A friend of mine recommended Lube Masters to me when I asked for some recommendations on Facebook. I'm typically pretty mistrustful of auto maintenance places because I feel like they either will try to upsell me, or will tell me something is urgent (when it's not) because I'm a woman and I can easily be fooled (guess again). I was very happy with the service at Lube Masters, though. The service I got was very friendly, and I was done in less than 20 minutes. Talk about a place that's gone downhill. I guess there has been an ownership change or something over the past couple of years. The service, prices, and quality of work was all top notch and now it's completely the other direction. The staff is either unfriendly or completely shitty. For the price they are charging they should be checking and topping off everything but they will not do it unless you ask or point something out. I used to go out of my way go to here and would recommend people do the same but now I'd say you are better off rolling the dice anywhere else. This is a hard avoid. read more

After years of coming to this business, I was severely disappointed today by the lack of service by "Eddie". I was waiting in line in my car for several minutes when I saw Eddie walk past me and get into a vehicle to get serviced. Then another vehicle pulled up, and Eddie walked right past me AGAIN and got into the car that had just pulled up. Even the owner of the vehicle after me commented that I was first. When I confronted Eddie and asked him, "did you not see me sitting there?" His response was, "yeah, so what?" I'm not joking, that's actually what he said. Shocked, I said, "you just lost my business." Then, on the way out when I mentioned I had been a customer for years, he said, "who cares??" Wow. Absolutely mind numbing. The outright lack of unprofessional attitude from Eddie is inexcusable. He clearly doesn't care about his job or the customers. I have been a customer for over 25 years at this particular establishment. However, I will no longer have any of my cars serviced there due to rude and unprofessional customer service by Eddie "Ed". This place has never had the best customer service, but it was convenient being the only quick oil change place in Eagle Rock, so I would put up with unprofessionalism. After my last oil change there, I found out that they stripped my oil drain bolt during my last service there. When I explained to Eddie what accord, he became very rude and discourteous. Ten minute oil change?!? Yes please! Lube masters is tucked away under the 2. I actually almost missed it and had to go around the block. (...so, I guess I did miss it.) I pulled up, and my car was immediately taken off of my hands. I sat in the waiting area which has two benches, coffee and tea, and a soda machine. I expected to get some reading done while there, but in almost no time I was being handed my receipt and escorted to my car. Plus they filled up my window wash fluid! He took his new truck in for an oil change, but didn't realize he had synthetic oil that doesn't need to be changed as often as he thought. Ed, the man who helped him, was extremely friendly and had great honesty and integrity and informed him that it was too soon to change the oil and to come back in x amount of miles. I'm a couple days late of originally wanting to rite my review , but I felt this had to be shared. i went with my girlfriend to get an oil change and I was greeted by Tony (really great customer service ) they got started on our car, and one thing that made me really wanna post this is , Tony came up to us and said that he noticed a little tire bubble on our front right side tire. He explained how his significant other has a car similar to ours and how those r common. He let us know that we should try and get it changed as soon as possible because it looks like at anytime it can blow out the tire. Now i'm thankful he said that,but even more because Later on that day Me, my girlfriend , and my daughter were going to take a tape trip to Arizona , and if it wasn't for Tony noticing that on our tire and telling us rite away, lord only knows what could have happened on the car ride there. They were super fast and friendly! I think I was there a maximum of 15 minutes, they changed my oil, topped off my fluids, put air in tires. They even let me know to keep an eye on my power steering fluid in case I have a leak. All in all I spent $35. I have (unfortunately ) been going to Eagle Rock Lube Masters for almost nine years for oil changes and I just found out that approximately every other oil change here was a complete scam. They weren't changing my oil at all! Yet, they were charging me for it! Here is how I discovered their subterfuge: Recently, a professional mechanic (who is family of a good friend) changed my oil and filter as a favor. He was horrified, as I was, to see how filthy the old oil and oil filter was, even though I religiously get my oil changed every 5K miles (which is the way to ensure a long lasting engine- I grew up with mechanics and know the basics- which shows that even those in the know can get scammed). This professional mechanic told me that it had been at least 10K (!) miles since the last oil change- though I had my receipt and my window reminder showing me I had supposedly gotten it changed 4K ago at Eagle Rock Lube Masters!!! It all makes sense now- every other change at Eagle Rock Lube Masters went super quickly and they could never get my 'change oil soon' light to turn off approximately every other visit here because they weren't changing my oil at all! The sensor was not randomly defective as they claimed- they were! I've heard that this particular scam happens to a lot of women customers especially, and as this place performs oil changes in an area underneath the car, it is hard to see them at work. After this disaster, which could have potentially ruined my engine, I will ALWAYS watch the mechanic drain the old oil into the pan and watch them physically change the oil filter. You should too! Eagle Rock Lube Masters- you own me at least $150 bucks and the BBB will be getting a full report about this scam. Shame on you!!! Get your workers in check and figure out who is worth keeping and who is taking money without doing the work if you want to keep your business reputation intact! read more

I found this place using Google, where all of the reviews were fantastic. I should've checked Yelp as well. I called for a price quote, and they told me it would cost $40 for my car's year and make. It seemed better than Valvoline, so I decided to try it. While I watched as they checked everything and changed my oil, I just wish that the guy on the phone told me that there was also a labor charge on top of the $40. Yes, I know I ought to know the general costs of an oil change, but I've always had my mechanic tag it on to whatever service he was doing, so I never paid attention. Labor is $25, so my total was $67.63. While I know the price on the whole is probably good, I still need to be told in advance what I'm paying. I'm unemployed and on a tight budget until my job can figure out this Covid stuff. read more

I needed major repairs on my car. So my brother looked up a few mechanic places and came across Lube Master. The young man who was working on my car was Cam. He was a great guy who explained everything in normal talk not mechanic talk which was perfect since I don't know much about cars. He even answered all my annoying questions and all of my brothers questions.
