I'd give only one star if it was for the girl who answers the phone. She was very nice and accommodating. Otherwise, I have nothing good to say. I placed an order for delivery that was 30 minutes late. The pizza was burnt, not hot and the cheese was stuck to the lid of the box. The man I spoke to on the phone who I was told was the boss argued with me over the delivery time and refused to give me a credit. He insisted that I give him the pizza back and he would give me a new pie. The delivery person came and took the old pie and gave me a new one. My hairdresser recommended Luca's as her favorite pizza place in the area, since trying them out I have become a regular myself. The chicken alfredo pizza is a must have. It's a saucy mess but so so good! Their fries are the absolute best around - crunchy and beer battered - ask for the fries in a separate open container to keep its freshness, otherwise in the Styrofoam it can start to get soggy. The chicken parm and sausage, egg and cheese sandwiches are also very good. The cheesesteaks in my opinion aren't cheesy enough (american), but my boyfriend likes them (with wiz). Luca Pizza used to be in the Woodhaven Shopping Center, next to the movies, where Champ's is now. I haven't been there since it moved to its new location down Bristol Pike, but that's because they had the worst pizza ever. It was like rubber. Hard to bite, gross sauce, not melted cheese. I work near Luca and the one thing I look for when i order for lunch is quick and easy, don't mess up my food kind of lunch. I order quite often from Luca and they have never messed up my order once. My favorite are usually the tomato pie and buffalo pizza. The food quality does not separate itself from other pizza place but the personnel is always friendly. Saw rave reviews of this place on a local Facebook group and decided to check it out. Ate in and ordered a pie. Loved it! The dough was crispy on the outside and chewy on the inside and had a great flavor to it. The sauce and cheese and toppings were delicious. I have to say that the pizza is decent but more than once I have had issues with wrong orders upon pick up as well as delivery. When you call, instead of admitting their error they give the customer the third degree then place you on hold so long that we end up going there to resolve it. There is no apology nor exchange of food. If there is a price difference they charge every penny of it. They are clearly quite disorganized and really have no desire to keep a customer.i know quite a few who have stopped patronizing the establishment and we have just joined that list! read more

Not what it used to be. When you are dealing with locals who grew up in the area you must remain consistent. The only consistency here is their quality and service have been steadily declining. When they moved from Woodhaven mall years ago they dropped some in friendly service and quality. Lately its hard to get anything worthwhile here. "Advertised specials" in window usually come with a loophole so they don't apply to you, and they get ANGRY with you when you try and talk to them about it. Ordered from Luca recently about 4 times within the last 2 months or so. Me and my wife's favorite is a onion pizza. Well the first one we got was overpacked with onions and they were almost full length, but even worst is was extremely soggy and just wet! I know onion pies can be a bit on the wet side but this was over the top, uneatiable. We tried again and it got better then again and better again. But it's still hit or miss. Never tried anything else. There price delivered to my door 4 miles away for 1 large pie with onions was almost $19! That's just crazy. An experience like no other! Just order a pizza to be delivered to my friend's house. His recommendation. Looking forward to this half chicken parmigiana half plain pizza. He's in my ear telling how good they are. They said 30 mins for delivery. Getting anxious walking around waiting for it to come. Bam! getting a call. Delivery man is outside. Go outside don't see him. He's down the street. I say "Yo" to get his attention. He comes to give me my pizza. Says something about the address. Told him the store got it wrong. He tells me to call the store to fix the address. Not worried about that I want to eat. Get inside look at the pizza. Oh no! Its half buffalo half plain and its not that warm. Call back. Tell them I ordered a half chicken parmigiana half plain. They said oh yea we misheard you. We will send another one out. Say no more. Threw out the other pizza cause I don't want no buffalo and at this point it's cold. Looking forward to that chicken parmigiana. 20 minutes later. Getting a call. It's the store. Luca's pizza is solid, however I can't speak for any other menu items. I ordered a bunch of pizzas on a Saturday night for a 7pm party and asked the counter person if they could set the delivery for a specific time--I had given them an hour and a half notice in case business picked up. I asked the counter person twice during the order if this was okay and reasonable and she said it was fine. The delivery guy knocked on my door an hour early. The counter person never wrote a note on our bill and my request wasn't honored. It was a very frustrating and disappointing experience after dropping a decent amount of cash and providing my guests rubbery pizza.
