Absolutely love this place. The food is a 10/10 for me; I order something different each visit and everything has tasted superb. There's undoubtedly an authentic flavor to it all, not processed like many places in town. The kind employees make it a good experience as well. It is a little bit pricey, but you get what you pay for - everything tastes high quality. The restaurant itself is small and it's almost always packed on Sunday afternoons when I visit, but the outside seating is nice and clean. I'd suggest ordering out if it's a busy day because you might not find seating. All in all, one of my favorite restaurants in town. I had the Gyros plate today which came with rice and I upgraded to a Greek salad. The wife had a falafel wrap with fries and we both had the iced tea, which is very "clean" tasting black tea. The last time I had Gyros at a restaurant they were good but Luna has very good Gyros. Seasoned so well, every bite a savory num-num fest. Everything about the meal was good. Food took about the 10-15 minutes they quoted at the register. It was lunch time and people were coming in. My wife enjoyed her falafel. Fresh made is the best! I upgrade my rating from 4 to 5 stars because I'm going back again and again. I also downgraded the price range because they do offer less expensive sides and apps that you can make a small meal with. read more

First, let me start with the positive, I love the food. They have a great menu and everything I have had has been fresh and delicious. BUT, they have got to get control of their prices. Yesterday I ordered 2 Mediterranean chicken salads. I was asked if I wanted the chilled chicken, I asked if there were options. The guy at the register said "you can have a chicken kabob". Those exact words. I said "that would be great". He failed to mention that it would add 6.95 PER SALAD to my order. That would have been a nice heads up. So my 2 salads, an ice tea and an order of pita with hummus was $49. Pretty steep for a place that you walk up to the counter to order. This has happened before when I made the mistake of adding Salmon to a salad, it brought the price up to over $16. They have also stopped using real dinnerware and utensils. Now you get a plastic recyclable "to go" style container and cheap plastic mismatched utensils. I get it, COVID has changed things but come on...For a near $50 lunch I think I deserve a porcelain plate and metal utensils. Or at least quality plastic ones that don't scrape my lip when I eat. SECOND REVIEW: so, this time I tried the Salmon. Unfortunately, I (personally) wasn't impressed. I think it lacked salt and seasoning. The rice, again, was the same as last. I also had their Feta fries. I don't know exactly what I was expecting but I was disappointed, although the fries were crisp and I enjoyed that. I always love good Mediterranean food. I have been to another location and loved it so when I saw it here in Temecula I got excited! I've only ordered the Guros plate. It doesn't disappoint with a large portion, fluffy soft pita and the best rice. I ordered the pistachio baklava and wasn't in love with it. The bottom half seem to be over cooked making it hard to eat. Their customer service is great. Friendly staff who check on your table. I asked for a water cup once I sat down but the girl went out of her way to get it for me. That was really nice service. I hope this place stays for a long time it's such a good healthy place to eat! read more

This place gets 2 stars because at one point I enjoyed it, the food is great. However, these last 2 times have just cemented the decision of not going back. The 2nd to last time should've been enough but I decided to give it another chance. I had hyped up this place to one of my best friends and when we were there I realized she wasn't eating her salad. I asked why and she said it was "soggy" as if old and had a "weird taste". Later that evening she asked how I was feeling, to which I said "good, why?" To which she responded "I threw up". I apologized for taking her there, took her 2 days to feel better. After that, I had stayed away. Must I say this is a continuous lunch spot for my coworkers and I. Needless to say I kept hearing stories about one or another bad episode at this place as well. Finally, I gave in. I figured these weren't my stories and nothing bad had ever happened to me, right? WRONG! SO, for the first time ever, I used the app to order. Everywhere on that app it says "skip the line, order to go!" so I reluctantly thought "alright Luna, I shall order through your app". Everything was smooth sailing. At checkout,(on the app)it had an option to write a comment to which I wrote my name by which I go by, fully aware my credit card says my first name. And then.... I get to the actual place to pick up my to go order, which must I say I had ordered so that it be ready at a certain time. Yes, I used the option of the app that says "set a date and time". I walk in and there's a considerable line. I figured no worries, the app said to go to the "pickup to go order" line, (positive it was worded differently but it was around those guidelines). As soon as I approach the register the "Manager" says "I'm sorry there's a line that starts right there you're going to have to wait" to which I say "I have a pick up?" To which she responds "yeah, you're going to have to wait in line" she asked for no further information. So... I do. I didn't want to be THAT person. Eventually everyone in line gets a display of the managers people skills towards her employees. She catches a girl who's heading towards the bathroom (I'm assuming her shift was about to start) raises her voice saying "ah ah ah, you, yeah you! (Waving gestures) do that later I need you to walk this way and clock in now! Come on, hurry, faster, faster!" Then motions her to the register. By this time I'm at the front of the line, to which she says "name of the order?" I begin to say "yes, pick..." she interrupts saying "NAME!". I give her my name, remember? The one I wrote on the "add comment" box on the app at checkout? To where she looks at her bag on the counter and then her screen, she says " yeah, salad and..." by this time I've had enough, so if we're interrupting people I figured shoot me too! I say "nope, that's not mine". She then begins to read the receipt of the bag on her counter to which I reply "yes, that's it" then..... Her face changes realizing something she had missed. This is our exact exchange. Manager: (says name on receipt) Me: yes that's the name on my credit card Manager: all you had to say was it was an online order Me: I said "pick up" Manager: no... look at the receipt, and you said the wrong name. Me: I said the name I wrote on the comment box during checkout Manager: (cuts me off) look at the receipt, look at the receipt, all you had to say was online order Me: I did, I said pick up, and my name. Manager: no, look at your receipt, look at your receipt Me:(clearly annoyed) okay thanks, bye. *****whether or not I said "pick up" or "online order" to which the app says nothing about specifying, YOU shut me down the minute you saw me going to the register with the "pick up" sign failing to ask questions that were apparently CRUCIAL to your execution. YOU told me to get in line by cutting me off even AFTER I specified it was a pick up order. YOU without any concern verbally embarrassed your employee in front of a whole line of people. YOU apparently don't read the comments on ONLINE ORDERS to where you failed to see the name I had written, God forbid I would've wrote "peanut allergy" I'd be dead!;(Idk if they use peanuts, it's an example). YOU handled the situation so poorly with the whole "I'm right you're wrong, look at your receipt" situation as to make a point to WHY I made the simple exchange difficult for YOU. YOU failed at your customer service. I have deleted the app, I wish you guys well. read more

We absolutely love it here. It's always clean and service is always amazing. Juanita is the best staff member! She goes above and beyond and really just adds to the enjoyable experience. The chicken plate is delicious and the spicy hummus will make you wish you could eat there everyday. The only thing we weren't crazy about was the lemon chicken soup, it seemed a bit salty. My friend and I decided to try it out since it's fairly new and we both like to try new places. We had the spicy hummus, stuffed grape leaves, falafel, and the beef and chicken kabobs. Everything was very good. The spicy hummus was actually spicy and truly delicious. The service was the best. Very friendly and helpful. I have to say for lunch it's pricey but then again Mediterranean food always is pricey but it is good food. I know it varies from cook to cook but hopefully this place stays good. Seems to be a mixed bag of experiences at this Luna Grill. All 3 of the times I came to dine in, I didn't experience any problems. Though newly opened with staff in training, I found the product to be closely on par with their other locations. I've had a plate, hummus, and chicken kabob here. Presentation could have used some work, but it all tasted good. Prices and portions were as expected. Service was fine. The space was clean and furnishings/decor match the updated brand of the company. Location is conveniently central in the Temecula Promenade (near parking structure) so give it a try. There are other options in town for Mediterranean food, but Luna Grill is considerable. read more

Used my free kabob voucher from the last time which came out good but I was given all veggies with my dip trio Drove super far in traffic to get this and I was pretty sad to open my bag and see all veggies, no pita bread. We have eaten @ Luna locations in San Diego county, and love the food! We were so excited when this location opened because it is much closer to home. We immediately scheduled a luncheon with some friends of ours. Now, this review is not about the food because the food was amazing as always. My review today is about the level of customer service we were provided. Like many other reviewers, we were charged 3 times for our food instead of once. I tried calling over and over, but there was no answer. I finally found the time to drive down and go inside, and this is where the 1-star review begins... When I arrived, there was already a gentleman speaking with the manager who had the same issue. When he left, I walked up to the counter and said, "I think you are the man I need to speak with. I have the same issue as that guy." The manager (male) then went into a very corporate and robotic sounding statement. "First of all, I want to apologize that this happened. This is not our fault. This is all the merchant's fault. The situation is out of our hands. There is nothing we can do." (then a woman chimed in and said, "Yeah, it's not our fault and out of our hands. There's nothing we can do.") He then hands me a photocopy of a paper with a handwritten phone number and a complimentary meal voucher (just one voucher) and says, "You have to call this number. They are handling everything and we are not handling the situation here." Then he sort of motioned for me to leave. WHAT?! I worked in merchant card services previously, and I know that if you can accept money, you can refund money... on the same computer you accepted it on. Why would they not just refund my money right then and there? The loads of extra $$ they charged all of their customers was obviously in their account, so they had it to refund. I called the number, and spoke to Mary. Mary was very nice and assured me they were working on my issue. I expressed to her that I was already low on funds for the week, and with back to school happening I needed that extra cash for groceries and such for the week. She assured me my money would be in my account that night (last night). I woke up this morning, and lo and behold my money is not there. I still have all 3 charges on my account. Since Luna broke my trust, I am now going to call my bank and take up the issue with them. My friend (who had the same issue) called her bank, and was immediately credited the funds. Now, I've worked in customer service my entire life, and when a situation like this arrives it is an opportunity for the business to "WOW" their customers and step up to the plate to take care of them. Luna Grill Temecula did not step up to the plate. They had one shot to blow my mind, exceed my expectations, and gain me as a customer for life. They failed. I am not upset that the issue happened. I understand mistakes happened. I am not satisfied with the manner in which they are handling the situation. As a customer, it is a huge inconvenience to be without that much $ for now 5 days and counting. I do not care who's fault the issue is. All I know is I spent $ @ Luna Grill in Temecula, they charged me 3 times, they were not willing to rectify my situation in-house, and I am still without the money. You had ONE shot to get this right, Luna, and you failed. My family and I will not be coming back to this location. We will continue to go out of our way to drive to the San Diego locations. read more

Negative 5 stars if I could!!!! Crooks! Do not patronize this establishment! I am shocked to see that people actually got free food vouchers out of this fiasco! I bought dinner to go for my family of 8 for a total of $95.15 food was average at best. Up charged for a Greek salad substitution with the meal, $4 extra to sub out the chicken in the Mediterranean chicken salad for gyros! Bland food not worth the premium pricing. For the same price I can feed my family, WITH drinks at the Greek Corner Cafe in Carmel Mountain Ranch and actually have a meal that I would pay more $ for and say it's worth it. Found out today that I was charged 3 times for a total of $285.45 for that meal! So I went over to rectify this today. Manager was friendly, took my information and said that it has been resolved and will be 48 hours! That was it!!! ANY other place would just credit my account the $190.30 and given vouchers equal to the amount spent. Wait for it........any minute I'll get the "It's not our fault it was the credit card processing company's fault, but if you could please leave now so we can rip off even more people as quickly as possible before they realize what we did, call this number and they will tell you again how it's not our fault, nothing we can do about it at this time, we are working to resolve it as soon as possible" My guess is they are hoping people will not realize the triple charge and keep the extra $$$ NEVER spending another $.01 at ANY Luna Grill EVER AGAIN!!!! Let me just start by saying you should pay in cash if you if u plan on visiting this location and keep an eye for stray hairs in your food. The quality of service at this location is horrible. I have eaten at locations in San Diego and always had a great experience, so when I saw a location was opening up close to home in Temecula, I was ecstatic. I went on opening day with bae, and come to find out the wait time was horrible. And not because they were extremely busy, there were barely 10 people all together in the place. When we finally got our food after about 20 mins, there was an eyelash or small hair on the carrots (I regret not snapping a pic). I should've taken this as a sign. The weekend comes by and we went back to give it another shot on Saturday. Everything this time worked out great even with it being busy, or so we thought. On Monday, we noticed duplicate pending charges. We spoke with the manager and he told us there were issues with there systems and there IT was trying to resolve it. All the pending/duplicate charges have posted, and we haven't heard back about refunding the amounts. About $50 for both trips turned into $200. THEY'RE F@*#ING CROOKS. read more

I've been here a handful of times now and every other time has been pretty good. Our family loves gyros and tzatziki (yogurt)sauce. Tonight I went in and ordered 2 adult plates and 2 kid plates to go. Yay for kids eat free Tuesdays! Got home and our beloved sauce was moldy and smelled like nail polish remover. Gross! I took pictures. It even looks bad.Called to inform them they are serving bad sauce. I asked for a refund and I'm waiting for a call back. I visited Luna Grill in Temecula on Thursday July 28th, along with a bunch friends of mine. The food was decent, and the new restaurant was nicely decorated, but this review isn't about any of that. My friends and I all paid separate, since this was a casual lunch. Since two registers were open, two of my friends ordered from the register on the right, and myself and two of my other friends ordered from the left register that day. As is stands now on August 4th my debit card was charged 3 times for the same transaction, and the two friends who also used the same terminal were also triple charged. It seems that something is wrong with that terminal. One of those friends actually went into the restaurant to speak to the manager, but instead of just reversing the charges and apologizing, they gave her a phone number and a voucher of some kind for a meal. Which is not really helpful to her since because of their mistake, she actually has bank fees associated with it because the triple charge put her account into overdraft, and needs that fixed immediately. I will be calling the General Manager tomorrow, and I hope this company will make good on their mistake. By looking at some of the other reviews, it sure looks like they have quite a bit of people to make this up to. I just hope that everyone that patronized Luna Grill checks their activity, because I know they aren't being proactive and trying to contact their customers! read more

OK, I just want to say that I have eaten here only once on the evening of 7/30/2016. My credit card has been charged FIVE times for this meal. I called Luna and their headquarters both yesterday and today and was told that they were having issues and it was happening to everyone that dined their over the weekend. They offered NOTHING to me except an "I'm sorry and we are working on it." Meanwhile, the charges keep coming and I have to call my bank every day to dispute them. Get it together LUNA, you need to have a better solution for this. Some people do not have hundreds of dollars to spare for an undetermined length of time until you can figure out your issues. NEVER COMING BACK!! Update on 8/8/2016 - After promises that my card would be credited on 8/5/2016 from Ryan of Luna, another charge posted on 8/6 and my bank shut my card for fraudulent activity. Called Luna on Monday 8/8 and they never returned my call. I am hoping this deters anyone from giving them the time of day since they cannot rectify issues with their customers in a timely manner or be honest. read more
