worst service ever. We sat at the table with no forks, no water, nothing, and we just kept waiting and waiting for someone to show up. He never checked on us even once. When the food finally came out, there was still no silverware and no water. Whenever we asked questions, he gave no proper answer at all. When we asked to split the check, he shook his head, grabbed the bill out of our hands, and walked away. This spot was amazing, the staff were super friendly and outgoing. And they always have some fun event of the evening so you can always go down and expect something new different and fun. I have to specifically shout out Daphne, who was just super friendly and made sure to introduce me to the Darts people that were involved in the league. Bar area service. Had no plans of eating dinner after all the bad reviews I read so we figured maybe an app while we played darts with a beer. We ordered a couple cream ales when a server came to our table right away. Then decided on dry rub wings and fries. They were sooooo damn good we ordered another plate! And the fries were hot and had a tasty batter on them. I was impressed. We had a great time playing darts and listening to people attempt to sing at karaoke. We're happy to have found a place close to home to go have some beers. I was here earlier this evening for a small gathering and am a bit torn. From the standpoint of hosting a group of twenty or so people, I think they did a pretty solid job. There was some miscommunication and the regular spot wasn't reserved for the time we arrived, but they accommodated anyways and managed things despite only have one waiter (we tipped him heavily). However, from a food standpoint this was pretty mediocre. Imagine very boring staple pub foods and that's what you can get here. Nothing that came out was bad, but let's say I wouldn't come here for the food, but if you were here you'd probably be fine getting whatever. However, I have to give them credit for having a "cabin" room that's nice space for a private gathering. I wouldn't be opposed to going to an event here again if you just needed some space and the ability to easily get food and drink to the people attending. read more

we were there yesterday for lunch. The server was not knowledgeable ab the menu. we were never given water to start with. We had to bus our own dishes when we were finished. The drinks were like watered down. Each add on like the cranberry for the drinks were charged separately. I had to run up to the bar to ask for another drink! After church, three of my friends and I were looking for a good place to eat brunch and have fellowship and we were very hungry as fellowship at church ran over longer than we had originally anticipated or budgeted. There was a bit of a communication breakdown within the group, and I rushed an appetizer order so that I would be able to break away earlier than the rest of the group had anticipated. I ordered the walleye fingers and was not disappointed! Sadly, I was not prepared for the disappointment that was to ensue... After the entire table had ordered, and the food was delivered, we began to pray. To the entire tables dismay, our server chose not to honor our moment in silence as we bowed our heads and began to ask us questions. My brother Johnny brought it to our server's attention, and the server was rather dismissive regarding the matter. One of us ordered the basic Mad Jack burger and the other three of us ordered the Ruben sandwich. It would appear, the Reuben was the more solid choice as three of us were somewhat satisfied with our meal selection, and the burger order was in the minority, as he expressed his meal was subpar, at best. I was there for happy hour with several friends and the place was dead. I ordered a gin & tonic and was given something very sub-par. When I told the bar tender the tonic was flat and asked could she fix it, she informed me the tonic "doesn't work" indicating the beverage nozzle, and recommended gin and water! I said no. She didn't know which beers were happy hour specials and when she worked it out, no dark beer. They couldn't even do basic drinks! We ordered flatbread which was good, but borderline burnt. I got there just after the rush. Food/drinks: didn't get to try anything.. service was so horr a bilical. Service: I stood at the bar waiting to order wings & an LIT. No one spoke, looked or acknowledged me. Saw a waitress ringing a guy up, so i asked if I could sit anywhere in here and get served. This girl responds (I cant make this up): You're staaanding at the baar, so you would order AT the bar. I had to stare at her for a minute to allow the blood that rushed to my head to balance back out. I let her know I was aware where I was standing and repeated my same question. I had to laugh, I had an earpiece in my ear, and had to (loudly) tell my friend what just happened. Our server was great. I ordered the steak and Gouda pasta....it was very Gouda!!! The bud light seltzers had just come out that day, so bud reps were in the bar passing out free cans of it, so that was a bonus. Noise level wasn't to bad. The bingo caller was very clear and they have a nice board that shows what numbers have been called. Unfortunately those are the only good things I can say. We waited at a table for quite a while and never saw a server. I went up to the bar to ask if a server could come to our table. The bar tender was texting, didn't look up, turned and walked away. Decent happy hour prices. $5 flatbreads & certain apps. $2 crap beer, $3 average rail drinks. $2.50 for two beef, cheese, lettuce softshells with salsa. So I got that with chips & queso...$12 not including tip. Patio was pretty nice except for the bingo calling from inside. Smoking was allowed out there. Parking lot was tiny so had to park in overflow which didn't really matter since it was a beautiful evening for a walk and to sit on the patio. Patio bartender/server was super attentive, but git to the point of interrupting constantly. Bottom line is you get what you pay for so lower you expectations. When you take your last sip of your Moscow Mule and look inside your cup to see a dead spider on the bottom. What was incredibly upsetting was that we did not receive an apology, instead, the waitress just said "my manager took the drink off your tab" and walked away. I get that they were busy (took 10 minutes until we were greeted and we had to seat ourselves) but the least they could've done was apologize and ask what would rectify the issue. read more

I went to this bar last night with my girlfriend, not bothering or talking to anyone, on our FIRST DRINK, only to have a giant African American "manager" (who I know, personally, is not the manager) come up behind both us and say he is not comfortable with us being there and is not comfortable serving us anymore. It was due to a regular who does not like us and didn't want us there anymore. I didn't know Elizabeth Oakland who doesn't work there, and is just there everyday, can get people kicked out. Seems very odd. I have reported this business to the BBB for their practices. This issue is not only being reported to the actual manager, but to the owner as well. read more

What a disgusting venue. I never got a chance to see what the food and drink were like here. We walked into the place, which was not really all that busy, and took a seat at a table that looked like it had been pulled from a ditch and chairs that had looked new... in 1986. And we waited. And we waited. We took in the thick blue clouds of cigarette smoke both inside and outside the bar. We watched the police drive back and forth (there was a homicide within a mile of the place right before we arrived, but I can't really blame the restaurant for this, even though I want to). We grabbed our own menus from the bar and returned to the table. I flicked chunks of someone else's food off of the menu as I checked out the usual list of bar food. The menu was kind of neat. It was so greasy and sticky I was able to cling it to a vertical surface like a "Post It" note! After 30 minutes, we still hadn't had service. I stuck my menu to a wall, and walked out. The reviews don't accurately represent this restaurant! So glad we had our lunch meeting here, in the private dining room. All of our 15 orders arrived in a timely manner. Consensus was the food was great ( ok 1 burger came more done than requested). I had their Signature hot Rotisserie chicken sandwich on ciabatta au jus with fries, and it was the best I've ever had. I'll admit that I didn't have very high expectations and the only reason I found myself here was because the bf wanted some place nearby (I live in brooklyn center) with breakfast and a bloody Mary bar to celebrate his recent good news. From the outside, you have no idea how the inside is going to look. They have the most bizarre exterior. The door looked like it was boarded up, but once you get inside, it isn't so bad. We were informed that the bloody bar was no longer available, but they did have an Ultimate Bloody Mary on special for 6.99. Hmmm, ultimate, eh? I could dig that. It was actually pretty good. It came with a beef stick, string cheese, shrimp, pepperocini, olive, and of course pickle. Not as spicy as I like it, but oh well. Food was decent. The bf got the breakfast burrito And I got the soup and sandwich deal. I got the turkey sandwich with baked potato soup. Sandwich was passable. Reg turkey meat on white bread with lettuce. I will admit that I haven't had white bread for more over five years now, so I did giggle a little eating it down. They don't give you an option for wheat either. Soup was good, but not good enough that I would order it again. They put bacon in it and there are nice chunks of potato in it. Bf's burrito was a lot better than my stuff. First, it was massive. Like my head massive. It was full of greasy, amazing goodness. He even insisted that they had put "some kind of fancy cheese" that he couldn't name because its taste was so distinct. Watch your bill if you are paying via credit card. Someone added an additional tip that I did not authorize. I was there on 2/4 and was with a large group for a birthday party. We sat in the restaurant area and after dinner decided to move to the bar to do karaoke. We asked to close out our bill with our server which was no issue to him. Because it was my friends birthday I decided to take care of her and her boyfriends portion of the bill. The server charged my credit card for 3 separate transactions and returned the receipts for me to sign. There is an automatic 20% charge for gratuity already added, so I decided to not add any additional tip as I was already paying 20% on each tab and handed them over to the bartender. Well turns out that an additional tip was charged to each transaction and I only noticed this after reviewing my credit card statement. I tried calling a couple time to bring this to the attention to make sure this isn't a common practice and keep getting the push around that a manager will call me back to resolve this. I've called again 4 times since reporting it on 2/10 and still have not heard back from anyone. Avoid this place. They over charge you and the food was mediocre . Definitely a fail. read more

This place is exactly what you are looking for in a local bar. Decent food that is made to order. Beer and drinks that are served with a smile. The down side is it is on the pricier side of local bars. But I guess everything is more expensive in Minnesota. I generally go in the afternoons for happy hour and enjoy the bar crowd there. read more

First you have to seat yourself, but 2 appetizers and two entrees and all of the food was nasty. My food was cold, had to ask multiple times for silver wear, our burger come out with just a bottom bun, the queso dip was gritty. We wasted 95% of our food. Never eat at this place again!! I'm not one to complain, but I'm pretty upset with the service my family got yesterday from Jason who was the outside bartender (which I made a reservation for the day before). He was very unfriendly the entire time which made us feel uncomfortable and unwelcome. He rarely came to the table - we had to go up to the bar a lot. All 14 adults were completely finished eating and 15 minutes went by without one plate being cleared. I ended up stacking all of our plates and bringing them up to the bar, which he watched me do and didn't apologize or say thank you. I don't think he asked one person how the food tasted or even acknowledged my grandpa for it was his 90th b-day party! I've worked in the restaurant business for 7 years, so I know this industry well. I'm not just getting worked up about minor issues, he was awful and did not deserve the 18% gratuity we were automatically charged. Honestly, I've been to this place more than once and will probably continue to come here. It's one of my friend's favorite place for bar karaoke, which it's pretty good for...though I've heard the line to actually sing can get kind of long. The servers are actually pretty nice and quite good at their jobs (even with a crazy large crowd...so I'd most likely give the service a 4-5 stars). Most of my reviews however are about the food. The decor is that of a sports bar...more of the hole-in-the-wall type versus the I-come-here-for-Sunday-football type. It leaves a lot to be desired, but serves it's purposes and they have regular happy hour specials and late night happy hours. So, I hadn't eaten dinner yet...and ordered nachos. My advice...don't order the nachos. There's lots of chips, the chicken is hidden and bland...and yeah, just not really worth it. The potato skins are better, but there's not much toppings on those. If I were to get food, I'd get the wings. They're actually pretty decent. The cheese curds are also pretty decent. The waffle fries taste a little stale, but their actually crunchy.
