Good ice cream with a nice concept. Not overly sweet! Service was quick and kind. Definitely has trendy items that are good. However, they do use AI for their menu, Instagram ads, and more. Would rather have actual photos of their foods.

The staff at Scoops were very friendly! They offer samples and I got to try a couple before choosing. I got the caramel flavor and it was not too sweet so it was perfect! Also there wasn't a line when I went.

Not quite 4 stars for me. Pretty solid ice cream. I enjoyed their Pralines and Cream.

Cute ice cream parlor with ice cream stools at the front entrance and chocolate dipped waffle cone lights hanging from the ceiling in their cozy corner. Service was amazing since there was only one server and she was doing everything: making the waffle cones, making the cotton candy and she was super nice too. They have a variety of flavors: we opted for the ube, birthday cake, and Kahlua coffee. The ube was nice and light and not overly sweet. And the Kahlua coffee had kopiko bits in it. IYKYK. We got toasted marshmallow on everything because we're obsessed. Everything was yummy and not too sweet which was nice. But I also saw that you could go even further with your sweet tooth and have a cotton candy ring around your ice cream cone too! Not for the faint of heart. But you do you boo!

    Ice Cream Concha

8.3/10 We ordered the Ice Cream Concha and paired it with Ube Ice Cream and Walnuts. It was a good dessert and a pairing I had never tried before. The ube ice cream was the highlight, smooth, flavorful, and not overly sweet. It really hit the spot and had a nice creamy texture. The walnuts added a good crunch and some extra texture to the dessert, though the pairing felt a little awkward at times. The concha itself was good and better than many I've had before. It wasn't overly dry, and they warmed it up which helped a lot. That said, conchas tend to be naturally a bit dry and crumbly, so that texture is somewhat unavoidable. Since you can customize the pairing yourself, it's possible we just didn't choose the most complementary combination. Service was amazing, the staff was very friendly and even let us sample flavors, which was a nice touch. The ambiance was good overall with a nice look to the place and cool decor. It did feel like it was starting to look a little worn or slightly dirty in spots, though they also just recently opened so it may just need some upkeep.

The building is remarkable! So beautiful, so clean, and has the perfect esthetic! The moment we walked in, we were greeted with energetic smiles and a welcome! The customer service was top tier! I cannot have sugar, and they explained their sugar free options, and when I tell you it is so good!!!!!!!!!!! I am not even kidding! My husband said his Oreo cookies waffle cone was delicious as well! I got a cup and was able to add toppings!! We will be back, and hopefully they'll have their sugar free butter pecan by then!!

Finally this place has opened! The place looks bright and pretty, and spacious! They serve Marianne's ice cream. We enjoyed a scoop each of butter pecan and sales caramel. The person behind the counter was pleasant and hardworking. We'll be back for sure.

Service is way too slow. They have 30 people in line and only two people working the counter on a Saturday evening during the summer. The manager needs to staff this place better.

Scoops is SO fun. We came for the famous cotton candy burrito and it was every bit as wild as it sounds -- three scoops of Marianne's ice cream, two toppings, plus another topping of your choice, all wrapped up in fluffy cotton candy. Total sugar overload, but in the best way possible. Shoutout to the guy working when we went because he was putting in WORK carefully wrapping the burrito so it wouldn't fall apart and making sure it looked good. You can tell he really puts effort into it. Messy, over-the-top, and such a fun dessert experience -- would 100% go back!

Better than the tourist traps on Alvarado Street! Friendly folks, warm and welcoming decor, and delicious ice cream choices - especially the combo choices! I mean, what human with a sweet tooth can resist a huge cotton-candy burrito with ice cream inside? Slightly out of the way, but totally worth the hunt!!!

Really delicious. My waffle cone was warm and fresh. My nieces ice cream scoop fell minutes after buying and was replaced. Everyone behind the counter was kind. Good vibes. Only con is the couch. Super pretty color. Totally understand that ice cream messes happen, especially with children. But the couch looks a bit gross so sit on. Overall the pace still deserves 5 stars and will come back.

Def aesthetically pleasing and affordable for large families!

We waited about 20 minutes to get inside, but once we reached the counter, the ordering process was quick and efficient. The shop itself is pretty small, but there's outdoor seating if you want to enjoy your ice cream nearby. They had so many unique flavors that it was hard to choose! I ended up getting the Kids Cookie Dough, and it did not disappoint. It was perfectly sweet and absolutely packed with cookie dough pieces, every bite had some. My husband ordered the Apple Pie flavor, and it was just as delicious. The balance of cinnamon and apple was spot on without either flavor overpowering the other. Now we understand why there's always a line. If we're back in the Monterey area, we'll definitely be stopping by again!

The honey comb is in large chunks so it brought a great texture throughout the scoop. You can also get unique toppings such as a melted marshmallow or more honey comb. I liked the bees knees but next time I think I will get a split scoop so I can try another flavor. Line is long but it also moves fast. Unfortunately you are not allowed to sample flavors but the girl working said they are always happy to make a new scoop for you if you don't like the flavor you received.

Lots of different merch to look at while waiting for order- coffee beans, olive oil, delicious looking bagged cookie, biscotti, hot dog buns and kitschy toys. Pros- service was friendly , helpful and patient! Pastries were top notch. We've been hitting bakeries all over Carmel and Monterey and liked these the best. The cream bun and earl grey bun were our favorites with the cardamom bun and chocolate croissant a close second and third. The dough on all these had great layers which has been missing in a lot of the pastries we've had while bakery hopping. The sun-dried tomato and cheese scone was the best savory scone I've ever had. Coffee- I got a latte with half serving of the miso caramel bc I was worried it would be too sweet (I'm a flat white gal). It tasted perfect and went well with the sweet pastries. My family got iced lattes with the miso caramel and the tonka vanilla. They liked them but thought they were light on flavor. If fancy lad coffee is your priority then probably not the place for you lol. Cons- parking is of course challenging but same for every business around there. Seating is very limited so prob have to plan on to-go if there's a crowd. Nice that they have a few outdoor tables. We couldn't find seating for three so we dipped and crashed at a table outside a restaurant that wasn't open.

Excellent food and pastries and drinks! Very hip

I asked the employee about it, and he told me it was because of the raspberry syrup, which honestly made absolutely no sense. I went back to the counter and asked if I could just get an iced coffee instead. Rather than making a new drink, he said he could add more matcha powder to the cup I already had. He did that, and somehow my matcha went from being white to gray. At that point, I was already pretty frustrated. I finally just asked for an iced coffee because I was over it. They handed me a completely black iced coffee. So I essentially paid $6 for them to pour coffee and water over ice. By that point, I was genuinely so irritated hearing the two coworkers make jokes about doing better next time etc that I just walked out. I completely understand that mistakes happen, but the entire situation was handled so poorly. I tried multiple times to resolve the issue, and somehow I still ended up with a drink I didn't want, after wasting both my time and my money. $6 might not seem like a lot, but paying for something you didn't order and then having the situation handled this poorly is incredibly frustrating. Definitely not the experience I expected, and unfortunately, not one I'd want to repeat.
