Got the la cabana torta and it was bomb. It was huge too so I'm glad I shared it . Try their Fresca too

Chicken enchilada, and cheese enchilada, with red sauce, beans and rice, and a horchata. Sooooooo goooood
    Aimee C.

Holy shinoli the enchiladas in red sauce are stupid good. That sauce is on point. And the pass my litmus with fantastic beans and rice (especially the rice... So good). The service was quick, and delightfully friendly. Definitely high on my list for quality Mexican food. Come try it, and let me know what you think.

Ordered some food to go (salad and juice) Also, when inside the store picking up my food, I purchased guacamole (which was sour and watery) - will not order the guacamole ever again - I've ordered it in the past and it was solid and fresh everyday , not sure what happened this time ???

Ordered the Incredible Hulk (Protein smoothie) and the Vampire (Smoothie), both were super good! Great after a workout! Super refreshing! Also ordered a steak fajita breakfast burrito since I wanted to try their food. I would say it was pretty good! Very big and filling too, def worth it. Came with eggs, steak, cheese, bell peppers, and onions. They also gave a side of red and green salsa. I definitely enjoyed the red sauce more! Overall gotta try!

4 oz of mexican rice for $3.55 at Freshco

I really like Freshco's fish tacos and want to keep supporting them as a local spot. But today I was honestly shocked when I was charged $3.55 for about 4 oz of Mexican rice (see photo). Just down the street at Fantastic you can get 16 oz for the same price. I understand food costs have gone up, but 4 oz mexican rice in a ranch container for 3.55...I just can't get behind. Hoping the owner sees this because the food is great, but the pricing on some items makes zero sense.

    1. The smoothies were delicious! 2. The spot has fun casual vibes! 3. Indoor and outdoor seatings are available! 4. The staff were friendly and timely with my drinks! 5. Parking is easy since the lot does not get crowded! Note: You can request No Sugar Added to the smoothie so you would only get the natural sweetness! Carne Asada Burrito but asked for wet burrito

Love this place!! This place serves amazing mexican food! Came here on a weekday and had a lunch break around 10:30am. Nothing was really open except here! Glad this place opens early! I love the various food options here. In a single week, came here 3 times because food is amazing. Got wet burrito twice and got two tacos combo one time. Good taste great and portion size is good! A bit pricey but it's all worth it. Interior is clean and modern. Staffs were very friendly and when you dine-in, they bring the food to you. There's plenty of parking spaces outside, you will never see it full. Really good mexican food here and I could eat here everyday.

Black out toxins (smoothie) w/ activated charcoal

Hidden in a unassuming strip mall Westminster is this great mix of healthy and heart hazardous food items all under one roof. You can get fruit smoothies, vegan items, and fresh salads. You can also get carne asada burritos with Hot Cheetos stuffed inside them and birria tacos with cups of au jus. I got the Blackout Toxins smoothie with fresh fruit and activated charcoal. I also got a pulpo taco (octopus) and a birria taco to round out my diet. The pulpo taco was the most surprising. Fresh octopus with onions, cilantro, and cheese in a fluffy corn tortilla. It was $4.99, but the size of this one and the quesabirria tacos were really large. They were like mini burritos. Definitely a value. The birria was rich, juicy, tender and full of flavor. I dipped it before each bite, but the taco itself was enough on its own. I can't believe I have been driving past this place for many other overpriced options in the OC. This place is my new go-to spot for Mexican food and mariscos. Can't wait to try the shrimp cocktails on my next visit.

I decided to give this place a try because the photos looked great. Don't get me wrong, the food was good, but I ordered a rice chicken bowl. What I got was basically a salad--with just a spoonful of rice and the rest filled with lettuce. If they were out of rice, they could have let me know, and I would've understood, but instead, they served it to me like this without saying anything.

What it looks like from the outside.

The açaí bowl was extremely delicious 10/10. I will for sure be back. The campechana fries were 10/10. The service was quick the server was very polite they were not busy. So if you go when it's busy you might have a longer wait. (Obviously)

Live very close, tried it, Solid!…read more I was hungry and a fish and shrimp taco are BIG! As their menu explicitly states, and they are priced accordingly, around 5-5.50 each. I got fish, shrimp, and a potato taco since supposedly that was good too, it was very crispy and flavorful, my favorite though is from The Corner in HB for a mashed potato taco ;) SHRIMP: think this was primo - shrimp felt warm, big, juicy, flavorful, there was hotsauce on it as the menu states iirc. Might consider getting TWO of these instead of the fish. FISH: solid! Comparable to the ensenada fish tacos in fullerton I think? Or maybe that one is slightly better, been awhile. Overall - solid spot, not the cheapest but the quality is good and they don't skimp on protein. Not as good as tacos los cholos but that's further away, this is next door and again - they specialize in different meats!

The lady behind the counter was most helpful in answering questions and navigating me through their menu. They will hand you a whole bottle of salsa to use at your leisure which is just lovely! Decided to drop in and was delighted to know their Taco Tuesday special is $1 street tacos for a select handful of 8 protein fillings and $2 for 6 other choices. Even their regular price is still very reasonable. There was definitely a line around 6pm but it moved quickly. Love that they also have a self service taco condiments bar and area on the side of their truck where you can top your food with the freshly sliced or pickled veggies/chilis and slather on various taco sauces to your heart's content. Especially loved that they use a rotating gyro style meat grill for some of their meats. I also noticed they had another truck/van parked nearby where one of the staff would go to replenish some of their supplies for their taco truck. What an efficient way to keep up with demand by having a mobile/secondary vehicle that you can use for storage of stock to keep up with the high demand. I loved all the street tacos that I tried: carnitas, fried fish filet, al pastor, carne asada. Flavorful and done right! Definitely recommend this spot any day of the week when they're open, but especially for their Taco Tuesday specials.

The enchilada was saucy and cheesy and stuffed with huge chunks for chicken white meat. The taco was in a crunchy fresh fried shell and packed with shredded beef, lettuce and cheese. Chips with Guacamole - They pour on the guacamole over the chips and there was plenty so that each chip had plenty of guac. The chips were lightly salted corn chips that were medium light thickness. From the moment we walked in, we were warmly greeted. Since it was our first visit, we took our time looking over the menu, and the cashier was incredibly patient and never made us feel rushed. We ended up ordering a burrito combo, a chile relleno combo, a hard taco and enchilada combo, two taco combos, and a few horchatas. The portions are definitely generous, and everything we tried was packed with flavor. The restaurant itself is clean, spacious, and has plenty of seating, making it a comfortable place to enjoy a meal. While we were waiting for our food, one of the owners came over and chatted with us about the restaurant's history. He shared that after the original owner passed away, many of the longtime cooks and staff decided to come together and open this new location, continuing the recipes and traditions they had been serving for years. Hearing that story, along with the genuine warmth and hospitality we experienced, made us appreciate the restaurant even more. It's not often that you find great food paired with such sincere customer service. They made us feel like regulars from our very first visit. If you're looking for authentic Mexican food, generous portions, and a family-owned business that truly cares about its customers, Los Grandes Originales is definitely worth a visit.
