Giving this 2 stars because of this place is stingy when it comes to their servings, especially the dessert Halo Halo. It is certainly "Not Your Typical" halo halo as advertised, because they're stingy on the ingredients that makes up a true halo halo. What they offer is 95% ice and milk, topped with ice cream & flan. See pictures of how little ingredients they include. I count 3 each of the green and red beans, a couple strands of nata de coco, and some kaong. The whole dessert tasted like I was just eating shaved ice with bland milk. Very sad and disappointing. The lumpia is good, but a lot more overpriced than the competition around. If you're looking for a bulk party order I recommend going somewhere else. For a simple food item like lumpia, the taste doesn't justify the cost. The plates are also good, like the lechon kawali - very crispy and tasty. BUT, again, they are a very stingy when it comes to quantity. If this place can be more generous with their servings, this would easily be a 4+ star rating. Food is good! I've had the longsilog and lecheon kawali. The egg seems to end up over medium with hard yoke. I like the over easy runny yoke on my rice--just not possible in this place. The lumpia is delicious. The service is also excellent. Unfortunately, the wait is always unsatisfactory. The time you spend waiting, you could have driven to Seafood City and back AND eaten your food. Based on the wait, I wouldn't come back. Good food, but the wait time needs to drastically improve for me to ever come back. This part is truly sad and unfortunate. I still like this place though. read more

I've been so excited to try this place and they did not disappoint: the lumpias were hot and delicious. Crispy and cooked to perfection. I purchased the chicken and pork. The Adobo [chicken] is everything! Chicken thighs are nice and tender; served with a nice helping of rice and Fried eggs. Finally a filipino spot in the area! Howeverrrr.... the food was sooo disappointing. You'd expect silog to be great since it's so simple it would be hard to mess it up. NOPE. Fried rice was soaked in oil so i guess it's literally fried? Vegetable lumpia was sooooo gross, the filling was chopped so tiny, overcooked, soggy, and oily. It's like a mush of veggies. Longanisa and tocino were a bit undercooked. Would taste so much better grilled. Tocino was tough. It should be tender and caramelized. Halo halo was tasty and has the right balanced sweetness although it's mostly just ice. Maybe add sweetened banana, jackfruit, or red mung bean? The boba was bland. Why'd you mess up boba like this?? Please have a taste? Also, it's ridiculously overpriced. $7 for 6 pcs of lumpia when you can get it at some places for less than a dollar per piece. $14 for a small portion silog when other stores charge for less and have a much bigger serving. They probably thought they could get away with the pricing since they're the only one in this area? I don't really mind spending $$$ if the food is good. I understand that they just opened. There are only a few things to say: No Bathroom to Wash Your Hands before you eat! GROSS! They say the toilet is broken but there are complaints in 2022 for the same thing! DOUBLE GROSS! Poor management, lazy kids who don't want to work or clean the restroom! The food is ok, just ok. Portions are small. Very expensive for what you get. Service was ok but not great, just kids working there without supervision. We won't go back again. They will go out of business eventually. When you first walk in you can smell the clean. The art on the walls are very nice. Many colors which bring the place to life. The lumpia's were bomb. They make em to order. The rice plate was hella good too. We tried the lechón and it was on point. The ladies who were working that day were very polite and kind. Positives: Everything I ordered tasted great and was a good sized portion. I had the Tocilog and Classic Lumpia. They give you a healthy portion of garlic rice, two eggs how you want and the meat with a little carrot heart. The lumpia was crispy and not overly salty like I've had at other places. For my drink I had the Mango Tea with Boba and tasted great. I have no complaints about the food at all. Criticisms: My main gripe with this place is the price of everything. Even if it all tastes great and you get a good portion, it's still pretty expensive for what you get. The Mango Tea especially was overpriced for what you get. You can get the same thing for less than $5 at other spots. Might be the effect of COVID, I don't know. I was also a little disappointed not to have any vinegar with my Silog since that's traditionally included. Final Thoughts: Being a FilAm, it's great to have a Filipino spot within walking distance from my house. They put out good food and drinks and the staff was courteous. If the prices weren't so high, I'd probably go more often, but it'll probably be a once a month spot for me. I really hope they succeed though. read more

Went in for lunch and was not disappointed. Had the classic lumpia ($7), which were not only crispy but very savory. It reminds me of the recipe my mom used growing up. Seeing how I'm miles away from home, it definitely had a very nostalgic factor for me. My girlfriend had the Lechon Kawali ($14). The garlic rice was very buttery and garlicky, which blended in with the salted crispy pork. The two eggs on top definitely complimented the stronger flavors of pork and garlic. We also shared an Ube Float ($6.50), which we both absolutely loved. The strong ube flavors with the vanilla ice cream really cleansed the pallete and was much needed on such a hot day. Verdicts - The food here reminds me of home, and that's what I love the most. The staff was very friendly, and seeing how they're still new, I hope this place continues to keep up the quality of their food and drinks. As for the price, I think it's very reasonable for what you get. Definitely will be coming back here again when I'm craving home food. read more

It's a cute little shop that offers nice customer service, good boba floats, and the lumpia was also tasty. While I sat and ate my lumpia there was a steady amount of foot traffic from online orders, I take that as a good sign of all their food and treats tasting good. So...it's 6:28 and I decided fifteen minutes ago that I would stop in for halo halo. I don't come here often because I find a lot of the items overpriced and some items simply lack the flavor that I expect. I'm n any event, the plan was to secure the halo halo first and maybe some lumpia. I walked in and there were two people behind the counter talking and working on something. Another person was in the back in the kitchen. Right at this moment three young girls have walked in and are being subjected to the same treatment that I received...ignored, no hello, nada. Whoever was in the kitchen walked out to the car and back to the kitchen. The girls have finally been acknowledged. The staff behind the counter had their backs to me but turned around and came within 2 feet of me but I never received a hello. There's a jingles my bell on the door so it's not like they didn't hear me come in. No eye contact, nothing...it's all good though.
