What a little diamond in a rough! I never realized there was a hot dog place in PG and a great one at that! Live bands grate vibe and awesome food! They have indoor and outdoor seating for those warm days! Service was great and they also have ice cream Will definitely be back!

Great venue, vibe, root beer floats, and brussels sprouts. Hot dogs were okay. Dog Haus is still on top for me. Tater tots were plain. I'd go here again with friends and order the sides.

Fun live atmosphere. Here the waves in the distance. The have music and lights all outside patio which is huge. Some tables inside too. Menu is medium sized. Basically hot dogs of many sorts. The buns were soggy after 4 minutes. I recommend the gator tots. Hot dogs without all the fixings too soggy. Would give less stars but the place was alot of fun. Food not so good. Oh the shakes are excellent.

This was our second visit to Lucy's on Lighthouse and just as good as the first! Great food, great service, and a really fun atmosphere. One of our friends said, "Lucy's is so cool it makes Pacific Grove a cooler place" and honestly, what a great compliment! The vibe is surfer/skater fun and brings me back to the late 90s/early 2000s. There is a small parking lot, additional street parking, a cute enclosed outdoor seating area, long bench along the order line entrance, an order counter, and indoor seating. There are only a few larger tables indoors, but it is worth the wait if you need one. We tried a few different hot dogs, tater tots, a hard root beer float, and a milkshake. Last time I had a mocha. Nothing disappoints at Lucy's. The hotdogs are Nathan's and super juicy, the pulled pork is a little sweet and delicious topping hotdogs or tots, and the ice cream is Marianne's, which you just can't go wrong with. The owner and employees are incredibly nice, are always cleaning so the place is spotless, and they seem like really great people. I highly recommend Lucy's on Lighthouse for a mellow lunch or dinner, coffee stop, or even just dessert. We'll be back soon, and we're trying the banana split next time!

Hot Dogs galore! If you're a hot dog fan, this place is. must!! What you don't hear about is the CORN DOG!! Holy smokes! That is a hidden gem! I've had many a corn dog in my life, but this one takes the cake. The service was very fast and friendly. The relaxed vibe makes it easy to chill and chat for hours.

Still one of our fave places to visit when we come to town. We actually stayed next door at Sea Breeze and walked over each day. The Marianne's ice cream is top notch. The Illy coffee is good and the food is great. They had a celebration for their anniversary with some fun events when they were there. Live bands, hot dog eating contest, a vendor and good vibes! I love a good crunchy corn dog and tater tots. Theirs deliver in a major way. Nice crisp on the outside with a hot steamy center. The corn dogs have that nice touch of sweetness. The tater tots have that perfect crunch and soft interior. I went basic this time, but they have quite the variety to choose from. IMO it's a must stop when we come to Pac Grove.

We usually LOVE this place but had a pretty rough customer service experience today. We were not being confrontational but felt like we were being treated as such. Also felt lied to about something. Long story short, there was miscommunication on what was ordered, we were offered a swap out of a hot dog that was already cooked, never asked for a swap just offered it only to later be told no we had to pay for it. The two women working were acting like we were being confrontational and they was never our intention. Just wanted to talk the "boss" who they said told them no but wasn't even working that day'. I don't believe the customer is always right but that dosnt mean there can't be a place for a conversation. This is a place that we were loyal to and have come to on the weekends for about two years now. Still great atmosphere and great dogs but we are turned off for a while after this and don't plan on coming back any time soon.

We ordered the Dunes, Otters, Lover's Point, Wallride (tots), and Ollie (tots), along with a few drinks. The prices were reasonable for gourmet hot dogs. All of the hot dogs were cooked perfectly, and the flavor combinations were spot on. The tots were delicious--nicely crispy--and the Lucy sauce was excellent. The chili leaned a bit more toward a tomato-based flavor and was slightly tangy for my taste, but still not bad. The ambiance was cool and skater/surfer vibes. Great spot for after a surf or skate around Monterey. Aside from that, the staff was super friendly, and the overall food quality was phenomenal. We'll definitely be back to try more menu items. And a huge plus: they offer Marianne's Ice Cream, our favorite ice cream spot in Santa Cruz.

Get the Asilomar, any tater with toppings, and a milkshake and you'll be set for the rest of the day! If I were to scan the inside of Lucy's and make a wild guess where this place is located, I would 100% assume we're in Santa Cruz but little would I know this is located smack dab in Pacific Grove, close to Asilomar and the nearby golf course. A hidden gem in the Pacific Grove neighborhood, Lucy's is a perfect hot dog spot that's far from all the tourist traps you see in Canary Row. You'll get some of the best hot dogs topped with amazing toppings--from avocado, grilled onions, pulled pork, it's a beautiful mess that you'll be craving for more once you're finished. Lucy's also has a variety of tater tot sides and as well as their signature Dick Verde, which is a glazed, grilled Brussel sprouts that is amazing. They also have a large dessert options as well, from milk shakes and soft serves to dirty desserts with alcohol as well. Service here is such a chill environment from all of their staff and the owner, a laid back skater vibe that matches the relaxing beach atmosphere you'd see in Santa Cruz. They have live performances from time to time that sing in the outside seating with spacious seating all around to enjoy your food with. Price-wise, of course you'll be spending around 10 or more for a hot dog but it's a very good quality hot dog in my opinion that was worth the price. Lucy's is a perfect spot for enjoying premium hot dogs that's perfect for any age. Whether it be a quick meal, a date, or simply a catch up with friends, you'll definitely have fun trying Lucy's out so be sure to give this place a try.

Lucy's On Lighthouse is probably the coolest spot on the Peninsula with the surf and skate decor and attitude along with delicious and original spins on the simple hot dog. Owner, Jolene, is a hoot and so sweet! She has the best staff - just super friendly people all around. You order at the counter, grab a number and have a seat either inside or outside in their patio if weather permits. Usually the wait is not too long before one of the friendly servers delivers your food. Tots are always crispy, never greasy. The dogs are great - so many options, but I just love the Spanish Bay (bacon wrapped dog, gaucamole, nacho cheese, tomatoes, onions and grilled jalapeno) so I tend to get that one more often. This visit my husband went with the Cliff House, but subbed a Polish sausage. It was topped with sauerkraut, pickle relish and mustard. Both delicious, but I really liked the Polish sausage. These dogs are loaded. I always need a knife and fork to get through it else I would probably be wearing my toppings. Generous portions for sure! During the summer months, they have live music on the patio outside which definitely draws a crowd. So much fun! They do serve wine and of course beer as well as coffee drinks. They also have Marianne's ice cream and will serve a Mermaid Mimosa (a scoop of pomegranate sorbet served with bubbles in a goblet. Such a fun spot! Definitely recommend a visit if you have not been.

This one of the best places we stopped at on our trip to have a bite! It was a great price for everything we got! I got the basic corn dogs and they were the best I've ever had! My husband got bbq hot dog, I forgot its name, but he absolutely loved it! The tater tots didn't last between us either. We were so happy to find this place and have a great dinner!

Lucy's is a must-visit spot every time I come to stay with my parents in Monterey. Their gourmet hot dogs and loaded tots and are always amazing. As an Arizona resident, I appreciate and have enjoyed their Sonoran dog spinoffs , but my go-to order is the Dunes dog with onions, light on the mustard. It's a huge portion, but always delicious. We have some very tasty hot dog options in Tucson, but nothing quite like Lucy's. read more

This place makes great Hot Dogs. They use Nathan's hot dogs. The only bad things is while eating your Hot Dog you feel like something is missing.. No Chips, No Fries, No Onion rings, Nothing to go with your Hot Dog. Cole Slaw has no liking here most throw them away as I watched them do it... Its like going for a drive with no car. They do have Tater Tots. Which is like frozen nuggets in a microwaved and soggy not crunchy. Corn Dogs are Frozen so you cant go wrong there. Ice cream is a winner here for sure. Its probably the only thing you can look forward to at the end of the meal. But sill at the end you still feel like your missing that Salty Crunch that you would get with Chips or Fries. They said that if they had fries they just don't want to deal with the grease. SO.. ADD SOME CHIPS PLEASE. Bring your own with you when you go. Do you think they'd ever listen if you suggested adding chips or something salty to go with the hot dogs? Or are they kind of set in their ways? read more

While staying at a nearby hotel, I decided to stop by this restaurant for some Glizzy action! I checked out their website, and there were a couple of options for a hot dog and fries combo. I get to order and asked for the hot dog and fries combo and the waitress said there were none. I didn't argue the point. The restaurant gave off 60's-70's coastal diner vibes. Cost: $20 for a hotdog and fries. I got a water. Inflation I tell ya. read more

I want to see this place succeed. They do a lot for the community and host some excellent live music. But the food lately has disappointed me. It's rarely served hot, but fried Brussels sprouts that have been sitting for God knows how long and served at room temperature are not appealing. And the Wallride (tots covered in chili and fixins) I got not too long ago was lukewarm and barely had any chili. I guess in the future I'll eat before I go there and limit myself to ice cream and/or adult beverages. One more note--some additional heat lamps would be nice. It rarely gets hot in PG. read more

Food was alright, I wish it had been served a little warmer. The Brussels sprouts in balsamic were over done and held a lot of the cooking oil, I feel like they tried to put more balsamic to hide it. Service was good, I had my toddler with me so putting in an order quick is necessary, we waited till the people in front of us were done with their conversation. I love the California vibe of this place! Decorated with various old surf and skateboards, I am reminded of Santa Cruz in the 1990's. My son got a basic hotdog which he loved. We both got milkshakes which were good. Everything came quickly and there is indoor and outdoor dining. Dogs are allowed! Casual and limited menu, more for a snack and a beer. Hip surf/skate atmosphere. Very clean. The food was good, EXCEPT for the chili. It doesn't taste like hot dog or coney chili at all. It was as if you tasked an Italian with no knowledge of diner/chili dog culture to make chili: overly sweet and tomato-y. I hope they get a proper chili for the dogs/fries/tots. read more

So we placed an order as their hours said they were open today and their online ordering was also still on, so we ordered. When we go to pick up, nobody's inside and their phones aren't set up to leave a voicemail either. We love their food, but cmon. turn your online ordering off if you're going to be closed, update your hours, and leave a note on the door if you're closed on a regularly scheduled day. read more

I read some reviews and was amazed at how silly some are. What is a healthy hot dog place? Why would you expect a burger at a hot dog place? I think people like to complain. I was biking with hubby, found the place, tried it, was pretty good imo. Was a hot dog place, we had a hot dog , was exactly what was expected. And they had a band on the patio. Staff was fine, no issues. I did 4 star cos while it is good and fine I can't go exceptional for a hot dog, yet. I am tho planning to go later today so I might revisit my review read more

Staff are friendly and work fast. It's nice and bright inside the restaurant but also has some really nice outside seating. The food is okay. I didn't try a hot dog, but I did have 2 kinds of tater tots. I had the one with pulled pork, the other was the one with chili. The chili is okay. The pork was a little dry, so I asked for more sauce. They have a lot of fun options on their menu, so I'd like to go back a try some different ones. This stop is great to just hang out for a quick bite to eat. We were super hungry after driving the 17mile rd. A lot of the other places in the area look very classy and are on golf courses, so this one was perfect for us. read more

If you're known for your hot dogs, then you don't know your hot dogs. Cold, stale bun, average condiments, except for the sauerkraut - it was excellent. And the cold beer was great to wash that awful dog down! Other people were enjoying their ice cream, maybe I'd come back for that! read more

Lucy's is always a great spot to get a great meal. My fiancé and I love their hotdogs. The owner is super sweet and she always comes and checks which is nice to have attentive people. The food was just as good as we remembered. I got a macaroni and cheese with grilled onions on top of a bacon wrapped dog while he got one with chili and nacho cheese! This was my second time trying Lucy's, and it's growing on me. The food is comforting and satisfying and I love the silly food names. It's mainly staffed by teens, who aren't super warm, but the food at atmosphere makes up for it! I definitely want to bring my nephew by, I'm sure he would love it. And oh! I definitely wish it was open more, but I guess the weekends make sense for the vibe. read more

I'm not a huge hot dog person, but this place looked fun, so I thought I'd stop in. My hubby had a chili dog and I had a veggie dog. Both were tasty. I wish they'd told me, or posted on the menu, that veggie dogs were more money. I'm not sure how much more: they first charged me an extra $2.00, then another extra $1.50. I pointed that out to the person behind the counter, and they returned $2.00 to me. So I assume a veggie dog is an extra $1.50, but ask. I also had an affogato. The espresso was fresh, and the vanilla ice cream was good. Overall, cute environment, good dogs, a bit high priced in my opinion, but still a nice experience. read more

Just came here for the dick verde (yummy glazed brussels to fill me up). They may be known for their hot dogs, but I'm giving them 5 stars for their sides alone, and of course the laid back setting and more than sufficient service. They have quirky and colorful decor inside, surfboards and skateboards, also lining the fencing around the spacious patio. Beach chairs, picnic tables, and more for seating, relaxing music with songs like Tom Petty's Free Fallin' playing through the speakers, and a dedicated parking lot as well as street parking available right in front. Me and my wife went here on Sunday because my wife was told by a coworker about it. I have driven by here several times over the years and never realized it was here. The selection of hot dogs and tots was amazing. I had the Reef without onions and my wife had the GhostTree. We both agreed they were amazing but my only issue is the chili is too salty. I loved the Lucy Sauce. Other than that I will be returning to try others on the menu. read more

Lucy's on Lighthouse was an incredible find! It was walking distance from our hotel, and we ended up loving it. We stumbled across it on Saturday morning right as they opened at 11. While they don't do breakfast, we thought, why not? -- a hot dog for breakfast sounded rad. The coffee was awesome, the hot dogs were even better, and the tots were incredible. We got to hang out with our friend, his two dogs, and our own pup--so it was literally hot dogs and dogs all around. The vibes were great, casual, and welcoming. The owner was incredibly attentive and friendly, which made the experience even better. Highly recommend this spot if you're in the area! read more
