I would like to extend my deep appreciation to Dr. Ghitea and his staff for the wonderful care that…read morethey provided to my cats and dogs for more than a decade. Dr. Ghitea's veterinary services were always excellent and reasonable. I always walked away feeling that my animals were well taken care of without it costing me a bundle. One time, Dr. Ghitea pulled some rotten teeth from my dog without even charging me. He took excellent care of my Samantha (cat) over the years, and I believe she made it to 20 as the result of his care. When my beautiful Samantha was on her last days, Dr. Ghitea comforted me and told me the truth that it would not be long saving me from spending money that wouldn't prolong her life any longer. Sadly, Samantha passed away about a week later in my arms although she had a wonderful life. I moved to No. Idaho this past year and will greatly miss Dr. Ghitea and his staff along with the memorable conversations that we had over the years. Thank You Dr. Ghitea and staff, my pets and I will miss you! Patrick, Valentina, Phoebe, Hydro and Mr. Finch

Today was brutal. We…read morefirst came here because two people we know and love have used them and had amazing things to say. Our dog has a possible bowel obstruction, so we were told to take her to the emergency room. We arrived around 1:50 p.m. When we came in, we were greeted and put into a room within a couple of minutes. Someone came in, examined our dog, talked with us for a few minutes, and then explained that she wasn't in critical condition. They told us there were several pets in critical condition ahead of her, which we completely understood. She gave us a few options for waiting because it was going to be about a two-hour wait. Since we don't live in this city--we live in Oregon City--we decided to go to a nearby dog park. Traffic was starting to pick up, and getting back across I-205 later would be difficult if we left and returned. They told us they would call when they were ready to see her, so we headed to the dog park. Around the two-hour mark, traffic was starting to die down, so I called to see if they needed us to stay nearby or if we could head home and wait there. The woman on the phone told us we were fine to go home and that they would call when the doctor was ready to see our dog. We were happy with that plan. It was a very hot day, and even with air conditioning, a black car gets hot. We headed home around 4:50 p.m. At 8:25 p.m., I received a call. The woman said, "Hi, this is ______. The doctor is ready to see your dog now. How long until you can be here?" I explained that our son was getting ready for bed and that we lived in Oregon City, but we could be there in about 30-35 minutes. She said, "Great," and we headed that way. We actually arrived just 21 minutes after receiving the call. We were taken to a room and told the doctor would be right in. Fast forward over an hour--not one person came in to speak with us. Nobody checked on us. Nobody popped their head in to let us know they were running behind or that something more urgent had come up. There was absolutely no communication. Honestly, that was the worst part. By this point, it was 9:50 p.m., and we hadn't even been checked on. We were exhausted. I stepped out into the waiting area and found nobody there except another patient sitting in the lobby on their phone. Both receptionists were gone, so we got up and left. This makes me incredibly sad because our dog is our baby. The service was so poor that I can't even explain how frustrating it was to drive all that way, after being specifically called in, only to be completely ignored and receive no communication. The worst part came after we left. As soon as I got home, I called to let them know we were no longer there. The woman on the phone said, and I quote, "Oh yeah, you're waiting at home. We have that on file." I replied, "No, we were already at home. You called us, told us to come in because the doctor was ready to see her, and then nobody spoke to us for over an hour after we arrived." It was awkward because it seemed like she didn't even know we had been sitting there waiting at the clinic. For anyone reading this: if you think your pet is having an emergency but they are not in immediate, life-threatening condition, I would strongly recommend going somewhere else.

We searched online and found that Emergency Vet of Tualatin was open 24 hours. We took her there and all the staff were warm and welcoming during this stressful time. They were able to get her in to see a vet right away. We appreciate the speediness of their efforts. Unfortunately it was determined the our dog had a stroke and lost almost all mobility in her hind legs. This was a very difficult decision to make and the vet was patient and kind during the whole interaction. We chose a private cremation and paw print. When we saw the beautiful wooden box her ashes were put in it made a somber moment a little easier. I called to mention that we wanted her collar with her name tag to keep. They were able to track it down and made sure we got it. The paw print was done well and the quality was great. It was thoughtful of the clinic to send us a card as well about their condolences.

If you're not the only patient of course most critical goes 1st as it should be & there has never been a long wait time. Even at end-of-life for our beloved Maximus. The Dr spent quite a while with us, gave us Al the time we needed & THEY were GREAT & did a WONDERFUL presentation of HIS ashes in a most BEAUTIFUL wooden box & footprint afterwards. Something I didn't realize was they let our primary vet know that Maximus had passed. We hadn't even thought of it yet being he hadn't been there in a bit because of complications & it was exceptionally nice to receive a condolences card from his vet in the mail. Just another really good thing EVCOT does for their patients. THANK YOU for all the things you guys did to help get Maximus almost to his 12th birthday

Three years ago I left a glowing review for Cat Care Professionals but unfortunately I can't…read morerecommend them any longer. We have gone to Cat Care for almost thirty years and always had top notch care for our kitties. Dr Cornwell was amazing and the staff outstanding. Unfortunately Dr Cornwell retired and sold the practice. My understanding is a corporation purchased the practice and as with most acquisitions like that profits out way service. Our last check up for our three healthy cats cost over $1000. Before the sale the cost was less than $400. Luckily we found one of the Cat Care vets that started her own practice and have transferred all kitty care to her.

I can understand needing precautions, but they denied a prescription cat food through Chewy and won't even do a blood glucose curve and let me send it via email as we have done three times previously in the past 3 months. They saw her in clinic about 6 months ago and missed that she didn't have the vaccine. Once they found that, they cut all care. Oregon Secretary of State registration shows the Authorized Representative for Cat Care Professionals as Peter Jacobson. Per his LinkedIn page, Peter Jacobson is the CFO of Western Veterinary Partners (also noted in the Oregon Secretary of State registration) which, "is a private equity backed company that acquires and manages veterinary clinics throughout the U.S." The care shows it. I'm sure the staff cares, but they were happy to take my money and drop my cat who needs care. I would give a zero if I could. (They were a 5/5 about 10 years ago.)
