100/5 STARS !! I was skeptical at first with it being new, but I have never experienced such amazing customer service in my life. I was greeted and treated in the highest degree. The place is crazy clean, and huge but you feel so welcomed. The nail techs are clearly knowledgeable. As well as very respectful, gentle and kind. Totally affordable in my opinion! Especially in Santa Monica where many salons up charge. I chose the cheapest options on the menu and still I was given: leg and arm massage, warm neck pillow, mani/pedi, massage chairs, a steam eye mask. And also snacks and drinks (hot tea, mimosas, milk tea etc) were all included! Also when I left they gave me a goodie bag and a coupon towards my next visit. They also have free parking! I just came back to Milano Nail Spa for the second time, and somehow it was even better than the first. Everyone there is incredibly kind, welcoming, and accommodating. They truly make you feel taken care of from the moment you walk in. They even brought us a second glass of champagne, which was such a fun and thoughtful touch! The quality of their work is amazing. My last mani/pedi lasted over eight weeks, which honestly never happens for me. Everything is also extremely clean and well-maintained, which makes the experience even better. I really wanted to love this place, and I hate having to leave this review. I've had two good experiences here before, but my visit today was very disappointing, especially after spending over $400. First, I want to give credit where it's due. Kimberly and Angel were amazing with my daughter. They were patient, kind, and did a beautiful job on her builder gel. She loved her nails. My experience was the complete opposite. The first thing I told my nail tech (I believe his name was Ben or Van) was that I did NOT want a lot of drilling because salons have damaged my nails before by over-filing instead of soaking off. Unfortunately, he ignored that request and drilled my nails the entire time. He even cut my skin with the drill, apologized, and then did it again a few minutes later. I also showed him a photo of the thick French tip I wanted. Instead of checking with me first, he started doing all of my nails. I stopped him and asked to see one before he continued bc it wasn't what I asked for. He seemed annoyed when I asked him to make the French tip thicker. Throughout the appointment he was very rough with my hands, pushing and twisting my fingers instead of simply asking me to move them. I also had to ask to see the pink base color before he used it because I'm picky about the shade. Again, he seemed bothered by the request, unlike Kimberly and Angel, who happily helped my daughter find the perfect color. At the end, I noticed dents in the builder gel and white polish on my skin. When I asked him to fix it, he grabbed a file and started filing my skin instead of using acetone. I had to stop him and ask him to remove it properly. I'm pretty unhappy with the final result. My builder gel looks thick and bulky compared to my daughter's, whose nails look smooth and natural. He also cut my nails much shorter than I wanted. My pedicure was disappointing too. I repeatedly asked for my toenails to be cut short because they grow quickly and hurt in closed-toe shoes, but they were still left too long. It also seemed like several thick coats of clear polish were applied. Almost two hours after my appointment, I got home, changed my shoes, and my toenail polish dented and was ruined. I've had regular polish many times before, and it has never taken that long to dry. After spending OVER $400, I left with builder gel I'm unhappy with and a pedicure that was already ruined the same day. Getting your nails done is a luxury, especially now, and I expected much better. I still tipped well because I appreciate good service, but unfortunately I won't be returning or recommending this salon. read more

After years of dreading my monthly nail appointment, I decided to do some research to rectify this and discovered Milano had recently opened. From the moment I arrived, I felt prioritized and pampered. The staff was lovely and kind, continually making sure I was comfortable and providing complimentary drinks and snacks. I came here on Friday for a pedi, and the experience was 10/10. Parking was easy in their garage. Upon being seated, I was offered a large selection of drinks and candy. They made me a fresh green tea and gave me a warm weighted neck pillow. It was so relaxing! The pedicure was perfect, Trish was very meticulous and worked slowly and with care. Milano just secured me as a customer for life. I had the absolute best experience at Milano today. Kimberly did my amazing builder gel cat eye nails, and they look better than they've ever looked. Phillip was awesome with his pedicure service. I've already made an appointment with the two of them for next month.
