Cute spot, worth a visit! This is a nice local spot! Parking is extremely difficult. I went during the early morning, and could not find any parking spaces without a long walk. The service was average, nothing that stood out but 1 friendly cashier. The menu was stacked with breakfast options, deserts, and boba. I tried their eggs, pancakes, deserts being their Strawberry & Pineapple turn over along with their iced latte. The food felt reheated, and lacked a sense of freshness, pancakes were dry and I had to drown them in syrup to make due. Their standout for me was their iced latte, it's different than the basic American coffee and I really enjoyed it and thought about it throughout my day. The restaurant is a clean small space! Easy to order and nothing that stands out about appearance. They had Christmas music playing and door open for fresh air, it was definitely a vibe. If you cannot make it home from the holidays or miss home this is a very nice restaurant to be at; it reminded me of waking up to my Mother's cooking on a gloomy morning. Love love love this bakery! This is definitely a hole in the wall kind of spot that needs more attention. Their bread is fresh and tastes super delicious. I usually come here for their thai teas, bahn mi, & breakfast sandwiches but they have plenty of other menu items to choose from. The workers there are always super nice and helpful. I usually call in for my order in case it gets super busy there might be a bit of a wait, but if your first time visiting you might as well go inside to see what options they have. While attending an event at the Cow Palace, it was the closest place we could walk to from where we were. It was just a 4 minute walk because we had to walk all the way to where the gate was open. The place isn't big. Only about 16 seats. There are a number of breakfast sandwich options. Bagel sandwiches were about $7 and croissant sandwiches started at about $7.50. The plated breakfast was about $16 and $11 for breakfast burrito. They also have regular coffee for $3.50, hot chocolate for $3.50. There were other coffee options, teas, and some Boba drinks. I got a bacon, egg, and cheese croissant. It was ok. I have had tastier of the same sandwich elsewhere. But, it is a good sized sandwich. They put mayo, maybe that is what I wasn't a fan of. Friendly folk! The sandwiches are pretty good, and the Vietnamese iced coffee and Thai iced tea are both delicious. Stay away from the flaky pastries, these folks have no idea how to make a decent croissant or turnover pastry...they look the part , but are very bun like. Saying that, if you are ordering a croissant sandwich instead of a sweet croissant, maybe you'll like that it holds up, I don't like them. The menu is awesome! There are so many options. Today I'm eating the Philly cheesesteak and my partner is having lemon grass chicken. We both enjoyed our meals and as always, we get an iced Vietnamese coffee. The service is great and they are friendly and welcoming. As soon as you walk in you'll notice how clean and open it is. I was very happy when Lucky Bakery first opened. They have freshly baked bread daily that I buy to make sandwiches. They also have fresh bagels that I love or order with cream cheese and bacon. The family that owns it is super nice and local. When you walk in you could smell all of the delicious food and baked goods that they are cooking. My favorite thing to order is their fresh baked bagel with light cream cheese and bacon, or their bagel breakfast sandwich with egg, bacon and sausage. read more

He wanted a breakfast croissant specifically, so found this little spot. It's one of those neighborhood spots that people just come and go to grab a little something. We parked right in front where there was a 30 minute limit, but it's really all you need here. The worker was nice and helped with recommendations seeing as we were studying the menu. I ordered the Avocado Omelette ($6.95) while he ordered the Egg, Cheese and Ham Croissant ($6). His came out first and was nice and toasty. My order did take much longer and I ended up eating it after he was already done with his croissant. The omelette was filled with onions, mushrooms, carrots and then topped with a few sliced of avocados. The toast was buttered up with a side of jam. You can grab the condiments at their counter though. Honestly, the food was okay at best. It got the job done to get some food in our stomachs, but definitely not worth making the trip out here. I'm from out of town and I spend a lot of time (2 months) living in the Daly City area every year. I look forward to going to the Lucky Bakery because the food is great, the prices are great and the guy who runs it is awesome! Even though our group aren't locals, he treats us like we are. If there's something special we want that isn't on the menu, he and his staff will still get it for us. They've added Boba Tea (east coasters call it Bubble Tea apparently) in a decent amount of flavors. Being from the Ninth Island myself, I appreciate that they also carry spam as a meat selection. Near the Cow Palace. And good or bad, lots of SFPD frequent this place. I wanted to like this place. Why? I don't know. I like to find little places on my way to work that have breakfast stuffs. Mom and Pop type restaurants. So I stopped in and ordered the Breakfast Sandwich with eggs, cheese and bacon. There are pictures of food everywhere and that breakfast sandwich looked good. I even purchased a pork bun for later. Such a bad girl, it's not on my diet whatsoever - but oh well. The total came to $4.20, i thought wow that's cheap for breakfast. When I got into work and dived into my breakfast I was sadly disappointed that not only did it not look like the picture on the wall at all. It was so greasy and the cheese was the processed sliced cheese. I was really disappointed and saddened by my ugly greasy sandwich, so I went for the pork bun. It was also greasy. I took one bite and threw the rest away. Looking at the reviews I think I ordered wrong or had high expectations, either way I will pass next time. You just can't win them all I guess. read more

While doing business near the Cow Palace, I needed a place to grab a bite and go over some paperwork. Saw this place, checked it on Yelp, saw the 4 star average and decided to go in. There's an extensive menu of croissant sandwiches, salads, burgers, vietnamese sammies and lunch plates. I ordered the grilled chicken Vietnamese sandwich. The french roll was lightly toasted, slightly crunchy and soft. Perfect. It had a lot of flavor you'd expect from a Vietnamese sandwich (banh mi) with peppers, cilantro, shredded carrots and delicious grilled chicken. At 5 bucks, it's one of the better, tastier sandwiches I've had. The service was friendly and I love the fact that it's family owned. There are only 2 small tables and 3 larger ones that can accomodate 4 people. Any decor is lacking, but for your entertainment, there's a 46" TV playing random uninteresting programs about animals (Friday noon) This place doesn't look like much from the outside. Heck it doesn't even look like much inside either, but give it a chance! WOW! We were heading for the Cow Palace and decided to hit this place before going in. Figured it had to be better than the concession stand. What a little hidden pearl this is in the Oyster of Daly City. First of all, it is immaculate on the inside. Everything is shiny and clean. We were promptly greeted when we arrived, and we stood for a few minute in awe, just enjoying the clean surroundings and the smell of fresh bread. They had a special for the philly cheesesteak for $5.75 with fries. We decided to order 3 of them and one of the hot dog buns for $.80. After we received our items, we ordered a mango smoothie for $3.00. Lets start with the cheesesteak. The bread was awesome. Kinda reminded me of the bread on the vietnamese sandwiches (Banh?). It was sweet with a soft crust and soft yet dense on the inside. In otherwords, it didn't fall apart with the amount of cheesesteak and the heat. The steak was well cooked, but not over cooked. It was juicy but not greasy. It was accompanied by white cheese, grilled onions and peppers and a very generous side of steak cut fries. The fries were a golden crispy on the outside, with a crisp snap and a pocket of lucious potato goodness on the inside. The $.80 cent hot dog bun had 4 pieces of hot dog in a bun that was shaped like a cloverleaf. The sweet bread was a nice contrast to the salty savory hot dog. Yum! Our mango smoothie was a cup of smooth mango frozen goodness. It actually tasted like a liquid mango. Yum! This would be a regular lunch and breakfast spot for me, if I lived or worked in the neighborhood. I should have bought some rolls to take home. Drats! read more

This place was really nice...wide assortment of food on the menu i.e. breakfast, lunch, and dinner. They offered burgers, Hawaiian food, sandwiches and donuts. Most noticeable was the cafe's cleanliness and organization. There's a Subway and a McDonalds nearby. But if you don't want to go the fast food route, this cafe is a definite option. More than likely I'll stop by this place again tomorrow. I didn't order a meal, just a donut. Next time I'll try a full-fledged meal and update my rating. For now, 4 stars seems right.
