We had the Fish Wild Ling Cod Fish & Chips and the pacific White Sea bass and clam chowder! The food itself was good, however I feel like it can be better. Fries tasted a little stale, sea bass was dry and not as juicy, and clam chowder smelled and tasted a little funky (I'm pretty sure it smells like whatever device they're using to cook it needs to be replaced because it kinda smelled rancid - I know because I've done that before). We have been to this lure since has opened and I'm sad to say the food quality has slowly declined over the years :(. When they first opened it was hard to find something that wasn't above average on the menu, everything tasted good, and the recipes were fun and creative. During our most recent visit everything landed a bit bland :(. even something as simple as fish and chips was overly greasy and the fish was rubbery :/. Came here on a Sunday for their HH (like I said I would ;) ) which btw runs from 11:30-5pm. Plenty of time to check it out and I can definitely say that their tacos and clam chowder are my favorite. Sadly the calamari was a bit disappointing but that's okay, everything else made up for it. Normally I tend to find that HH menus offer the restaurant's popular items on there and for a great price, right? Well I was sad to see that they do offer their crab cakes but for a $1 off!? It was spacious and comfortable, however, it was quite loud. I feel like it'd be nearly unbearable on a crowded day. The staff was friendly and accommodating, but the service was extremely slow. I ordered the fish & chips and both of my friends had the sand dabs. My meal was meh. The coleslaw didn't have much flavor and the tartar sauce was awful. I used cocktail sauce and ketchup for the fish, which was mostly tough. So, I was disappointed in my choice. After, we each got a slice of key lime pie. One bite and I put my fork down. The texture was off and the balance of sweet and tangy was way off...it was extremely sweet with very little lime flavor. Perhaps a bad batch of curd? I don't know. All-in-all, spending time with my friends was enjoyable. If I had to go back, I'd order something else, however, I don't think returning will be my idea as this experience left me totally underwhelmed. read more

Love the food here however disappointed with the customer service and was injured. Came in for a quick bite in between errands and sat at the oyster bar. I was by myself and just on the phone with a friend and suddenly I got hit in the eye with an oyster shell. The guy that was shucking the oysters didn't even see... he was talking to another customer and I tried to let him know what happened but he kept dismissing me. Ordered oysters during happy hour and each of them were great (plump and sweet) until I had a mouth full of dead oyster that tasted like rotten milk and poop. I spat it out immediately but the taste lingered and it was a terrible experience. You can see in the picture I took before eating the oysters it was pretty much a spoiled oyster compared to the others. Wish I was paying more attention to it and the smell but I did drown it in lemon juice before eating it. I gave this place 2 stars because the tequila lime pasta and lobster ravioli was good and theres nothing bad to say about the service. As a New England native, I have a deep appreciation for a good raw bar, and Lure definitely delivers on the seafood front. The raw bar setup is solid, and you can tell they're committed to fresh, sustainable seafood. The service here is genuinely amazing, the staff really knows their stuff and makes you feel taken care of throughout the meal. And let me tell you, the drinks from the bar are absolutely killer, perfectly crafted cocktails that complement the seafood beautifully. The atmosphere is exactly what you want in a seafood restaurant, warm and inviting whether you're dining in the summer or winter. There's something about the space that just makes you want to settle in and enjoy a long, leisurely meal with good company. But here's where my New England roots start showing, I really wish they would expand the menu to include more regional classics. Where's the clam roll? How about some little neck clams? I'd love to see more lobster dishes, especially something like a proper baked lobster. The current food selection feels a bit generic for a place that clearly has the capability to do something really special. They have the raw bar foundation and the commitment to quality seafood, but the menu could use more personality and regional flair. And for the love of god, this place desperately needs a reservation system! They only take reservations for parties of 8 or more, which means everyone else is stuck with the walk in situation. If they're not going to do full reservations, at least give us an online waiting list so we can put our names in and get a realistic sense of timing. Standing around waiting for a table at a place this popular gets old fast, especially when you factor in the absolutely unbearable Vineyards parking situation. Nothing makes a wait for dinner more frustrating than having to circle the parking lot multiple times just to find a spot, then still face an uncertain wait time once you finally make it inside. Despite these frustrations, I keep coming back because when everything aligns, the quality is there. The drinks, the service, and the atmosphere create a really enjoyable experience. I just wish they'd step up the menu creativity and figure out a better way to manage the crowds. read more
