Stopped into this store purely on impulse and now I am hooked. I was greeted by some excellent customer service from the team there and Dani took me on as her personal customer. She asked me a number of questions about what I was looking for in a skin care and then made some wonderful suggestions. She sampled many products without hesitation and spent a significant time with me even though all she was sending me home with were samples (and an awesome catalog to look through which I love). I cannot say enough great things about this shop! Saw the store yesterday and went in on a whim. The girl who greeted me (Allison?) was genuinely nice and let me browse without being right on top of me like some sales people tend to be (looking at you, sephora and every other makeup counter). If I had a question she was immediately available but at no time did I feel stalked or ignored. This alone would make me come back and shop again! Meanwhile: products are so delightful smelling and I'm having to exercise copious amounts of self control. I grab a business card and leave with promises to return. And so today I came back because I was kicking myself for not having bought anything. The girl who helped me today, Melanie, was also a gem. Informative and suggestive and friendly and helpful. This is the closest Lush to me so I go here often. I've had mixed experiences here. I've had some really good experiences and some not so good ones. There's been times when the staff is really attentive and nice and other times when the staff doesn't even greet customers at the door and won't help you until you're at the register. This place is REALLY hard to find. At least if you've never been to this mall. I honestly don't even have any tips on how to find it. Just keep it at, you'll get there eventually. But the location itself is AWESOME. I may be wrong but this seems like one of the biggest Lush stores in the area. Anyway the selection is the largest I've ever seen and the staff is awesome. Because Lush is awesome they really train their employees in customer service, but sometimes they can be a little pushy or annoying. This place was perfect though. I've been into lush many times, wasn't a great fan before but stopped in the other day to browse. I was actually surprised that they've upped their game and there's tons of new items for both men & women. Plus hair! It is a tad on the pricier side but not based on the quantity. I love mask's so I grabbed 2 fresh ones (one you have to keep in the fridge otherwise they'll go bad) to try and a shaving cream for the hubby. The fresh mask was $7.95 and i got about 5 treatments out of it. The shaving cream since it was used on the face lasted about a month - not sure how many applications but he did say he got a much closer shave and less ingrowns. i bought the smaller size for $14.95 i believe. On a plus, If you take back 5 of the empty pots, you get a fresh face mask for free on your next visit. I'll be going back to try the hair products. read more

I bought a couple items two days ago and immediately started getting a reaction on my face. I came in to return and my card for some reason wasn't allowing the funds to be added back onto it. My employee was 1006337(I think that's the original worker) was so patient and tried several times. She called one supervisor (I'm guessing) and this supervisor was short and told me to call my bank that they can't do anything. Okkkkkk. Not very nice tone or helpful. I must add that when my original employee was relating the question to said supervisor, gender neutral pronouns were used which I VERY much appreciated. People usually get it wrong for me so it seems like there was some type of training or this employee was just aware. Awesome! Another supervisor heard what was happening and quickly resolved the issue! Yay! I really overall had a great experience at this location (I usually only shop Santa Anita mall) and will def come back and tell my lush obsessed fam as well. read more

So of course the products are awesome. And there are other places to buy them (like online). But I came here because I wanted to buy a bunch of gift cards for my employees and they charge stupid shipping prices to do that online. It was kind of early, but the doors were opened, so I walked in the store and was rudely told "ACTUALLY, WE ARE CLOSED." Damn. My bad. There are no signs, so I ask "when do you open?" The reply? "In 8 minutes." 8 minutes. So I left. And spent a bunch of money at another store, all the while being annoyed at the cold, rude "welcome" I got at lush. I debated not going back for the gift cards. But I did. I went in and got them and went out. And they were much friendlier this time. But damn....0 customer service this morning. A simple "I'm so sorry...we aren't going to technically open for another 8 minutes, but please feel free to browse around until then!" would have made ALL the difference. And I would have taken that time to find even more gifts and probably spent a few hundred more dollars. But instead, sephora (down the hall) got that money. read more

I am fairly new to the world of Lush, and let me tell you, so far I love it! I began using their face moisturizer (Imperialis) and it has treated my skin with kindness. Since I really been enjoying the moisturizer, I took my mom to get some samples to see which one worked for her skin. My mom really liked one of the samples but I couldn't see the name in the sample container anymore because it wore off. I purchased the moisturizer for my mom and I ended up getting the wrong one, so I exchanged it for the correct one. When I returned the moisturizer, somehow I didn't get a refund on my card after 2-3 weeks. When I went back to address the situation, I met Sofia. Sofia was not only friendly but also very understanding. Since the moisturizer was a gift for my mom, I no longer had the receipt. Sofia helped me with the situation and here I am now, very happy with the costumer service. Thank you Sofia, I appreciate you. read more

I like Lush; there are lots of pros with Lush: endless selection of bath products (it would be hard to NOT find something to like); no testing on animals; and plenty of opportunities to sample products. If you have someone who is hard to shop for and are on a budget, get them something fun here (e.g., bath bomb). It's cheaper than a spa massage but more fun that your typical lotion/soap gift. read more

If I could give this place zero stars I would. Came at 5pm on a Sunday, three girls were working the floor. I lurked around the bath bombs for a good 5 min, noone approached me and asked for help. That's cool, I can help myself - all good. But then I picked the bombs I wanted and went to pay. Stood at the cash wrap for another 4 minutes, noone even looked my way! I wanted to pull one of the girls aside or get their attention, but I was so amazed by the poor service and lack of scanning the store that I wanted to see what would happen. Nothing. My whole life I've been trying to not get into this cult following for Lush Cosmetics since I've never even been into all that jazz for the fact that it all seemed so complicated and time consuming. I'm a really lazy person when it comes to skincare/makeup but now that I gave Lush a chance that's all gonna change. I'm in my mid 20s and I realized that I need to start caring for my acne prone face because I don't want to end up with scars when I'm older. I've been experiencing stress/adult acne & have developed combination skin along the way (my chin is super dry and flaky while my cheeks & forehead are oily). I've tried all sorts of drugstore products and they never work or just make it worse by drying out my skin that I end up scratching in my sleep which makes my breakouts horrible looking. I was bored one day and just decided to kill time here while I waited for my car wash. The guy working at the time was really laid back and let me browse for like an hour although he checked up on me a couple times. I ended up just buying a lip balm that I fell in love with. I did some research online on their skincare products and a lot of people with acne problems swear by them. I decided to go back the next day and try them out in store. I met Sophia this time and I wanna just take a second to rave about her.. Usually I hate going to cosmetic shops because of the people who aren't very welcoming to people who have no clue what the heck to do with certain products. I'm one of these people. I want to point out that I went in 15 mins before they were about to close and she did not seem at all annoyed or bothered to help me out. She did not judge me for not knowing squat about how to apply things, she instead demonstrated and answered all my questions. When she helped me color match my tint/foundation she knew I have a tough time finding the perfect match because we had similar complexions, usually I'm embarrassed when this happens to me but she made me feel comfortable & helped me out as she found the perfect match after trying out a couple colours. I was only interested in getting some sample pots to take home but after we tried a couple different facial cleansers in store I just knew I could trust in her decision that best fit my needs. I ended up buying the Herbalism cleanser & Imperials moisturizer. I will definitely be back for more goodies, I literally wanted everything they have to offer. Their mission is pretty awesome too, it makes me feel good to know I'm supporting fresh handmade & eco-friendly products. I've only used my cleanser twice and I already feel the difference, it's not a gimmick folks! For the first time in forever I feel confident in my skin. read more

Went in today hoping to buy a White Elephant gift for my workplace, a gift card for my friend who is OBSESSED with this store, and PART of a gift for my dear mother. I was helped by a gentleman/boy/young man/wisdom-teeth enthusiast named Taylor. I tend to be a difficult customer, but he dealt with me pretty well considering I don't know anything about bath products and have no idea what my mother is interested in AT ALL. I don't personally use Lush products, since I tend to prefer to spend money on hoodies and diet coke, BUT I left with a good amount of gifts and some cute little samples, that could possibly turn me into a fan. I recently converted ALL of my beauty/grooming products over to Lush (I'm talking shampoo, conditioner, moisturizer, face cleanser, night cream, lip scrub, hair mask, face mask, EVERYTHING) and I could not be happier. My hair feels better than it has in my entire life, the red spots on my face are evening out and I've gotten more compliments in the past week than I can remember. I walked into the Sherman Oaks Lush store not knowing really anything about the brand. Jordan was incredible and walked me through everything from what goes into the products to how to use them and recommended things based on what I told her about my skin and hair care routine. I've been back about 4 times in the past two weeks after running out of my samples and wanting to buy the full sized items and each time the staff has been wonderful, checking in to make sure I'm still happy with everything I purchased. It's hard to pick one favorite thing out of my new Lush haul so I think I'll have to limit it to three - Coalface, Enzymion and Retread. Coalface has COMPLETELY changed the way I wash my face. It makes my skin feel exfoliated without killing my pores which is a huge win for my sensitive skin. Enzymion might be the best moisturizer I've ever tried. It's light weight (perfect for LA summers), acts as a makeup primer and keeps my T-zone from being oily throughout the day (which has been a problem of mine since I was a teen.) Last but certainly not least, Retread has revamped my dry hair back to life again. I had used Pantene my entire life and didn't realize what I'd been missing. I have thick long straight hair and now have volume and movement and it's never felt better. All in all, I LOVE my new Lush products!!! Best choice I ever made. read more

This place rocks. The company is one I fully support; it's sustainable, vegan, they recycle all containers and don't test on animals. All products are also handmade! This Canada-based company has a smattering of stores around the LA area and I ADORE their products! They all smell amazing and feel luxurious. The staff are always knowledgeable and educated on the ingredients in their products, and always very nice. The stores smell like heaven and they are always clean. My favorite products are the bath bombs, body conditioner, and custom soap bars. Try nearly any product there in the store with the staff. This is such a wonderful LUSH shop with some of the sweetest staff that I've ever met! In particular, Sophia, Jess, Dakota, and Amanda are so helpful, warm, and kind. I always smile when I see them! You can tell that the employees aren't trying to push sales yet truly care about answering any questions that you might have. I'm at this shop about once or twice per month, and each experience has been very pleasant. I've been here when the shop is busy, and they've never made me feel rushed. That said, if I ever visit during a slow period, they've always given me my space to explore products in the shop but are nearby if I ever need anything. I've asked them to cut slabs of soap for me - def not a fun request. Soap can be difficult to cut; I don't mind buying soap at 30 bucks per pound. However I want it in a shape which I can use. My first experience at Lush in Sherman Oaks was far better than I anticipated. I had never been into any of their stores and I went to buy a lip scrub that was highly recommended to me by a few people. I was greeted by LAUREN and she helped me with the different types of lip scrubs. We moved on to lip balms and because I connected with her so well, she showed me around the store. I was with my daughter and she spent so much time getting us the right products and suggested we try a few other things and gave us plenty of samples. She was sweet and patient as my six year old "tested" their products. She made us feel completely comfortable the entire time we were shopping. Lauren was quite knowledgeable with both the ingredients and the benefits of each product she showed us in the store.
