Well, it's only appropriate that I type up a Yelp review for the Lube Center as I sit here using their free Internet while my car is serviced :) I really appreciate this as on mornings or afternoons that my car has been here, I can actually sit here and work at the same time! Oh, what joy ;) but really, this place is the BEST! Our family has been bringing our cars here for YEARS. These guys are always here for you. Today wasn't a scheduled maintenance day - it was more like a drive into my Hollywood office, go to move my car only to realize umm.... my car won't start! So of course, the first thing I do whenever I have a car issue is call up the Lube Center and tell them I'm on my way. I don't ever waste my time elsewhere and if I ever need a tow it's straight here. These are the most honest, fair guys in town and if for some reason they can't fix the problem they will refer you to someone who can. I'm always here for oil changes but today it's a battery and it's on hand and I'll be on my way in 45min or less... so I may sit here and surf the web or head out for a bit but I highly recommend you use this place if you are anywhere near by. This is a great example of the quality of small businesses. I have been coming here for my oil changes for 2 years now. I'm sooo glad I found this place. They never try to up sell you. I have a 2001 Honda Civic with 100,000+ miles and it still runs great. I am not car savvy at all and would be a prime sucker for buying unnecessary work. I would probably believe my old car needs anything the mechanics tell me. But these guys give me an oil change and tell me so far so good. Only once my tail light was out and they told me. They asked if I wanted it fixed. The additional price? Something like $5.00. Haha! Awesome. Love these guys and never going anywhere else. read more

Well, I was kinda hoping to be the one to inform the world about how great the Lube Center is, but apparently it's no secret. I'm glad that they are appreciated. The service was fast and fair (Just over 60 bucks for a quality oil-change in 20 minutes), and everyone I spoke to there knew English. Probably the best thing, though, was that they didn't try to get me to upgrade to higher-end service, or convince me that I needed work done on my timing belt, alternator, or clutch. I should have written this review several years ago when I started going to this place but I just decided to start reviewing on Yelp. The first time I went there because my BF at the time had been a life long customer and at one point, had even worked there. I have a 2000 Toyota Avalon and the dealer had just quoted me like over $1200 for all kinds of repairs they said I need to replace various belts and all kinds of stuff. The car had over 125K miles so I thought it was possible but it felt shady. Until then, I had had my all my cars serviced at the same dealership and thought we had a relationship I could trust. I took the quote over to the Lube Center. Brent had it checked out and said, "No. All you needed was an oil change." The JERKS at the Toyota dealership!!!! Wow, was I mad at the Toyota dealership (in Pasadena, yep, Symes, I am talkin' about you!) But, I have been a super fan of this place ever since. I actually look FORWARD to seeing Brent and getting my vehicles serviced. I always ask that they give the car and camper van a really thorough check because they are both 14 years old (and I would like to keep them as long as possible). Just before I was heading up to Vegas in the car, I asked them to check it out carefully and they found that the engine mount (never knew there was such a thing) was cracked all the way through. Brent took me out and showed it to me and I could totally see the damage. Yikes! They replaced it for a super reasonable price and saved me God only knows how much trouble and expense of possibly having a break down in the desert. So, thank you guys for all the excellent service, super reasonable pricing (and for keeping Sunset magazine stocked in the waiting room!) Great experience every time I've been! read more

I got tired of those big chain oil change places, so I stopped by on a whim one day, and what a find! I almost never have to wait for very long to get an oil change, and they can fix minor problems on the spot. The prices are reasonable, and I never feel like they are trying to pull a fast one on me. The service has been very good, and they even provide free Internet access in the office while you wait. read more

SHA-ZAM!!! Lube Center is the BOMB! Rolled in there after reading all of these STELLAR Yelp reviews (MEGA-THANKS fellow Yelpers!). And man oh man, do they deserve all 5-stars! I must've hit 'em at just the right moment cause i rolled in and outta there in less than 15 minutes---total---and that's with no appointment. Granted, they did a simple oil change for my little Scion XA but with a smile of friendliness, promptness, great communication and a comfortable waiting area. GOODBYE JIFFY LUBE and all your pushy 'add-ons' ("Yeeeeaaaaaa, looks like you're gonna need a new air filter---for the 4th time this year"). Lube Center is the way to go for those in need of a quick oil change for just under $40 bucks. read more

They cheerfully took my car into a waiting bay, ushered me into their office equipped with a comfortable couch, TV, magazines, soda dispenser and computer screen with wifi. They pointed out a relatively minor concern and instead of trying to up-sell me on a fix, said they'd flag the issue for possible service next time. I'll definitely return. read more

This place is great! I have been in 3 separate times recently and had a great experience each time. The first was for a simple oil change and they were fast, friendly and cheaper than the oil change chain shops. The second time was for my brakes. I didn't know what needed to be done to them and if I was told that I needed a brake overhaul I woulda gone along with it. Instead of raking me over the coals The Lube Center inspected my brakes and determined they just needed to be adjusted and cleaned. On top of that they bled the brakes on the house. The job turned out to be way cheaper than I expected to pay. The third time I came in was for my brake light switch. My brake lights were staying on even though the switch had been adjusted as far as it could be. TLC gave me an estimate for replacing the switch and I left the Jeep for them to work on. When I came back an hour and a half later Brent (the manager) told me that they inspected the switch and realized it didn't need replacing and just needed to be cleaned and adjusted. This time the job was $23 under the estimate. I totally trust these guys and the shop itself isn't a bad place to hang out in while you wait. There are 3 computers connected to the internet for customers to use and free coffee and a drink vending machine. I absolutely recommend this place. read more

They have free coffee and water in the waiting area. Also free internet. And the guy didn't try to sell me tons of things that I don't need. Like everyone else, I decided to try this place out because of the reviews and was not disappointed. They were fast, efficient, nice, and honest. There was fresh coffee and donuts, and the lobby was immaculate. One yelper said the owner was racist but there were a lot of different people there this morning, including employees, and not everyone was white - I'm pretty sure he's not racist. I have a newer car and have only taken it to the dealership to have it serviced. Not anymore. I felt these guys were much more honest and easier to deal with. AND I was done in 15 minutes? Long time Yelp reader, first time reviewer. AND I created my Yelp account on one of the computers with free internet access in Lube Center's waiting room. So bonus points right off the bat. I had a cup of coffee and used the bathroom and when I came out, my car was ready to go. Quick and friendly service and cheap. I used to go to the Jiffy Lube a few block over, but was sick of their attempts to up sell me on services I did not need. None of that went on at Lube center. I will come back and give the place a full 5 stars if I ever need anything greater than an oil change, assuming that all goes according to plan. read more

All the other reviewers commented on how nice the loby was, but i enjoyed sitting outside on a nice bench in front of the shop. I've only been living in California for a little over a year now, and while out here I purchased my first new car. So of course when it comes to a new car, I want to make sure I take the best care of it I possibly can. I asked a few friends at work what they recommended and I got all different places. So this morning I hopped on Yelp and looked for oil change centers nearby. And sure enough I found this! It had all 4 and 5 star reviews, I couldn't believe it. I was actually telling myself, "No, there's no way. Really?" So I drove down to check it out. As soon as I pulled up, Brent walked out and greeted me and invited me inside for refreshments and took my car in. Immediately I was impressed. He was incredibly nice and honest with me. I sat in the lobby which is very clean and organized unlike a lot of shops you see. And like I said, I have a new car so I kept an eye on it while they were working on it from afar, and they were very gentle with it. Even the shop floor/room was insanely clean! As were all the service guys. No a drop of oil anywhere on them or in their shop. I have never seen a place like this where I'm from! They changed my oil, let me know what kind they put in, changed all my filters, cleaned my windshield, and even inflated my tires, for an AMAZING price! I couldn't believe it when Brent rung me up at the counter. For all their hard work and care, I would have paid twice as much! I made sure to tell them that I'll be coming to his shop for now on. These people are WONDERFUL! They are honest, hard working guys, who truly value you and your car. You'd be crazy if you didn't at least visit them once. read more

Not only do they fix your car, but they also take it to the next level. How? You may ask. They greet and fix your automobile with an attitude my mother would be jealous of.
