We ordered online through Menufy. When the order was late we contacted Lucky China who said wait a second and hung up. We called back with same response and hang up. I was pushy on the 3rd call and they told me they had no order and hung up. I contacted Menufy who was of zero help. They called Lucky China who said they had delivered the order so no refund (See their proof of delivery pic). Menufy just said their hands were tied. (That smell you're smelling is a scam). The manager just swore at me in Spanish. They got $50 and we got nothing! read more

The extra star is for the service of the waiter who usually works the lunch shift by himself. Other than that, this place is very subpar. I'll be honest, it's on my rotation for lunch because i feel like the quality of the food is worth only of lunch prices, plus location is close to my work. However what upsets me the most is that on 3 separate occasions now, they have charged me a dollar more than what was on the menu. So please make sure you are checking your bill and matching it with the menu prices. In their defense, they've adjusted it every time i brought it to their attention, but not changing it seems a little scammy to get more money from people who don't pay attention. So I happened to wander in randomly because I saw it as I passed on the way to a wine bar. The venue has a very comfortable aesthetic and kind of gives off a lounge vibe (because of the couches and such). They have music in the background so it won't be silent while you dine. They had a small Small sushi bar there that you can sit at. So if you like looking at them make your food, you have a place I walked in and it was fairly empty. I sat at the table (they had plenty open) and the greeter sat me pretty quickly. As far as service goes, I had to wait for everything else aside from that. I waited for water a few times, which was inconvenient. The waitress kept apologizing because food was taking too long. There was a delay for most of the time I was there. The food wasnt too bad though. It was okay overall. Egg drop soup - It was decent, it was soup *shrug* Pork egg rolls - The pork egg rolls didnt taste like pork, but they werent bad overall. Phoenix & Dragon - Part of the dish was really good, the chicken, they were pretty solid. They had a lot of taste and flavor with them. I liked the tang and the kick. The shrimp part was only barely decent, honestly I could have just eaten the chicken. The vegetables in the shrimp were not tender to me. The shrimp part didnt have a great sauce, it was tolerable. BY GOD, READ THE REVIEWS FIRST!!! I stopped in, thinking this was a takeaway spot. I should've read the yelp reviews, fam. First, there was not a single person dining at 7:30 pm. I assumed the rain was keeping the crowds away, since it looked really nice inside (like a lounge). Second, the menu has a mishmash of Chinese, Thai, and Japanese food. Prices seemed kinda high, but I assumed it was family style dining. Boy, was I wrong. When my order was called, I received a circular container, somewhere between a quart and a pint. At that point, I knew it was downhill. Total price was $20, for a 1.5 pint size lo mein. I'm currently eating while I type this review. The meat has no flavor and it just tastes like hot noodles and onion. Lo mein is one of my favorite Am-Chinese dishes, so this was incredibly disappointing. I think they completely left out oyster sauce because it is lacking any sort of sweetness or depth. For the price, I expected this to knock me off my feet, but alas. I'm going to keep this review short and sweet. Great location, beautiful restaurant, service is friendly, and the food is SO EXTRAORDINARILY MEDIOCRE. Chinese dishes feel like they're missing something and sushi is clearly mid-grade. Again, not bad, not dangerously low quality, not anything insulting. Just uninspired and "off" in a way that will not drive business. I urge you to please revisit your culinary program, raise prices, and use higher-quality ingredients. Waiter didn't know what nigiri was. Should have been a sign to leave. Waited more than 45 minutes for sushi! Brought my mu shu out after 15 minutes. I finished the meal and after asking 4 times when we would get the sushi we were told it was another 5 minutes. It was actually 10! Asked for a discount since at this point we had been there without food after an hour. Waiter asked the manager for a discount and came back and said they were not giving a discount. I asked to see the manager and the manager didn't have the guts to face us. BTW - we were the only people in the restaurant! They were doing a good takeout business but another guy said he was waiting over an hour for sushi and soup. He asked for his money back and he would leave without his food and they just kept dragging it out. But the restaurant looks lovely inside! This used to be a go to restaurant for Dunwoody. What is going on here?! This has always been my "go to" and the service and food have declined terribly! Tonight I dined in ordered a spicy salmon roll. What I received was NOT as described on menu. The lady wanted to argue with me, first said the menu was wrong that that was the spicy salmon roll and that it did not come with what was stated on menu. They talked loud about me with the sushi guy. Came back and told me all the items were in the roll. (I know sushi and this was not correct) then continued to talk about me. So I paid for my drink and left. I used to love this place and really wanted to enjoy this evening. Over the last several months we have continue to support being we live in neighborhood close by and this was my last time. Got takeout on Christmas Day here. $17 for one plate of masaman chicken curry and a side of steamed rice. Orders don't automatically come with rice. Order less spice than you think by one level. I got the medium and it was pretty spicy. Glad I didn't get hot. Overall, just not worth the money for what I got. It was tasty though. You have curtains at each table to ensure privacy and service are quick and accurate. I had the sizzling rice soup with shrimp, and the guys had a basil rice dish and Mongolian beef. This Chinese food is mediocre at best. The entrees are filled with prepackaged slices and slithers of carrots. Way too much I might add, very little tough chewy flattened pieces of chicken in their chicken entrees. Shrimp dishes are average. The only thing that stands out here is the terrible customer service. The person named Lily is extremely rude and loud. The prices are higher than most probably due to the location of Dunwoody, definitely not the quality of the service nor the food. Do not waste your time and money! Not impressed whatsoever. Went here off of the opinion of a friend. Ordered the Thai fried rice and added broccoli and mixed veggies. It was mushy and not good! Barely any rice and very bland!!!! Ordered regular fried chicken wings and an ordered braised. They were VERY small and unseasoned. The only thing that was decent was their cucumber salad and shrimp basil rolls, yet the roll only had one piece of shrimp, which didn't even remotely suffice for the size of the roll itself. These two items are hard to mess up anywhere you go, so I wasn't amused that they were just ok. When we went in, one of the workers were arguing with a customer over the phone in regards to what they ordered vs what they revisited. Sad to say, I am not surprised. This place is not it. I called in for a to-go order, ordered my food and at the end of the call they just said "Okay, thanks. Bye." Without giving me a time frame of pickup, which was okay because I had a bit of time to wait. The restaurant is nestled in the Kroger Georgetown Shopping Center next to Goldsberg Fine Upon arriving, the outside looks jank, but the inside is very nicely decorated in all red and black with the sushi bar lit up by a wall of bottle of wines all the way to the back. It also smelled really good (food smell). I was immediately greeted and had my payment taken. While I was waiting on the couch in the waiting area, I noticed a charging cable with three different charge cables (micro usb, usb c and iPhone charger) which I thought was convenient. I also noticed that they had some pretty sweet dine-in specials written on a mirror on the wall which were: Mom-Tues: $12/person bottomless wine Wed-Thurs: $1.5/pcs Nigiri Fri-Sat: $1.5/bottle Domestic Beer (Coors & Michelob Ultra) It took a total of 20 minutes for my food to be ready from when I called to when the bag was in my hand, not bad. I ordered had a pretty basic order of ginger salad, egg drop soup and a tuna avocado roll. The ginger dressing for the salad could have tasted better but I didn't really expect much from this restaurant. The egg drop soup was not terrible but as much flavor as others I've had. The tuna avocado roll was decent. Overall, not too shabby. I will probably return to try the other items on the menu since they have such a large menu and that bottomless wine night! read more

Lucky China is my favorite sushi spot in all of Atlanta. I don't know why I don't go here more often! The sushi choices here are plentiful and delicious. The interior is spacious and romantic with dim lighting. I love that customers can seat themselves and there's a large comfy booth against the wall with pillows surrounding them that is always my wife and I'd choice. It kinda reminds me of a hookah lounge. I've never seen it crowded, which to some might be disconcerting but I'm very thrilled about that fact. It's nice to not have to wait around. Maybe most people don't know about it since it's tucked away in the Georgetown shopping center next to a bagel shop and a nail shop. The sushi is made at the back of the restaurant where you can see it being rolled. They come out quickly and I can't stress enough how AMAZING they are. We always order a variety of rolls and try to try new ones each time. Paired with Sake and one of their yummy appetizers and you can't go wrong. Their rice is also good. On a recent Hell's Kitchen a competitor stated "Japanese and Chinese food are the same, and my one Korean friend told me that". As ridiculous as that sounds, it is no more ridiculous then these "all you can Asian" restaurants. Lucky China is a Chinese, Thai and Sushi restaurant. I had the Pad Thai, which was a very good dish, but definitely not the classic dish. It was more Chinese than Thai, but again, pretty good. My friend had Hunan Chicken which was okay. Service was okay, good lunch prices. The decor is sharp for being in a Kroger strip center. Overall not bad food, just not great. Maybe just a case of "Jack of All trades, Master of none". read more

Alright, so I went back to this restaurant with one of my friends after visiting the Balance Salon (directly across the street.) I have to say, our pepper steak dinner entree was quite delicious! My first review was only worth 3 stars because their pad thai was mediocre, however, I realized that I was dining at a Chinese restaurant so I should not have expected a better than average Thai dish. ;) Their pepper steak dinner was quite different. It was the right amount of steak strips, green peppers, red ripe tomatoes, perfectly cut white onions stir fried and served in one of their eye catching platter dishes. I highly recommend giving their pepper steak entree a try if you're craving Chinese that's not too salty, fried or over "sauced." My hat goes off to the chef on this one! read more

From the outside, looks like your typical generic strip-mall Chinese food restaurant. On entering, I was a little surprised as the decor was classier than I expected. Seemed they were trying to build a non-strip-mall ambiance. OK. Maybe this place will actually be pretty good, I thought. I've gotten take out from here twice. The first time, I got chicken fried rice. It was OK, but it was a little dry. But because it was the closest Chinese place to my new apartment, I decided to give them another chance. I decided to go with the General Tso's, because it seemed like apparently one of the things they were known for. Might as well go for what's recommended. I tried it. It was... good... not great. Better than the dry fried rice. This place is OK, but pretty much the quality I initially expected from a strip-mall place. Not particularly worth the money. Been meaning to write about Lucky China for a while. We enjoy dining here; it's a reliable neighborhood Chinese-American restaurant with good food, pleasant service and a very busy take-out business. Despite an unimpressive, hard-to-spot location at the end of a piece of strip mall, the restaurant has a surprisingly upscale interior. and the prices are very reasonable (entrees average from $8.95 - $13.95). Among our favorites: Moo Gu Gai Pan (just a tad on the bland side, though), Garlic Chicken or Beef (excellent garlic!), Princess Chicken (slightly crunchy with tasty onions) and Mongolian Chicken (pleasingly flavored). The spring rolls are yummy, the soups so-so, the Ahi Salad a curious mix of avocado and pineapple which bits of Ahi and seaweed. The menu holds plenty of dishes for all tastes, we think, and we've never had anything bad. On the other hand, we've never had our taste buds dazzled, either. So, if you're in the 'hood, drop by. And by all accounts, their delivery is quick, their pick-up ready when requested. Maybe three and a half stars covers it better! read more
