I purchased two skorts that are wick material about three months ago. I noticed earlier this month that the fabric is bally and faded already. I always wash them in cold water. Then I hang dry them. I contacted corporate about this quality assurance issue and they just recited their return policy back to me. The value isn't there because when I make a purchase I expect it to hold up for at least one year given I don't wear these items every week. This location and all the storefronts I've been inside in the past five years barely have a customer base. I'd be surprised if they survived another five years based on their popularity but good luck.

If you zoom in on the material it is Bally and faded already after just over three months of barely any wear.

My husband was returning a pair of jeans, and Karen smelled the jeans and closely inspected the tag before wrongfully accusing him of switching the tags because she claimed they didn't match the description. For the record, the description matched perfectly. She simply didn't understand the abbreviations on the tag and incorrectly assumed they didn't match. As customers, we purchase items directly from the sales floor and return them if they don't fit or if we change our minds. It was very upsetting to be accused of tag switching and returning worn merchandise without any evidence. That kind of accusation is embarrassing and unprofessional. Just because someone has worked at the store for a long time doesn't mean they are always right. I've also heard other customers complain about Karen, saying she has a pattern of wrongfully accusing people and giving customers a hard time. I hope Ross takes this complaint seriously and provides additional training so that customers are treated with respect rather than being unfairly accused of dishonest behavior.

I am writing to express my dissatisfaction with my recent experiences at the Macy's location in Serramonte Center. Unfortunately, this store consistently falls far below the standard of customer service one would expect from a major retailer like Macy's. On multiple occasions, staff members appeared disengaged and unresponsive. Finding assistance on the sales floor was difficult, and when help was requested, it was often met with indifference or outright dismissiveness. Several employees avoided eye contact, continued personal conversations, or responded in curt and unhelpful tones, which made it feel as though customers were an inconvenience rather than a priority. Equally frustrating was the lack of responsiveness when issues required follow-up. Requests for assistance went unanswered, and there was little sense of urgency or accountability. Basic customer service expectations--such as acknowledging customers, providing clear answers, or making an effort to resolve concerns--were noticeably absent. The overall atmosphere of the store felt poorly managed, with a general lack of attention to customer needs. Instead of a welcoming retail environment, the experience felt impersonal and frustrating. For a brand that promotes service, style, and trust, this location does not reflect those values. Sadly, I have been seeing this as a trend in not just this location. Additionally, no one answers the phone. I hope Macy's corporate leadership takes a closer look at the Serramonte Center location, as there is significant room for improvement in staff training, professionalism, and customer engagement. Until meaningful changes are made, I would hesitate to recommend this store to others. I also must add that their Macys Customer service line operating outside of the stores is HIGHLY lacking. Today, I walked with my nephew hoping to find a short sleeve shirt for a baptism. As I kept looking, I heard a voice from a distance that my nephew stole men's underwear. LP started to spread the word to the employees. As, I continue to walk I see a woman about 5'2 with long hair with dark brown eyes, leather round purse (nothing fancy) raggedy homeless clothes (white t, skinnies, and skater shoes) I know her ass is following us. My nephew went to a cashier to ask a different size for a shirt and that anorexic heffa gave my nephew a dirty look. BITCH I KNOW YOU AINT A FUCKING SHOPPER. YOUR A HEFFA TRYNA FIGHT! this bitch look like a diabetic toe. UGLY ASS MAKE UP, HOMELESS, POOR, I thought she was having a bad day, but I know she tryna fight. If you gonna square up then square up, don't give me dirty ass looks! YOU WEAKSAUCE WEAK SAUCE! Weak ass bitch! A few minutes later, I see her again trying to disguise as a customer in the perfume and mens section. The uneducated dog needs to get a degree because with her raggedy ass, She is a real chupacabra that needs to get sent back to MEXICO. She kept staring hard. As I made my purchase, I can see security following me around conversing in the walkie-talkie. I was harassed and could not leave the store. Fire the unpleasant overwhelming amount of prejudice and racisms they have toward black customers. Heavily populated Latino and Philippino EMPLOYEES have absolutely no right to profile any one of uncomfortably walk around in every single area that they shop in. Alex you've made the experience something terrible. As a regular citizen that pays taxes and wakes up to drive to Daly City and make a simple online purchase return while looking around and be met with profiling and can not shop peacefully or be helped with delighted and welcoming service is horrible in 2024. Know that customers know they're being followed while your security or secret shoppers are tagging along starting. It's absolutely unacceptable and gross neglect of the hiring manager and staff to not uphold what's on the application to even hire a qualified employee. DONT SHOP HERE THEY DONT LIKE BLACK PEOPLE. My mom and I visited the Macy's at Serramonte, and can you say HORRIBLE!!!!!!! Man, the service was bad and the employees were rough around the edges. I was searching for a new perfume in the cosmetic department, and can I tell you...everyone working in that department serious have an attitude problem... and the craziest part of it is that the dpt managers don't seem to care at all about the customers... we received no attention whatsoever, no greetings, no smiles, and definately, NO HELP! When I grabbed what I wanted to check out at the register, the salesperson had the nerve to circle that little part of the OUTSTANDING SERVICE survey and told her name and to rate her OUTSTANDING PERFORMANCE... how ironic. I recently visited the Macy's at Serramonte Mall in Daly City, and overall, it was a decent experience. The store is massive, which is a huge plus if you're looking for variety. I wasn't asking for a refund -- I simply wanted to exchange them for the same style in a normal fit. Because I didn't have the receipt or tag, I was told I couldn't make the exchange. The customer service was poor, and the manager, Raul, was not helpful. Considering how much they charge for their clothing, a much higher level of customer service is expected. I will no longer be shopping at Lululemon and will be taking my business to Alo instead.

Eventually, other shelves with $3, $5 and even $5+ merchandise made their appearances and took permanent residence in the store. Okkkkkk...so time to change the shoppe's name! $1 price tags are rare here now. There is still a broad selection of inventory [offering a mix of household items, beauty products, food, etc.,] but, sadly, no increase in product quality has been noticed with the spike in prices. Additionally, at times, shelves can be nearly bare with severely low inventory. Customer service can range from poor to meh with a gradual improvement as of late. I have been seeing a completely new staff lately, so perhaps they cleaned house and hired a new crew. Moral of my story: You can no longer assume that everything is at $1, pay close attention to the prices displayed on each shelf. Be prepared to potentially find empty shelves and arrive with low expectations in service caliber. At least you can count on finding a parking space in the lot that is nearby the front entrance since they are at the Fairmont Shopping Center. Oh, and they are dog friendly!
