Went here for dinner on our first night in Oahu. We were greeted as soon as we entered. We waiting about 15 minutes before being seated. Took about another 15 minutes for our waiter to make his way over to get our drink order, which is understandable since it was packed and another waitress dropped off water already. I ordered the spinach dip for our appetizer and the prime rib (mashed potatoes and mixed veggies) for my entree and my husband ordered a burger and fries. Food came out after about 15 minutes of waiting. The spinach dip was good. It came with wheat chips and garlic bread (yum). My prime rib was also good, a bit fatty, but still good. My husband enjoyed his burger and fries. We sat looking out into the beach so the view was awesome!!! Mason was our server and was super energetic and fun from the start. We came pretty late on a Monday for some drinks and food and the food cMe out fast and was delicious. Mason is clearly a hard worker and was easy to talk to -- so friendly that he even got us to have 2 rounds of shots. Not mad about it! Especially when on vacation. Not a bad place for ok food and good entertainment. Went on a Monday to catch Fia play. Music was great and the mood was super chill. The food was ok. Had nachos and the Smokin Bacon burger. Nachos had pork which we asked if was extra charge. Waiter said no extra charge but the bill had a $2 charge for pork. Not a big deal, but unexpected. They do have a nice military discount, so that made up for the extra charge. The place was a little weathered and the cocktails were light on the alcohol. The view for sunset was amazing. Food: (this review based on breakfast) - for starters, a $4 juice will leave you thirsting for more (see picture) - it's not worth it given the small size. The $3 coffee was saved by the free refills. But breakfast gets better. The Light Breakfast ($8) had two eggs, corned beef hash and one piece of toast - small, but decent. Same goes with the Duece's Wild - two eggs, two pancakes, two bacon, corned beef hash - it may be a better value for hungrier patrons and just as tasty. If you like Denny's or Zippy's, you're going to like breakfast here. 3. Service: the restaurant was about three-quarters full on this particular Sunday morning. Not sure if this is the norm, but our server was hard to get and we found him rarely passing by, even though we were in the middle-ish of the restaurant, one table away from the open windows. I would challenge advocates of tipping wait staff to be served by our waiter and see if they still support the notion of tipping everyone at a minimum of 15%. One hopes that our experience was not normal. 4. Atmosphere: from the neat flight of steps to the second floor restaurant to the wood decor, TVs everywhere, lights (the place must be neat at night) - props go to the decorating team, but the key feature during the day has got to be the view. Choose a seat along the bar-style surface and seats by the open windows to enjoy the view of Kuhio Beach and the people walking by on Kalakaua Avenue down below. 5. Value: 4 stars became 3 based on service. When it comes to breakfast, this is really Denny's or Zippy's with more TVs and a beach view. It's competitive given the other good (and better and more central options on Kalakaua for breakfast; however, this isn't a bad choice. read more

I swear my taste in Waikiki/Oahu restaurants is the opposite of everyone else's. Y'all can keep your Goofy's and Roy's. Lulu's is where it's at! This place serves typical bar-ish type food - burgers, nachos, salads. And they do it well! Just don't go in expecting anything else. The portions are HUGE. I got the aloha burger, which hit the spot of needing that sweet and savory juicy burger. A couple of my friends got a few different salads and they looked SO bomb! I definitely need to try those next time. The service was awesome, and they give a nice military discount, which is always adds a star for me. They also validate parking but I couldn't for the life of me find the garage entrance so maybe call them and ask about that. Wow! A lot of food for a reasonable price on Waikiki and a view of the ocean. Grabbed some chairs at the counter along the windows and ate here a few days in a row now. The food menu has something for everyone. Coffee this morning has been free flowing and delicious. Happy hour last night was good too. Had a mango daiquiri first. It was a bit sour but so refreshing. Then tried the strawberry daiquiri and it was my favorite. $5 each. A few nights ago I had the Lava Flow piña colada and it was delicious!! Burger and fries were delicious. This was an ok place. It's across from the zoo and the beach. The tables overlooking everything are all single bar seats. Not very convenient for families. But, the view was pretty cool. Breakfast was pretty packed but seating was easy. The food was okay. Nothing spectacular. The homestyle potatoes/hashbrowns were a little burned. I had eggs and corn beef with rice.
