My daughter had her nails done today. She requested sns with a mid length tip. The nail technician told her it would be $70. She has had this type of manicure many times before, so she knows what she is having done and that that price is reasonable. However, at the checkout, a different person helped her and charged her $95. She protested, and the clerk told her she got acrylic nails, which she did not, and when she said what she had, the woman said the nail technician was new and didn't know what he was doing. My daughter is a teenager and couldn't navigate how to protest this. She was charged for a service she didn't get, and I feel it was intentional. We will not go back, and I would not recommend this business. read more

Four of us booked & came here for our women's spa day. Service was fantastic! My friends each received beautiful varnishes for spring- while I do not like gel/varnish so I opted for a scrub & buff. The clay & scrubs the ladies used on us during our pedicures were amazing! Such a relaxing experience! The lady who provided my services was so nice to complement my care of my feet. That made me feel more comfortable, as I had not had a pedicure professionally done since before Covid- yikes! I highly recommend this salon! This is probably the best nail spa in the friendly center area. They are nice, fast, and respectful. Jake is the best guy in the salon he does any design and will often give price reductions. he's great! I recommend him over any other nail tech. I had to give a star to leave a review. if I could've given NO STAR I would've. I went Saturday and got a fill in. Tuesda I went back because ALL my nails chipped on the side. I showed the owner and he told me the young man would be in to fix my nails in 10 minutes. The young man came in and I showed him my nails. He then tells me the owner said he can only fix 2. They are so kind there!! I was in and out in about a hour! I got a pedicure with gel and it was the best pedicure I've had in a while!

I came here on 9/28 and had the worst service of my life. I asked for a full set. The woman who was doing my nails was extremely sloppy, the acrylic was extremely thick and all over my fingers. Every nail was a different shape and different length. I spoke up and decided to ask them to be removed in which she let my nails soak but then proceeded to ignore me and didn't take the remaining acrylic off! I currently have acrylic still all over my nails and fingers. I expressed my concern to Steven in which he ignored me and told me "she's not done yet" but I knew these nails were not going to turn out well as she was sloppy and rushing. The nail manicure was painful. I have SNS polish. He hurt me several times. (Daniel)I just told him it was enough. The pedicure was sub par at best. I paid and decided that I would not return. The next day, I looked at my nail on my thumb and it was chipped, I looked at my big toe and the polish had rubbed off. That was when I decided to write this review. Very disappointed with this salon. $45 for a basic pedicure with gel where my feet still felt completely rough and dry! Can literally see dry cracks on my heal, smh. He scrubbed it for 20 secs w a hummous stone and that's it. I said wow that's all you're gonna do when I just told you my feet are very dry since I haven't had a pedi in 4 months for to the pandemic and his reply was "it's better than nothing isn't it? Maybe stop walking around barefoot". My reply is yeah but for the price better than nothing is unacceptable. He sat there in silence then shrugged. He told me his name is Jacob. No foot scrub either. He rubbed an exfoliation scrub on my calfs for about 20 seconds again but didn't touch my feet at all. My regular shop on Holden road would have done a much more through job and would have charged $30 for the service AND WOULD'VE PROVIDE SO MUCH EFFORT. I sadly couldn't go to them because It's Sunday and they are closed and needed a pedi for an event tonight. Worst decision I ever made. Could have just thrown polish on for myself for the nothing he did. will never return. TO ADD wow he only did one coat of polish so my toes look nothing like the swatch. They are really professional in here but I would say on weekends they are pretty busy. Came in to get a pedicure had to wait around 15 to 20 minutes which is not that bad but I would say be prepared to wait a little longer. I gave them the 5 stars because I had no issues with them. Waiting was maybe the only thing but I have patients so it was not that bad. They do accept walk-ins but if you can do an appointment I would definitely make an appointment. read more

I have been a regular client since moving from Raleigh to Greensboro 4 years ago (after trying other local salons that were subpar) & I am so glad I found Luxury Nails. I was in the beauty industry for over 15 years & I have been to high end spas all over the U.S. & NO ONE does a better pedicure. I always get the Luxury Pedicure & now my husband expects a gift certificate from here for his birthday, Christmas, Valentine's, our anniversary etc. We love Steven (the owner) who always greets us & keeps the place updated (especially during this pandemic with the installation of acrylic dividers, taking temperatures upon arrival & other safety precautions). I never actually got to go here, but they were so incredibly rude to me on the phone. I purchased a LivingSocial deal for a basic mani/pedi. When I called to book an appointment, they seemed very friendly. The second that I mentioned I had the voucher they said that they had "no appointments available" and hung up the phone right after. By the way, I was asking if they had any appointments available for an ENTIRE WEEK. You're telling me that you don't have any appointments available for a basic mani/pedi in an entire seven day time span at ANY time? Yeah, like I believe that. And hanging up on me was extremely classy. I moved to Chicago before I ever got to use the voucher. I completely understand that you cannot offer the same range of appointment times to your discount customers as you can to full-paying clients, however if you are not going to be able to ever honor the voucher THEN DON'T OFFER IT AT ALL! read more

I'm one of those ladies that is adament about getting her nails done every 2 weeks. Since I'm on the road, well, almost constantly, I get my nails done in a variety of salons all over the country..depending on where I am every 2 weeks. I briefly searched for a nail salon before heading out to the open air mall to do some shopping. I knew this place was here but didn't know anything about prices or reviews for that matter. I pretty much went in not knowing what to expect. Let's face it, it couldn't be any worse than some salons I've been to elsewhere in the country. The first thing I noticed about this place was the decor. It was nicely decorated. While I sat and waited for my turn, I noticed the well displayed licenses of the employees on the wall. Reassuring. I noticed the soft padded seats at the nice nail drying station and the well organized display of magazines. So far, so good. My nail tech was a peach. She did my fill just like I asked and even took the time to painstakingly file my nails down whereas other cheaper salons would have just put on the acrylic and kept going. She did get me a couple times sanding things down but I equate that to human error and not a lack of professional ability. At a cheaper salon I would have already been done by now. I bring my own polish, not out of hygiene but because I love the color and so I don't have to worry about the salon I stop at not having it. This particular nail salon only carries OPI nail polish (mine is made by China Glaze. go me for being prepared). One very impressive touch was that they give you your own nail file and filing..block? Granted they add $1 to your total but that's just for the first time. Next time you go back you bring your own little baggie back with you and they also include a loyalty card for a discount on your next procedure. It's a nice touch, and the first time I've ever experienced this at any salon I've gone to over the last year. While I didn't get a pedicure, those stations looked pretty decent and with a pedi you get a complimentary (albeit small but it's better than none!) bottle of water and I think they offer one glass of wine? I saw wine glasses but wasn't sure if that comes with the basic or the deluxe pedi. Anyway, oh and they give you a slight discount if you pay cash. The staff are really nice and they play adult contemporary music at a nice soft level instead of just turning a TV on for people to stare at. So, I was quite impressed with this nail salon and if I find myself in Greensboro again and need a fill, you betcha I'll be coming back to this place! read more

I went in there for Mani/ Pedi after getting a living social coupon today and I am not super impressed with them. Pros - The living social deal was good and at the end of the treatment they gave the file and buffer to me. Everything was very sanitary and they are super clean. Location is convenient, right next Harris teeter in Friendly shops. Cons - Service was just okay, they really didn't do anything special to win loyalty. They gave an upgrade option which i did not use and the pedi was way too basic. I think i could do almost the same job at home. I probably will not return here. read more

I have used Luxury Nails and Spa before and they have done a decent job however I had the same issue as Sam M, they made my cuticles bleed every time I've visited. My main complaint is their handling of the living social deal they advertised. I called to get an appointment using the deal and they told me they had no appointments available. I heard that they have been hesitant to schedule appointments if you had a deal so I asked if any were available if I didn't use the deal and they still said no. I had a friend call and try to make an appointment for the same service I requested but told her not to mention having a deal. Not to my surprise, they had an appointment available. This type of dishonest behavior is unacceptable to me and I will never visit this establishment again. I don't understand the point of advertising a living social deal if you have no intent of honoring them. read more

I thought it said I'd get a massage? 1 minute each leg? Also, if it's your first time there, you will have to pay for your nail files (although it's just 1$). One of the worst experiences I've ever had! I went in for a manicure in which the lady convinced me to get a gel manicure. All she did was file nails, tend to cuticles, and then paint nails. That's it. Didn't even do the gel manicure portion. They state on there website that a manicure is $15 and the gel $30....so why did I pay $16. I'm confused! I went mostly to get the dead skin off around my nails since I haven't had a manicure in 2 years! I could have painted my nails at home and got the same results! I would expect slack work when you're slammed but there were only 3 other people in there with me. The place I normally go to will have like 30 people in there and I get amazing quality every time. I wanted to try this place because my mom said she liked it and I didn't want to go somewhere so jammed with people. But for now on the people are worth dealing with compared to this places crappy work! So glad I didn't have cash on me to give a tip! read more

Walked in with my friend and was immediately greeted and walked over to our chairs for our pedicures. The ladies both started our pedicures without even asking which pedicure we wanted to do. The lady doing my friends pedicure was more focused on people walking in the door than on the pedicure she was working on. She started her pedicure after mine was started and still finished before me bc she was rushing. The lady doing mine didn't speak a single word and was legit making faces and turning her nose up as she was handling my feet. I have cute feet!!! I went to luxury nails after getting engaged and was so excited to get a french gel mani and had mixed feelings when I went in as over the phone they quoted me a much lower price and once I got there it was way more but decided to go for it anyway. The lady that did my nails was very nice and said that my nails should last 12-14 days but to come back if I had any chips and she would fix it. Two days after getting my nails done I had a chip and went back. The ladies were so rude and told me it was no big deal rolled their eyes and said nasty things under their breath- and instead of fixing it they made it worse! The location of this nail salon is extremely convenient, and there is rarely a wait, so sometimes I can't resist stopping in for a quick gel manicure, even though I've never had a five-star experience here. After this last visit, I will not return. I am used to soft, relaxing music upon entering a nail salon, but on this visit I was subjected to a station I can only describe as Worst of the 80s. It was also louder than necessary. The stylists who are not currently with a client congregate in the back of the salon. They talk, laugh, and play with their phones. While I don't begrudge them for this, it would be nice if they did it out of eyesight and earshot. It's not exactly conducive to a relaxing experience. The woman who did my nails was anything but friendly. She asked a requisite question, and did not engage for the remainder of my visit. Upon trimming my cuticles, she made one of my fingers bleed. I know she saw it, but she did not apologize, nor did she wipe it! Instead, she began painting my nails. At the end of my visit, resigned to leaving a tip that reflected her service, she told me the amount due was $31. I thought this to be a very odd amount, but I paid, tipped, and left.
