We stopped by and ordered a pizza and some wings. They were seriously understaffed, but the staff was friendly (if frantic and confused.) We waited about an hour for our food, but it never came. It didn't look that busy. In the end we asked for a refund and left. The pizza on the other table looked good, but I can't speak to the taste. Went there for pizza by the slice and it's only offered "part of the day." Not sure what that means, and several groups of people came in after us asking the same. I would suggest having set days and times if you only do it sometimes. We arrived about 8:00pm on a Saturday night. The only other group in the restaurant had already been served when we ordered. It took 35 minutes to be served our medium pizza. Kitchen seemed unorganized with 3-4 people just walking around and talking. Meanwhile the tables and floor were all dirty from previous parties. Wife and I visited Flagstaff for a day, and to finish off the day, we wanted a simple pizza. Yelp rated Lumberjack a solid 4-star, so off we went. On the way we passed a Marco's pizza and commented to ourselves how we would do wayyy better than that tonight. We liked the convenient location on Rt. 66....unfortunately, it was the last thing we liked. We looked at each other when we walked in and there were no customers at 6:30 pm on a Saturday night; again, unfortunately, we said 'our good luck!'.... Ordered a 12" custom with pepperoni, sausage, and red peppers. I also ordered a root beer float, a special for the night. Waitress brought me a mug with ice cream about 5 minutes later. I was confused, thinking 'where's the root beer?'. Sure enough, I'm supposed to use the self-serve fountain root beer. Had I known, I wouldn't have ordered it, because have you ever added carbonated root beer from a self-serve tap to ice cream??, good luck, because it took about 10 minutes to get 2/3 of the glass filled due to all the bubbling. Of course, no spoon was provided, so I used the knives (plenty of those (for what?) to help mix the ice cream with root beer. Pizza comes out sans peppers, mostly pepperoni, little sausage, VERY greasy, and so soupy/drippy, I had to use my knife again (thank god it was there, although maybe a fork would be nice, but alas, non of those to be found) to cut the piece up enough to eat some. I got some paper plate in there as well, as the knife burrowed into the cheapest assed plates that could be bought maybe from Walmart? Cheese was a bit chewy, but really I couldn't get past how greasy it was Except for the crust which was actually good, but honestly I'm not going to try to review how good my crust was after this mess. My wife and looked at each other after the first piece, and said maybe Marco's would have been the best option. We also commented on how our local Pizza Hut is Wayyyy better. It's not like this place was a budget CiCi's, either, so I don't get what the hype is on this place. Came in before an NAU game and the service was ridiculously slow and the scheduling manager should have known better. Waited 40 minutes to find out my order hadn't even been processed even though I was second in line. However I kept seeing slice after slice go out. Tried to be understanding of the short staff but when one of the employees was consistently on her phone instead of processing orders that was rude and annoying. I realize now that I didnt see many reviews about delivery.... Oops. Quick synopsis. Order online. One hour wait. Ok. One hour passes. Text update that pizza and salad are on the way!!! One hour 20 min. Update: pizza guy is at the hotel. I'm I the lobby to meet him. No time to waste, wife and kids are hungry. Interesting.... The guy doesn't have a "keep warm" insulated box for the pizza. Well, it's snowing outside, so he must have left it in his car, right? Nope. Get to the room and the crust is cold and the middle of the pizza is a salmonella friendly 68 degrees or so. Now to be fair the salad was good and chilled (It was snowing that day). Cute sports bar kind of vibe inside. We ordered a couple of slices and an order of boneless wings. Pizza was perfect, fresh out of the oven and just what we were looking for. It has a small down home vibe Extremely relaxed and unpretentious. You order at the counter and the workers there are doing everything Cooking taking orders and running food out. We got a salad mozzarella sticks and a large pizza. Everything was DELICIOUS. The ingredients where extremely fresh and food comes out hot. They also have a big craft beer list and very decent wine list. The portions where big and prices good. I will most definitely be a return customer whenever I am in flagstaff.
