While the food itself was good, the service we experienced was extremely disappointing and unacceptable. We were seated at 9:00 PM and repeatedly asked our server, Nikolas, if we could place a food order. Despite asking three separate times, he walked away to assist other tables instead. Our order was not taken until 10:00 PM, and the first drink did not arrive until then either. When dessert was finally served, the gelato was oddly chunky and unpleasant in texture. We requested to speak with a manager, but after waiting 30 minutes, we were told he was in a meeting at 11:00 PM at night. Another man eventually appeared but did not introduce himself or attempt to resolve the situation--he simply left after hearing our concerns. To make matters worse, our server returned and argued with us at the table. A grown man debating with a table full of women about our experience was both unprofessional and disrespectful. Instead of feeling valued as guests, we felt overlooked and dismissed, and even made to feel as if we were being dishonest. We stayed at this hotel for three nights and had wonderful service everywhere else, which makes this experience stand out all the more negatively. This level of service is unacceptable for a restaurant within an otherwise reputable establishment. And to close nikolas came to the table with 10 full checks with everyone's meal on all 10 checks to be funny and handed us highlighters. read more

I was just here last weekend on a Saturday night. We went to the restaurant and ordered to-go. We were never greeted or even guided to the right person to order. The staff actually tried to avoid eye contact so they wouldn't have to service us. Unluckily for some staff member, they got approached by us. Even as we tried to order, their staff remained rude and dismissive. For the dismissive and poor service we got, we left a small tip and felt rightfully so bc THERE WAS NO SERVICE from this miserable and entitled lot. Thank goodness it wasn't these guys who cooked our food. If I could have handed our full tip to the cooks, we would have done that instead. The food was decent but it could have tasted better if we weren't so turned off by their pitiful staff. After receiving NO real service from their staff, they had the nerve to ridicule us on how little tip we gave by trying to shame us. This must be a reflection of their leaders and MGM as a whole. This place was at the back of MGM. The dining is a la cart and quite pricey for one place. I normally order spaghetti and meat sauce but thought I'd try something different. We made a reservation and was seated promptly. The waitress was polite and went over menu items. Most of the pasta dishes are JUST pasta, no meat. She did say the pasta is made fresh there so that's good but I didn't feel like the price justified the food. We received the little crunchy pretzels with sauce and they were okay. We also ordered the friend calamari appetizer and that was delicious, loved that and it was plenty for 3 people. My sister ordered the short rib meat dish and she liked it and I ordered a pasta dish. The chicken parm does not come with any pasta but you can add a SIDE of spaghetti for $16. The food wasn't bad it just wasn't worth the price, TO ME. It was delicious but for $30 I definitely was looking for more "gourmet" type flavors. While I appreciated the amount of pepperoni's, the math just wasn't mathing for the price I paid. Arrived on a Tuesday night as a party of three without a reservation. The hostess said we could sit at a high top table in the bar with no wait. Simone was our server. We ordered bottled water for the table and also drinks. They asked if we had any food allergies or special requests. One of our guests is vegan so they pointed out the vegan options on the menu which were all side dishes so we ordered all those as well as the focaccia without parmesan. One of the pasta entrees was vegan friendly so they ordered that. We ordered chicken Marsala and the salmon. Food was delicious and served promptly. The food was delivered by a runner that knew our order and didn't have to auction off our entrees. Due to the generous portions and five side dishes, our table did not order desserts. After three coworkers bragged on this place for pizza in the MGM, I decided I'd try it. I had the mushroom pizza and shot honey themed pizza. The mushroom was the best. Both were decent, better than a chain. Neither were stellar though. Other than being one of cheaper places and the walk up connivence, I didn't see the reason for a 5th star. My dining experience at Luchini was pretty fantastic. I went last minute and didn't have a reservation but was able to get a nice booth in the middle of the dining room. The dining room is really dark but I really enjoyed the vibe - lots of energy and had a warm and cozy feel to it. Not stuffy or arrogant. Service was excellent. Our service team (2 people) were on it! Checked in regularly, were communicative, and made sure the dining experience was perfect. Food? I enjoyed (almost) everything that I tried: Grandma's Meatballs - tender in a delicious marinara Frito Misto (fried shrimp, calamari, zucchini) Chilean Seabass Piccata - delicious and buttery fish. Salmon with Clams - perfectly cooked fish and flavorful combo. Pizza (pepperoni) Pizza Capricciosa (prosciutto cotto, mushrooms, artichokes, olives) Dessert: Torta Al Cioccolato (Chocolate Cake) - AMAZING! Apricot Meringa Cake - this was the only thing that I did not care for. I loved the meringue and cake but did not care for the apricot inside. An apricot jam or preserves would probably be better - but that is just me! It's a cool looking dessert though! The leftover pizza that I took home reheated well in the air fryer. The dough is so good - fluffy on the inside and crisp on the outside. I will definitely be back. Located in the MGM grand. Stopped here for a quick lunch. They have several slice options for pizza available. Slices range from $8-$12. Pizza was decent. Nothing too spectacular. But it'll get the job done. Service was ok, felt kinda rushed with picking out a slice, there was one other person in line. Once you pick a slice it is re-heated (takes about 5-7 minutes). They have a back dining area very quaint where you can go and indulge in your slice. Condiments are readily available. Hostesses were really nice. Waiter was nice enough, a little snooty. My daughter and I are vegetarians and my husband eats a Mediterranean diet, not a lot of meat. We often get looked at as though we're cheap cuz we get a bunch of pasta dishes, so maybe it's just us. Instead of bread, they give you bread sticks. Looks cute, but they were kind of bland. Ravioli is good, it's cleverly made and served as a whole sheet. Rigatoni al pesto is decent, garlic overpowers the flavors of the basil. Penne alla Rossa was tasty. Very spicy, be careful if you can't handle heat. We'll be back. We stay at MGM Grand often and not a lot of places vegetarians can eat well. read more

Luchini has just opened but it's already hitting on all cylinders. I wasn't expecting much from this new place, but it was a delightful surprise. Service was great and the food was all very good. The breadstick/modern art lagniappe thing isn't delicious and I'm hoping by the time I write this, they have done away with it and have started providing a proper bread basket. So enough said about all that. We started with the "Spiedini alla Romana", which is like the worlds best most decadent garlic bread. It's frankly TOO good. It's too much for two people. You really just need a few delicious bites and you're good. More than that and you're too full for your dinner. And you don't want that. My partner had the "Short Rib Lasagna Pinwheels", which were highly recommended and without a doubt the star of the meal. I couldn't stop stealing bites from his plate. Absolutely delicious and you must order or share this. We also ordered a side lobster tail but that wasn't at all necessary or even near the best part of the meal. You can skip that... the lily is gilded enough already. I had the "Reginette alla Calabrese" which was really good, but I was already full from that amazing Spiedini all Romana and also stealing bites of the Lasagna pinwheels. We ordered too much but it was all so good. The only thing we didn't care for - the music. It's almost all rap and it just seems so out of place. It's like they are trying to make this nice Italian restaurant into a nightclub. We asked our server about it and he confirmed our suspicions - owned by TAO, Luchini's music is a corporate decision and meant to invoke the TAO name. That it does. Not in a good way though. This space at MGM Grand always seems to have new restaurants come and go quickly so we were anxious to try Luchini's. Made a dinner reservation and didn't wait long until we were seated. Decor is interesting to me; nothing screams out that this is an Italian restaurant but it's perfectly ok. Good amount of booths and tables. Drinks were good. Their complimentary breadsticks were round and crunchy, in a good way, to get your appetite going. Started with a Caesar salad which was really good, not overly dressed. We also ordered the lamp chops, cavatelli bolognese, and shrimp scampi. Everything tasted great. They mistakenly brought a vanilla gelato with chocolate crunchy bits and chocolate shavings to our table which was tasty and a nice way to end the meal. Overall I thought it was good for the first time into the restaurant. Would like to go back and try some of their other pastas and fish dishes. read more

We had our last big meal of the trip Saturday night here at 7:30pm.; glad we made reservations through OpenTable. Spiedini alla Romana appetizer was amazing. The bread had a perfect crisp to it and the lemon butter and cheese sauce with capers was superb (5/5). The three of us all shared the Seafood Fra Diovolo (3/5). It was loaded with two lobsters tails, shrimp, clams, calamari, mussels, and tomato. The linguini noodles were perfectly cooked and the sauce had just a little heat to eat but the sauce and seafood lacked flavor. Our side of fresh spinach was meh. Service was ok, food is just a little disappointing other than the Spiedini bread appetizer. I'd recommend looking elsewhere for Italian. read more

We came here because we were going to a concert nextdoor at the Garden and it seemed like the most decent restaurant close to it. I was certain they served pizzas from the photos I had seen but unfortunately they didn't. We ordered the garden salad, focaccia, and some pastas. All were fine but unremarkable. The prices were sky high for a meal eaten out of convenience. It cost the same as a meal at Carbone which is a bucket list meal compared to this one. If we had more time/flexibility we definitely wouldn't go here and probably won't be back. We ordered burrta and the tomatoes that came with it were cut against the vein and it was rough to eat. The eggplant parm was the biggest disappointment, very under done and so so hard to eat.
