    Tacos El grifo. Absolutely delicious!
    Michelle W.

Wow this is my new favorite Mexican restaurant. I highly recommend the chimichanga and the tacos El griefo. The staff is very warm and welcoming. They will tell you all about the restaurant and give great recommendations. I also recommend the carne asada fries and the cucumber lime drink. I can't wait to go back to try the tacos. Yes, it can be pricey but it's worth it! Plus, I often leave with left overs and the fries reheat great in an airfryer.

The food was so so delicious, the service was spectacular and the presentation was gorgeous! The portion sizes were really impressive as well, we had to take our leftovers home! 10/10 experience will definitely be back!

"I'm a changed woman after that" -My 22 year old daughter This food was so good and so unique compared to other Mexican food places we've been to. Food presentation was also phenomenal. And staff were amazing. A little deceiving from the outside, but inside is nice and cozy.

Off the Secret Menu, shrimp and birria with fresh tortillas, rice and beans along with a tangy grilled jalapeno.

This is a great place to go to and it has really good food! Our server was very personable and quite helpful describing the choices as well as answering our questions. The fish taco was crispy, delicious and a beautiful presentation. The carne asado tacos were delicious, fresh and appealing to the eye and taste buds. The birria was juicy and fresh. We will be back!

Nice score at Lujos Cocina Mexicana. Located in a strip mall where patrons do not know how to park. The restaurant looks small from the outside and that is because it is small on the inside. You order your meal at the counter and it is delivered to your table. Ordered red and green enchiladas on their house special board with el pastor protein. You can also pick chicken or just cheese. Was not sure what to expect, when the dish arrived I could tell it was special. The dish was served with a small skillet of refried beans and a packed Spanish rice. A flower was growing out of my enchiladas the plate border had dollops of creama. Perfectly seasoned and very tasty. No chips and salsa with this dish. I assume those were extra. Great dining experience! Put this one on your list.

Recently tried Lujos and was greatly impressed! The outside is very unassuming but once inside you step into a modern Mexican eatery with a very relaxed vibe. I can in later in the morning (10ish) and asked if they had breakfast items. The cashier was very nice and said of course, she was just changing the screens to lunch menu. I got the soyrizo burrito. The burrito itself was very big and the salsas were both tasty! Wish I had gotten a better picture but it was so good I couldn't wait to dig in!

    The yummiest birria!!

This restaurant is tucked away in a strip of stores at the corner of Val Vista and Elliot Rd. in Gilbert, AZ. The service is friendly, quick, and most importantly the food is delicious. I had some of the best Birria tacos here! I'll definitely be coming back for more!

Finally got to check this place out and really enjoyed it. Food was made fresh and it was delicious. The green cheese enchiladas had great flavor and the beans and fluffy rice were so yummy. My son got the burrito and pretty much ate it all. If I could offer one suggestion it would be to have some chips in salsa available because I feel like that's a great start to prepare you for fantastic Mexican food. Will recommend this place in the future.

The food was great, and I really liked how many vegetarian options there were. It all seemed pretty authentic, and the interior was modern and clean. Service was really slow when I was there, despite there being only one other guest, which is the only reason I'm giving it a 4 star instead of 5. I would prefer to have a server come to the table over a counter service/server come to your table mixed style. You ordered at the counter but they brought drinks, food, and silverware to the table, which made it confusing when you needed something.

Great customer service, super friendly!! The food quality was also amazing and their portions are massive!

I haven't tried this place before. It was a pleasant experience. The young lady at the counter was very helpful on answering all our questions. She had a very nice smile as well. My wife ordered the chicken burrito and I had the beef flautas. The food was very well prepared and had great flavor. We ate inside and it was nice and clean. The restrooms were clean as well.

We got super lucky and were able to sit at the bar, open seating, with the TVs. There are regulars that come in and seem to have a good rapport with the staff and they love the food. It was a bit of a rush time and there was only one bartender so service was a bit slow. We did get some chips and salsa as we waited. Good chips, airy and crispy. The salsa was OK. I'm personally just not a fan of roasted salsa. Their beer was crisp and thoroughly cold which was refreshing. I tried the amor de mango and it was tasty. I can't remember my first drink either. It was a Paloma or a margarita, but i didn't enjoy as much, which is why I changed my next drink. The chimi trio was very tasty and full of flavor, one bean one chicken one beef, all good. Then we got the carnitas cheese crisp which was interesting and had good flavor. I would order both again. Service was pretty good. Like I said, the bartender was busy working by himself and when one of his coworkers noticed, we didn't have any more water then she would come by and help so that was appreciated. It s good date spot, or catching up with a friend or just grabbing a bite to eat and drink for yourself. I look forward to coming back and trying entrees. My only hope is that during the hot bright times they lower the shades and get more shades. Not only to reduce the sun coming in but also reduce the glare on the tv that way all spots at the bar are good spots.
