This was my first time at this restaurant and I had heard good things about it. We ordered the chicken/gyro plate, salmon plate, and pita with fries. They said the wait would be 15 minutes. After about 20, a worker comes from outside the restaurant with a bag, comes over to me and tries to hand it to me. I asked her where it came from and she informed me that someone else was allowed to walk out with my order. I refused to take food that she had no idea where it had been and was seriously concerned that she, a food worker, thought that was okay. My husband and I both got the Greco bowl. He got the original version, but they made it non-spicy for me. We both got rice in our bowls. Pros: Pretty good food for casual dining Cons: Service/Timing I'm not sure if this place was in its soft opening phases still, but it seems like they have some service/timing issues to get sorted. We arrived and the restaurant was moderately full, but not overcrowded. The dishes seemed just a dollar or two more than I might have expected but that's okay. We each ordered an entrée and a hummus plate to share. Given a number, we sat down and the hummus plate arrived pretty quickly. Spicy hummus was not too spicy and so very delicious! The bread isn't exactly your typical pita, but is almost like a pizza dough - it's soft and fluffy and chewy in a good way, which I wasn't expecting. I liked it but prefer a more traditional pita with this kind of food. It took quite a long time for food to come, and it was just hubby's plate. It looked so good but I was really hungry, so rationally, I thought, "I'll go to the bathroom and when I come back, my food will be here!" (Does anyone else do this?!) Well, it wasn't, but I nibbled on some of his salad and more hummus. It took a while, but my plate eventually came. He ordered lamb and I ordered some kind of chicken and both were crispy on the outside, moist inside, and flavorful. The salad and dressing seemed kind of "plastic," if that's a word that could be used to describe food. It's the kind of produce that looks really pretty but has absolutely no taste to it - mass produced, I guess you could say. Pun intended. :) The salad dressing was kind of bitter and I didn't like it. I don't think I'd come back unless I was in the area and with someone else who wanted to go there. I love Mediterranean food! The food here is adequate (maybe slightly better), I find Luna Grill to be very overpriced. In the falafel wrap, it comes with 3 small falafel patties about an inch and a half in diameter. One can't even call them falafel balls. Because of their size, there's little flavor, only a crispy texture. The tabouli is good but far too expensive. I will not be returning because the meal puts me in a bad mood. The do offer the Persian seasoning, sumac, which was nice. But they only have about a tablespoon in the dispenser for all customers to share. The baklava is not House made or made daily. read more

Great Mediterranean fare on offer at Luna Grill. I enjoyed the chicken kabob and my wife liked the steak kabob. The portions are huge with both of us only managing to finish half the meal, with the rest planned for lunch tomorrow. The meat comes with salad and rice and pita bread all of which is very tasty. The meat is well prepared and tender while still succulent. The staff are friendly and obliging. The restaurant offers a clean no frills space which works for me and is well located near my local gym with plenty of parking. First off, I did a to go order. It was my first time coming here and I didn't know what to expect. Anyways, don't get the salads. For a "gourmet" salad, the portion that you get is not worth the price. A salad and a side of fries has never cost me over $18 before. That is until today. I wouldn't have minded the costs if the salad wasn't half the size of a salad that I could get at Panera Bread for half of the cost. If it were just that, then I wouldn't be too upset. However upon getting home, I realized that they forgot my chicken and pita bread. If I'm going to pay $5 for meat to be added to my salad then I would expect for it to be included with my order...and for it to be more meat than half of a chicken breast. They also gave me the wrong order of french fries. I'm livid. The only thing stopping me from giving this a 1 star review are the staff. They were very nice. Oh, there's right, they also forgot to give me my receipt. Lovely. Then again, I got a salad. What more can I expect? Pleasantly surprised!! I had no idea what to expect but this is a perfect addition to Mansfield. I got the filet beef kabob. All of their signature plates come with rice, pita bread, a salad and roasted carrots or tomatoes. I also tried their new garlic sauce. None of it disappointed. The pita bread is moist and has a great flavor to it. It's not dry or flour tasting at all. The garlic sauce is a strong but herby. It paired well with the beef kabob. Super cute spot. I am from Metro Detroit where we have authentic Mediterranean food. The food here was good but nothing compares to home. We were in the area visiting family and looking for a quick healthy alternative. The salmon was cooked perfectly, the pita bread was good and the lemonade selections were amazing. You cant see much seasoning on it but dont be fooled like I was, each bite was a punch in the mouth by the flavor gods themselves! Followed by a scoop of the basmati rice that I mixed with the cucumber yogurt sauce, the lightly sauced vinagrette and olive oil tomato salad provided a knockout combination of flavor.
