Lucky China Dunwoody's idea of proving their order was delivered!
    Online B.

We ordered online through Menufy. When the order was late we contacted Lucky China who said wait a second and hung up. We called back with same response and hang up. I was pushy on the 3rd call and they told me they had no order and hung up. I contacted Menufy who was of zero help. They called Lucky China who said they had delivered the order so no refund (See their proof of delivery pic). Menufy just said their hands were tied. (That smell you're smelling is a scam). The manager just swore at me in Spanish. They got $50 and we got nothing!

So I happened to wander in randomly because I saw it as I passed on the way to a wine bar. The venue has a very comfortable aesthetic and kind of gives off a lounge vibe (because of the couches and such). They have music in the background so it won't be silent while you dine. They had a small Small sushi bar there that you can sit at. So if you like looking at them make your food, you have a place I walked in and it was fairly empty. I sat at the table (they had plenty open) and the greeter sat me pretty quickly. As far as service goes, I had to wait for everything else aside from that. I waited for water a few times, which was inconvenient. The waitress kept apologizing because food was taking too long. There was a delay for most of the time I was there. The food wasnt too bad though. It was okay overall. Egg drop soup - It was decent, it was soup *shrug* Pork egg rolls - The pork egg rolls didnt taste like pork, but they werent bad overall. Phoenix & Dragon - Part of the dish was really good, the chicken, they were pretty solid. They had a lot of taste and flavor with them. I liked the tang and the kick. The shrimp part was only barely decent, honestly I could have just eaten the chicken. The vegetables in the shrimp were not tender to me. The shrimp part didnt have a great sauce, it was tolerable. I would probably not rush to come back.

BY GOD, READ THE REVIEWS FIRST!!! I stopped in, thinking this was a takeaway spot. I should've read the yelp reviews, fam. First, there was not a single person dining at 7:30 pm. I assumed the rain was keeping the crowds away, since it looked really nice inside (like a lounge). Second, the menu has a mishmash of Chinese, Thai, and Japanese food. Prices seemed kinda high, but I assumed it was family style dining. Boy, was I wrong. When my order was called, I received a circular container, somewhere between a quart and a pint. At that point, I knew it was downhill. Total price was $20, for a 1.5 pint size lo mein. I'm currently eating while I type this review. The meat has no flavor and it just tastes like hot noodles and onion. Lo mein is one of my favorite Am-Chinese dishes, so this was incredibly disappointing. I think they completely left out oyster sauce because it is lacking any sort of sweetness or depth. For the price, I expected this to knock me off my feet, but alas. Maybe this is the new normal to expect for mediocre food Going to just get grocery store Panda Express next time

I have been eating here for years now. The vegetables are always fresh. I literally saw a little old Asian lady snapping peas in there like my grandma used to which is why I started going there back in 2015. It's always so good. My favorite is the Pearl Bomb Roll.

It took about 5 minutes for a server to greet us. At this point I was able to ask for a physical menu. Nothing was explained about the menu or the drinks, this would have added to the overall experience. As for food, we ordered the Red Samurai Roll. This was my favorite out of everything we ordered. Very refreshing but thought the tomato was unnecessary. The spicy tuna and fresh tuna complemented each other nicely and the ponzu sauce added the right amount of sweetness that was not too powerful. Very flavorful. We ordered two other rolls, the hashtags roll and the shinobi roll. Both were more on the savory side compared to the Red Samurai roll. Personally not my favorite as the sauce on the hashtags rolls was too powerful, covering up the taste of the actual sushi and the Shinobi roll tasted strange with the seared filet mignon on top. I personally did not think this complimented each other well but this could be up to personal preference! After 3 rolls between 2 people, we still didn't really feel full so ordered the Kampachi Serrano, which was lacking a lot of flavor and the frozen ponzu sauce did not add anything to the dish. The picture online looks better than the actual dish. Lastly, we ordered the Salmon toro nigiri, salmon belly. The ambiance was very nice, low lighting, good date night spot. Twice they delivered the wrong dish to our table. I would try other sushi places in Atlanta before coming back here. For the prices, the service was not up to standard with explanations and speed. Also no refills on Diet Coke and the only options for parking are a $6 valet or self parking which is also $6. They do not validate. The Red Samurai roll was really good though and definitely the standout for me of this meal.

Law of supply and demand. But given the elevation in quality of life this establishment has provided me with across the years, I feel I owe them some good marketing through a review. If there was a sushi coefficient of freshness, quality, quantity, and cost, this place wins everyday. C= (Fr*Q*q*c) Fr: 9 Q: 8 q: 10 c: 10 C(Yokohama)= 7200 Don't get me wrong - the competition is fierce for delicious sushi (Fudo, MF sushi, Nobu, all the Omakase scenarios popping up in town). What this means is the cost (c) is way too high, giving it a low 1-5 in the equation. Also, quantity (q) is low, about 4-6. So, the resulting coefficient is very low overall. From my understanding, the fish here only comes from Japan, so it's good stuff - and they really load up the rolls (a lot of the time), and they have this deal on weekend for special rolls (25% off I think). So you do get the quality, quantity, and decent price (about $12-15 per specialty roll). The regular rolls are good too, and loaded with fish. E.g. spicy salmon/tuna. So, if you're looking to go crazy on some good sushi without restraint and without breaking the bank completely, this is your spot. family owned I believe, very nice and efficient service. What a great deal - my friends and I decided to check it out and we had a great dinner. Servers were attentive and the food came out in a timely manner. I ordered the Samurai Roll, as well as the Chicken Karaage appetizer. The chicken was sooo good - perfectly, lightly fried with sauce to dip. Tender and flavorful! The Samurai Roll was substantial and I appreciate the generosity of the roll. It was topped with salmon, and usually when rolls are topped with fish, it's usually a pretty thin slice of fish, but these slices of salmon were quite thick in my opinion. The pieces of sushi themselves are also fairly thick - it was a big bite for me to eat each piece in one. I made a reservation in advance and the staff already had my table ready even though I was a little early. The table was already dressed with menus, chopsticks, and some small plates/sauce dishes. Sake to me baby roll was definitely the best roll, the smoky rich flavor of seared salmon always hits. Sadly the Natsu roll was pretty mid, it mostly tasted of fried shrimp and none of the other flavors really stood out. I wish the crab flavor had been stronger. I have felt this way about the yellow brick road roll as well. We got a small portion of hamachi carpaccio on the house because it was our first time and it was quite good! The fish quality here is nice, nothing tastes overly fishy. Unagi San was pretty good, the tempura eel was really well cooked but I wish there was more of an eel flavor. I think the biggest detractor for the sushi here is the rice. It doesn't have a very fragrant flavor the way it does at other great sushi restaurants, and the grains themselves were a bit cold instead of being closer to body temperature. If the rice was better I'd probably rate this 5 stars, especially because of how good the service we received was. I will be back for happy hour again though!
