7/5/2025 AC issue again (M&M did not install the system). Called M&M Heating and Cooling once more because I don't trust the folks that installed the system. The internal units of the split system wasn't turning on. Guillermo and his crew came out the day after the holiday and determined that the company that installed my system didn't check for leaks. I can confidently say it was the best decision to move forward with Guillermo and his team for my AC repair. It is one of the hottest weeks (Close to 100 degrees) and I'm sure there were customers queued up with AC issues. Despite the business in his schedule, Guillermo has prioritized our AC repair and constantly updated me in his diagnosis, material purchase, warranty parts, and schedule. He was very flexible with me, which I truly appreciated it. In addition, I've contacted other HVAC contractors, whom I will not name the vendors due to their incompetence. One contractor dismissed me saying the part was out of warranty, which in fact it wasn't! I saved $1000 with this part. Another contractor wasn't even able to give me proper diagnosis and have quoted me thousands of dollars. The other two didn't care much about my problem and told me the earliest time they can schedule me in was weeks and months away. I came home from work on a Thursday evening to broken AC system, and with young kids in the house was in a rush to get things fixed. While most places were closed at the time or quoting over a week to come by for diagnostic visit, Guillermo at M&M was available and said he could fit me in next day. The diagnostic was free, and the crew was prompt, professional, and took time to explain what was wrong. They were able to locate and acquire the needed parts super quick which is all the difference in a 3-day repair vs 3 weeks. Some businesses deserve more than 5 stars, and this is one of them. I have dual-zone HVAC systems, and the upstairs air conditioner would come on, but failed to cool the house. I consulted with another HVAC company and they came out and diagnosed my system as having a leak. I began not to trust them when they informed me it would cost $224 per pound for refrigerant, plus $250 to instill UV dye to locate the leak. Altogether it would cost $754 just to locate the leak, plus whatever it costs to do the actual repair. That seemed excessive, so i looked up the price of the products and discovered they were severly overcharging for them. When they came back to locate/repair the leak, they said my system did not work at all, and I needed a new AC unit at a cost of around $20,000. That sounded crazy since other than the lack of cooling, it had been working when they tested it to diagnose the leak a few days earlier. I balked at buying a new unit, so they changed and said I could get by for a little while by replacing the compressor, but it would cost $5000-$7000 for that. I declined that also, and sent them on their way. I contacted Guillermo from M&M Heating and Cooling and immediately got the sense I was speaking to someone honest who cared about his customers and the reputation of his company. I scheduled them to come by the next morning to check the system. They arrived right at the scheduled time. As soon as he opened my unit, he informed me the previous company had sabotaged the system to keep it from starting up and scam me into buying a new AC. In less than 5 minutes, he had the system running again. He then informed me I did not need a new system, and there was nothing wrong with my compressor. He also told me the $5-7000, the other company wanted to charge to replace the compressor was exorbitant, and I could actually have replaced the unit for that, instead of the $20,000+ they quoted. Then came the biggest shocker of all. Guillermo told me I DID NOT have a leak in my system. He was able to show me where due to pressure, some coolant had come out around some valves, and he said it indicated a restriction in the system. He isolated the restriction to a particular part and left to purchase a replacement. Once he had the correct part, he installed it and had the system cooling down my home in less than an hour. All the time, he kept me informed of each step they were doing and showed me the necessity of it. Ordinarily, I would not mention a competitive company by name when posting a review, but I feel it's important for people to know it was JAZZ Heating, Air Conditioning, and Plumbing that sabotaged my system, lied about what was wrong with it, and then tried to scam me into purchasing a new system for $20,000+. It's also worth noting that while Jazz was going to charge me $224/lb for refrigerant, the cost through M&M Heating was just $84/lb. As stated before, I did not need my compressor replaced, did not need a new AC unit, and my system did not have a leak. Everything Jazz diagnosed and told me was geared towards scamming me into purchasing a new system. In the end, M&M Heating and Cooling repaired one air conditioner and performed complete preventative maintenance on my second unit. All for a price well below what Jazz tried to sell me a compressor for....actually less than Jazz would have charged just for the amount of refrigerant that was needed. If you're looking for someone honest and dependable, who doesn't try to upsell you on products/services you don't need, won't deliberately sabotage your system in order to sell you a new one, Guillermo and his business partner are the ones for your job. M&M provided a high quality repair and a timely next day repair. I was offered a convenient appointment next day, the diagnosis of the problem was very quick that my AC had a blown capacitor that resulted in low current that resulted on no cold air in addition to a low refrigerant level. The capacitor was replaced and the spec of the AC were explained very well. refrigerant was added gradually to bring the cooling capability back to standard while I was shown the meter reading , and I was charged only what I needed, not an ounce more. Very trustworthy, experienced guys that you can rely on to fix any HVAC issue at a good price. They also provided a good estimate for ductwork after I asked and have double checked everything and cleaned up before leaving. I asked for a discounted tune up and it was provided same day. I will absolutely rely on them for my annual tune-up and have their number handy in case any heating issues arise in the winter. AC wise am taking care of for the rest of summer. read more

We had an issue with our A/C not working well. It would blow cool air but not cold air. When it got hot outside, it felt like the A/C wasn't even working. I already tried replacing the capacitor myself but it didn't help. I figured there was probably a refrigerant issue. My HVAC system is approximately 12 years old. I had two HVAC companies come out and they told me it should definitely be replaced. They quoted me systems between $15k to $22k. I spoke with Guillermo via Yelp and he started diagnosing my system and told me it was likely I had a refrigerant issue. He gave me a low quote and a discount for military service. His partner, Armando, happened to be in the area and came over 15 minutes later! He checked out my furnace and AC unit. He told me my system probably had 4-8 more years of life. He said the furnace was looking good and commented how well installed it was. He checked the AC compressor and told me there was no leak but apparently whoever originally installed the unit, never properly filled it with refrigerant so it was extremely low. He showed me how the numbers would drop if there was a leak. He had to fill 6 pounds of refrigerant to get me back to where my system needed to be. He also cleaned the coils. He provided me a lot of advise on how to maintain my HVAC system to keep it healthy so I wouldn't need to call for additional service. He told me not to listen to the other companies trying to convince me I needed a brand new system. Great guys!
