New ownership recently has led to a significant decline, in my opinion. Menu choices have been cut quite noticeably including crowd favorites. Very limited vegetarian choices now. All salads now come with chicken. Meatloaf was barely edible when it used to be one of my favorites. New point of sale system seems great but my appetizer which was entered into the system never arrived. Maybe it'll get better but there's too many choices to. They changed the Meat Loaf On the Menu. Instead of serving Mashed Potatoes with gravy on the side, they serve a baked potato and have done away with serving Gravy with it. Big mistake ! They still show mashed potatoes with gravy on the side but don't offer it anymore. Problem being gravy is still on the menu. We'll go back when the gravy comes back ! read more

I have going to the Draft House for many years. We had not gone in about 6 weeks but stop by tonight. The menu changes considerably and lots of our favorite items were no longer offered. I ask the Waite staff, and they told me the original owner had sold the restaurant. We were so disappointed. What we ordered was ok but it will not be our go to place anymore. I also notice (Thursday night) it did have the usual full restaurant of guest. I hope they bring back the menu which has made the Draft House famous. read more

Gave MDH a second chance and we are glad we did. Fries are still not as good as they were but after getting over disappointment of change, they actually tasted pretty good. They do have cheaper salad option; it was just omitted from new menu. All orders came out perfect and as usual the staff was great. read more

My husband and I loved eating at the Draft House once a week for about a decade. Unfortunately after they changed ownership in 2024, they no longer have the sweet potato fries we loved (or even a sweet potato option) and the buffalo chicken wrap only has about half the amount of chicken in it as before. We have brought this up to the waitstaff on the occasions we've been over the past couple of months, and their response has been that "they've received a lot of complaints about the changes and they wish the new management would bring back some of the old beloved menu items". Place was hopping for a Wed night at 5:30. Bar was full, outdoor seating meant stay full and inside seating almost full as well. I ordered the turkey panini and sweet potato waffle fries. The dish is served w syrup which was interesting. Syrup makes everything better so I dipped fries and sandwich in it. I thought it was really good. We went here recently to watch an NCAA game and have dinner. Upon entering there is an awful odor permeating the entire place. Not sure what it was but is was definitely unpleasant . We ordered a margarita and a mojito. They arrived in pint glasses and both were tasteless and watered down. Not sure what's going g on here but the staff are definitely unhappy. The lack of friendliness and attitude problems from the staff was unbelievable. One of the dishes ordered was a chicken cheesesteak. The chicken looked like canned cat food with artificial plastic cheese on it. The rest of the food was just ok. This is definitely a one and done for us. We won't be back. The sad part is it's in a great location and the building itself is large and spacious. The only thing missing is somebody that actually knows how to run a business. read more

We drove from out of town to try this place and were really excited after ordering about 30 minutes later our Waitress asked if we needed menus so she definitely forgot to put in the order my boyfriend had the wings and fries and the fries never came out I had the pulled pork Mac and cheese it came out cold and I mean cold. Took about 10 minutes to get it sent back and to ask for a refill on drinks then she told me they were making another one fresh for me because it took another 10-15 minutes to come back out when it did it was the same plate and had just been thrown in the microwave making it almost inedible due to how hot it was it dried out the pork on top and the refills never came we had to ask for new drinks. Only reason for giving this two stars is the manager took my meal off the tab do I think it was worth 40 dollars for an appetizer, wings and two cokes, no, but maybe we will try again on our next trip down here, coming back with low expectations though. read more

Let's be real, this is a sports bar. If you expect culinary excellence and fine cocktails, this ain't your joint. But!!! This place is fun, energetic and welcoming. I ordered both the wings and nachos. Nachos were awesome with pulled pork. Huge portions! This isn't something one normal person can tackle. The wings were cooked nicely, perfectly crisp and yummy. Had three sauces-mango habanero, garlic parm and their supposedly super hot EMS. I'll be honest, my favorite sauce was the EMS. If you don't like really spicy, don't do it. But, for me it was just spicy enough with tons of flavor. The staff/service was great. The ladies at the bar were attentive and eager to make sure my drink never went dry. I tipped accordingly. Have always enjoyed the Draft House. Food is good and beer is cold. The service has deteriorated though since they went away from not having assigned servers. It used to be that there were always servers roaming around and asking if you needed another drink or anything. You were never left wanting for anything. Now you are at the mercy of your assigned server who might be otherwise occupied and slow to serve. The difference in service is quite significant. If the service does not get better, they will lose me as a customer. read more

Being a foodie and very active on here on Yelp, I checked the reviews and figured it was the place I wanted to review next. We arrived to a half empty restaurant. The hostess told us they had a table for our 5 guests ready and they just had to clean it real quick. We waited upf ront for almost 10 minutes. As we were waiting another family of 7 came in, walked in front of us a stood there. The hostess gave them our table while.lpokong directly at us. So I really trust my fellow yelpers, as such I was reluctant the try this place. However, the mall where this place is located caters to the before 2pm or after 5pm crowds and I had my hungry 7year old. Let's start with the good stuff and there is a bunch. We got to seat ourselves and were quickly greeted my a server. The restaurant was clean and the tables already had silverware on them. The restrooms were also really clean. This place is huge and so it is a good place for big groups. They have a main bar area and then a second area in the dining room that can be used for overflow. Our order was taken quickly and brought out piping hot almost as quickly. While the menu was pretty standard pub food a few items stood out. My hubby ordered the gator burger. The fact that he didn't ask the server to be his second wife was surprising. My guy loves game meats. Seriously. Okay so why not a four or five rating. Well, the small stuff counts and it added up during this visit. The water cup given to my kid had some greenery floating in it. The blackberry cobbler was brought out piping hot, but the waitress didn't state this so of course my son takes a bite and yelps to high hell. Interestingly, no one notices. So this tells me they serve lots of families with kids, but no courtesy warning and the server didn't come and check on us after he yelped. The place is very spacious with a bar. They have a variety of draft beers on tap. The location is nearby other restaurants and bars with plenty of parking. They have a late night food menu which is your regular bar menu but have multiple sauces to select when ordering wings. Ordered the wings with half mango habanero and half honey siracha. Working in Regency Park means having to explore Cary for lunch options and yeah, eventually Macgregor Draft House hit my radar screen! A little bit pub and a little bit restaurant, MDH serves up your typical American bar fare with a slew of beers on tap. Inside they've got a main dining room, small in-between spot for darts and games before you hit the bar/pub area. Nothing too fancy, just think corporate beeratorium. I've been here twice, once for beers and the other time for lunch. The most striking thing about MDH is the service. They're built for speed and volume so they do know what they are doing. I've had the fried pickle chips (generous basket) and a burger with cheddar and onion rings. The burger was cooked medium well and had the barbeque sauce neatly tucked away on the bottom, although I thought they had forgotten it! The food here is solid but nothing that will blow you away which is fine by me. Today was my first time I visited under new ownership and found out during my visit. We literally did not receive our food for over an hr by the bartender when she finally came back. Darius may come back to this establishment, but I will not. The previous owner and his previous staff made this establishment what it was and the food was a plus. He never made you feel less than nor did his staff. Curtis would even sit down and enjoy a meal with you after asking to join. I'm highly disappointed in how the establishment his worked his butt off to create and then sold is what it is today.
