I never bothered to try the food when the previous business was here. Chinese food is generally oriented toward non-Chinese people here in the U.S.A. Most of the Chinese restaurants in town weren't worth visiting for me--too much sugar. This time, I thought I'd just buy some spring rolls or whatever, and forget about authentic food. I entered the tiny waiting area and took a look at the food up front while other people were ordering. It looked decent. The gentleman behind the counter excused himself and asked me what I would like. I ordered the House Special Fried Rice. It apparently contains various meats, fowl, and shrimp. It seems a little expensive for the quart box, but that's probably just me. It was ready surprisingly quickly. I asked for chopsticks since I didn't have any in my backpack this time. I sat at one of the cafe tables outside and was pleasantly surprised at how good it was. It's always a good idea to try food immediately. By the time you get it home, it generally isn't as good. I'm not sure whether they added soy sauce or not. It wasn't as white as when I make fried rice but it wasn't as brown as when I add Yamasa or Kikkoman soy sauce, but it was moist enough. The included packets seem to have soy sauce, but they are not exactly a first choice. The food was cooked well and tasty enough. Service was friendly and I'm sure that they mean to be in business. I hope they'll add authentic recipes, but that's not their normal clientele. The basic items will please. read more

The first time I went there two weeks ago. I had it DoorDash by the way both times. the first time it was very good. this time I ordered house chow-mien and requested extra bean spouts it didn't have hardly any bean sprouts whatsoever. And only two shrimp in the whole container. The deep fried beans and the shrimp were both so greasy. It was not appetizing. I asked for hot mustard and usually at most Chinese restaurants. My best friend and I have been here 3 times in the last couple of months and here is our review. Food tastes good and gives great portions. The choice food is a little limited and the prices have gone up. But the food tastes good our favorite is the Mongolian beef and spicy chicken! Highly recommend it! It's really cheap chinese food. They don't give as huge of portions as they used to, and prices have gone up, but quality is as bad as always. I would rather go to Hong Kong or Panda Express and get much higher quality food. The meats are kinda sketchy and full of fat skin and tendons. Sometimes the food in steam table is cold and I have to microwave it as soon as I get home. We have been going to this place for years...first Food 4 Less owned, then an outside company came in. We have always loved the food. I am not sure if the business changed hands or if they have a new cook but we ordered Beef Chow Fun (noodles were barely cooked & zero flavor), pork fried rice (dry & zero flavor), and Peking Pork (which was really sweet and sour pork..lol).
