Finally Flower Mound gets a fun, everyone-wants-to-eat-here restaurant that Plano and the other ritzy suburbs don't have! This place is a California chain, so the first thing you will notice is the calories written next to every item on the menu. This obviously can be a good or bad thing depending on how you look at it (bad in my case haha). I really enjoyed the chicken kabob wrap, simply seasoned fries, hummus, and house salad. I know that makes me sound like a fatty, but I tried a couple of bites of my brother and mom's meal too. I don't eat Mediterranean food often, but DAMN is all I can say. The food was simply spectacular! To give you an idea of how amazing their entrees are, my mom has already been here 3 times and she barely ever eats out and rarely goes without a coupon! They also have a loyalty program, which is a nice perk for those who like to eat at the same place often. :) I don't know if he is the manager of the Flower Mound location, but Elliot sure made it his priority that we were satisfied with our meals. He asked us if there was anything they could improve on and mentioned that Luna Grill is always looking for ways they can better serve their guests. I thought that was pretty impressive and the way he said it seemed very genuine. I love when businesses go the extra mile to make sure their customers go home happy. Great food! Rice and sweet potato fries are amazing! The desserts are way too small for the price. My husband usually gets the chicken kabob plate and I get the chicken wrap. I really love this restaurant conceptually. I am not of Mediterranean descent, yet love the food. I love eating this way. It's like a good western movie here. There is the good, the bad and the ugly to this restaurant. First for the good: My "go to" item is the Norwegian Salmon Platter. It's a fantastic medley of basmati rice, grilled salmon, pita bread, salad and a veggie. I think we are covering a lot of food groups here in one sitting. Score! The beverage offerings are fantastic with fountain juices and fresh brewed tea. I love making an arnold palmer with mango lemonade here. Plus, you can have a fabulous glass of wine, if you are feeling it. The bad: The price: I feel like $22.41 for a salmon luncheon with a cup of lentil soup and beverage is a bit steep. I can go to a full-service restaurant for a better experience. The cashier is not particularly helpful. She is literally just a button pusher, so don't expect much more. Zero engagement. Now for the ugly: The restaurant is looking worn down. Curled wood floors, unswept floors and dirty glass front door. There were aggressive flies inside the restaurant nose diving into my food and attacking me. Then, the fruit flies. Holy smokes! They are fat and can barely fly. Friends, that means they are well fed. I found are large source (about 30) of them at the soda machine while using the ice dispenser. Want to get a whiff of something horrid? Just walk towards the kitchen/restroom. It's like a bad grease trap or more! Way to make me lose my appetite, Luna Grill. All in all, I think I am going to stay away from Luna Grill as there are some tell-tale signs of a poorly ran restaurant. A poorly managed business obvious to the customer at the front of the restaurant makes me wonder how they manage things that we cannot see. I ordered in from Luna Grill this week and I was really pleased that it was ready in a very reasonable amount of time and arrived quickly. I found the food to be a very satisfactory experience as well. I ordered the Chicken Kabob and Ground Sirloin Kabob plate for $14.25 and it came with basmati rice, pita, a side salad and carrots. Both the chicken and the sirloin had great flavor and were cooked well. If I had to choose, I would say the sirloin had better texture. The rice was cooked perfectly and subtly fragrant. The pita was also perfect! Besides the cucumber I found my veggies a little too hard for my taste, but that's my only complaint and it's a picky one. Overall, I really enjoyed my meal and thought it tasted great! Now, $14.25 may seem high for a simple lunch order, but the portion was huge. This ended up being two meals for me and I felt the price was extremely fair, especially since I really liked my meal a lot! Also, that was the price of a signature plate, other items are available at a cheaper price, like wraps and salads. For dessert I wanted to try their mini baklava which was only $1.50. I will say that it wasn't as dry as many places in the area, but it was too syrupy for my taste. Since it's so affordable, I would order it again, just to see if this was a one off situation. They also have mini cupcakes for $1.50 as well- vanilla, chocolate and red velvet. I am not big on vanilla but feel it's a good standard to try a new place by, so I got the vanilla cupcake and it was absolutely delicious!! The cake was moist and the frosting was fantastic! They even included white chocolate chips in the frosting and it wasn't too rich. I thought it was really well balanced in terms of flavor. I'll be ordering these mini cupcakes again for sure! I frequently eat Mediterranean and this ranked among my favorites. I decided to stop in for a snack today and see if the good vibes continued or if this was a one and done. I got the Handmade Spinach Pies for $5.25 and a Red Velvet mini cupcake. My food was brought out to me in less than 10 minutes. The spinach pies are spinach and feta in golden brown phyllo dough and are served with cucumber yogurt. I thought the yogurt was a bit strong to be paired with the four pies, but frankly, they didn't really need anything. These were good and I found the phyllo dough to be a little addictive. I enjoyed it! The red velvet wasn't as moist as the vanilla, but was still quite good. They did a great job with the frosting and it wasn't overly sweet. Their other cupcake was chocolate with chocolate frosting so it may be a little rich. At this point, I'm looking forward to another vanilla cupcake, who knew!? The place was large and clean with plenty of seating. The staff was very friendly and had helpful suggestions as I was momentarily stuck between the pies and falafel, lol. I didn't want a drink, but they offered me a water cup when I said I was dining in. I appreciate those small gestures in customer service. I also witnessed a really positive team dynamic while I was there. They also were very exuberant in wishing me a great day when I left, great job to the team. Frankly between the quality of the food and the polite staff, I'm still having a hard time grasping this as a fast casual concept. In terms of their immediate competition (other fast casual Mediterranean places), they may be a little more expensive but the quality of the food was beyond fast casual expectations. I would normally have a good review of Luna Grill. Last night, however, the experience was substantially different. I ordered curbside for 3. When I arrived, at the pickup time emailed, I called to let them know I was there, waiting. The attendant stated that they were bagging my food. A family of 6 was entering the establishment as I arrived. As they were being served their order 40 minutes later, I finally decided to enter the premises to inquire about my order. The attendant looked and it was on the cabinet behind him, bagged up. Upon asking, the attendant explained that it was just bagged up. I questioned that as I explained that I had called to inform my arrival BEFORE the family of 6, that was being served their order now, had even placed their order. At this point, the attendant apologized and I just grabbed my food and exited. My food was cold, imagine that. When I place a a to-go order, I always tip for the person that has to bring it out to me. I ordered take out this time about two weeks ago, the food was warmer but this time I ordered one of their bowls, did the avocado up charge and asked for Pita Bread with the bowl. No big surprise that they disappointed yet again! No avocado and no pita bread. I discovered this on my route back home, so I pulled over and called to inquire about these two items. The person who answered the phone, a male, was insistent that there was avocado in the bowl and said they never give pita bread with bowls. I said I requested both and was charged just shy of $20. for one item. Needless to say, I'll NEVER go back to LUNA GRILL as their food is not even mediocre and the service and staff SUCK! BTW, the last time I looked at and ate one, avocado is green and there was nothing green in my bowl, except for a small and I mean small dollop of kale. This restaurant used to be one of our go-to places for my wife and I. I've always participated in their rewards program and routinely accumulated rewards. But for whatever reason Luna Grill has really gone downhill. My wife and I went to dinner there this week (8-18-21) and it's our last try. We used to love the way they made chicken for the plates and salads, but it was just horrible this time - dry and flavorless. My salad was sparse and just not up to par. You pay regular restaurant prices but the meals now are packed to-go (even if dining in) in smaller plastic containers and you get plastic utensils. It's just a terrible value for what you spend. You can get a better meal most anywhere for the same price and would be well advised to go elsewhere even if you have to spend a few dollars more. read more

The food taste fresh and hot upon arrival. I order on the regular the chicken and gyro platter. The chicken is always thick and juicy! The gyro meat is fresh and comes with delicious tzatziki sauce. I always add a small side of Greek salad to the order because the salad dressing is so delicious! The bed of rice at the bottom is full of flavor and it really brings all the different taste together! The salad comes with tomatoes, cucumbers, feta cheese, banana peppers, green olives, onion and lettuce. This was my first time at a Luna grill and I can confirm with full confidence it was really good I've had Mediterranean food before just not at Luna grill and I wasn't sure what you order due to it's usually order for me and I don't know what to get. Sarah the women who served me was amazing and patient with me and gave me a recommendation of the gyro wrap with the chipotle sauce and fries I got it without the tomato's and she asked if I had an allergy or just a preference I love that she did that to keep people safe it's rare when someone asks that question you normally have to tell them prior to I did have to wait a little bit but it was well worth the wait the customer service was amazing food was really tasty and I'll definitely return hungry for more I hope this finds Sarah and the staff thank you for a delicious meal! read more

Not good. I tried it again today. The gyro meat was burnt, hard and crusty. They charged an extra dollar for garlic sauce ( ridiculous) and it was not anything to write home about. My Gyro plate cam $14:56. So I can only compare it other Mediterranean places like Andalous (Irving) or little Greek in Plano. Hands down the quality is way better in both Andalous and little Greek. Someone finally came out and told me that they gave my order to someone else in the same car as mine. I doubt it considering I was there early and never saw another car like mine. Great place to dine in or for take out! The Classic Wrap Gyro (with a side of fries of course!) is the best! Fries may not be your typical side of choice for a gyro, but it sure is one of my favorites. Genius for allowing this combo to even exist! Staff was quick and friendly, lots of places to sit.
