    Biscuit gravy gumbo
    Ankita P.

Came on a Saturday morning expecting a wait, were seated right away for a party of 4. The service was fast and the food was so unique. It was my first time trying Cajun/Creole food and not to sound dramatic but I feel like I have been opened to a whole new world. My party orders: beignet, Shrimp po'boy, biscuits and gravy w gumbo, gumbo, and eggs Jennifer. All were solid items and we cleared our plates. If you're having trouble choosing I would recommend that gumbo. I'm not sure if it was the rainy day or circumstances but a bite of that gumbo felt like a warm hug. The interior was cute too, like a house. There was an upstairs waiting area with AC which im assuming is used during the summer wait time. I will definitely be back here, typing out this review has me drooling.

Tasty and very homey place for brunch! The portions are large and very filling, so it's definitely a heavier meal. Tried the beignets, biscuit that comes with most entrees, eggs new orleans, and the creole omelette. All were pretty tasty, with my favs being the beignets and fluffy biscuit.

This restaurant is a must visit when in Boulder. I felt transcended to the south. Food, service and wonderful hospitality and atmosphere. We will be back!!

This is my absolute favorite Lucille's location. The food is great, it really takes me back to New Orleans! Everything from the eggs New Orleans to the blackened salmon and creole omelette. Just delicious. The staff is also very friendly! In particular Nikki goes out of her way to be friendly and engaging. CeCe and Shaylee are also very welcoming and nice. The ambiance is pure home style New Orleans. Reminds me of spots in the Marigny neighborhood. Well done!

Stopped here during a road trip and we do not regret it! The service was prompt and the ambiance of the restaurant is very unique (the place is designed like a house so I essentially had to walk through someone's bed room to get to the bathroom lol). We all had breakfast items and it was great across the board. I had the Cajun Breakfast w/ a side of a andouille sausage and it was awesome. We also had some beignets (warning: we were absolutely stuffed as a result) that were fantastic.

We absolutely love this restaurant. As someone who grew up frequenting NOLA, I love finding such authentic creole/cajun food so close to home! I got the gumbo, it was incredible. Their biscuits and jam are out of this world! Service is always great, parking can be spotty on a busy day, but totally worth it! Can't wait for our next visit!

    Breakfast

Nice late breakfast, potatoes, eggs and sausage - really good. And then I managed to squeeze in 1 beignet (yes you can buy just 1!). Great vibe, New Orleans jazz on the stereo and friendly service - a must visit if you're in Boulder.

We absolutely loved coming here! This was my first time and it was a sweet first time. The restaurant is in a house and there are seating everywhere. There were also seats outside. If it were to be busy, it would be harder to be seated right away for I feel like it is a little limited. But overall, we did go on a Saturday morning and we did not have to wait to be seated for two. Our waitress to come to us right away and was very attentive. The tables does get cleared fast whenever dishes are being finished. Food: Gravy 4/5 -- this was great! The consistency was thick and chunky. The flavoring was really good, creamy, and a little spice to it! Shrimp and Grits 3/5 -- this wasn't a bad plate of food, I just wish there was more flavor and kick to this dish! I did enjoy this overall. Biscuit 5/5 -- the biggest and fluffiest biscuit I have had! Hands down the best biscuit. I'm very picky with my biscuits and I really enjoyed it. I had strawberry jam with mine and it was the perfect pair. The biscuits do come out fresh the oven as well! Beignets 5/5 -- these were so big, fluffy and wonderful!! Eggs Eisenhower 3.5/5 -- the potatoes seemed a little messy (but crispy and good), the eggs were great, and the sausage patty was pretty much meat smashed. Do appreciate the uniqueness Overall, I'd come here again for lunch! Food was great and homey.

Came for breakfast with friends, it was delicious. I got the gumbo and loved it. It also came with a biscuit that I took home and ate later. We were also seated really fast and the servers were very attentive to our needs.

SO good for breakfast! We visited Lucile's Creole Cafe on a Saturday morning and got seated right away, although the restaurant was very busy. They had a small (dog friendly) outdoor seating area in the front, which was basically on the street. Our server came over with menus right away, and we ordered Iced Coffee to start with. For food, I chose the Eggs New Orleans with Cheesy Grits, and it also came with a biscuit. I could write a paragraph about the biscuit alone, which was absolutely massive - I shared it between the three of us and we still didn't finish it. The taste was great and the texture was fluffy, not dry at all. The rhubarb jam was also phenomenal with it. My Eggs New Orleans was equally impressive - tasty eggplant, great sauce, perfectly poached eggs. The cheesy grits were possibly the best I've ever had, and overall this meal was just amazing. My friends loved their food as well, including the Eggs Benedict and Carlin Country. One of the best breakfasts I've had in a while - would happily return!

I heard good things about Lucile's from my boss. This is the place to go for down-home cajun breakfast. I am happy to share that my food lasted three days. Lucile's is operated out of a historic house one block north of the main downtown oval. Look for the sign by a parking meter. Go early to beat the crowd. I got a sense that the staff know how to make good food. The portions are generous. As one who was bred in the South, I'm happy to see the "caring grandma" tradition carried on. The coffee, biscuit, and main course were delightful. The one thing I'm missing is my morning newspaper (or a tablet to read one on).

No one greeted me and the servers stood in a group staring at me while saying nothing. Weird but ok. We orders the lobster claws and knuckles and when I put it in my mouth I should have spit it out like my husband did but I ate it. When we told the server Regan (who was the only normal and nice person there) a man named Patrick came over. He seemed new and nervous was very quiet and the conversation was awkward in general to be honest. But they got us different food and took the lobster off. It wasn't till hours later that I knew something was wrong and I was violently ill. I called jax the next day while I was extremely sick and got Patrick on the phone again. Conversation again was weird and there were several pauses that made me ask are "hello, are you still there?" He told me someone would call me Sunday and no call. Patrick did refund our meal. That was nice. However I missed a day of work that I could not miss, was sick all weekend and could not go to the doctors cause who can afford that? I cannot. A conversation could have been good to smooth this over. Needless to say I will not be coming back.

And I have to give a special shoutout to their biscuits and gravy... hands down, the best in all of Boulder County! They've become one of those places that we know we can always count on for a great meal and friendly service. My only wish is that they were open later so I could enjoy their food all day (and honestly, sometimes for dinner too ). If you're local to Longmont and haven't tried them yet, definitely add them to your breakfast/brunch rotation! Such a gem in the community.
