I would like to warn anyone who is considering purchasing a vehicle from Madera Ford to think twice about it. My initial truck buying experience with Madera Ford was actually fine, which makes what happened afterward even more frustrating. At the time of purchase, I ordered a safe for the truck that wasn't available yet. They attempted to install it twice, and both times they showed up with the wrong part. After the second failed attempt, I asked for a refund of the $400 I paid. They agreed to issue the refund. Separately, there was a defect in the paint protection on the hood. The dealership agreed to cover the repair and told me they would send a check so I could have it fixed locally. As of today, I have received neither the $400 refund nor the check for the paint repair and I have been COMPLETELY GHOSTED by not only the salesman Mitch Riegelhoth but the finance manager, Matt, the General Manager Shaun Keenan and even the owner Lak. I have: * Reached out to the original salesperson Mitch Riegelhoth multiple times over the last month. He will not take my call or respond to my text messages. * Spoke with the finance manager Matt on 3/31/26 , who promised a callback the next day (never happened) * Spoke directly with the GM Shaun Keenan on 4/1/26 , who said he would call me back the same day, he never did. I left him another message on 4/6/26 and he never called me back. * I sent a letter on 4/8/26 to the owner, Lak Brar because the dealership would not give me an email address to reach him. In the letter I explained how I have been treated and even included screen shots from Mitch telling me I would be receiving these payments. * NO RESPONSE FROM ANY OF THESE PEOPLE. I WOULD STRONGLY ADVISE YOU NOT TO DO BUSINESS WITH THESE PEOPLE. This is not about a complicated issue -- it's simply about honoring commitments that were already agreed to. I do not recommend Madera Ford. I drove my Flex to their service department to get mt electric rack and pinion calibrated, as well as the wheels aligned. After a few hours they charged me for both services, but said the alignment guy could only get it close. It was no better than it was before I brought it in. The calibration didn't even work. The car had a U0131 code. Lost communication with power steering control module, as well as "service advance trac" warning after the so-called calibration.The car still drifted to the right, and the steering wheel was crooked when driving straight. They knocked $100 off of the $149 alignment, when they should not have charged anything for it. The next morning I drove to America's Tires for an $89 alignment, which they did perfectly. Their alignment guy might need retraining. I took my car to Razzari Ford in Merced, and they calibrated it correctly, and all codes, and warnings went away. I was told whomever calibrated it the first time did it incorrectly. I will never set foot in Madera Ford again. They must hire through Bums R Us. read more

I wish I did not have to write this review but truth is buyers beware. I'm stating both the good and the bad to keep full transparency. In my search for a newer vehicle I came upon Madera Ford. They had the exact 2015 Ford F-150 King Ranch platform I was looking for. At first Jose Morales my sales guy was very helpful got me the videos I asked for and told him of my situation. Being that I live 299 miles and 5 hour drive away from the Madera Dealership. We agreed on a deal Friday. My Dad and I drove up Saturday July 25th arriving by 11am. Took the truck out for a test drive and everything seemed to be going well. Till I saw the tpms fault light on. We came to an agreement on that and finished the deal of purchasing the truck. I was stoked finally bought something I could be proud of and hopefully not work on for a good while. About half way home 150 miles into our 299 mile trip from Madera ca to riverside ca, I noticed the truck mpg getting worse as well as it struggling to climb the grades. But it had been such a long day already I just wanted to be home. I parked the truck in my driveway, 325 miles put on from the trip Saturday July 25th, 2026, 6pm. Sunday July 26, 2026, 11am, I go out to my truck to start it and the first thing I see on the dash is a check engine light. I drove it around the block and immediately realized it was in limp mode, so parked it back in the driveway. I immediately sent Jose Morales my sales guy a text informing him of this issue. Less than 24 hours from purchasing my 2015 Ford F-150 King Ranch from Madera Ford and it was already not drivable. Later that same day I scanned the check engine light to find p0299 turbocharger underfoot condition, p0365 camshaft position sensor, and p0369 camshaft sensor. I sent a video over to Jose Morales, showing all this and documenting date time and mileage. I also found that the dealership had cleared these codes just 50 miles prior to me purchasing this vehicle. Showing they were well aware of making it my problem and very well could have broken down on my 299 mile drive home. He told me that he had let management know about it and that I would receive a call the following day Monday July 27th from the used car sale manger. That call never came. So I proceeded to try and get in touch with Jose Morales as well as any available manager. Which lead me to several dead ends. Managers hung up on me and told me they knew nothing about the situation but that I'd get a call back. Messaged Jose Morales that no one had contacted me and he also ignored my reaching out. Today Wednesday July 29th I'm writing this since I have not been reached out to at all since the sale of this inoperable vehicle by Madera Ford. I own a new vehicle that I have been unable to drive since the purchase. Worst experience ever here at Madera Ford Dealership, if I could I would put zero stars..... I bought our Ford 250 Lariat truck back in January with only one key fob. The representative Lee and David said that they would give me a spare key ,but I never received one nor did David and Lee mention that to the one in charge of the contract. Months passed and unfortunately I lost my key. My husband reached out to Lee to see if he could help us but no luck on that end. So we decided to call our personal mechanics shop Top Source Truck and Trailer Repair located here in Madera CA. He said he was going to call them to see if frank the owner was able to help us since he is always buying car parts from service advisors at Maderas Ford dealership. He never called us back so we showed up with a key fob we purchased online and our truck. The service manager heard what was going on and just said so you want a free key, which I don't think was appropriate when I only was given one key to begin with. I was just asking if there was anything they could do to help us out to program our key and also maybe get the key the sales advisors promised me. He said two options here you get a key from us and program it or you can get another key online and bring it in and just pay for the activation service but after the fact that the service manager was rude I decided to ask Frank for a different solution so he towed our truck to Price Ford of Turlock with his service advisor Albert, which did not hesitate to resolve our issue! Went in to buy a vehicle for my son. Everything was good. Antonio helped us with everything and he was very helpful. The issue wasn't the salesperson, he was great. The issue came after he passed us onto the finance department to get everything settled. First off, NEVER GIVE YOUR DEBT CARD BEFORE REVIEWING DOCUMENTS EVEN IF THEY SAY THEY NEED A COPY! That was our first red flag and I should have stopped my son but he was adamant to getting a vehicle. Second, finance guy had the carfax there and never gave it to us before signing and failed to disclose that the vehicle had previously been damaged. Once in between, I told my son, before you sign think about it, this is your moment to think about it before you sign, your moment to run, to which they guy answers, he can't I have his card. To me felt more of a hostage situation using his debit card when it came to close the deal. Third, they had added a Lojack locator without informing us. When we asked for it to be removed he tried every which way to try to get us to keep it. Before he could amend that deduction from the Lojack, he proceeds to make the down-payment withdrawal before we finish all the signing. So if you go, Antonio is awesome, but with everything in your might, DO NOT HAND OVER YOUR DEBIT OR DRIVERS LICENSE until all things are done. Take copies of those documents if you must, but do not release them until you are 1000% sure of the purchase and they show you your final APR. I've bought 2 cars from here. And I purchase the free oil changes. But when I take my car for service it's ALWAYS a problem. They huff and puff at me like I'm bothering them. One time I stood in the service dept office for 10 minutes waiting to be helped and 3 employees walked in and out of that office without speaking to me. But they had time to share food in front of me and laugh about their day. Another time they DID NOT rotate my tires and did not tell me, i only knew because i read the after service papers. When I called to ask why they said because my lug nuts were stripped. But again. They DIDN'T tell me! And they never give me the oil change mileage sticker. This location is so ridiculous. I've had to go and speak to Ryan who is very helpful. But that staff. Not good. My car was supposed to be picked up at 9am at my work. I gave a specific address. It's now noon and they told me they went to the wrong address and that I need to LEAVE my job to walk my keys over to them. Um what?! Literally ALWAYS a problem when I have to deal with madera FORD. Be prepared to pay 6,000 to $8000 over price then their website says for a crappy radio system, a light that blinks when you break and sometimes they won't even throw in the oil changes. I was told they would fix my windshield that's still hasn't been done and they also never ordered my license plates so, that was another hassle I had to deal with. I'm not sure how they have so many five star review. I never leave bad reviews and I'm probably the easiest person but the last time I checked, there was another bad review stating how they overcharge, but that reviews delete now. read more

I left this review on Google so just adding here too. I believe this dealership tried to pull a yoyo scam, also called a spot delivery scam on me after I financed their Ford Explorer. When I signed the papers, Jose even told me I'm one of the few with the best credit score they'd seen, mine is over 750. Four days later, I get a call from him saying they "messed up" the financing and that I'd need to refinance the car at a higher interest rate. He told my wife the bank doesn't let them know the reason so I called and he tells me that they sold the car for less than what the bank was willing to approve which is ridiculous and doesn't make sense. With my credit, I know I qualify for the best financing. When I research, this is a known scam where they hope people will feel pressured to agree to worse terms. They couldn't use the lie that the bank didn't approve my credit, so they made up another excuse. It's just unprofessional. I bought a 2019 Nissan Rogue from Ford Mercury in Madera on November 19th. I had the car for a week. I took it back after noticing white smoke from tailpipe upon startup, plus some electrical issues. They had the car for 8 days. They told me it needed a new motor. I bought an extended warranty. I decided to take it to a Nissan dealership because Ford wouldn't return my calls and when I'd go down there, all the managers were never available. Nissan let me know Ford got the vehicle from an auction. It should've been salvaged. The previous owner never changed the oil and it was at 33,600 miles. The power train warranty was invalid. It needs a new battery. The report from Nissan states that there is no warranty to cover any engine problems. I took the car back to Ford but they refuse to unwind my contract. read more

DIRTY. DIRTY. This place is the reason people talk about dealers being shady. Word to anyone looking for a car. Don't judge a book by its cover. The cars look great. However any dealer that sells cars "as is" regardless of the year, is a huge red flag. My father in law came down to buy a Maserati and traded in his 1988 GMC Truck. He could have sold it for at least 20k because of the condition. He already owned a jag and just wanted to get the Maserati. He was elderly and due to excitement of the getting this car he did not pay attention to the taillight being broken. That was $1300 to replace. He then noticed about a week later that the ac didn't work. That costed $12k. No exaggeration. He got the loan for $25k for the car after the trade in. The interior is literally falling apart. When you look at the $25k/$12k/$1300 and the truck that was traded in, this is now a $$45k car that continues to have problems after problems. To make a long story short, he passed away. We decided to reach out to the dealer to see if they would buy it back. Mind you, they already got the truck and it's now in better condition than it was when it was purchased. They said they would give us $25k. It's a loss but the loan would be paid off. They said we could return three days later to get the check and finalize the deal. This was in December. It seemed after that, it was one thing after another. EVERYONE got Covid (yes they said that) then just excuse after excuse. I knew something shady was happening. I am assuming they thought we wouldn't pay the note and they could repo it. Well, we paid!!!! We came to get the car today. They let us know they were planning to auction it to send it out of the country to get more money. Meanwhile they had not even purchased it. They left it outside and clearly someone was in it. We were looking for a truck that would accommodate the family. Called them prior to taking a 4 hours drive to ask questions to make sure it was compatible with what we needed. So we get here. The person who helped us on the phone was a receptionist who answers questions without any doing any research. Shs stated the truck was in good condition. Even the pictures online were deceiving because the pics posted did not include any of the very obvious damage like the ripped seats, divider in the back seat, and more damage in the interior. Some minor dents in the exterior and scratches too. Those are understandable. So we go inside and talk to Nelson the sales person who approached us when we got there. We sat down to discuss the sale. Explained the interior would be a deal breaker. He went and got the manager Frank to discuss the issue. The first thing the he said is we sent a link to you with all sales information. He was referring to a link that explains financing. We explained we had pre-approval from a credit union. Then they inform us that we have to purchase the LoJack. We didn't want the LoJack. They said they could not sell a vehicle without a LoJack. They may be getting a kickback from LoJack but that doesn't mean the customer has to pay for it. With those kind of tactics take your business somewhere else where they are actually selling you something you want and not try to have them force a sale down your throat while getting their pockets lined!! read more

I would suggest going to a more reputable dealership and IF you must or see a vehicle their to buy ....MAKE SURE you record and or video all conversations because if something goes wrong , they will not make it right or even bother to call you back ...a recording would make a smalls claim case or a claim anywhere against them much easier. i wanted to check into their warranty vs a lifetime power train with a different dealership ...and because I called while making up my mind ....this infuriated the salesman Nathan...he wanted the sale to go thru so fast and Is not truthful ....its whatever it takes to sell a truck. Well I had some issues with a brand new truck (purchased from another dealership) with 500 miles on it and madera ford was able to get me in the next day. All other ford dealerships couldn't get me in for a week. So I went ahead and had Dan at madera ford help me with the issue. They figured out the issue and replaced the part in a very timely matter, about a week later same issue came up. I called Dan and stated the same thing happened, madera ford was very apologetic for this and was told to get the truck back to them when I could. Anyways they contacted ford and did some testing and realized it was the EGR valve and had went bad. They asked if I could leave the truck overnight, which I did. They had overnighted the part and had the truck back to me and part replaced the next day. Over all it's a smaller dealership but service had great communication though out the process and very friendly and helpful staff. Had a great experience , can't complain about anything. We decided to find him a car that would at least get him through college and at least a few years after graduation. Giving it was within our budget. We had an amount of about $150 per month or a car for less than $1,000. We had looked on line and found a car for $800. We tried contacting the person placing the add. We weren't getting responses and the photos showed a dealer plate advertisement where the plates would be. So we called the dealer and asked for the name of the person who was on the add. They had no such person, I asked about the car. The guy on the phone was unfamiliar with it but would check then call me back. In the interim I heard from the guy selling the car. I decided I did not need to be mixed up with this car. I headed down to the dealer which is Silva Ford in Madera. Jordan showed me a car after I explained what I needed. However the first car was a manual tranny and my son could not drive a stick. He took me to another vehicle. We drove the car and I was happy with the vehicle. They worked with me on the deal and we made it work. We purchased a 2008 Ford Explorer XLT. The car was very clean, 1 previous owner with a superb CARFAX. The records showed that the previous owners kept the car well maintained. The entire sales and credit team were a "Class Act."
