I met one of my friends here for brunch over the weekend. We sat outside since I had my pup. We started off with cocktails while we reviewed the menu. An Old Fashioned for my friend and a French 75 for me. My drink was bubbly and refreshing. My friend had never tried Escargots before and even our server recommended it. So we ordered Escargots for an appetizer which were absolutely delicious. Lots of melted cheese and flavor in the dish. My friend enjoyed it more than he thought he would. There was also complimentary bread provided which we used to dip in the sauce. As my main dish, I got the Short Rib Benedict and my friend enjoyed his Lyon Hall Burger. My Benedict had plenty of short rib and it was so tender - so good! Great food and drinks all around. Service was good as well. Cool French restaurant with a large corner space with lots of outdoor and indoor dining.

I was so excited to go to this restaurant for my best-friend's birthday brunch. We had reservations for 9 and they were able to accommodate us on the top floor. The ambiance was beautiful and the food was AMAZING! I would go back in a heart beat. EVERYTHING was delicious. Beignets Shrimp Cocktail Short Rib Benedict Quiche French Dip

I went to Lyon Hall for happy hour on a Thursday. We were able to get a high top table without having a reservation. They have good happy hour deals for drinks and snacks. I enjoyed the SJF cocktail, which was kind of like a Moscow mule. We had a soft pretzel with cheese and mustard but it wasn't very good. I would skip the pretzel next time. Plus, I didn't realize that they bring complimentary bread to the table. The bread and butter was really good. We also had the brisket dumplings, and those were tasty. The restaurant has good vibes. It's a cute spot for happy hour, and I would definitely come back.

Came here for my birthday and was so happy I did. If you have a chance to go here, sit outside, it's very beautiful and cozy. My friend and I tried the restaurant week menu and we fell in love with our food. The tuna tartare was delicious and the panna cotta was the perfect cherry on the top. I also got the espresso martini which was decadent. The wait staff was so kind and inviting. Would def come here again!

Hidden gem in Arlington. Near shops and walkable area we stumbled upon. Service was great and all staff friendly and attentive. We shared a beef tartare with nice presentation then I tried the croquette monsieur. The sandwich came with a choice of side and the potato salad was one of the best. On the weekends order the mimosa kit, worth the value to have a few.

Came here last minute with my roommates, as the other restaurant we planned to dine at fell through. I have heard about Lyon Hall, but did not expect it to be as nice and fancy. I for some reason thought it was more of a bar scene, but was nicely surprised. It was restaurant week when we came, so they were offering a $55 3-course meal special. We opted out and just decided to order off the normal menu. I was surprised with how quickly they sat us. The hostess was very nice, however, our server we felt was not as attentive to our table. We went through a majority of our dinner with empty waters. I had a large lunch so I decided not to get an entree, but instead get their tuna tartare and the caesar salad. I was really looking forward to the salad, but unfortunately i did not enjoy it as much as I hope. It was not made with romaine lettuce as I am used to, and it was drenched in dressing to the point where it was a little hard to eat. However, the tuna tartare I could not recommend enough. It was a nice mix of flavors, and was filling.

I came for my birthday brunch and was not disappointed! First of all I love brunching in Arlington, Clarendon, Shirlington, etc, so of course that's the area I chose. The outside of the establishment is not visually appealing, but inside it was very nice! We were seated all the way upstairs at the back of the restaurant, which wasn't a bad thing bc my friends and I can get a lil loud at times! We alllll started with the biggest, one friend got the shrimp cocktail. That shrimp cocktail was SO GOOD! You only got four prawns on ice, but there was something about them that took them over the top. The beginners were perfectly fried! The creme anglaise that accompanied them was chefs kiss perfect! For my meal I got the short rib Benedict. I get short ribs wherever I can find them, they're my favorite! I did ask for my eggs to be fried rather than poached bc I hate runny egg whites, and it was perfection! Everyone enjoyed their food, and we had a great time! Our server was nice and efficient, we had no complaints there! I would def go back again!

Wish I tried this place sooner - best table bread and butter I have EVER TRIED! no exaggeration. Came here on the last day of restaurant week per recommendation from my sister, and tried a number of dishes. Aside from the delicious tableside bread, we tried the grilled octopus and escargot for appetizers. Both were great, very heavy handed with the flavors though. I love the pistachios as part of the escargot. And hefty portion of tender octopus as well - very worth it! The mains were not as impressive, as we ordered the pork schnitzel and filet medallions. Both were decent, but the bed of veggies the schnitzel sat on felt like frozen bagged veggies. And the filets were over salted. We also ordered a side of fried artichoke hearts, which came with a delicious garlic aioli. For dessert, we got the red velvet cake, but it was nothing special. Overall, very impressed by the appetizers, and the ambiance inside is nice as well. Come here for the bread!!

I got the thai curry musells with fries and WOW it was worth it! the quantity was huge of the mussels! i will 100p just come back for the mussels! it was AMAZING and so flavorful and so fun to eat as well! the fries were not as great but the mussels made up for the fries! the service was pretty fast at the place and they were super accomodating for my friend who had a kid as well! the ambiance was pretty coool! it was more upscale but not to the point where you had to really dress up! 100000p would come back and recommend to anyone

Lyon Hall has long been a local favorite of mine, and while my recent order was enjoyable, it didn't quite live up to the high standards I've experienced in the past. I had a larger order this time as I was hosting some friends, and here's my take: **Vin Blanc Mussels** (garlic, crème fraîche, shallot, parsley, spinach) These mussels were fantastic! I highly recommend ordering extra French bread to soak up the flavorful broth. The portion size was generous and easily shared among 2-3 people. However, the packaging could use some improvement. The mussels leaked quite a bit and weren't sealed properly, which made transporting them a bit of a mess. I understand that mussels aren't typically a takeout-friendly dish, but I think a little more thought could go into the packaging for TOGO orders. **Pan-Seared Scallops** (toasted fregola, sautéed kale, pickled apple, fennel-lobster bisque) While the scallops were perfectly cooked, the dish as a whole didn't quite hit the mark for me. The pickled apple was too tart, overpowering the other flavors and making the balance of the dish feel off. I'd definitely order their scallops again, but I'll likely skip this particular combination of sides next time. **French Onion Soup** This was solid--nothing extraordinary, but still a comforting classic. The cheese was a nice touch, and I enjoyed it overall. Overall, Lyon Hall remains a great spot, but this order didn't quite measure up to some of my past experiences. Also, when I went to pick up my order the interior was beautifully decorated, so recommend eating in if you can during the holiday season.

    Oysters. Mussel Frites. Aperol spritz

Great Happy Hour!! Moules Frites are the best in the area, and $1.50 oysters are hard to beat. Really cute inside for a date night. Nick is often our server in the bar and he's the best!

Having looked at 3 or 4 other possibilities for lunch this one wins due to the environment - nice outside patio on two levels with the most shade which is important on a 90 degree day, and the sidewalk tables have some barriers separating them from the pedestrians walking by. Food wise it's not my first choice, however it is for my partner and the environment being my preference it's the best compromise. We had the burger and eggs Benedict, both were pretty good, the home and French fries in particular were well spiced and crispy. If you like to people watch but not in an overwhelming way while you eat I'd highly recommend this place and the street level seating. Price is comparable to restaurants in this area - they automatically include a 20% service charge so a simple lunch for 2 with one drink would easily come to over $70 (even when you don't pick the higher priced items on the menu).

When we walked in, we thought it was gonna be packed because there were no reservations on OpenTable however they were able to see us right away. A very nice touch to add a stem of Rose for the women. I would say that I gave it a lower star rating not because the food was bad. It was actually delicious, but probably the experience itself. The restaurant felt chaotic, and even though all the tables were not completely packed of course there were flowers everywhere people gathering with grandmother's mother's children, etc We were seated in a two people table and all the top past dishes started to pile up very quickly. Instead of monitoring, the progress of the finished dishes and removing those dishes due to space constraint, the dishes came from the kitchen, almost on top of one another, and at one point I had to hold a dish in my hand in order to make space to put a dish on top of another flatbread pan/dish, making things super chaotic. Also dishes had to be put on top of the menu because in order to order additional food, you need to leave at least one copy of the menu at the table. Overall, again the flavors and taste were good, though I might have had similar dishes from other places, and my partner commented that some of it is actually very close to the Capital One landing at DCA. I would just say that it was more due to the chaos and just the way that all the dishes piled up on top of us we felt like we were we had to eat super quickly so that we could stack dishes ourselves and create room at the table. Also, when serving the dishes were not kept level and basically was slide to the side of the dish, making presentation off

Dispelling the myth that French cuisine is pretentious, we felt like we were in a home, and that we would be fed full to the brim. Came in while it was packed late into the night. We were sat immediately and had a wonderful time. Our waitresses were patient and had great recommendations for our first time trying French food. They seem incredibly experienced and added comfort in the way they spoke to their customers and ran their tables. We were even greeted by the owner who was great and cheery to each table he visited. The one night we went, it was incredibly packed with people having intimate, lighthearted, and laughter-filled gatherings, tables with multiple rounds of wine, everyone sharing their fries, and so he should feel proud of this place. Touches like this made it as though we were dining in someone's house. And I love that they start you off generously with bread and butter. Its a type of french loaf that is nice and fluffy, and I'd recommend setting some on the side if you're ordering a brothy dish. We ordered Moules Marinières, which came in a delightfully large cauldron of juicy plump clean muscles swimming in an herbaceous-garlicky white wine sauce. Unassumable from the simplicity of ingredients they threw together, but incredibly complex in flavor. This is one of the few times I actually tasted bay leaf, and amongst the fewer times I found the use of rosemary not be so overpowering. The mussel liquor at the bottom was perfect when soaked up in bread. What an incredible dish. We also tried a classic, Le Steak Maison, which was also distinctively flavorful. Our steak had a perfect cook at medium rare, and was uniquely seasoned with some sort of blend of herbes de provence. The fries were pretty standard and substantial, but paired with the Béarnaise sauce, it was such a tangy play of richness and acidity. Again really simple ingredients just executed so well. Great job, looking forward to coming again to try more on this large menu.
