Came on invitation from a close friend and was my first trip back to a nail salon In Many months like most people. Atmosphere was very clean and they had an extensive menu for services. I really liked that they had precautions set up before you are even seen (temperature checks,survey quiz disclaimer etc) I enjoyed my pedicure it was very relaxing and Laura did a great job on my pedicure and later my nails. I was disappointed in how a service tech handled a situation with my inviters daughter who was accidentally scratched during service but it took the intervention from other team members to help provide service on something that could have been resolved with follow through on her part and watching her give attitude and then walk away was extremely disappointing to see. The manager and other team members handled the situation professionally and with compassion which I appreciated seeing. My lower review has to do with this and also pricing which was almost 20 dollars higher than what I pay when I get the same services done once including tip. Once seated I was offered a complimentary beverage of my choice from a list of multiple libations both alcoholic and nonalcoholic. I soaked my feet and selected my polish for the deluxe pedicure while my technician finished her prior service. I only waited maybe 5 mins before she was finished, and she greeted me and asked if I had made my color selection. She engaged in great conversation, told me about her and her daughters wonderful time at the Taylor swift concert, was very detailed in her work, and gave a wonderful massage. I paid $65 (not including tip) and felt it was worth every penny. I will definitely be back again and will be recommending this place to everyone I know. read more

My daughter wanted to come here for her birthday to get her nails done. I got a pedicure. I must say, it's probably the worst I have ever had. First she made my nail bleed by trimming it on the side and then before I could say anything, she used what looked to be a dirty brush on my nails. The paint job is one of the worst I have ever seen. My first gel color was too lite, got a different one and that just wiped right off after being under the light, 3rd color was the charm. The music is this place is horrendous. Being the only 2 people in here, we asked that they change it. I'm pretty sure they just skipped the song. Every song was swearing, f-bombs, thinking about murder, the N word. I'm sorry for a relaxing place in gladstone, this music DOES NOT belong. The technician said they played "pop music". This is not pop music. This is rap, and angry rap at that. The decor is nice and the place is very clean. I had an appointment for two mani/ pedis and they were not able to start both of us at the same time. I would say about a 30 min difference. They did give my friend some kind of jelly soak in her foot bath at no additional charge for the wait. My primary issue is that the lady put three coats of shellac on my right hand and two on my left.. so my hands do not look the same shade of the color. She also was not turning on the UV light consistently between coats of polish. Two stars for decor and cleanliness. They could improve on seeing customers on time and being consistent in the work. ***Update #1- after coming home one of my friends toenails didn't appear to be touched during the pedicure. (Added photo for reference) ***Update #2- Manager invited me back to have my nails redone. I went in today and the technician could see the difference in color and redid them. Manager offered to fix my friends toe also but would have been a waste of time. I trimmed it myself and filed all of her fingernails to a smooth round shape. I wanted a Christmas set and the man in chair 1 (don't know his name) totally understood the designs I wanted and we got started. I chose the dip powder and I was excited to see that they had a huge selection of colors including the perfect glittery red & green for Christmas. He shaped my nails in an almond shape as I had a wanted, and he paid close attention to detail in shaping them which I appreciate. The designs on each nail came out so great! My friend and I went in for a full set and pedicure. I am very happy with my FULL set but I am not happy with my pedicure. I went in on Saturday (1-2-21) and the day after my big right toe was hurting. I took my sock off and I had pus and blood coming out the side of my big toe. I had just had a pedi a month ago and my toes were fine. It was a cut that looked like a water blister with pus and blood coming out. I called them and they said they don't do refunds on pedicures and if I wanted my FULL refund I needed to come in and get my FULL set that I got THAT day OFF. My nails aren't the problem it's my pedicure.... I was not happy. I said if I come in with a doctors note can you do something ? And Rachel basically said they would have to see the note and go from that point forward. SO needless to say I am not happy, I wasn't taken care of when I mentioned my toe, I'm coming in with a doctors note & I said I wouldn't return. I left a $40 tip then went back and got $20 because I realized I gave them $40 and for them to not want to compensate me for my toe is ridiculous and I'm not happy about it. I will bring my doctors note and I want them to compensate me for my pain and suffering. UPDATE: (1-6-21) instead of them wanting to fix the problem , I am now going to small claims court and BBB. Paid way too much to be treated the way I was treated. Rachel basically said she didn't trust what I had to say and that she believes her nail tech over me. Took in pics and a doctors note (that said I had a cut on the lateral side of my big toe) about infection. On oral antibiotics. And was told that what ever happens after the pedicure was MY fault and said that my nail tech didn't cut me because no blood showed up and she tried to bring up my other toe that was covered because I had to get it removed (which had nothing to do with it) They won't accept fault that something THEY have done may have caused my bacterial infection. Again , paid too much to be told that it was my fault and now I have to jump through a bunch of hoops just to (hopefully) get a refund. Updated review: Changing to 1 star due to business owners response. Apparently this is too hard to comprehend verbally and in writing. The owner, like their technician (Zenaida), does not listen. I didn't ask for my ingrown toenails to be cut but to NOT cut them so I wouldn't get them! Let me repeat so Luxor nails understands: I didn't ask for Zenaida to cut at the corner - she did that on her own without my permission and against my request - I asked for a simple straight across cut on my big toenails. In addition, not sure how I stressed her out when she did so herself by not following the simplest of instructions: basic mani and pedi and not cut my toenail nails at the corner. She was disorganized from the start, I didn't have a cushion for my arm and she didn't brush down her station before we started. This should have been the easiest for her all day - seriously just a simple mani/pedi. I'll be sure to take my business somewhere else where they can (1) follow their clients instructions; (2) provide excellent customer service; & (3) provide a guilt free nail experience by not watching chemical fumes breathed in by toddlers -- none of which can be found here. BTW: This wasn't a customers kid. It was one of the tech's and owner's kid --2 of them, a boy & girl. Finally, I got a "discount" because ZENAIDA forgot to do the entire service. Please stop lying. Be mindful of their fake reviews!! ------- Gave this place a shot since it is SO close to my house & brand new. This is an odd place and I won't be going back. The environment is one that is a bit chaotic. During my entire stay, there were toddlers of the owners(?) being babysat inside, which I don't think is too safe for those little lungs to be breathing in a nail salon's fumes. I felt guilty just sitting there. The biggest issue that I have is that the tech didn't remember anything I said even though there was no communication issue - just plain forgetfulness or preoccupation with something else. I felt like I was at a beauty school with a barely passing student. Services requested:: For mani: No polish. Plain manicure. For pedi: Cut the nail straight across, I said it three times. I made hand gestures. It started with my mani, where she decided to scratch the hell out of my nails because "that's they way we do it here" when applying nail polish "so it sticks better". WTH. First, I said no polish but yet she preps my nail for polish. I don't do fake nails anymore for a reason. For the mani finale - she didn't know what a buff and shine was. She was going to leave my nails like that or I was forced to do nail polish. On top, she forgot my hot towel and the special scrub. Admits it! I said that's fine, just charge me for basic package - she says once they start, they can't change it. I start to say that she forgot and she said that she'd only charge an extra $5. Onto the pedi. I ask for a regular pedi. Nothing special. Just cut the toes straight across because I have issues with getting ingrown toe nails. So, I'm trying to relax in the chair, and then I feel a sharp pain on my right toe- and yelped out in pain. She cut the darn corner of my toenail when I said to cut it straight. She proceeds to tell me that it'll help make it better. I said, I've gone to the foot doctor and I need to cut it straight. She looks at me like I'M the idiot. I'm too darn nice and the Xmas spirit had me. I said everything was fine and gave a 20% tip. I don't like to cause a scene. I'm sharing my story because Yelp has a warning that there were a lot of positive reviews from the same IP address. I wanted to ensure that there is a legit review. read more

If I could give 0 stars I would. This is by far the worst pedicure I have ever had. The staff was nice when we walked in but quickly changed their attitude when I asked for a regular pedicure with regular nail polish. I felt like I was being punished the entire time. My friend and I had an appointment at 11:45. We were sat down at around 11:55 and were out the door by 12:15 (this included over 5 minutes sitting to let our nails dry.) My nails were already short, but the nail tech did not file or shape them at all. She barely pushed back my cuticles or scrubbed my feet. The massage which clearly states 7 minutes on the sign, ended up being about 1 minute all together. I had polish everywhere and had to clean up my nails afterwards. The nail techs never came back to check on us or help us put on our sandals as they usually would. When we were asked how the pedicure was, we answered honestly and there was no apology or anything to fix our experience. They just rung us up and told us to have a nice day. Today was my first time trying this nail salon and I must admit I will not be returning. I called and made an appointment for a full set and pedicure, honestly I would have been better off just walking in so don't bother making an appointment. Once my feet were finished they told me I had to rather leave or wait 30-40 minutes for my nails. Ok no big deal so I left and came back 40 minutes later. I feel disappointed with how my nails turned out, I have air bubbles on 7/10 of my nails and paid $100 for a regular full set and regular pedi, a little over priced and definitely not worth the crappy job!
