I decided to try Luxor Nails off a whim from some work I had seen posted on FB. My first time in I was sold - friendly staff and pleasant with everyone. With times like these, good customer service can be hard to find. Joe did my nails and let me tell you..... she is worth the added 15 minutes I drive to see her! My nails are always on point with shape, length, symmetry. The apex is always 100%. I just sit there and let her do her thing where at my old nail place I had to constantly ask for the bumps to be filed down and buffed out. Thanks Joe! My tech Wendy glued one of my tips on crooked and I had to verbally let her know she glued it on wrong. Then after we finished my set it came out EXTREMELY bubbly. I am so dissatisfied with my nails I will be going back to get a refund and I fully expect them to give it to me. Big sign on the back of the salon that says "Walk-ins Welcome", so I did. Lady says, "It's Friday, we are all booked." Never even asked me if I wanted to make an appointment for the next day. Didn't apologize. I think the sign should say, "Appointment Only", or have a couple of people there specifically for walk ins. I'm so annoyed that these nail salons have the signs when they can't accommodate. This isn't my first time experiencing this. We drove up 82nd after I walked out, first nail salon I found had walk-ins available.. they were packed as well. Oh, and $10 cheaper. I went in to get a new set because I had fake nails on, the person that helped me was a guy name Vi, he had two earrings on his ear and spiked black hair. While he was cutting them seemed to me he doesn't know how to take off a fake nail, one of the nails he was trimming off was my middle finger but he went so deep almost half of it and broke my nail, just to fix it he put a fake nail on top. I never had a experience like this before for someone to do that to my nail. Plus who does that? Trimming the fake nails with my real nails, he supposed to cut only fake nails not all together I told him I didn't want it to touch it but he still fixed it, I didn't want to get it fixed because 1. He didn't clean my nail with nail remover alcohol 2. My nail can get a fiction for not being clean and cover of fake nail on top. I wanted to speak to Manager but I let it go but I wish I can have a refund. Hope next time he wouldn't do it to someone else like I had experience. read more

I have come here a few times because usually I'm happy with my acrylics here, but last time I felt like they were kinda rude to me after I told them I was just getting a fill and gel polish (no extra art, etc). I was sitting at the station, the nail tech walked over, looked at me, I said "hi" and smiled and she sat down and gave me a glare. I didn't talk to her again, and after chopping my nails into a mess she stopped, said something to the tech next to her and he asked me to get up and start the pedicure instead. I don't know what her problem was with me but it felt pretty mean especially to a customer. I was super weirded out because I've only had good experiences here. I stayed amiable and got in the pedicure chair no problem, the same tech was bubbly and nice to the teenage girls that sat in the station instead and she worked on them with no issue while my pedicure was awful. The woman filed my toes instead of my toenails, didn't really massage, and the paint didn't even cover my whole toenail on some. When I went back a totally different nail tech did my hands, and another man came to give the girl who was rude to me a tip, she snapped at him that it wasn't hers. So rude. They did an alright job of finishing my nails, and scooted me out. I came to look at the reviews to see if I was trippen and looks like this is a regular thing if they just decide you're not expensive enough to treat with dignity lol read more

I love this nail salon. I go to Wendy, she is so nice and does a great job, she's honest and strives to make sure her customer is happy. Rachel is also an absolute doll to interact with. I've been going here for almost a year now and my only complaint is sometimes the appointment runs long but that's life and several factors come into play that cause the appointment to take longer. read more

Absolutely awful yet again, against my better judgment I agreed to go to this nail salon on Mother's Day because my mom wanted to along with my sister and my niece the four of us together. My mom had called previous Lee to make a reservation for the four of us and to request that the kids chair be available for appointment to get the full experience for my niece as she's only six and she doesn't really fit well in the regular chairs anyways, when we arrived there not only were there so many people crowding the entryway because I'm assuming they over booked but we also were disappointed when the people ahead of us that were checking in for their appointment got the children's chair that we specifically requested a week prior and no apology was made or anything like that but OK will make a deal that's pretty poor on you but sure and then after our pedicures were complete not only did I have two separate colors that I gave the gentleman doing my nails but they were sitting right in front of him the entire time when I stood up I realized that I had only one of them were used and he looked at me and just said sorry and they basically were trying to usher us out of the chairs so that the next appointment could come in. I just don't appreciate the lack of skill and the lack of honoring our appointments and requests, it's absolutely ridiculous to pay over $100 for a terrible nail polish paint job and it's just sad to see how disgusting he made my toes look, I was embarrassed to even add pictures but you know what this is complete garbage and I feel like people should know that! read more

This place is a gem in our small little town. Very clean and friendly atmosphere. I get the dip nails and the 2 times I've been in Kaitlyn was my technician. She takes her time to make sure my nails come out just the way I want them to! Prices are comparable to other nail salons around especially given the fact that they offer you beverages at no additional fee. Who wouldn't want to sit and get pampered with a mimosa in hand!?! I made an appointment and it started right on time and finished in a good amount of time too. I saw Kaitlyn for a dip manicure and she did a great job. I have to say I was really disappointed. I had taken two months to grow out my nails to come in and have them professionally done. Before I knew it she had cut all my nails off. I got my nails done and was unhappy and explained that and had a phone call before the end of the day to my best friend who made the appointment offering to fix due to the fact I had a busy schedule I wasn't able to make it in but I will be returning when I need them to be done again. This was a good experience, love the complementary drinks. My nails were done very quickly and they turned out great. My friend got her nails dipped and the color turned out MUCH lighter than expected. But we spoke up and asked for it to be fixed and it was taken care of right away. If you don't tell people you don't like something they don't have a chance to fix it. There was never any bad feelings towards us for asking the service to be altered. Read tons of reviews and looked at photos and seemed like work I would like. Made an appointment and the second I sat down, I felt the guy had an attitude and didn't really want to do the set. Some of my nails are pointing straight up which I know happens if the real nail is short but isn't the case here. I'm very picky about shape and he did a completely different shape that I do not like. Bumpy, crooked. Overall just really disappointed in my set. read more

I brought my daughter to the salon to get a full manicure/ pedicure and that's what I requested at the desk for her appointment. They decided that she was going to get just a nail polish change without consulting me or telling me of the change. As much as I liked the girl that did my fill, I will not be back. They were sweet to my daughter. When I tried to tell them that she was supposed to get a full manicure and pedicure they said I cut her nails and changed her polish. Then proceeded to tell me that it was only $10 for each as if the money was the issue. Nonetheless if they can't follow simple instructions then why come back. read more

The place is very clean and well kept. The front desk girl is very sweet, nice and accommodating. The guy who did my nails is also really kind. I opted for the the signature mani and pedi. I asked for a French tip pedi, and it must have been his first time doing so. The lines are uneven, there are bubbles, doesn't follow my natural white line on my toes. So that was disappointing. He also didn't give me a scrub or massage that was supposed to be included. I was running out of time and opted out of nail polish for my finger nails. He shaped and cut my cuticles great! However there was no massage and he didn't clean under the nails. He put a top coat on my nails after saying I didn't need it. And 2 hours later it's already chipping. Pretty bummed out that I spent money on these services. Love the atmosphere here, maybe it just wasn't a good fit, but I don't think I'll be coming back. :( read more
