Well, this was an absolute mess. I have family in town for my wedding this week, so I was especially disappointed with what I received today. I ordered two large 20-inch pizzas, but they were shoved into boxes that were clearly too small. By the time I drove just 10 minutes to my family's house, the pizzas had turned into a greasy pile of cheese and toppings that looked like slop. I've attached photos to show how the "pizza" looked upon opening. You can see the sides all folded in because of the small box. To make matters worse, I specifically requested the pizzas be double cut, but they weren't cut at all. Overall, this was a really disappointing experience. Between the poor packaging, the condition of the pizzas, and the order not being prepared as requested, I expected much better experience and I won't be returning. read more

Friendly service and smooth process in receiving food. Generous portion sizes for a good price. Areas to improve: the pizza to me seems cheaply made. I received a slice with toppings dumped on top of my slice, not melted in. Never received anything like that before from a pizza place. Couldn't even hold my slice without having toppings fall over the place. Got a cheese Sicilian as well and looked and tasted as low quality cheesy bread. The best NY style pizza in the Charlotte area I have had, consistently. My family & I are frequent flyers here. Perfect cheese blend, seasoning, sweet sauce with a little zing, greasy but not too much. Slightly crisp crust without being burnt. Best when you get a pie fresh in-restaurant, but I'll ask for a pie lightly done when getting take out to allow for perfect reheating in the oven. Service & ambiance are good. It's a very standard pizza place. We usually order to go but it's comfortable & large enough to sit! The wings are okay. This is a pizza place. Get the pizza. Or at least the ziti. Best tasting pizza I have had in NC and am a big fan so far, though I do have a couple of nit-pics: 1) The crust while seemingly cooked perfectly, often spits of tears awkwardly. This could be because we always order their largest pie which barely fits in the pizza box. 2) I wish they would deliver through Grubhub, DoorDash or Uber Eats. another Luigi's location does but not the Steele Creek location. 3) I resent the hell out of being asked to provide a tip when picking up at the counter. If you provide table service then absolutely! Counter tips are for special occasions (just my opinion - I don't tip the nice folks at CVS or Publix when I check out). read more

4/27 takeout - when I phoned in the order, the woman who answered was: professional, polite, read back the order, and patient. I believe her name was Sidney. Excellent service. I usually get their stuff 20" pizza with Chicken, Banana Peppers, Onions & Green Peppers but decided to go with an all time classic: the Cheese Pizza! Since it was lunch time, I ordered the 12" personal pan pizza. This is the perfect size for me and my girls! Their service is always top tier no matter how busy they are and the nice lady who worked at front today gave a friendly smile and was so polite. Oh and their cheese pizza? Luigi's unfortunately is hit or miss. But when you hit, this place is just incredible. When their pizza is done right, in my opinion, it's way better than any other traditional New York style, pizza in the area, including Emilio's; which I love. The slices are absolutely gigantic, and I really wanna order from there again, I would say we are two out of four being very good. I'd rate it when it's very good about a 7.2 Two times not terrible but the pizza was a bit thick a little tough, and that is where I be scoring them closer to 5.9. read more

God I love your Pizza but who is working for you? My Husband calls and asks for one meatball hero and one pan of meatballs with sauce and cheese. Huh, what, I don't get it is the reply. My husband says one meatball hero and one meatball hero with no bread. Oh ok. We can do that. Laaaaa and a Greek salad. 38.00. the meatballs were half the size they normal are and the price went up. I got two meatball hero's but one was just labeled no bread. Or I think that is what it said.the other was RUGULAR . I really don't think the order was that complicated but if I am paying 40.00 for two hero's and a side salad ..GET IT RIGHT.this is not the first time. Finally found a decent pie since moving here. Service was good for a takeout order. We ordered the White Pizza, build your own(bacon and onion) side salads and mozzarella sticks. The pizza was cooked well, good flavor, good ratio of toppings and sauce. Crust was crispy and slice size was generous on a 16". Cesar salad and Greek salad were fresh, and dressings were very good. First visit was impressive, the pizza was delicious and the wings were fresh and tasty. My second visit, a few weeks later, was met with a low energy young lady, who took the order and when I say the food horrible not to mention waiting 30 min for a lunch order, boy was it disappointing. The wings were very old and dried out where they dumped a lot of sauce to cover, my pizza was cold and the fried lasagna bites were over cooked. I owned an eatery and if you can't keep a customer returning every 2 weeks it's likely it won't be around for very long. Very disappointing experience which won't have me returning. read more
