We ordered the mad platter which includes 4 sliders, 4 chicken tenders, and a loaded fry option. The menu says it's for 4-5 people but I say it's for 2-3 people with a good appetite. We wanted to try the different flavors so we ordered 2 crispy pork belly sliders with sticky bun, 2 mad hot chicken sliders with regular buns, Korean bbq fries, 2 Thai sweet tenders, and 2 crispy chicken tenders. The crispy pork belly sliders and Korean bbq fries were the best in our opinion. They tasted great and we did enjoy the sauces they came with. However, all of our chicken options did not sit well with us. The chicken was dark meat and was very rubbery which even for dark chicken meat is weird. The chicken didn't pull apart easily even with our hands or teeth. I hate to say this but we're not entirely sure it was chicken. Madbun is located inside of 99 ranch, along with an ice cream place and a few other places to eat. I ordered the Thai sweet chicken slider and Mad chicken slider which I think are small versions of the sandwiches. They were perfect in size and super flavorful. The portuguese bun was delicious and the chicken was fried perfectly. The only downside was that the chicken in both sliders was dark meat. I really wish they had a white meat option!! If they did, I'd make this place my #1 chicken spot and would totally put them up there next to Howlin' Rays. Can't wait to come back and try some of the non chicken treats. Had their Pork belly bun, and Soy Garlic Chicken with French Fries. Man this thing was delicious to the max. There was a hiccup with my order but the manager Aaron was very helpful and solved my issue in no time and without a hesitation. I will definitely be coming back to this spot!! My first time here and I was impressed. I got the mad hot burger. The chicken was tender and flavorful. Even my husband who is pretty picky though it was good. It's kinda pricey though. $10 for just the burger. I checked in on yelp and got free fries with my order so that was more worth it. Would be better if they included fries with the burger like how most restaurants do. read more

If you haven't tried Mad Bun, you're missing out! Their dessert, the Ubae-yonce is delicious... one of the best new desserts I've tried in recent memory. It's got a delicious deep fried green bun, which would be bomb by itself. But they add a spread of Nutella inside, to take it to the next level... THENNN they add a scoop of ube ice cream inside. This dessert looks nice, but the taste? Outta control I really like their proteins as well, influenced by Korean, Filipino, and other cultures. You can tell the cooks and owners really know what they're doing and bring their A game to Cravings food hall in Chino! I always bug them about adding rice bowls too! Haha. Props to being the only place in Cravings that has something for kids. They have Dino nuggets. Who doesn't love some Dino nuggets? Mad bun is a great Asian inspired Bao Bun sandwich type location. These types of spots are becoming more popular and for good reason. They are packed with fresh ingredients and flavorful meats. Madbun does a great job of holding true to the original flavors while creating some new ones with their Matcha buns. I tried the Crispy Pork Bell original steamed bun - as expected, packed with fresh greens, nice crispy and juicy pork belly and sauces. My only complaint is the sauce did not really go with the sandwich. I would actually prefer more of an eel sauce versus the creamy sauce that was in it. read more

Love the Chicken Sandwich, I think the brioche(?) buns really make it extra nice. They are so good! Also recommend the loaded fries. The one with pork belly is really good. However, the chicken tender did not really hit the usual high marks. It felt like they gave us the chickens used for chicken sandwich. Nevertheless recommend for some good sliders and bun. I heard about this place from a friend and had to try it because I love bao buns. They had a two bun special with a drink and I upgraded the fries to have corn cheese on top of it. I ordered the Piggy Smalls and the De La Soul. Both were the size of a burger. I probably shouldn't have ordered the corn cheese fries becaus the Piggy Smalls had so much on it, so the corn cheese kinda became overwhelming. I was too full to eat the De La Soul but my hubby said it was pretty good. The cashier was very nice his name was Aaron and he gave me gave great recommendations on what to order. This place is located inside the Cravings, which is like a big food court with an Asian Costco attached to it. Seating is scattered and I feel there was not enough tables and no one cleaning them, not Madbun's fault I don't think, but I suggest if they want their customers to eat there, they should make sure someone is cleaning tables around their area. read more

This spot is open and doing take out during Covid. We went to get lunch here the other day and I ordered three things: the pork belly bun (it was okay, lacked sauce), The cheeseburger (really good burger), and the cheese corn fries (which were also really good!) I wonder why Cravings decided to first open up all the way in Chino. They'd definitely get more traffic if they moved westward towards the San Gabriel Valley. Anyways, Madbun was the second place I've tried from Cravings. I ordered the combo, which comes with two buns, a drink, and fries. The Chicky Minaj was pretty good. I liked how the Thai flavors mixed with the fried chicken to create a mildly spicy and sweet flavor. The crispy pork belly wasn't very good IMO. The pork belly wasn't very crispy nor flavorful. The buns were pretty standard, maybe I should have tried the matcha bun. I also upgraded my fries to bulgolgi fries and they were decent but I've had better bulgolgi fries. read more

First timer. I ordered the classic chicken sandwich. Without pictures or descriptions, I didn't know it came with cheese on it. So when they brought it out, I had to send it back. They were quick and accommodating which is a definite plus. When I got my new sandwich it was basically tasteless. I don't even think they salted the meat. And it tasted like the oil was old. I couldn't finish. I guess if I ever ate here again, I'd need to order the spicy sandwich with the sauce and slaw if I want some flavor. Probably won't be back though. read more
