cuticle part I could feel that on a couple of them she had kind of cut the cuticle (I understand it happens). The final product was much thicker than my normal girl does and I could tell that it wasn't fully bonded in a couple places as soon as I left and looked and brighter light. I didn't think much of it and went on with my day. I left for a trip that next morning.... It was only A day after my appointment that my cuticles around the nail was all red and inflamed. I really didn't think much of it because I thought that's where she had nicked me.... boy was I wrong!! I had to find out the hard way that the nail tech used some thing on my nails that I am allergic to (based off my research online it's either a product that has gone bad or has been mixed with another product and had a reaction not allowing full bonding and allows dea page of materials onto whatever you touch.) Well... Lucky me! I had no idea that this is a thing and I put all of my make up and all my face products and everything on with my hands every day. The next day I broke out in a rash all over my face most severely on my eyes. I had to stop my family trip to get Benadryl and Claritin and hydrocortisone. I was in severe pain to the point of where I was crying because my eyes were were in excruciating pain. I made sure to stop touching my skin with my nails, esp the eyes bc the skin is so thin. A couple days later my eyes were back to normal thankfully and I went back to my altered Face routine and I guess I accidentally touched my eye again. Not even 10 minutes later my eyes became itchy and red. It is now almost a week and a half and the skin around the nail is still red. I definitely will not be going back to the same nail tech and probably not even this location anymore. I have never had this happen before. Ever!!!! Not in my 16 years of getting my nails done every 2-3 weeks. Oh also, my nails started peeling away from the dip, they're trying their best to get the toxins off. (Usually my dip nails will stay on without any chipping or breaking or edges popping off or anything for at least 2 to 3 weeks I usually just have to get them done because of the length.). Yes I know I'm awful that I've left this shit on my nails for a week and a half but I was out of town for the entire duration anc had plans every hour. My friend told me this place was open, so I went to check it out. They offer complimentary glass of wine or two... Very clean and friendly. Regular pedi is $25. For $35 you extra massage time and hot towel wrap. I know I am coming back. Next time I'll try hot stone pedi! They're a bit bulky looking and uneven, also shorter than I asked for since he kept filing them down. I didn't get asked whether or not I liked them. Went here with two friends for gel manicures and we all had very different experiences. Friend #1 showed up first and was the last one finished. Her nail tech did a great job with filing & taking care of her cuticles. She was asked if she wanted an additional coat of polish and was given a mini hand and arm massage while her nails were drying. Her nails looked great and she got great service. Friend #2 and I on the other hand.... Our nails came out practically transparent. Neither of us were asked if we wanted additional coats, were not asked if we were happy with the service. The techs simply left after doing the absolute bare minimum. I've included a picture. I had already filed my nails prior to arriving so my tech really didn't have to do much work in that regard either. Friend #2's nails started peeling within 48 hours!! Just an insane variation to me in the level of service from one nail tech to the next. I was shocked to see such good reviews after my visit, but I noticed most reviews do mention a specific tech. I left the place I had been going for years and have been looking for a new regular go to. Finally found it. My first visit there today was pretty good. The woman who appeared to be in charge was abrupt, but otherwise not a bad experience at all. Prices were reasonable and so far everything looks and feels great. She nipped the skin on my baby toe a couple of times, but that nail on me is so little and if you don't have great experience, it happens sometimes. She felt very bad for it. Items came out of a sealed bag. Everyone there seemed pleased with the services they were getting as well. The only other downside is parking isn't very good as it's a large strip mall area on top of tight parking spots, but if that's the biggest downside I'll take it! read more

Love this salon! I've been here twice, once for gels and once to have them removed, and both times I received great service. When I initially went in for my manicure they were super helpful with selecting a color, they have the bottles out on a shelf and then they offer those colored nail rings as well. I was in and out in about 30-40 minutes which is great time for a full gel manicure. My manicure held up for 4 weeks with no chips or peeling until the day I decided to have them taken off. When I went back for the gel to be removed, it was super quick- 15 mins, and it only cost a few dollars which is really nice. That time was a little more hurried so I didn't get to sit and really experience the salon but I will definitely be back in the future. They are always busy which is a good sign but there is never much of a wait which shows how efficient they are. Parking in this plaza is difficult, they compete with the gym crowd so allow time for circling the lot for a spot, especially in the evenings. read more

I have visited this location multiples times with no problem at all, however, today was less than satisfactory. I was welcomed by the owners nasty attitude, which I've tried to ignore in the past. Today, however, she and her employees (older ladies) were exceptionally rude and catty. I originally came in for a gel manicure and a regular pedicure, but after the owner chucked the gel selection on my lap and the employees indiscreetly gossiping about me (it is obvious when one lady says something in their language and they all turned and looked at me) I decided to end my visit with just the pedicure. I came with a group of coworkers to enjoy a relaxing girl's spa day. The place is clean, cute, and busy. My nail tech was friendly and funny but the quality of my nails itself was trash. I kid you not, I decided to upgrade to gel and pay the extra amount and by the time my nails were done, they were see-through. My friend got the worst of it but mine was definitely noticeable. She was saying how she heard that SNS is better than gel polish. That really made me want to try SNS because Gel polish has been giving me a hard time lately so I wanted something different. With SNS they dip your fingers in a colored powdered formula. It overlays over your natural nail. It's very light & It's supposed to be healthier for your nails. It has Vitamin E & Calcium in it. I chose this place based off of the Yelp reviews. When I walked in, I was underwhelmed. It took a minute or so to be greeted (which is a poor standard, imo). I asked for a pedicure and we told to pick a color. Decent selection of colors to choose from, really poor display. Most are in plastic crates/bins. I sat in my pedicure chair, nowhere to place my drink (which the operator saw me struggling with and offered no help), so I placed in on the step behind my chair. She (I did not get her name) handed me a menu to ask which pedicure service I would like. I had just come from a full massage, but still wanted to continue my relaxing day, so I chose the $40 package (bc of the longer massage). By the end, I just wanted it to be over! The tools she used, she just pulled from her caddy...I haven't seen someone do that in years! Clearly, there's no sanitation. I know...I should have gotten up right there - but I'm no wimp! ;) She used VERY little lotions/oils on my legs which resulted in her gloved hand pulling again my skin (which I had just recently been to the beach and was sensitive) - ouch! She only went just above my ankles for a massage on my legs. The massage was completely horrible! Rubbed the same spot on my feet for 15mins! I would have paid the $40 just for her to stop! (again, very little product, lots of glove pulling). Not only was the massage horrible...she kept coughing all over me! With her mask around her chin only (not covering her mouth) - I could feel her cough on my legs and up to my face! THEN someone walked over to her and fed her a cracker?! I've been trying to find a good nail salon in the area and by George I think I've found it. I'm a server so I'm not allowed to get my hands polished (SUCKS). But, I did get the best $25 pedicure of my LIFE. My feet looked so bad before and now they look like model feet. I also got my eye brows done. If you know me then you KNOW how paranoid I am to have a random person touch my brows. But Yan did an AMAZING job. They look like Anastasia of Beverly Hills brows. No joke. Also, being a server at Disney being on my feet for 12 hours at a time can be really hard. Yan gave me the most amazing foot/calf massage of my life. She was super sweet and gave me a HUGE glass of wine to help me relax. She took her time and really made me feel pampered and special. I'm so happy to have found Yan. While in town, I was looking for a nail salon near downtown. I was surprised my options were limited so I ventured a little outside the core and via my friends here at Yelp - came into LP. I never even noticed this location even though I frequent both the Target and the LA Fitness in the plaza. As soon as I walked in, I felt relaxed. It was clean and I was instantly welcomed. I wanted a plain manicure and was glad they were not pushy on the gel or the up sell of a mani pedi. I told the girl I only had time for a quick polish. I had my color selection ready and I only had to wait a few mins as a walk in which was nice. My nail tech was friendly and very meticulous which i appreciated. She treated my nails delicately and massaged my hands. No bumps or streaks in my polish & my cuticles looked great. My only complaint is that my nail tech was doing a few things at once so I was left sitting there a few times especially when I was drying my nails. I had to take it upon myself and assume my nails were done since it had been a while. Went in to get a fill and a pedicure and only ended up getting a pedicure which was terrible. The "massage" was awful and borderline painful. Punching the bottom of my feet does not equal a massage. I picked some pretty basic nail art and every picture I showed them they said they couldn't do. Color selection is not that great either. Let me start off by saying I'm not a huge nail person. I pick at my own nails and peel the skin. It's a nervous tick, I always have. But like 6 years ago I wore acrylics for almost a year.... but I digress. This place was really awesome. I had to get a mani pedi for a wedding I will be in this weekend and I called the day before to set up an appointment for such for 2 people as my sister was coming along too. Easy peasy. When I walked in I was greeted and asked what I wanted. Said I had appointment. They directed me to pick a color and come sit down to start the pedi. They had the perfect color that my bride asked me to get a "light nude, blush type color" so I sat down and they ran the water asking me to test the temperature. Offered me water, Soda or wine. I asked for a coke. My sister joined me and we double checked the price- a regular polish basic mani and pedi was $35? They said yes. So we upgraded the pedi for the next one up. So the price would then be $45 for both. Not bad at all. Especially for enjoying it so much! The nail techs were not pushy at all, you know how places can be- wanting you to get more things and more things done. Not here. The pedicure was awesome and had to have taken about an hour from start to finish which is unheard of! It was really relaxing and the massage and exfoliating part were so damn good! My sister and I chatted every so often, but overall it was a very chill, quiet, relaxing vibe inside. Which I really appreciate. The inside was very organized and clean, and every station was sanitary. I liked how they line the inner bowel of the pedicure tub with a plastic liner so no contamination and they wore gloves. The pedicure/massage chairs were standard enough and I enjoyed my rolling and poking chair. On every wall there was 2 flat screens with the food channel or HGTV on ( I love the home makeover shows!) And for the basic mani it was just that but very clean, quick and enjoyable. I had a lot of dead skin and cuticles around every nail and my guy took the time to really get it cleaned up as well as he could. My water was ice cold and I felt bad having to ask to make my water warmer multiple times. My tech then took out a trash can and a plastic cup and started emptying out the water by hand. She then got a kettle with piping hot water and poured it into my foot bath. I've never seen that in my life. My boyfriend paid for the 3 pedis after they were finished and left to run to the store while I was still getting mine done. Another women came up to my while I was finishing up and basically told me that the tip he left wasn't enough for the 3 pedicures. Now every time I am in Orlando she's asking me if I need a mani/pedi. Call ahead if you can but even if you have to wait you can walk over to Target to kill time. Or grab a coffee at Starbucks. I get my nails done regularly and can vouch for the quality of this place. Sometimes my nails go a week without a chip on a regular Essie mani. Service is so nice. I must say, I am pleasantly surprised by this typical plaza nail salon. While taking abuelita to run some errands near Fashion Square, we decided it was a great day to get her "beauty maintenance" up to par. So, I pulled up my trusty Yelp app to find a place convenient to our current location. A'las we we found ourselves at LP Nail & Spa. To say I was surprised by the level of service she received is an understatement. Abuelita was treated to the time, patience, and attention to detail provided by Jerry. Affordable (only 25 for shellac mani and 25 for basic pedi). I always do walk in and never have to wait more than 5 minutes. Good polish selection. Free drink (soda, water or wine) during your service. I've gone to a couple different technicians here but Van is the best! Amazing attention to detail and she makes sure you like her work before finishing! Only con is parking is hard to find in the plaza because it's right next to an LA fitness but no actual complaints about the shop or service. read more
