Found this gem the week of my wedding when I was panicking to find somewhere for a Brazilian Wax…read more The nail tech got a little ambitious, so I called to cancel & she agreed to wait. It was a little hard to find but her daughter guided me there on the phone while I was lost. Initially it was a little off putting as I thought they might not be as sanitary because the wax was dark colored. I later found out she doesn't use wax but sugar. This process reduces irritation to the skin & is less painful. In my 35 years of life, I have only been waxed once when I was 19 for a pool party. I vowed never to do it again because of all the pain & skin irritation I experienced afterwards. There was minimal pain & absolutely no skin issues after this procedures. I was in & out in less than 20mins. Highly recommend, especially for avid waxers. ENTER FREELY, they've been Approved:)

This had never been an issue before. 2 years later I'm still dealing with the dark scarring from them. When I reflect upon my experience here, I initially dismissed how unsanitary the room was but I feel it's worth mentioning now. I had seen all the good reviews before going, and dismissed it while I was there, and I was in and out so quickly and I was mostly hairless after, so at FIRST I was like ok well she did a good job and it was fast. However the ingrowns nightmare came for me soon after despite me doing what I always do to prevent it, and years later I'm still embarrassed by the scars it left.

i was swayed into visiting because there was a yelp x…read morehi, skin event and i missed it but and i was curious about their offerings. the pros: i booked an appointment at random with kamree. she was very nice and professional and i left feeling great! i really love how the entire "store" is brand focused with the brand color story. the cons: this is an open air place meaning service chairs are not stationed for privacy. and there isn't an acceptable area to place purses. unless you ask to set it on a chair... which isn't ideal. also... i feel like they have a sales quota to meet because there a consistent presence of an "upsell". i was persuaded to add the " hydration " add-on. i agreed. however, because it was my first time i was given a complimentary "face sculpt"... however, because i agreed to the upsell... the complimentary service was bumped.. but i didn't realize it until i was done. lol everyone's experience will be different but the takeaways are that they are professional and acknowledgeable. in addition, i think this would be a great place for to have a party.

Dana was my esthetician for awhile, back last year. She's so sweet and seems passionate about her…read morework. I've honestly learned a lot about my skin from the results of her technique and recommendations. I've had noticeable improvements on my skin from her facials. I have a history of eczema. Used to get dry patches of skin above my eyelids from when I was younger, and it left scaring that made my skin appear like it was dehydrated or 'aging' because the skin is thin. It's practically gone now. It would also crease my eye makeup. I've also dealt with acne around my cheeks for about two years, so there was some scarring. After getting microdermabrasion after a few sessions, they've been reduced significantly. Adora is also very nice and professional. I've enjoyed my experience at Hi Skin because of their service. I would say the only downside to my experience was that I had to attend one more session (to fulfill three total sessions) before quitting my membership due to moving states. I think it's important to do research or read anything before making a commitment. It is a pricy and upscale experience, so be sure to be knowledgeable about what you are getting into. I still use the skincare line recommended by Dana, because the product itself has delivered désirable results. The facials are in the same room as other clients, so it's not exactly a private service, however, each client has their own esthetician.

I was a Skoah founding member going back to when the spa/salon first opened in 2019. When I signed…read moreup it was my first time joining a membership based spa/salon for anything and I am aware that quite a few of them have existed and come and gone over the years. In the beginning I had a top-notch experience. Member treats, including more lip balm than I ever needed, and many product samples, a few of which I have yet to use. Today, the member treats seem to be a thing of the past and the prices (for new members) have gone up significantly. The experience was still very good, just not quite up to the top-notch label anymore. Despite this, if you are looking for a membership based spa/salon for facials, Skoah is still one of the better deals out there. The non-member prices are higher but still somewhat competitive. The products are good quality, though to me they do seem a bit high-priced compared to others I have found that seem to work just as well. I will concede I may be a bit more budget-sensitive than the type of customer Skoah is really aiming for. The two main reasons I cancelled my membership are because I felt I was ready for a change regarding my skin care routine and the membership model didn't work for me anymore at this point in time. Those are reasons specific to me personally and probably will not apply to most people reading this.

I'm turning 30 soon and wanted to make skin care and facials a part of my monthly routine. I found…read moreSkoah through Yelp and it didn't disappoint. The booking process online was super straight forward, and even when I called to reschedule, they were able to accommodate me with no problem. I love the modern, clean atmosphere in the shop and the treatment room was spacious! The warming beds are a great touch and I loved the personal note and lip balm they leave for you. I appreciated that my esthetician told me the benefits of the Skoah skin care line without pushing them on me. I walked away with my skin feeling baby smooth and clean. The only hesitation I have for becoming a member is that there was only a small range of facials offered. Because of my skin type I would like to have the option of more intense peels or microdermabrasion.
