Asked about an HVAC issue and for them to come out and quote us on Duct repair (what the last company recommended). They asked a lot of questions before asking to come out (most HVAC companies just want to immediately come out). Counted ducts/ answered questions, sent pictures, and a couple days later, we got them to come out. The tech spent over an hour in the attic testing everything he could. He was honest and patient. Came down and said the ducts are older, but they aren't leaking like i was told. His recommendation was that the furnace was old so not blowing hard enough. If we didn't want to replace the furnace, the only other improvement would be installing a zoning / damper system to increase airflow upstairs or downstairs. Didn't try to push me to buy anything or upsell me. You could just tell he's an honest guy. Took his time and explained things to me. I would go back if we decided to do the repair - we're approaching warmer climate, will revisit the furnace issue next winter. read more

This is a very enthusiastic and unsolicited review for Juan Carlos and his team. I was looking to get air conditioning installed and my old furnace changed out. The problem was that our furnace was in the crawl space, and our crawl space was difficult to access and too narrow to pull the old furnace out of. We knew it would be a tough job because one other company in the area visited and said they wouldn't be able to do the work. Another company proposed a very complicated structure of leaving the old furnace in the crawl space and building out a separate ductwork system and installing a new furnace somewhere inside our house (and quoted a price that was over twice what Juan Carlos quoted). When Juan Carlos came to visit, he said he could do the job and actually worked to expand our current crawl space access, which took a lot of additional labor. Then he took out our old furnace and installed a new air conditioning system. Finally, when putting everything back together, they rebuilt the crawl space access, so now we have more space at the entry point. It's better than what we had to start with. Anytime he or his team entered our house, they were masked with boot coverings--very clean. Promptly came in the mornings. We couldn't be happier with the work! I hired Carlos during our first heat wave for 2020 because he had the lowest diagnostic fee. He stopped by my home the next day and quickly assessed the issue with my AC and furnace. He was surprised that the electronics still work since 1988 and used his tools to find the refrigerant to be low and with a leak. Carlos suggested several options: keep refilling refrigerant, install a new AC only and adapt it to 1988 furnace tech, or replace the AC, evap coils, and furnace. The labor would be about the same to dig into everything, and he gave me a great deal compared to what I've researched from NextDoor and from manufacturer's estimates. In addition, there's a warranty on his installation and a manufacturer 10-year warranty. He and his crew were quick to install within 1.5 days (and in the heat!). read more

The quotes I received from other companies almost made me say "well, I guess we'll just have to freeze this winter".. aka they were not affordable at all. I had to replace my furnace/ac with a heat pump and my water heater with electrical hybrid model.
