I can't speak to the quality of the dinner options, since I came here for lunch and ordered the lunch buffet. What we have here for lunch is pretty standard fast food Chinese fare, what with the Bourbon Chicken, General Tso's Chicken, and the various other selections that taste exactly the same regardless of which mall food court you happen to be visiting. The lunch buffet [see photo] gives you the option of rice or noodles, and then you can select either 2 or 3 entrees to fill out the remainder. I chose 2 entrees, resulting in more than enough food for me [see photo]. Is it special? Not particularly. If you've eaten at any of these types of places, you already know what to expect -- it will be exactly that. But at just over $5 for my plate of food, it's a pretty good deal. All told, with my big plate and a drink, the total came out to under $7.50. And when I took my plate from the lady behind the counter, she said, "If it's not enough just come back and I'll give you more." That's pretty cool, even though there's no way I'd be comfortable eating even more than I did! read more

I love this restaurant! Since entering college and when I don't have time to cook or I'm too stressed/upset to cook I always look to buying from Luya :) They're always so nice whenever I call and they're so sweet and make sure that your order gets to you whenever they delivered (it was handled gently and considerately, I remember one delivery where the guy waited until I picked up my order from my door to tell me that he hopes I enjoy and thanked me!). There are obviously better foods from their menu than others but I highly recommend for other college students who are cost-conscious as well. They're affordable and they personally last me a few meals so I don't have to cook for like the next few days; (the ma po tofu is my favorite). We recently discovered this amazing Chinese food!! We've always eaten at another local Chinese restaurant but due to covid and the other place closing early all the time, we ventured out and tried Luya. Wow!!! What a wonderful surprise!! Delicious! Large portions big beautiful shrimp and the veggies are always so fresh and tasty! Luya doesn't have much atmosphere so we recommend them for a great night of takeout!! Pleasantly pleased!!! Best Chinese we have had in a while, I love my food spicy and generally don't get what I ask for when ordering Chinese take out. Not only was the staff friendly on the phone, was patient and answered our questions and delivered our food when they said we would get it. To top if off the food was the best we have had in a long long time. Everything was delicious, fresh and my spicy food was spicy like I wanted, I still have a nice burn going while I write this review. Great place for hungry college students. They have a student deal which is the lunch deal menu that goes on all day. You can pick other dishes outside of the lunch deal menu as the student deal. It will be a different price. There's also a food stamp card as well so get those every time you go. Free meal on the 10th one! Their egg drop and wonton soup are good. I don't like their egg roll, it tastes weird and doesn't really taste good either with the duck sauce. Their magnolian beef is pretty good but it's mostly onions, scallions, and peppers. Not enough beef. Same goes for Szechuan chicken and beef. Too much onions but not enough meat. Sauce is good tho. Their chicken wings are pretty good. As takeout place, I prefer their chicken wings. Roast pork lo mein is pretty good but the one I got last night tasted pretty weird. All the other times tasted fine. Beef and broccoli, and general tso are good. I mean it's not the greatest chinese takeout and not really authentic chinese food but not bad for the prices and being close to ucf. read more

You guys have just lost my service after ordering from you for the last few years. Today I tried to place an order to be delivered to my house for my roommate to sign for because I am at work. The order went fine and I was happy to have dinner for me when I got home. I got a call a few minutes later demanding that I send pictures of my Id and my debit card front and back to some phone number given to me by the women on the phone. I told her I was not going to do that as my information could be stolen that way and she then proceeded to tell me that if I'm not going to do it, I can never come to the store again. This woman claimed she was a manager and was very rude. Anyway my ordered was supposedly voided and all was well, then a few minutes my banking app informs me another charge has been placed on my account. I check and it was a second charge from here. I am now out of 50 bucks, until that is returned to my account. If they are really going to double charge me, I don't know what to think they would do with my private information. After the second charge, I called the store back and asked why it happened. I was not given a reason and hung up on. I called back again and asked to speak to the owner of the store. After a few minutes on hold, the same woman from before who was the manager picked up. I asked her if I could speak to the owner and she told me that I do not need to speak to the owner and that she is the one who runs the store. I told her she has lost my business of more than 2 years and she told me, we don't need you, your not important to us. Upset I asked to speak to the owner once again and was hung up on. Something needs to be done. I have never been treated so rudely by customer service anywhere. Hopefully the owner will see this and will contact me. read more

I agree with other reviewers that the lunch special is excellent. I get plenty of good food and it is the fastest way to pick something up fast. The Bourbon chicken seems to be my go to from the lunch special but for pick up for my whole family I love both the sweet and sour chicken, and the double fried pork. The other meals I have had from them seem pretty standard, but these two meals are a step above you average chinese takeout. My wife may even have a text from me when we were considering moving away from Orlando that "we cannot move now, I would have to find a new double fried pork as good as Luya" read more

Main dish is okay but I cannot get what I ask for. They don't understand what "a variety of different vegetables mean", and don't even consider soup - it's horrible! This spot is a great lunch area for those wanting to spend $10 or less for a filling lunch. Other than choosing from a menu, they have a lunch buffet where you can select 2 or 3 entrees which includes either white rice, fried rice, or lo mein and a small fried donut :). I got the 2 entree deal and chose the eggplant and broccoli chicken. They gave out more rice than the entrees itself. Anyways, It wasn't the tastiest I have ever had nor it was the nastiest I have ever had. Pretty bland, but it was still ok for the price (better than panda express imo). Came here last week and as I expected it was empty. I guess this is more of a delivery type of place. Just imagine your typical Chinese restaurant with huge servings and fast service. We were greeted by a guy who works there are he was really helpful and nice. He answered all our questions and recommended some things for us. We sat down and they brought out the food to us. It was a very large portion for all. I ordered the Orange chicken with fried rice and it tasted really good. Perfect level of spicy but a bit too much sauce. I have ordered a few times and have enjoyed the food each time. I had a small issue where I received pork rice instead of lo mein and when I called, the worker was extremely helpful about it and sent over the replacement despite closing soon. Si I ordered from the lunch specials pork lo mein with fried rice and egg roll. I also ordered a small wonton soup. The soup only had 2 wontons, no scallions. The lo mein and rice were totally forgettable. I gave it away to my son who will eat anything. I'm going back to Ni Hao which is consistently good food and 5 wontons in a pint sized soup. read more

Pretty good Chinese delivery. Ordered from here with my boyfriend, expecting to snuggle up with a movie and Chinese feast (which is what we always do). We ordered enough food for several days and got to try a bunch of stuff. It was all good, but nothing spectacular stood out, so basically just another Chinese delivery place. The wonton soup was yummy and completely PACKED with wontons, which my boyfriend loved, but I was hoping for more broth- I order soup for a reason. The egg rolls were good and still crispy. The krab rangoon was good, and the dumplings were actually pretty tasty, although we ordered them fried and they were soggy when they got here. Nothing too special about House Special fried rice (could have used more flavor); go with noodles instead: the lo mein was very tasty and filling. We ordered the Beef Szechuan extra spicy for him, and he said it was really good and decently spicy. The Shrimp with Vegetables was VERY good, but could have used more shrimp. The Honey Garlic Chicken I would never order again- it was over fried, dry, too sweet and not garlicky enough. The service was GREAT. The woman who took my order was very patient with some of my special instructions, and offered additional items like egg rolls and soda, both of which we ended up getting also. The delivery guy was very polite and was also patient when my cat escaped during the exchange. I've never been inside, but the pictures look like the place is very clean and inviting. I have eaten here a total of 4 times and the food is great. It can be a little challenging placing your order depending on who you experience on the phone due to a language/accent barrier. The restaurant has a nice atmosphere but is rather small and not conducive to groups larger than 4 or 5. However, they do deliver. I had a delivery where the large sweet and sour sauce spilled all over the bag and other dishes. It took a while to speak to and explain the situation to management over the phone but they did offer me a discounted rate on my next order which they did honor several weeks later. We've been coming to Luya for a few years off and on for their lunch box. The lunch selections are usually fresh and very good, but I've noticed the portion size has gone down. Use to give larger portions. It's one of the main reasons, along w/ freshness, that we come here when we could go to a buffet and pay $1 more for a huge unlimited selection. Even if they are busy they should be consistent. I was still hungry after eating their lunch box today, which I'm normally not. If it continues, we may just stop going or bypass. Definitely not the best Chinese I've ever had but with the prices they have the food lives up to those. Being on a college budget it helps that they are able to offer the Lunch Combination special for UCF students through lunch and dinner so it is a great deal! As a New York native I have searched far and wide for delicious Chinese food. I love the food at Luya. I'd recommend take-out as the inside can get filled with college kids (but, their in-house dining is incredibly fast). My favorite is their General Tso's. They're great about accommodating to your requests. I always ask for extra spicy and extra sauces and have never been disappointed. Ordered for delivery. I'm in Oviedo and it took about 45 minutes to get the order. We ordered pork fried rice, beef and broccoli, and chicken lo mein with egg rolls. The egg rolls were delicious but I had to request duck sauce. No utensils but I didn't need any. Pork fried rice was amazing with the beef&broccoli on top.
