He thinks he is the best, he is careless and will do whatever he wants with your hair, BE CAREFUL. First time at M Salon, Grace did a fantastic job of coloring my long hair from nearly black to a caramel balayage. She really listened to me and what I wanted the final result to look like. They really take care of you here! Complimentary drink of your choice, always making sure you are enjoying your experience. I even got a $20 gift card to use whenever I return. Sure it's a bit pricey but if you know you want a great look, you will have to pay for quality. Second time around was just as great, came in 6 months later to get my color touched up and toned. I have been going to Thairapy for ~8 year now and have always had a great experience. The staff are all very laid back, kind, and professional. I am never intimidated like I have been in the past by the staff at other salons and they are all always happy to answer any questions I have regarding way to style my hair and products they would recommend for my hair. Over the years I have gone to Alejandra, Margaret, and recently to Liz all have been great and I always walk out feeling like a million bucks. They all really listen to what you are trying to achieve and make it happen I fully trust any stylist at the salon with my hair. This time I went was to Liz for the first time and she was great! I wanted something easy to maintain since with the birth of my baby I will not be able to make the drive from sugar land as often as I could in the past to maintain my blonde locks! She started the process of bringing me back to my natural darker blonde color and I couldn't be happier the color looks fantastic! I just recently used the spa services for the first time for a 1 hour Swedish Massage and can I just say "Maria I love you!" We discussed what areas were giving me trouble and she really focused on those areas and worked out the big knots I had in my neck, back and even legs!!! She used lotion during the massage instead of oil which was great that way I wasn't all oily when I walked out. I think she was using Eminence lotion - a product line they carry that I love because it is organic. The environment was perfect for relaxing - nice dark room with relaxing music & sounds. Maria was very friendly and talked when I talked to her but otherwise she went to work so I could just relax and enjoy the massage (I really liked this I have gone to some places where people have talked my ear off during a massage when all I wanted to do was relax!) Was belittled , attacked and totally disrespected. Had an appointment with Chris Do, the owner. Wanted to be pro-active and get there 10 minutes early. I waited for 25 minutes and kindly asked the receptionist if anyone was going to take me back soon. She stated that he was running 20-30 minutes behind with his current client. I work a lot and it was the only time to get out of the office to do a toner and color retention. When they finally took me back and sat me in the chair, Chris himself stood over me and was aggressive in saying "When booking with me you need to understand that I'm barely on time, I take my time and never on schedule. you need to know when doing hair SHIT happens and you can't be in a rush. You need to set out a lot of time for me and make sure your day is open. This client has long and thick hair and it's taking more time so you need to understand that what you have scheduled is not going to be quick. If you don't have time then I don't know what to tell you" First off, don't you run a business in customer service? WHATS THE POINT IN BOOKING AN APPOINTMENT THEN? Keep in mind, on my last appointment when I spent over $600 not including tip, he stated that the toner is about 25 minutes and so is the color ret & it wouldn't take long at all when I come back to see him. He made me feel embarrassed because he was talking loud and totally going off on me and made me feel like it was my fault his client is taking long. My fault that I have a job and have to go back to work. I felt backed up against a wall. It was a degrading experience. Never apologized.. Grace went above in beyond to making sure we were on the same page with my hair color choice. She never made me feel rushed in needing to have my decision. The worst schedulers ever. I've been coming here for quite a while and maybe the construction fumes went to their brains. Last appointment they gave me the wrong stylist. This time when it was imperative I was styled they took a client during my appointment time. Gave me a noob that shampooed my hair and literally took four minutes to blow dry one section of my hair. Yes I timed it. Left mid blow dry without getting shit done. Never again. This place sucks. Everyone is always attentive from the moment you check in at the front desk. My hairstylist's name is Grace. She always attentively listens to what I'm wanting and repeats what I say to make sure we're on the same page and I love that because I used to get very nervous about making changes to my hair. When I randomly decided to use a box to color my own hair black (it was during the summer too... what was I thinking?!) and immediately regretted it, she was able to eventually lift it to blonde balayage. I love my hair now! I have also referred her to many of my family members and friends. To this date, I think I have sent her about 10 new clients and they're all return customers now so that says something there. the customer service is great, they are very welcoming, courteous, and attentive. unfortunately, my stylist didn't deliver the style we discussed during my consultation. I requested to get bayalage/sombre, from all the reviews and responses from other clients on yelp/instagram, I was confident in my stylist to do the job correctly. my hair was colored and cut, the stylist blew dry my hair straight and proceeded to style/curl my hair. it looked great during the styling session and I was really happy with the results. I left feeling beautiful. after a few days, I washed and dried my hair but I noticed that the coloring job was patchy and uneven. I was very unhappy and disappointed with the work, especially for the cost of the service. I realized that at the end of my appointment, my stylist didn't give me a mirror to see and check (back & side views) the cut/color after blow drying and before styling. I returned to get it "fixed" in hopes to correct the problem, even though the patchyness is blended out, the coloring job doesn't look cohesive and natural (it looks as though I grew out my roots). I am not satisfied with the results of my hair & lack of communication from my stylist. mistakes happen but the fact that my stylist didn't address and correct the (noticeable) issue while I was at the salon & instead proceeded to disguise the mistake by styling my hair is unacceptable. ***my tip to those who want to get their hair done here or ANYWHERE: 1. always ask to see your hair with the mirror after blow dry (front, side, back) before styling 2. make sure your stylist asks you if you want your hair curled/styled after blow dry & you approve of the work I will let the pictures do this review justice. these were taken 2-3 days after my salon appointment (post wash and dry). read more

Decided to try the salon based on a referral. In a nut shell....Tiffany did a good job on my wash and blow-dry. I was even more pleased when the receptionist told me that my services would be discounted $20 because I was referred by an existing client and that's where my happiness came to an abrupt end. $80 (including the discount) for a wash/blrow-dry....no trim, cut or color makes me want to say GTFOH!!! Ridiculously priced....competing salons offer the same service for $65 and the blow dry bars go even cheaper at $35. When I inquired about the price, the receptionist told me they charge by the length of time it takes to do your hair not the service which 1) doesn't make any sense and 2) is NOT what they have posted on their website. While Tiffany did a good job on my hair I definitely WILL NOT return. read more

I was super jazzed about going to this place as I had heard it was a good spot for men's haircuts. I was halfway through my haircut when the stylist became quiet. After a few minutes, she voiced that I had a bald spot on the lower part of my head and she hadn't seen it until she used the clippers. I said it was ok but didn't realize how bad it was until my wife saw me at home and was shocked. I have had hundreds of haircuts before and no one has mentioned a random bald spot in a random area of my head so I'm 99.9% sure it was just a mistake on her part.
