A wise person once said that if a nail salon overcharges and doesn't get it right the first time, they're not of good quality. First of all, don't let them fool you. There's a BIG language barrier and an overall communication problem here. When I walked in, I specifically showed them my nails. They all had tips with the exception of two of them. I looked the manager in the eye and said "two of the tips broke off. I want a new set with gel." They rushed through the process and as a result, I didn't get a full set. Instead, they just gave me gel using my natural nails. I was so upset. The manager offered for me to come in the next day to get a full set with SNS for a reduced price. I agreed. When I arrived, the nail tech clearly didn't want to do it. She kept asking if I wanted someone else to do my nails because of the reduced price. Then she made sure to turn the sign around that said "Tips in Cash Are Greatly Appreciated". She rushed through the process and although I ended up with what I initially asked for (minus the SNS which was offered as an upgrade) it was clear that the nail tech didn't want to work on my nails. She was very rude. I now heed the advice that if nail salons can't get it right the FIRST TIME it's not of good quality. Lastly, I will be making a report to the health department on this place. You know how they're suppose to open up a fresh pack of utensils? Well guess what? This nail tech used a shortcut that I would've never thought of. That so-called fresh pack of utensils isn't so fresh. I guess I should be glad that she was rushing, otherwise I would've never caught it. It was a slick move but unsanitary to say the least. For the sake of your own health, watch these nail techs carefully!!! All in all, I will never be back at this place and after my experience, I do not recommend it!!! read more

I'm on the fence about this salon. I decided to get a polish change on my toes and a fill in. While getting a fill in, the person who was taking care of me started looking at her yelp page for the business and even responded. At that point I realized that she was the owner. She was very nice, but it's better customer service when you do that when you don't have a client in your chair. She did a decent job on my nails and the polish change was really good. I want to give them another chance and maybe I will but I had never experienced that. It also seems very busy as there is a lot of traffic coming in and out for services. read more

This place was wonderful. They are taking great precautions because of COVID-19 and I appreciate it. They made me sign a waiver and also took my temperature to insure everything was okay. The lady I had was patient and let me take a minute to pick what color I wanted, and she was very meticulous when cutting and shaping my nails. This place was so accommodating to my mom and I. We had a package one and a package 2 pedicure that came along with a wonderful foot massages and great service. Amy and Julie were two associates that help us out as well as a gentleman whose name I didn't get :(. The products they used were so great that we even purchased them. I really wanted to like this nail salon. The person who greeted me at the door was very nice and enthusiastic.. the decor was great.. I was sat down at a foot spa station immediately.. the techs who worked on my hands and toes seemed nice.. the man working on my nails broke one of my nails while removing them which upset me but whatever I let that go.. the woman who did my feet left a pretty big gap between my cuticle and where the nail polish started.. upsetting but whatever they worked really hard to take off the old nails I had on before so I let those things go and tipped them really well because I appreciated their patience. 2 days later the SNS polish chips on one of my fingers.. on the 5th day another nail chips.. smh they charge 5 dollars more than other places for SNS nails so I was extremely disappointed. THE WORD LUXURY IS LITERALLY IN THE NAME.. but y'all using cheap products.. I refuse to pay extra for mediocrity. So I won't be returning to this place. read more

Do NOT go here! I selected a color for my pedi as usual and thought I could relax and enjoy. After a super fast, subpar pedi, i noticed as I was leaving that the color that she applied was not only not even CLOSE to what I chose, but it was so hideous that I wouldn't be able to wear my sandals at work or in public, for that matter. We compared the color to the swatch and it was so glaringly, obviously wrong that the girl redid it. And it was the SAME! THEN when I said that I'd like to try a different color, the little punk technician had the nerve to tell me, "NO! You don't get to TRY- you have to DECIDE NOW!!" .... she was so INCREDIBLY RUDE that I asked for my money back. The manager explained that this company's polish colors sometimes don't match the swatches- and this was not their fault- I explained that I understood that, but that was not my fault- and the rudeness of his employee after HER company's mishap, not mine- was unacceptable, that I'd have to go home and redo what she has done, and that I just wanted a refund. He replied and repeated several times that " sorry, they are unable to refund money "..... so $35 and 30 minutes down the drain. I will NEVER go here again. So, first let me say that I am new to the area. This is the 4th or 5th salon that I have tried and ranks among the worst, so far. I arrived after a long day of driving, on time for my appointment that I scheduled for 2:30 and they were not prepared. I was there with 3 of my family members, who also scheduled for 2:30. They were not prepared for any of us and 2/4 of us had to wait while the other 2 were serviced. After waiting about 20 minutes we notified them that we were waiting even though we scheduled appointments - only to find out that they were using the clock on the wall with the incorrect time. It was an hour behind due to the time change that occurred on this day. The pedicure was mediocre. I had to ask my nail tech to get my calluses again and she basically rescrubbed both feet again, confirming my assumption that her first attempt was very lazy. She used very little lotion and put very little effort into making the experience enjoyable. I asked for the $35 pedicure but other than the hot towels, nothing about the pedicure was similar to the description. When the pedicure was completed I did not receive any flip flops until 45 minutes later when my family was finished with their services. If she had returned within that 45 minutes she would have realized that I also wanted a manicure. All in all, my pedicure is okay so I am giving them 2/5 stars for the nice massage chairs but the overall service was unacceptable and not to my standards. I am new to the area and will continue my search for a permanent nail salon. read more

I've been coming here with friends for years for manicures and pedicures and the staff is always friendly and accommodating. The wait can be long on evenings (around 5pm) and on the weekends, but you can call and make an appointment. I cannot rate this place. If I could give this place negative stars I would. I came here when they first opened and they did not do a good job. Being that it just opened I gave it another try still a bad job. They do not cut cuticles well ,nails are not evenly shaped, and polish don't last but a few days. The over charge and have poor quality products. So I haven't been here in maybe a year. My daughter really wanted to get her nails done and school starts in a couple of days. I thought maybe they got better and gave it another try. I dropped her off and picked her up. OMG worst mistake it coated $55 for a work of a beginner nail tech in school. The nails were all oddly shaped. What was suppose to be coffin shaped was looking like toothpicks. I demanded for them to fix it. They were apprehensive at first. They really needed to take them off and start over again. Anyways, nothing has change they ALL suck. Don't waste your time and money. If you're not afraid to go to a less affluent neighborhood you have better luck. I haven't lived on south side of ATL in years but I'll go to T Nails on Mt. Zion Rd. They are all good. This place is a great addition to the neighborhood! Proximity to Starbucks is clutch. Owners are friendly. My initial basic (not gel) manicure lasted nearly two weeks without major chipping, so I came back today for a mani/pedi. The massage chair was great, and came with a convenient cup holder/tray. The leg and arm massages were much longer than I'm used to. I also like that you get to easily pick colors by looking at organized swatches instead of having to scour the usual disorganized wall to try and find one that works like most other places-- much more streamlined process. I used to like this place but my previous experience was terrible. They guy who did my pedicure rushed. He flooded my cuticles and got polish on my skin. I had to call him back to correct it. He didn't even lotion my feet or put oil on my drowning cuticles. It honestly looked like all he did was poorly polish them. The woman who did my nails did worse. She had an attitude the entire time. She did a great job shaping but my once again my cuticles look terrible. I just got the done 5 days ago and they are starting to lift. She also had me hold my arm up for like 5 mins and would lift my arm back up when I put done to rest. If your working on my hand why does my whole arm need to be in the air. And she buffed my nails so hard my eyes started to water. Unfortunately I'm not confrontational so I didn't say anything. I used to love this place. So did my friends but after this experience we agreed to never come back. read more

Disappointing and shawdy service. I asked for a basic manicure and pedicure that I had booked for a day ahead. I was given a corner chair and my entire manicure was done with my hand in the air or borrowing the armrest of the person next to me who was also getting her manicure / pedicure done. The place was not full and they could have easily accommodated the three people getting the mani-pedi service in the large section they have set aside for this reason. Also, the person next to me had two people attending her for the same services as mine. I had one person do both (she was good!), but it took a lot longer. I would have given it just one star for overall lack of comfort during the entire process of getting my nails done, but my nail aesthetician did her best, so I think it deserves another just for her. read more

I've lived in Avondale for 16 years and tried about every nail salon in the area from the LaVista corridor and Decatur to the places nearer the house. I have finally found THE salon at Luxury Spa! They seem to do it all and today I had a gel manicure, the Firewalker pedicure, a face lift facial, and eyebrow waxing. It's a new salon, large, light-filled, and nicely appointed. I arrived early for my appointment but was immediately seated in a large, comfortable, pedi chair and offered a cold beverage. They have a broad selection of colors in a variety of brands but I'd brought a favorite shade of blue Opi which they quickly matched in a gel for my hands. This was the BEST pedicure I've ever had! Quoc did a great job of the pedicure but the massage he gave my calves and feet was amazing - close to acupressure on the soles of my feet. Part of the experience was essential oils on a neck pillow which combined with the rolling massage of the chair and the warm swirling water about put me to sleep. There is a lovely crystal chandelier near the entrance that represents world acceptance and peace - it took them a full day to assemble it and it is stunning. The decor is upscale and soothing - no cheap rolling Formica tables here. I really hesitate to sing the praises of Luxury Nail Spa because I know that when folks find out about it, it could get crowded, but since they take appointments, it will be fine. Treat yourself! It may not be the cheapest salon in the area, but for the amazing Firewalker pedicure, the soothing foot and scalp massage, the relaxing music....oh, my gosh...I feel like a new person and because of the facial, look ten years younger. read more

Paid more and got less in comparison from my fave nail spot. Did not feel relaxed at all after pedicure. Did not like the workers playing on cell phones as if they were in breakroom or at home. Got a gel manicure They showed me a very limited number of polishes and said that if I wanted SNS they had a broader selection. I saw a bunch of what appeared to be OPI gel polishes on the wall and asked if they had a specific color and they said yes. But when I first requested a gel manicure they gave me the option of maybe 10 colors. My gel manicures typically last at least two weeks, if not longer. Within 4 days of getting my nails done here the polish started lifting at the corners. About a week later as my nails were growing out they all started cracking and tearing at the sides. This has never happened before. I've had to cut all my nails off and start over. Won't be back. read more

Read the sign behind the counter first before you start any services with this nail shop!!! Unfortunately I didn't and ended up with a fungus underneath my nails on 3 different fingers. This is do too laziness on the nail tech for not informing me that my acrylic was lifting from my nail and I need to remove them however instead they put acrylic on top. Trapped moisture creates a fungus!! Learned my lesson and will not be returning. Go at your own risk!! read more
