Yes, so much yes! This place has a really great vibe, the owner is my spirit animal, and my nail artist is the best. We do gel extension nails which is not only more natural looking, but a little better for your nails than acrylic. I've been going to Mari for a couple of months now- she is an absolute master at nail design. I will never go anywhere else. read more

I was really looking forward to this after my last pedicure experience with bad flowers. I showed the owner and the girl doing my pedicure explaining and showing the 2nd grade attempt at my last flower. The owner agreed it was terrible. Overall the pedicure was lovely, lotions smell fabulous, and everyone was nice. However at the end the girl said she couldn't do flowers and it would look the same as the picture I showed her. 5 dots? Wow. Just had the best manicure I have ever had. I received a postcard and for some reason, paid attention to the name and address and am I glad I did. Mia, the owner, made me feel right at home. I have gone to the salon three times now and only once have I been able to leave with what I went in for. Even with an appointment they do not seem to be able to accommodate their clients. And as for a walk in, it probably won't happen. I was a walk in client and accommodated almost immediately. Waterless Mani Pedi is much more hygienic and my heels are soooo much softer. The polish will last longer also since the nail does not expand by soaking in water. The technicians were very accommodating and listened to my requests about sensitive cuticles and desired nail shapes. It was a little more expensive, but not by much and it is worth knowing that I am getting clean, quality service. I found Maalou on Yelp and was intrigued by the waterless method. I sent a message through Yelp and easily made a same day appointment. The gentleman who did my pedicure was being trained, so he was asking questions and getting tips as he went. He did a great job and the training didn't detract from my experience at all. The only downside was my polish peeled off within a few days. I think I chose a Sparitual polish which usually lasts longer, but I can't remember. This place is great! I love how bright, light and open it is as a space - it's so calming and relaxing right from the moment you walk in. I also LOVE that they had classical music playing (since it was my first time, I'm hoping that's their standard for every day). The staff I interacted with were all pleasant. Typically I am crazy anxious about nail salons but within minutes here I was actually super, super relaxed here. The experience was great, but when I compared that to the price and end product, it was not the best. I got a regular manicure, and when I examined it after I got home, I realized that the nail polish was applied unevenly, and my nails had streak marks. I was seen right away for my usual gel mani/pedi. The girls I had were fantastic, true artists and professionals. I had Joolz and Jordan. Dream team! The pricing is what I'm used to for quality and consistency. The products they used were not cheap and smelled great, more essential oils and hot towels instead of soaking in water and cheap lotion.
