I went with some friends and ordered Lasagna. It was very chewy. My friend ordered broccoli and carrots on the side. They were cold and uncooked. I then tried it again and ordered out and chose the spiced chicken salad, pizza and tiramisu. The salad was nothing special. I hate when the put chopped onions instead of sliced onions in a salad. Once I put the homemade balsamic dressing on it, it became inedible. It was straight vinegar. Considering the salad cost $22.00, I expected more from it. Pizza was meh (chewy like their rolls) and the tiramisu was ok - it lacked the freshness and taste you typically get with mascarpone cheese - and there was barely any of it. For the prices of these items its not worth it. If you are looking for ok food for family meals, then I guess its ok. But the price of that salad was outrageous. read more

I had been going to Lui Lui's for YEARS, up until about a year or so ago. I LOVED this place.... I'd go with family, I'd go with friends... and it was understood, that whenever our friend who lives on Long Island now would come home, we would HAVE to grab a meal here... you know, for old time's sake. And why not? I loved the food, & don't get me started on how addictive the hot rolls with the flavored olive oil were. Oh my god. Can we have more rolls? Of course we can. Can we finish our meal because we scarfed down a bunch of rolls? No, but who cares? You can bring your meal home and enjoy it later. Sadly, my experiences here gradually went down hill. First they started to change some things on the menu... old favorites I could no longer order. No worries, I'd try something else, or perhaps a special. Things were okay. They weren't as good as they once were, which was disappointing, but I would make do, because, hey, it's Lui Lui's. Next, issues with some of the wait staff.... complete with going in during a very slow late lunch time, and our waitress being next to impossible to flag down when you needed anything. In fact. a large birthday group came in, and we were all but ignored. We had to have the manager bring us our check. It was kind of pathetic, and a huge let-down. More than a few visits such as this caused me to avoid Lui Lui, which is rather sad. I miss it, with how I used to know and love it. It's probably been enough time that I ought to give it another go, you know, for old time's sake. Part of me is timid about doing so, because I'm fearful I'd just be let down again.... and then there's that whole living halfway across the country thing. But hey, I visit. We shall see. read more

Excellent quality food. The veal parmesan portion is very generous and is to be savored. It has a nice buttery taste and comes with a side dish of pasta and meat sauce. The meat sauce is thick and has a nice zing to it, as compared to some restaurants that are afraid to offend and offer a boring, sweet sauce. The meal came with a good size salad, but I'd suggest to management, "what's the point?". It was almost all lettuce, with just one cherry tomato, a couple of mushroom slices, and a few bits of onion and green pepper. Produce is cheap. Add more than lettuce and make it a real salad or take it away as what was served was glaringly not up to the quality of the rest of the meal. Also tried: Lasagna: EXCELLENT. Good sized portion, smothered in that awesome meat sauce. Tiramisu: about the best I've had..... And I've had a LOT! Bread: Great oil! But can I have butter? Evening Dining: The quality of the food is so good, I'm looking for cloth tablecloths for a nice evening out dinner. Keep the tables as is for lunch. Bottom line... A recent try and rapidly becoming one of my favorite places. Any criticism is meant to be a constructive suggestion to management to improve an already great place. read more

Took the family here awhile ago, while you wait the server hands out pizza dough for the kids to play with, they loved it. Warm bread with a garlic, oil and herb dipping sauce start off your meal. I got the lasagna which was good, not great but no complants.My wife got the caesar salad which was good too. We would come back again, friendly staff and good food. read more

I'm not sure why people knock Lui Lui's so much - everything I have ever had there has been at least a 4/5, and honestly their steak tips were some of the best I've had anywhere. Including places where I have paid twice the amount they cost at Lui's. I will not say that the restaurant is better than the better "authentic" Italian restaurants, but they are head and shoulders above Olive Garden, and yes - they do beat some of the previously mentioned "authentic" Italian restaurants I have eaten at. Their pizza is also very good, and definitely a place to keep in mind for pizza night. Do yourself a favor and try Lui's. I would be surprised if you left with any regrets, although dinner isn't necessarily cheap. read more

We came here yesterday for my birthday and my friends birthday as we share the same date. With my hubby and her boyfriend. Our waitress immediately came by asked us for what we wanted to drink was very nice and bubbly. We ordered our drinks got them quickly, and then ordered our food. I ordered the Lobster/asparagus with Fettuccine, my hubby ordered the Bolognese pasta with Chicken, our friends ordered Spaghetti and Meatballs and the Fettucine a la Vodka. Our food was fresh and flavorful, nothing to complain about at all. Then when the waitress found out about our birthdays she brought out brownie Sundays that were amazing, but was respectful of our wishes not to have anyone sing...:) Again our waitress was outstanding I cant remember her NAME! We went to this restaurant based on a review given by the Phantom Gourmet. Typically, we have found the Phantom to be spot on with the review. That was not the case this time. We were extremely disappointed with the decor, noise level and overall size of the restaurant. The Arancini are, at best, average. The meatball appetizer is lackluster with too much cheese on top. My husband had the lasagna which is supposed to be a specialty according to the Phantoms review. I will say the Caprese salad had the right balance of oil, balsamic, salt and basil. I've been to Lui Lui a few times while visiting my daughter in Nashua. I get salmon a lot when I eat out, probably at 15 or so restaurants. I always say it's the best at Lui Lui. It's a perfect mix of a crisp stonefired grill top and tender inside. The flavor is perfect. It feels like it's prepared very healthy, which is also a plus! This is our standard lunch restaurant. The most commendable item of their restaurant is their fresh baked roll and dipping oil, definitely match some of the best restaurants in bigger metropolitan. Ordered takeout for lunch - pizza & a salad. My co-worker ordered a chicken panini. They made me the wrong pizza and had to cook me another & told me to keep the wrong one. My co-worker didn't find out they gave her the wrong sandwich until we got back to work. She called & got a credit for 2 lunches, but was bummed. Good thing the wood fired oven was out in the open because the guy who was making the pizzas didn't seem very happy to have to re-make mine and I wouldn't want any funny business with my food. To be truthful, he was actually downright sullen. In fact, most (not all) of the servers seemed really serious. Smile folks, it makes a big difference. To be honest, it was a BIG disapointment. The pizza was really small and not very good. Salad was ok, the rolls were the highlight. Much too expensive for the quality/portion for lunch. Food was decent, portions were large and sufficient. Order - we ordered the Cranberries and Gorgonzola salad and Rustica pizza. Salad was okay, nothing special. Serving size was good. The pizza base was good but a bit too soggy in the middle. Overall the pizza was a bit of downer and cause of slightly lower rating. Maybe an outlier and i would have another go before giving the verdict. Ambience is good and it is family friendly. The service was prompt and nice. After visiting their Lebanon New Hampshire location a number of times with my family in years back, I was looking forward to a relatively Americanized, but nonetheless solid Italian meal. Unfortunately my expectations were not met. Things that went well: The Cesar salad, which was sizable and fresh. Things that didn't: The booth they seated me at, which was extremely low compared to the table- so much so in fact it felt like I was at a "kids" table for a family gathering. The main dishes were also very bland and the chocolate moose they served tasted like pudding from Walmart. If you're looking for a place to take your kids this might be an option, but definitely skip it for date night!! read more

My boyfriend and I came to Lui Lui Sunday evening around 6:30pm. We were told it would be about 25-30 minutes wait, and decided to grab a drink at the bar downstairs while we waited. I had their Valentine's special drink, which was a lovely Pomegranate Sparkler. My boyfriend had a Corona. We sat at the bar for approximately 20 minutes when we got a text that our table was ready. We were seated promptly at a booth table. He ordered the Creamy Shells and Steak Gorgonzola dish, which he absolutely devoured. I ordered the Chicken Parm, which came with a delicious started salad. We started with some warm bread on the table served with olive oil. We finished with tiramisu, which was creamy and delicious. My personal preference is for tiramisu to be a bit more mocha-coffee-y, but it was delicious nonetheless. Both of us had leftovers to bring home which made for a nice dinner the next day! Our waitress, Alex, was pretty "hands-off", but very nice and accommodating, and it was a date night for us, so we actually preferred a hands off approach. We absolutely loved Lui Lui's! The vibe was perfect, and you could even just sit at the bar and order food if they are slammed. We are adding this as a favorite and will certainly return. read more

Starting off by saying our server (I believe her name was Abby?) was SUPER sweet and checked up on us a lot. We got the italian sampler platter and it was eh. My boyfriend really like the arancini but I thought it was bland. The buffalo tenders are like any other restaurant buffalo chicken. Fried raviolis didn't taste like anything and I didn't try the meatballs. The tomato bruschetta was good but the bread was kind of soggy. My boyfriend got lobster ravioli which he liked but said it was pretty salty. I got alfredo made with gnochhi and while the gnochhi itself was really good the alfredo sauce is HORRIBLE. It was so salty it tasted like my entire dish was soaked in the ocean before slapping some cream on top, I ate like 3 bites. The creme brulee dessert was super sweet but pretty good, we finished it. The mousse is way too bitter and taste like it was made with hot cocoa powder, took two bites and left the rest. I threw up immediately after getting home because that pasta was so salty. Overall wouldn't go back again but our server was super sweet. read more

One of my favorite restaurants, and for a reason. Firstly, good luck not eating your weight in the appetizer rolls when they are delivered to you as you sit. The olive oil is perfect, and the bread rolls are generous, doughy and all kinds of delicious. Personally, I enjoy the lasagna. Out of this world. It's filling and is decently portioned. Don't waste your money. My family and I spent $70 on 2 pizzas 2 small salads and an "artichoke" dip. I would have been happier eating dominos than this place. The margherita pizza was so hard and crunchy we felt like we were eating a cracker. The salad dressing was extremely salty. Today I was excited to eat some amazingly yummy pasta, only to be disappointed when I called and they told me that they closed TWO HOURS EARLY due to how slow it was at the restaurant. I was extremely disappointed and angry, as I was excited to eat my pasta and drink some iced tea. I am VERY ANGRY and I don't think it's fair for them to just suddenly close two hours early without any notice. I am hurt and I don't think I will be returning in the future. This was a pretty good place to get Italian food. Good quick service and passable beer (I think I got a Blue Moon). I had the calzone which comes sitting in sauce. I think that was a stroke of genius. I hate the sauce on the side, and sauce inside tends to explode out. The food was all very good. I love this place. The pasta is always fresh and perfectly Al Dente. The sauces are all excellent and freshly made - not salty and generic like some of the chain offerings. The rolls (yes, I know rolls aren't always a good sign) are freshly baked and have never disappointed me - think Bertuccis signature rolls but better and fresher.
